Purchased, washing machines, televisions, kitchen appliances, small household items, every time it works great, the couriers are usually independent and sometimes they use toll, It is worth getting freight protection/extended care for certain items because even with the add on, it is still far cheaper then competitors.
Kogan, Kogan, what a plight, A trick you played, late one night. I sought a game, a gift to share, Yet found deceit laid lurking there. I never shop within your walls, For often your service falls. This time I thought, just one quick buy, Yet you charged me on the sly. A membership I didn't seek, One twenty-nine, it left me weak. Your tactics low, your cunning deep, In fine print hidden, shadows creep. Careful am I, with eyes so sharp, Yet still, you struck with your dark art. A gift of joy, now tinged with spite, As Kogan's scheme comes into light. Why this trick, this lowly game, To charge a fee, bring buyer's shame? Undo this wrong, make it right, Restore the trust, lost in the night.
The first you will hear of Kogan First is when they take $99 from your credit card. They do not send you any confirmation that you have signed up (whether intentionally or not) so the only reason you know that they are charging you is if you check your bank statements and see a $99 charge that comes out of the blue.
Purchased a free shipping sim card and did not aware the 14 free trail added to my purchase. After 14 days, Kogan charged $99 to my same credit card. Sent emails to query and replied that it is not cancelable! What a disgrace dealing for cheating and stealing money from customers. I'll lodge a complaint to Fair Trading NSW
My card was used by the scam group to purchase items on this website. I couldn't find any customer service or phone calls on this website. They only accept email and finally, they call me over 36 hours. The only thing they said is they can't do the only thing about it and can't give me any information about another customer. Also suggest I call the police. How the $#*! am I going to report the police if I can't provide any information? The lost is lost Well, then why not hurry up and find a way to patch your website so bad guys don't use your site to launder money? And why not feel like banning their accounts, more people will suffer. Also, sit the goddam customer phone service.
I paid $99 for free delivery for selected items but still checkout came up with delivery charges. When asked to customer care, they informed me about my location and as such not qualified for free delivery on selected items. Kogan rejected to pay for $99 that I paid as I can take advantage of it anyway.
Told to be at home between 8am and 6pm for my delivery. This was confirmed by text. Took the day off work in today's difficult job situation and consignment had not arrived, no one can give me and answer and all I get is we will investigate and deliver to a new address... wtf I want me purchase and payment for a days loss of wages BUT... they use an offshore call
Centre that knows $#*!
If there was a 0 star rating I'd pick that. Conned into a membership scheme by deliberate ambiguity in the checkout process. They must be laughing all the way to the bank, as they deduct monthly when people unwittingly join. Already my only purchase has cost another $72 over 6 months. Very difficult to speak to a person, but when I missed a return call someone emailed me stressing that their shonky process is all legit and therefore I won't be refunded. She directed me to the page where I can cancel the auto deduction in the future - but no option for that exists!(surprise, surprise). The matter, however, will be taken further (ACCC) and my bank is also looking into it. I'd never purchase anything from Kogan again, so their refusal to refund is false economy and bad business - not to mention word-of-mouth and the web. They had the opportunity to refund in good faith but didn't take it.
Tip for consumers:
Be VERY careful that you don't get conned into the monthly deduction membership plan for free shipping, as its presented in a misleading way. And also be mindful that its very unclear how to get out of it once committed.

I bought an Iphone 7 as a gift it wasn't working so i took it to apple to activate it, they said this is not compatible with Australian system it was sold first in 2016 in japan so after couple of month back and forward emails they accept to exchange and then after 2 month the new one started to be faulty & sounded terrible, we just stopped using it a year after i found out they are charging us $10 every month since last year as they claim i signed up for dodgy membership which at the moment trying to cancel it, the most dodgiest customer service ever if you want to save your self headache don't buy from these guys: (
I'm so disappointed and disqusted with Kogan for the recent price gauging and taking advantage on Covid19 pandemic towards Australian as they don't show any support, all the care is making a profit.
Won't be buying from Kogan anymore
Long story short, Great Product Range at good prices. Customer Service, Returns policy - Very Poor.
Still waiting on a iPhone sent to technicians 3yrs ago, and a chromebook 1 year ago. Still not sorted or customer service gives you the run around. Sad part is, I've continued to purchase products which have been fine. In the end, I gave up and lodged a general complaint with fair trading. Thankfully all email trails were kept and forwarded to Fair Trading.
No longer a customer or advocate of Kogan.com.
Purchased a digital tv antenna & it struggles to pick up channels even though we are 15km from two major Sydney transmitters... the unit is recommended for within 25km of a transmitter. Contacted Kogan help & they refused to return the item because it doesn't meet their change of mind policy'... just ridiculous! Cannot recommend Kogan at all
These guys are really dodgy. Check out multiple articles online like this one to show they are notorious for ripping people off - https://www.choice.com.au/shopping/consumer-rights-and-advice/your-rights/articles/kogan-returns-and-refunds-issues I paid 300 for a garming watch nearly a month ago. I complained umpteen times to say it wasn't received and they just gave the usual run around and blamed Aus Post. They then stated they had called the product back and refused to issue a refund until it comes back. Never offered an explanation as to what had happened. I could have bought this item weeks ago and there shipping promises are complete lies. I have no idea how they have been allowed to continue in Australia.
Have a 55inch hd tv, has never worked properly, sent to a repairer and supposedly had the tv fixed. Had tv returned and was told the panel was replaced, the so called smart tv will connect to wifi, but will then constantly go into boot loops, shutting down and restarting until it stops restarting altogether and I have to reflash the software. Customer service is very bad, with contact phone, and constant same reply to emails. I will never use this company again, and Kogan you miss out on my updating many of our home appliances in preparation to retirement, we are replacing everything.
I purchased several clothes hangers from Kogan.com, which did not come cheap, believing I was buying quality. How wrong I was... it was just poor Made in China crap, flimsy, thin, unhandy... I had to struggle to put a T-shirt on one of them. Of course, I returned the item, but I had to pay the return postal fees and I was also charged by the seller with a "change of mind" fee. On top of everything, they're spamming my email address every day with commercial advertising! Don't take anything from them even if they give it to you for free!
Bought a treadmill about 3 weeks ago. Made it up and two of the screws were missing, so called them up, have to send them emails, send about 3 emails and they said they would send out them out. Three weeks later, still waiting. Won't be buying anything from these guys again, absolute joke
I purchased a security camera system that will no connect to my router, you can not get into the system to trouble shoot, I contact Swann tech support who said I needed to return the item as it was faulty, 5 days later despite having a Swann Reference number, they have still not organised a return, and I have had to uninstall the hardware from the house? Pathetic service to say the least and one email per day if you are lucky
They give absolutely wrong size chart. I bought 5 pairs of shoes for my son. There is a difference in the shoe length even in the same brand the same size. The shoes that they sent to me, claiming that it is EU44, look like skis. Every pair longer that it has to be at least two-three centimeters. I relied on their shoe chart. Never again buy from Kogan. Crap experience. Now I spent 5 hours taking pictures, re-sizing them and consulting the PAYPAL re how to refund my money, because it is impossible to do it through their website. People! Do not buy from Kogan, if something would go wrong, you will cry and swear.
Impossible to get in touch after you have made a purchase. You are asked to give your email address to which you are supposed to receive an email, to verify, except that email never arrives. I will never purchase from Kogan,or $#*! Smith ( Both the same). Ever again! One less customer. Me!.
Tip for consumers:
Don't buy!

I couldn't remember what I ordered from Kogan, and wanted to find out, as I make a lot of purchases from
different sites. Impossible to gain access or speak to anyone! No way to do business!
I bought a TV for over $700 for the company I work for. Sure, they took my money, but that's all that's happened.
I can't log in (am in a loop as they keep on emailing me to verify the email address, I click on "verify", then it takes me back to web page with "This password reset link has already been used". Have tried literally over 100 times. Can't contact customer service, as you need to log in to send an email. Can't get a tax receipt, as you need to log in to get it. Can't see when it is being delivered, as you need to log in to get tracking. Can't call a phone number, can't get IT support. THEY ARE TERRIBLE - they take your money then you are on your own.
Tip for consumers:
Stay away from any website where you cant call them

very expensive smart TV - not delivered
I made a purchase last year, along with the product they made me buy a 14 days membership trial for free. Although I did not know such a thing as it did not appear on my phone. I did not notice that i was paying until 4 months later! That i have been paying the monthly membership fee! And now as i am trying to amend it, i can not delete my credit card detail on the website! I will never shop on KOGAN again! The worst!
I ordered a Air fryer two days ago and wrote a wrong email address by mistake. So I didn't receive the Invoice for this perchsse. I been sending the emails to make changes in my email address. But, No response so far. What a ridiculous customer service.
I placed an order for an item and was offered a trial membership of Kogan First free of charge. When I hit enter to agree, somehow I was charged an annual fee of $99.00. I contacted customer service immediately which agreed to cancel my Kogan First membership and refund the charge to my credit card. Despite several followups, I still have not received the refund which they attributed to processing delay due to increased processing volume.
Dead set junk! I bought a netbook, touchscreen with removable keyboard.
It was the flimsiest rubbish I'd ever spent money on, within two weeks three main keys stopped working A D E, stuffed. So obviously it's in the trash now as it's impossible to get assistance with anything.
They said I'd have to send it off and get it back in a month and a half, which would have no doubt turned into twice as long or more had I gone down that road.
I didn't feel like having a stroke so I chucked it and lost 450$.
Save yourself all of this and DO NOT DEAL with these thieves. I can't believe this is an Australian company.
The site says delivery in 1-2 days. It has been more than a week and the site shows that the order is still processing in the warehouse.
No customer service, no replies to any queries. I would give 1% of a star if I could, and I would only give 1% to be polite...
Tip for consumers:
Only slightly preferable to having the coronavirus. Both are best avoided...

I purchased a phone with kogan over 3 weeks ago. It is rough times so i am happy to say I got a delivery in just over a week.(applause but no too much)... Thats when it went wrong. I opened the box and they had sent a rose gold phone instead of silver. A little too famine for my liking. So after a 3 days of back and forth of I'll keep it if you give me a discount they said they couldn't and I sent it back.
Now I email every day and get no response. I want to give them the benefit of the doubt but when you f@#k it up fix it. If the phone was cracked if I claimed there was damage, ok investigate and sort it out.
But I ordered a silver phone and you sent me a ROSE GOLD one.
Bought a fan advertised a ultra-quiet, nearly silent. It's the exact opposite. After complaining, I was given instructions on returning it at my expense. When I said I wouldn't pay for postage, I was advised they deemed my complaint as change of mind so postage was my expense! Very bad customer service and product not as advertised.
