Purchased, washing machines, televisions, kitchen appliances, small household items, every time it works great, the couriers are usually independent and sometimes they use toll, It is worth getting freight protection/extended care for certain items because even with the add on, it is still far cheaper then competitors.
Kogan, Kogan, what a plight, A trick you played, late one night. I sought a game, a gift to share, Yet found deceit laid lurking there. I never shop within your walls, For often your service falls. This time I thought, just one quick buy, Yet you charged me on the sly. A membership I didn't seek, One twenty-nine, it left me weak. Your tactics low, your cunning deep, In fine print hidden, shadows creep. Careful am I, with eyes so sharp, Yet still, you struck with your dark art. A gift of joy, now tinged with spite, As Kogan's scheme comes into light. Why this trick, this lowly game, To charge a fee, bring buyer's shame? Undo this wrong, make it right, Restore the trust, lost in the night.
If you want information about a phone repair, and admit, in writing, already that you dropped it... they rant on about "misuse of product", "not intended usage" all this puerile finger pointing $#*!, when you have already admitted you dropped the thing. They do not read a word you say, just mindlessly cut and paste.
If you complain they then imply you are stupid with that "sorry for the confusion" crap
When you ask to contact their boss, they ignore the question.
Amateurish, incompetent, very rude, totally unhelpful, time wasting. If their mobile phones are never ever dropped and if they are so robust, then why do they sell a vast array of screen protectors and cases?
The "smart" tv I bought my folks had such dreadful instructions that it looked like it had been done with a machine translator rather than a human. Worst and most unhelpful technical writing I have seen. Their "smart" tv currently cannot access the internet. Prior to that it was slow, unresponsive, and for my elderly parents the remote was dreadfully hard to use.
Their customer service is horrible.
Avoid using them, even in those cases where you have to pay a bit more.
Sort it out why make people frustrated with your mail and then again that they cant simply unsubscribe, they need to login to some account I never opened.
Stay Away from KOGAN why?
I Just wasted 45 days of my time with Kogan incompetent & lazy customer service team, when I caught there dodgy seller "Decor Innovation" selling same product cheaper on there website & eBay. And Kogan team members were hopeless in getting thus REFUND back for 60 days.
Purchased a brand new Samsung S7 from them (a re-seller). Took 5 days to dispatch, no tracking info until it arrived and then discovered it was a refurbished Samsung SM-930U, an overseas model that does NOT get all the Australian carrier bands. My Optus sim only gets 80% coverage with this phone missing 700MHZ (Band 28). As a result, data speeds indoors or in vehicles are terrible. Also came with a low quality wall plug and not a fast charger. Ear plugs also looked used, not even in a box, just flopping loosely in the box.
There was no offer to replace with the correct 4G Australian model when I contacted them, and I asked, just an offer of a refund days after I return the phone at MY OWN COST.
BEWARE. There are other places on the web to purchase actual Australian models of superseded low cost new phones.
What an absolute joke of a e-commerce site.
During the Covid-19 period, like most Australians I've made a number of on-line purchases. The Kogan site is by far the worse e-commerce site i have ever experienced.! After confirming with one of their support team the product i was ordering was correct, Kogan delivered the wrong product.
Do you think i can get any traction or answers from Kogan on how to return and exchange the wrong item - they supplied? NO CHANCE!... You get shifted around from one web link to another with no ability to explain what the issue is. How is this site even legitimate in this country is mind boggling. Its a shame the $#*! Smith name is behind this dodgy outfit.
Thank goodness i dint purchase a large expensive item, that's besides the point! I've required to make returns on other purchases i have made on other e-commerce sites and have not had a single problem with their support teams - quick to respond and turned the order around quickly.
If i could rate this mob a -5 i would - bunch of DOGS!
Truly the worst experience I've had with any supplier.
Ordered a pregnancy pillow on 18 October and was advised that it would be dispatched 19 October. After not receiving any shipping details, I contacted Kogan on 26 October and received an email from ‘Kyle M' requesting that I allow an additional 3 business days for dispatch as they are experiencing delays. By this time, it was already 5 business days after the promised dispatch date. I then followed up a number of times and received NO response. I submitted another request for an update on dispatch and received the identical automated email from ‘Kyle M' requesting that I allow an additional 3 business days. I followed up multiple times over the 15 business days, 19 regular days, to try and get some sort of answer as to whether I would actually receive my item, and now, on 3 November, I have no choice but to cancel my order and request a refund.
People choose Kogan because it is an Australian business and we want to support our own economy. However the service provided, or lack of I should say, from Kogan is absolutely atrocious. No response from email enquiries and there is no phone number to try and speak to an actual human. Incredibly disappointed by the complete and utter disregard for any sort of customer service.
I wouldn't recommend purchasing anything from Kogan that you actually need within a reasonable time, as there is NO way to contact them to get any sort of update on dispatch and delivery.
This will certainly be the last time I ever even consider Kogan as a supplier.
Tip for consumers:

DO NOT BUY FROM THEM! WARNING THIS IS KOGAN TRADING AS $#*! SMITH ON LINE! SERVICE IS POOR AND NO PHONE NUMBER TO CALL! ITS JUST A FRONT. WORST COMPANY! WHEN THERE IS NO WAY OF CONTACTING THEM, YOU QUESTION WHERE THEY ARE? CERTAINLY NOT HELPING AUSTRALIA ECONOMY! THEY DONT GIVE AUSSIES JOBS! YOU ARE PAYING FOR POOR SERVICE AND EMPLOYMENT SOMEWHERE IN CHINA! THEY DON'T PAY AUSTRALIAN TAXES!
Kogan where do I start. Their website is misleading, customer service is nil and only reply with generic automated replies and don't actually answer your questions. Even on this tread their response is to keep emailing. KOGAN YOU DON'T REPLY WITH ANSWERS JUST EXCUSES. I ordered two tv's. When thinking about ordering the website mentioned "Purchase Now and item will dispatch tomorrow". TWO WEEKS AND STILL WAITING!
Now standing by for a standard "we take customer service seriously" automated response
DO NOT BUY FROM KOGAN!
I HAVE NO PROBLEM WITH THIER PRODUCTS OR THEIR DELIVERY SERVICE... THE PROBLEM IS THE ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP FEES HIDDEN IN THE DELIVERY SECTION WHEN YOU CLICK FOR DELIVERY... THIS IS A DELIBERATE PLOY TO EXTRACT MORE MONEY OUT OF THEIR CUSTOMERS... I AM NOW GOING TO BE AN EX-CUSTOMER... THEIR WILL BETTER STORES OUT THERE WHO ARE NOT AS DISHONEST
Tip for consumers:
WHEN YOU CHECK THE DELIVERY FEES LOOK FOR THE ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP WHICH IS HIDDEN WITH NO COSTS SHOWING ..... SO BEAWARE OF THEIR ACTIVITY TO SCAM MORE MONEY OUT OF YOU .... DISHONEST IS WHAT I THINK OF IMMEDIATLEY

$#*!smith sold me a faulty MacBook air and while it was still in 3 month warrant the whole screen just cut out. They have been mucking me around just to get the required return address details. I have sent them screenshots and told them what the problem is and they know they sold me a faulty MacBook air knowingly, and now they want to muck me around for the warranty refund. They have tightened the screen ribbon belt and sold me the laptop and they knew that it wouldn't last more than a couple of months at best. NEVER BUY FROM KOGAN OR $#*!SMITH, YOU WILL REGET IT.
Tip for consumers:
NEVER BUY FROM KOGAN OR $#*!SMITH AS THEY ARE SELLING FAULTY ELECTRONICS AND CAN'T BE TRUSTED. AS MOST PEOPLE ALREADY KNOW.

The MacBook air has all my data on it and I was not told that it had a faulty screen. They sold it to me knowing that it wouldn't last, and then tried to blame each other for the issue and failed to refund me under warranty for the faulty MacBook air. KOGAN AND $#*!SMITH ARE BOTH DISHONEST SHIFTY DEALERS.
I purchased my item on a Tuesday, with express delivery with a (false) hope my would arrive by the weekend...
Two weekends later it still had not arrived despite being marked as sent the day after my order. It took 15 days after the initial order to be delivered. I spent $15 on the delivery alone after being promised it was arrive in 2 days.
Maybe I live rurally? No, I live in an Inner Easten Suburb of Melbourne under 20kms from where it was sent from.
Maybe it was a rare item? No it was an xbox game that just been released 2 weeks prior.
Maybe it was a once off? No my sister ordered an item from Kogan and she still haven't received her item 10 days later.
Ironically I ordered another item from the UK and got it faster then something sent from Melbourne.
The reason for the 2 stars is the otem itself was as described. But if you want you item within a reasonable time frame I would NOT order from Kogan.
Tip for consumers:
Do not bother if you want your items fast.

Kogan will illegally sign you up to their monthly subscription service at $79/month WITHOUT YOU CONSENTING TO IT. Please check your details before buying as they will expect you to opt OUT instead of opt IN which is MISLEADING AND DECEPTIVE CONDUCT. Think carefully before buying anything here, they are shady AF
Since some days I try to purchase a TV set from Kogan. I can pay the item via my NAB VISA Debit Card but this time I had in mind to take advantage of the part-payments without any interest. I tried this during check-out, but there was no facility to do so. Therefore, I contacted Kogan Customer Service and found out that there is no phone facility to contact the company other than via the online form to be filled in and send. Short later, I got an answer that the customer service is just too busy to answer my question and it would take up to one or two business days to answer. I got an answer and it was the same nonsense and no answer to my question at all. Instead of writing useless long email messages that Kogan is too busy to answer my question at the same time, an answer to my question could have been written. It looks like Kogan does not want to sell items to me. In future, I will refrain from ordering goods from the Kogan's website. Also, there is no telephone number to contact customer service. It looks, customer contacts are one-sided and customers cannot contact Kogan service centre by phone.
Kogan's business attitude is bad and reflects the kind other companies such as Telstra, Belong, and others lately treat their customers. It is time that the relevant media and other publications get aware of this.
Tip for consumers:
Be careful as you have no possibility to contact the company by phone to discuss your questions.

None as to the bad customer service
I bought a TV for my elderly parents thinking I could save them quite a bit of money. A week and a half later, the remote broke. The middle button just wedged in and could not be used. No phone number so I emailed customer service only to be told that they had no spare remotes and I had to go a purchase a universal Logitech remote at my own expense. I was not happy so I emailed them back telling them to pay for it or I'll return the TV to them with the faulty remote in exchange for a new one. We waited for over 11 days so I emailed them again asking for a tracking number. Only this time they said they haven't sent it. I then asked to speak to a manager and at this stage I was ready to return the tv. There is only an on off button but no switches on the tv to adjust the channel or adjust volume, it is all done via a remote. A few hours later I get an email with a tracking number saying a universal remote will be delivered the next day. So when it came, you had to connect the remote to a computer and do all these things to get it to work. They need to state something on their products that it needs a tech savvy young person to operate it because my 80 year old parents don't have any computers so we had to go back and forth picking up laptops to try to help them programme a remote. The biggest lesson is that you pay for what you get and a few hundred dollars for proper customer service and support is worth more than anything. While I'm alive I will never use Kogan again
Used Kogan for first time. Purchased a product, with delivery method they threw in a free trial of some sort (KOGAN FIRST). I paid for my product with pay pal account. After their free trial ended/after 28 days they "AUTOMATICALLY" deducted $99 from my pay pal account? So, No choice, no emails, they just took $99 from my Pay Pal account!
I opened up a dispute from Pay Pal end/unauthorized payment, Pay Pal said, bad luck, nothing they could do! As it was automated... I contacted Kogan customer support 3 times, worried that I had been stung out of $100 dollars and am struggling with life financially atm, like most of us.
I DEMANDED they refund my money and I cancelled the membership. Scary thing is, I cant seem to remove my pay pal acc details/first choice of payment. So all good, I will simply cancel my account and NEVER shop with these thieves again. ## WARNING ## They take money with your last payment details out of your account with out consent. DISGUSTING! Im out. NEVER again.
I felt upset and frustrated about Kogan's customer service. I couldn't buy the product by using my rewarded credit. After I checkout, there is NO ACCOUNT CREDIT FOR ME TO CHOOSE.
I have sent them numerous emails, and they emailed me back with the instruction but still not working. Since then, no one communicates with me, and I can talk to someone on the phone to solve the issue. I felt very disappointed about their service.
This brand is a trap.
I bought a Kogan W8 True Wireless Earphones (White) on the internet and when it arrived home I was surprised how Kogan earbud was different from the website photos, totally ugly and disproportional.
I tried to return the product but they didn't help me because I've open the product, although, I didn't turn it on.
As I said, the service support answer was ridiculous and the product is not worth it.
Think well 2x before buying anything from Kogan.
My order number is: ZX2M2P2K
While I've never had a problem with the specific products I've been sent, I can't in good conscience recommend anyone buy from Kogan.com; their dispatch times and warehouse processing estimates are a complete lie, and I mean in every respect - the second your transaction is processed you've basically waived goodbye your consumer rights and any semblance of transparency from Kogan - they could give a solitary fart about timely dispatch and delivery.
What to expect:
- Delays: often into the weeks and months.
- Lies from Customer Care: generic emails full of "assurances" and "final stages" that basically amount to "GFYS, it'll arrive whenever we could be bothered".
- Annoyance: as you watch the item you bought two weeks ago plummet to half that price with free shipping, powerless to warn others to steer clear.
- Bewilderment: you'll start to wonder how it's even legal for a company to operate like this, then you'll read their terms of service and just feel kind of sick - like an acidic bile taste in the back of your mouth.
Honestly, just use Amazon or a smaller reputable online seller - better yet, jump in the car and head to a local business - 0/5, complete garbage merchants.
No response! Take your money and disappear Robotic, generic return emails. No resolution Been waiting for a legitimate reply. No-where in sight. Can't keep blaming COVID!
The owner clearly knows nothing about serving others. He is only in this for as much money as quickly as he can. Real business owners address the concerns of their clients in an expedient manner. I never ever hear back from them. Things like, why has my login email changed to my gmail email. Just because I happened to have Google open and I was signed in does not mean I gave you permission to use it or change it. My entire history has been removed except for one item. I have asked you to put everything back to my original account (the one I authorised) and you ignore me. You sell products based on misleading advertising and you ignore me. I am done and so are my followers. I will do whatever I can to dissuade anyone from mentioning you except as a useless time wasting business. You get what you create.

Is Kogan com trustworthy?
Kogan.com has a consumer rating of 1.33 stars from 152 reviews indicating that most consumers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Kogan.com also ranks 300th among Electronics sites. The most common issues with Kogan.com are around customer service, which is not as good as expected by some customers.
Purchase an item that wasn't as described. Because I opened the box they refused to allow a return. Also impossible to phone anyone in customer service. What a crap company
The customer service experience has been extremely frustrating. They double-charged my Kogan mobile plan, and since they don't have a contact number in NZ for customer support, I had to email them. The support staff keeps asking for my credit card details to confirm the issue. I'm puzzled as to why they need my credit card details when they already have it in their system. I believe they can verify my identity through other means, and I don't feel comfortable sharing my credit card details. This is ridiculous
Additionally, I decided to terminate their service and disable the auto top-up feature a month ago, but it continues to charge me. To make matters worse, I discovered that they charged me for the full month's plan just two days before I canceled. I emailed the staff, but they have been unable to provide a satisfactory answer. It's been over two weeks, and despite suggesting that they consult their manager if there's a language barrier, no action has been taken. Just keep ignoring my questions
I call the customer service number on the main Kogan Website, then refer to the Australia Department. They said NZ doesn't have customer service to contact (but that's the only number on the website). The AU staff pretty much just saying is none of business and her attitude is very bad as well.
I've request the staff in my email to forward my request to his manager who can understand English, but never happened. There is no other way I can make the complaint. So I have to post it here. Ridiculous!
After sales support is non-existant, the quality of their TV's are so poor that I actually threw mine overboard rather than pay to have the luxury of Netflix being installed. At least it may create an artificial reef, less artificial than Kogan. DO NOT BUY KOGAN
