Arrived at 8 am at LabCorp and had to wait over 15 min just to sign in as only 1 out of 3 check-in computers were working. Sadly, most of the elderly had no idea had to sign in and scan their documents. The waiting room was full and there was no spot to sit. Was there with my elderly aunt getting her bloodwork drawn after a recent hospital discharge (ICU) for Diabetic ketoacidosis. Having had to fast since 6 pm the night before her blood sugar was 38 and dangerously low. The staff was curt and rude when asked if she could be seen soon or if we would have to leave as she was faint, sweaty, and shaky. The receptionist told me there was nothing she could do, and the wait was at a minimum of an hour. Her tone was rude and dismissive not only to me but to most of the people in the waiting room. On top of taking the morning off from work to take my aunt, we had to leave after 1/2 hour in fear she would go into a diabetic danger zone. There needs to be a better system in place in situations like this! Increase your staff, get your computer systems working, and more importantly train your staff on compassion and common courtesy in dealing with the elderly and their specific needs. Our experience in your facility was substandard at best and the waiting room & bathroom were in need of a good cleaning.

WENT IN ON MAY 18TH FOR A PRE-EMPLOYMENT DRUG SCREENING. THIS IS 3 WEEKS TO THE DAY CALLED THEY SAID STILL IN TESTING AFTER BEING RECEIVED IN THE TESTING LAB ON MAY 19. I WILL NOT GET HIRED WITHOUT THAT. THAT IS MESSING WITH A JOB THAT I WILL LIKE AND conveniently CLOSE TO MY HOME. HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE FOR URINE TO BE CONTAMINATED OR NO LONGER GOOD FOR TESTING. LABCORP I AM THINKING OF A CLASS ACTION LAW SUIT AND I WILL BE CALLING AN ATTORNEY TODAY.

Extremely long wait time
December 9, 2021

I took a drug test for employment on 11/30/2021. It is now 12/9/2021 and still no results. This will effect my job because I won't get to start until my results come back. I called the customer service number to see why it's taking so long and the lady was not helpful and rude about the situation.
UPDATE:: STILL NO MF RESULTS! It's Mo day the 13th and you know what? Guess who DOES NOT GET TO GO TO ORIENTATION TODAY! I have to wait a WHOLE MONTH BEFORE I CAN START NOW. Thank you so much labcorp!

Long wait to get tested. Then the results were never sent to my Doctor's office for over a week. I probably spent a total of five hours total to get the results. First problem was Lab Corp's telephone dialog was so difficult to navigate. No way to talk to Customer Service. Finally resolved the issue 7 days later after finally spending over an hour navigating through several people to download a copy of the results, which they never would send to my DR Office by email... because of not FAX. Then I emailed it to my DR. Final resolution; 1. Contacted Billing and they said I to get Results Copy I had to go online. That required about 30 minutes to register and print. But a hangup in the navigation gave we an opportunity to talk for the first rime to a Customer Service person, who was finally helpful to send the result to my computer. If LabCorp had telephone prompt on my first call, it would have saved me hours of frustration. Everything is computerized. When you enter the office... you can talk to someone, maybe... but that position was vacant most of the time. There was one there luckily when I arrived, who advised me to sign-in on one of several "sign-in stations and the wait would be up to 25 minutes. (I had used this place before without a long wait) But this time it took 55 minutes after the sign in... only 30 minutes longer that estimated. During the last week only one of five telephone calls was answered. The others took too long to leave a message... which was never returned. Last time I will use Lab Corp!

The most rude people work at this location. Unfortunately my insurance won't cover Quest if it did I wouldn't be forced to come here. If you have a choice, don't come here!

I have to have a fair amount of bloodwork done throughout the year. I typically go to a small place in Lakewood but twice this year the paperwork for blood testing was sent directly to a Labcorp (one in Lakewood and the other in Gig Harbor) instead of being handed to me. Strangely, both times the lab technicians were almost comically rude... the first so bad that I refused to have my blood drawn there and was able to take the paperwork and go to my usual lab. Today, I had to use the lab at Franciscan St. Clare on the other side of Lakewood and the technician was positively terrifying. No greeting whatsoever as she was terribly busy tearing up a piece of kleenex into tiny pieces while watching television, certainly no courtesy warning before jabbing with the needle with rather bazaar aggression, and when removing the tourniquet, she whipped it off so abruptly it actually snapped the side of my face. Fortunately, there's really no need to use this lab so I'll make it a point not to in the future. I can't imagine this unhinged woman working on a kid. Must be a terrible corporation to work for.

A mickey mouse outfit
December 13, 2022

When is labcorp going to join the 21st century and realize that computers have limitations and that timely test results are critical.
My recent test results were "lost in space" recently without any notification because I had moved. The way you check into labcorp is with your drivers license. In the state of New Jersey because of the back up at the motor vehicle department, a letter noting your new address is sent which is kept in your the glove compartment stating the new address until my license expires in 2025. My results were unreported because the address on the license did not match my changed address. The doctor has the correct address and it appeared on the order. No one in the office could suggest that this might be the problem. It truly is a "brain dead process" for the workers, no human problem solving skills necessary. The check in lady who calls your name from behind a wall in the back of the reception area, lucky I can hear, gave me a customer service number to call. This inability to change the address efficiently in the labcorp system until my drivers license in changed in 2025 is inexcusable. But here is the strange part; I told reception there was an address change back in September and those tests were posted with out a problem. A lot of unreliable information across the process.

Rude and inadequate
November 28, 2022

To begin with I used to like Labcorps. They had an easy to get into location that you could easily schedule appointments with and be seen as soon as you walked in. Well, that location closed recently. This leaves the entire Sacramento Metropolitan area with only two providers. Getting an appointment required planning nearly a week in advance. Today I went for my appointment and forgot my slip. I asked the technician if she could schedule another appointment for me and she laughed and just told me to do it on line. She was too busy? I then asked her how Labcorps was able to serve the entire Sacramento area with just two locations and she again laughed like it was a joke. She told me that they were short handed, people were out sick etc. etc. They could not hire more help, the list went on and on. Basically she did not instill any confidence in their services. I told her Quest was not like this and she replied they were booked for weeks out at all locations? I checked and this is a straight up falsehood. I am not sure why Blue shield contracts with this lab honestly. They are forcing folks to drive for miles due to the inadequate number of labs in the area. Sacramento has metropolitan population of well over a million people. But Labcorps feels two labs are sufficient? Somehow Blue Shield thinks this is good business for their insured? This is just another example of a failing healthcare system here in California.

For profit Healthcare in America is terrible. I guess it's no surprise that the medical community entrusts our critical bloodwork and medical testing with people who lose results, lose blood, fail to perform tests requested by doctors, and misfile data, and then play dumb when you call customer service to try to get some information. "Results? We didn't get any order for antibodies on____. What are the codes for that? I can't tell you anything without the codes." [Googling Labcorp test codes for various antibody tests.] "here's labcorp's code for____. The doctor Ordered that test. Did you do it?" "uh. No. We weren't asked to do those tests. You would have to go back to your provider." "I did. They showed me the tests they ordered. Did you complete them?" "You'd have to go back to your doctor."

Feeling really confident. I'm sure if the test is positive, I can't trust it. If it's negative, I can't trust that either. What's the point?

I delivered my Mom's urine sample over a concern of a UTI to the LabCorp facility on Houk in Spokane Valley at 8:00 am. We did not hear any word of the initial results by 4:45 pm. I called Crown Health Home Service who called LabCorp. No results yet. My Mom has a UTI, and we have to wait over 24 hours for the results of a urine dip stick test that takes 2 minutes (Speaking from experience; I am a Medical Laboratory Scientist at Valley Hospital and process these samples daily.) Actually, there are two issues here - the incredible delay of service from LabCorp, and the don't care attitude of the Crown staff who told me,"If your Mom is in that much pain take her to an urgent care." (Mom - wheelchair, oxygen, right.) LabCorp is known far and wide in the industry for terrible service.

I needed a COVID antibody test for a procedure and my doctor said I needed to have it within 5 days of my appointment. I had it 4 days prior. I had to cancel my appointment because I STILL have NOT got my results. Going on 6 days. They said it should take 24 hours to get result but no more than 3 days. I have sent 2 emails in to their "Contact US" - NO RESPONSE. I have been on hold for over an hour for the past 3 days with them to just disconnect me.
I wouldnt even give them 1 star

I went to get my blood drawn yesterday and the phlebotomist mentally and physically abused me. At first she refused to sign my OHP paperwork and the Vice President of Modivcare and my doctor's office witnessed this phlebotomist acting crazy and yelling at me that her son died a few months ago and that I was now making her life horrible by asking her to sign my OHP paperwork.
When I got back in the room she shoved the needle so hard in my arm that I have a mark and am still on pain then Kayla the phlebotomist told me after she drew my blood that I was now probably going to end up like her dead son.
I am suggesting that noone goes to this Labcorp because there is definitely something wrong with the phlebotomist that they employ.
I am taking my complaint to the Justice Department and the Better Business Bureau.
If you value you and your family and child's health I do not recommend going to Labcorp.

I went to the LabCorp in Pleasanton, CA yesterday so my daughter could get her blood drawn. The lady at the front desk told me to check-in using the tablet that was near the desk. I tried entering my information on the tablet, however, whenever I pressed the buttons on the display it didn't work. When I told the lady, she said that's because there are some issues with the tablet and that they were waiting for a new one to replace the one they had. She said just keep trying to check-in in on that tablet and she even tried helping me, but it just wouldn't work. At this point I was a bit upset and thinking to myself how could they not have a working tablet so people could check-in or at least offer to help check-in using the computers on their desk. Plus, knowing that there were issues with why didn't they tell me from the very beginning so I would have to struggle with it to see what's going on. Then my wife called and I told her we should have gone to Quest Diagnostic instead. I also said I can't believe how this place doesn't have a working tablet of all things so that people could check-in. The lady overheard me since I was speaking a bit loud because I was really getting annoyed. She then said sarcastically we can make an appointment for you at Quest if you want. So, we basically walked out of there and my wife said to go to Quest instead.
