“Every item I've bought is top quality”

reece b.
1/29/20

Purchased, washing machines, televisions, kitchen appliances, small household items, every time it works great, the couriers are usually independent and sometimes they use toll, It is worth getting freight protection/extended care for certain items because even with the add on, it is still far cheaper then competitors.

Kogan, Kogan, what a plight, A trick you played, late one night. I sought a game, a gift to share, Yet found deceit laid lurking there. I never shop within your walls, For often your service falls. This time I thought, just one quick buy, Yet you charged me on the sly. A membership I didn't seek, One twenty-nine, it left me weak. Your tactics low, your cunning deep, In fine print hidden, shadows creep. Careful am I, with eyes so sharp, Yet still, you struck with your dark art. A gift of joy, now tinged with spite, As Kogan's scheme comes into light. Why this trick, this lowly game, To charge a fee, bring buyer's shame? Undo this wrong, make it right, Restore the trust, lost in the night.

A huge word of warning for anyone purchasing from Kogan. Do your do diligence and check sites like this one, because the word quality does not even appear in Kogan's mission statement. Having bought many products from Kogan the expectation that it will perform any longer than their warranty period will likely be a longshot and getting any compensation, spare parts or replacement after 12 months is impossible. I have 2 Soniq big screen TVs, 2 air conditioning units, an action camera, and a Combo 5 in 1 Scanner that either just made it past 12 months before developing faults that rendered them inoperable, or they were vastly inferior products to start with. The Combo scanner I used just once and the quality of the scan was worse than a cheap $30 printer scanner... the action camera, purchased as a a gift never worked and embarassed me when the recipient told me it had a fault and couldn't use it. The run around to try and replace or get a refund for these faulty products a waste of time. Kogan quality is poor at best. You have been warned.

Late last year I bought a Xiaomi Mi band 2 activity wristband from Kogan. Supposedly a one year warranty.

A few days ago I was walking my dog in a park. The actual device locks
Into a wrist strap. The wrist strap was weakened and the device fell
Out. I wasn't aware of this until 15 mins or so and I backtracked to no
Avail. I placed a claim for warranty because of the failure of the strap that was not gripping the device as it should.

The customer support person was useless. He didn't even get the gist of
What I was explaining even after we swapped three emails. He couldn't
Comprehend the situation. He said it was lost and warranty didn't cover lost items. I said the wrist strap failed and it wasn't like I lost the item in the traditional sense.

The wrist strap was part of the item under warranty and it failed to do its job. Beating my head against a brick wall.

I'm going to keep away from Kogan. Had to wait ages for the item. They charge heaps for delivery. They don't have any phone contact.

This warranty thing topped it off. Stick with eBay. They are more reliable and give 'proper' warranties.

CAUTION!
Hey, ppl who was charged $99 without knowing the hidden membership trap, please contact ACCC, so ACCC knows Kogan has set up this trap for their Australian customers.
If you had the same issue and don't know how they got you to sign up, please check https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cJS6j0XNcMU
They put membership option at check out page, and make it looks like a "agree condition" section like other websites (on other websites, if you don't tick checkbox at similar location, you can't go next page). But in Kogan website, it makes you to pay 99 dollars after 5 days. The checkbox is followed by large bold "Try Kogan first for free", then smaller text in next paragraph says you will be charged $99 after 5 days. Of cause they don't add $99 to the subtotal, otherwise it would be too easy for you to notice the hidden cost. Then you find $99 been taken from your credit card after 5 days. This trap have got many ppl paid unwanted and unaware membership as I found so many ppl complaining.

Well designed trap! Good job

At first, I wasn't sure how they can sneak this charge as I wasn't buying anything on the day when it appear on my bank record, the only purchase i made is a $5 sim card one week before. Then I created a new account, went through the same process, and found how they do it. And took screenshots.

Verified purchase

My washing machine was ruined in the QLD floods. I ordered one through kogan as the website said it would leave the warehouse within 2 days. That was 8 days ago. Its still "processing" in the warehouse apparently. Totally impossible to contact customer service. It doesn't exist. My request for a callback has been ignored.
Using the app, a computer generated message says there may be delays to flood affected areas. Why? The roads are all open. Shouldn't people be told this before placing their order?
Just searched the website again for the same machine and lo and behold... Its in stock and ready to leave the warehouse in 2 business days. And that's after entering my post code. No warning about delivery delays. It would seem it is not in kogans best interest to inform people about delivery delays PRIOR to purchase. I doubt it's in stock at all. It's blatant false advertising. Very disappointed. People who've been affected by floods are under enough stress. I'm trying to run a business. I would have gone somewhere else if I was aware before making this purchase. Not good enough. Get your act together Kogan!

Tip for consumers:
Kogan's statement 'leaves the warehouse in 1-2 business days' is not to be trusted. It is not possible to contact customer service for a reliable update.

Buyer beware! Once you purchase something from Kogan you can forget about hearing from them again. No contact phone numbers. Worst delivery ever! Ordered a washing machine. Advert stated delivery in 2 business days. Waited 5 days for 75kg machine to be dumped in middle of dining room with big mess of polystyrene all over floor. Paid for "Kogan First", Paid for Extra Warranty, Paid for Premium Delivery, Paid for Freight Protection. I was informed by transport company that the machine would be installed in place for me. The transit bolts were left on the machine. I weigh 55kgs. How am I supposed to move a 75kg washing machine in to the laundry. I now have a washing machine blocking the bathroom entrance in my dining room! How am I supposed to get in to the bathroom? Its Saturday afternoon so I guess I will get in to my bathroom on Monday when I can get someone to move the machine for me. No phone numbers to contact Kogan. Asked driver to put machine in laundry and was told: "We don't do that!" No response from delivery company! Will NEVER buy from Kogan again!
Does the machine work? How would I know, I don't have any taps in my dining room.

I have read others. WAIT TO HEAR MY KOGAN STORY.

I purchased two beds from KOGAN all paid in one order, received an email on confirmation that the order will be delivered in 3-4 business days. The delivery was delayed by a week. When the delivery finally arrived, only one bed was delivered (even though they were in the same order).

I chased up the courier company (Fastway Couriers) only through their unhelpful and non existent service, they advised that the second bed would be dispatched in another order, and made me wait an another week (2 weeks now at this point).

When the second delivery came two weeks after, it arrived in one box even though it clearly states that the order is in three boxes. The bedhead arrived, with no signs of the remaining part of the bed frame or drawers. The courier delivery topped it off by marking it off as "delivered" without any authority from me. I have been calling up the courier company, and Kogan - with no updates. I have been promised that the truck has been loaded and its going to be delivered today. This is now more than three weeks now, I am still waiting, No answers from KOGAN, no answers from their courier company. I have fully paid for the order as well as the shipping but I am still sleeping on the floor.
Everyone should be beware before buying from Kogan, they cheat customers, they take your money and do not deliver the goods. THIS IS FRAUD.

Be warned. You CANNOT ring Kogan with a problem about your product. You have to go via it's "helpdesk" (haha) which simply refers you, again and again, to the product manual.

I'm a quality seller on Kogan and time after time I'm dismayed about how sellers are treated. We get monthly performance reports on things like how fast we dispatched, whether we cancelled any orders due to nil stock etc. At first glance, the rated metrics look awesome and very fair and a reputable company should have no trouble meeting them.

However, each month I'm given a report that even my own account Manager will say the information is incorrect. So for example, getting my items out as required, I'll receive a report with a low rating and an added warning. When you look into the situation, there was a public holiday. So I contact my account Manager and he assures me that the public holiday information is updated on their end. Which is great, but it also means I should be receiving the updated report from his end, NOT an incorrect Monthly Performance Analysis with a warning.

To add to this, they require communication or dispatch information on orders within 2 hours of purchase. This is despite giving them the information that your e-Parcel contracted pick up time is midday. So if an order comes in at 12:30, they still expect dispatch information by 2:30. These guys can't even meet their own standards, I am now waiting for over 1 month for contact in relation to a customer request that clearly didn't even belong to me. It was about shoes and I don't even sell shoes. You will see by my attached image that I'm following up weeks later on a request that is STILL unanswered to this very day.

Even the staff that handle customer service help are condescending and very little help. You find yourself having to write 2 or 3 emails for the same question because they give you general 'blow off' type responses, which in the end only wastes time and resources on both ends.

The treatment of sellers is just downright shameful.

Ppl be very careful if you purchase from Logan
2 products I ordered from them never showed up
I waited all day this has happened twice
Then I'm told I have to pick it up from a bussiness centre
Tried to contact them, You cannot speak to them at all
There is no customer service number,
You have to leave msgs with a robot on the customer web site
Ppl I urge you not to purchase products from them
Cach has wonderful customer service
You can actual speak to them, and they will resolve any issues you have
Logan a big thumbs down
Won't order from them again
I'm left in limbo right now,
And am wanting to council my order and get a refund
No luck at all

SNEEKY UNTRUSTWORTHY BUSINESS
After a lengthy unsubscription process and deleting the app I still coninued to receive unwanted notifications beeping and popping up on my phone. When you tap on them they go directly to the website and there is no recourse there or with kogan directly. Five emails and more unsubscriptions and still received these annoying interruptions. Finally worked out that kogan had enabled Chrome to notify me intermittently with links to there website.
Solution on Samsung
Settings, Sounds and Notifications, App Notifications, Chrome, Settings (cog symbol too right), Kogan.com will appear there. BLOCK IT
Another Australian company displaying immoral behavior.

I have bought a KOGAN brand laptop, it arrived very quickly. As soon as I open I realise the cheap quality and put a request for return and refund within 2 hours of getting it for a followed reason:
- Extremely slow processor
- Made of cheap plastic
- A Mouse has a terrible touchpad (Have to click multiple times, sensors are also Kogan quality (Bad).
- Camera quality is extremely poor (like NOKIA's first-generation phone cam)
- Speakers are very low volume. (with full volume its 24dB - 28dB) that's less than the volume of a Kmart fan;-)

How do I suppose to know about all these issues without buying it?

And Kogan refuses to refund in full instead they offering me a store credit and also asking me to pay for the return.

All I have is REGRET after feels like cheated by KOGAN, most probably we will end up going tp ACCC.

Tip for consumers:
DO NOT BUY IT

I ordered robotic vaccum over Kogan and there are no delivery for 12 days and no refund for 12 days. When I tried to contact the customer service it was just though email. They would reply you after 40 hours and no problem solved. I had to wait for more days to find out what they choose to do otherwaise no reply and no goods delivered.
Finally after 8 emails helpdesk sent me an email about refund. In the email they just asked you to reply 1 or 2. You try to type 1 or 2 and no place to type for you to reply. Your life become very hard without the choice to reply. So ridiculous even though you had told them they needed to refund into your account instead of credit.
Before I made the order I believe Kogan were a trustworthy service store and I even ordered the extensive warranty. Now I doubt how Kogan would deliver this without phone contact and proper customer service.
After 7 business days I haven't received the refund which Kogan promised 3-5 business days. I am not confident when I could receive my refund. Shall we go to Fair Trading? How could We trust Kogan?

Kogan has the most shady of business tactics you can employ just above the legal-illegal threshold. I ordered an item worth 360 AUD with delivery fee which weights 30kg or so. They did not think of notifying me for delivery, and the courier left me a note to collect it myself. How am i supposed to know when the item is coming if i am not notified in the first place. This is above my common sense. Then when I try to call courier company they go round and round in circular. Then when i contact kogan they do the same thing at first, but when I told them I am gonna go to police they start making an investigation. Upto this stage, its already 3 weeks since the order. At last, they said it will be resolved. Then the lag of communication is another thing. Takes too much of your time and energy to deal with these people. They try to make things complex, whilst its just that they can't do their job properly. At the end, I was again not notified for second delivery attempt, but luckily I was at home to answer the door bell. It got on my nerves, and send an email telling the costumer help that you did it again, the same thing all over again. Delivering my item without notifying me. I am sure, they would have left it on door this time, and since there was no rain cover, this item would have gone all wet and damaged. Aggghhh. Monsters.

Same as other bad reviews. Products are advertised as top quality, what you get is not. You get charged for things you did not want or are told are free. You end up with an email war that goes in circles forever. It is worse if they ring you. You get someone who speaks perfect English, but does not understand a word of English. There is a phone number to contact them. Very hard to find. Hate the thought of trying it. Save your money.

I tried to contact Kogan they only have email contact they really need to get their act together and allow you to speak to a person as the emails are not answered immediately by a person they only have a Robot reply telling you to go on line which you already have done!
Finally got a reply a few days later! My parcel was supposed to arrive between 5-7 th Feb 19 it finally arrived on 12/2/19.5 days late!
