On the weekend of July 4th of 2020, I was not feeling well and went to a local Medi Center. After being seen by a doctor I was given a COVID test because of some of my symptoms having similarities to the virus. I was informed I would have the results by 7/8/20. I had called LabCorp on 7/7 in hopes my test results would come in early. I was assured they would be available on 7/8/20 when I did not receive a call, I proceeded to contact their main office to find out my results were not done and would receive them no later then 7/9/20. I'm a father of 2 Autistic children. I had to make arrangements for my children which is extremely difficult being it's extremely rough on their daily routine. After expressing my concerns to the Monica from their corporate office, I was assured I'd have my results by 7/10/20 and redirected to my local office in which I was informed they were in fact not done! Had I not been falsely lead to believe they would have my results on the date promised I would have chosen a different facility in which to have quicker results. Even their recordings say the COVID tests results are 1-3 days. They are being deceptive to people which could lead to very unfortunate situations leading to others getting ill by their negligence and ability to be honest with their clients. It's no wonder why they're rated a D+ with the BBB. It's a terrible way to do business and can seriously do much harm in the process. They could have simply been honest and said they were not able to complete the test at the promised date giving me a opportunity to get one elsewhere. I've been deceived from the local LabCorp all the way up to their corporate office

Educate the staff
November 13, 2018

Phlebotomist's attitude started when I had asked her to give me a few minutes to finish nursing my 7 month old. Mind you, we were the only ones there and it was a problem she had to come back to the door to her us. When asked for a warm compress she stated they don't do that. Denying a warm compress for a 7 MONTH OLD with tiny veins should have been a red flag right there!
When the second tech came in they put a tourniquet for the 3rd time and then she told her to use the warm compress. Why? I asked for it and was denied, then my kid had to had tourniquet put on for 4 times in total and on BARE SKIN, you don't even do that to adults! At least she should have used the sleeve that was right there. After a third vial of blood I had asked her to loosen the turniquet already and she raised her voice telling me that she knows what she is doing. I loosend the tourniquet myself and told her he is getting hematoma and the blood will not flow since it's occluded. I'm a nurse myself and used to drawing blood.
The phlebotomist got upset that I loosend the tourniquet, we only for a little bit of blood for our 4th vial but I'm ok with that (the other 3 vials were good for the main tests). What I'm not ok with is her telling me, at the end, that I'm gonna have to go somewhere else as she doesn't have enough blood... what!? It sounded like she is going to sabotage my son's specimen and I hope I'm wrong.
I've never had issues with labcorp before, always use it. But PLEASE EDUCATE YOUR STAFF ON BASICS and the attitude, listening to the parents as we know our kids better than you. This is not rocket sience.

Conveniently I was able to order a test and make an appointment online created a patient portal everything that I needed online to show up for my appointment…. So I thought. However, upon arrival I am told that I have a past due balance; this balances around $100 and they can't provide me any service without that being paid right then. Of course, unprepared did not have as I had already prepaid online. Issues i have 1, no notification in any of the two emails or portal of this past due balance and the requirement to pay it in order to perform the services or even a cautionary mention to make sure you check any balances so if you have any past due or outstanding balance these must be paid before you have your appointment or you will not be able to have services. It certainly notes that if you're 15 minutes late you won't get service. This type of note would level up to a more excellent Customer Service plus resolve bills I'm sure. #2. Treatment by the representatives was extremely poor and disrespectful customer service obviously no real customer service mentality. Britney over at Mebane Cone Health LabCirp comes out as the Manager Rep. To address my issues she doesn't apologize for the miscommunication or take any responsibility for LabCorp to me as a customer not being aware that this would impact my services today and that I took off work. But is sure to raise the volume of her voice where there is a waiting room with people that can hear every single thing that's been said where she repeatedly five or six times loudly states about the past due balance and how I can't be serviced until it's paid. I respectfully respond that none of that was noted anywhere and I took off work, still, No acknowledgment that improvements in communication could be made on their end, in fact, an excuse is made about how the systems don't communicate. Treating me with contempt, disrespect and dismissiveness just because I have a past due balance that needs to be paid instead of with empathy, compassion and respect plus an acknowledgment that things could've been communicated better and then both people would have their needs met: LabCorp would have their bills paid and the customer would get provided the services Will not use LabCorp again.

Beware!
October 26, 2018

When our family practice was owned by the drs, it was a wonderful place to go. All the medical staff was warm and caring. Since being taken over by Fryecare it has become a nightmare. When you go for your lab work, which is done by LABCORP, they will give you an estimate of what they think you will owe once your insurance pays and then they attempt to bully you into giving them a credit card, which they will keep on file to pay the amount your insurance does not pay. Today I saw them haress an older patient, that at the very least was mildly confused, to pay this amount. He offered to pay in cash but was told no "we need a credit card to put on file". He said his wife had one but she was in the car so he totters off to get her. While they did tell him that it was his choice, I'm pretty sure he felt obligated to provide one. When the wife comes in, she gives them the credit card and says she's never been asked to provide one before but they assure her this has been a practice for a long time now. While some people may want to do this, beware! Because if you have a problem it will take them months to correct it. I have my name along with my mother's on her checking account and when applying a check to her account, they marked through the note on the check that had the invoice # on it and rather than applying it to her account, applied it to mine, which had a zero balance. It took between 5 & 6 phone calls over several months and faxing them a copy of the canceled check, to get this cleared up. So really, do you want LABCORP to have the ability to charge your credit card before you have seen your EOB (explanation of benefits) from your insurance carrier? I don't think so!

I needed to do an employee drug screening. I tried scheduling an appointment online but their scheduling system showed literally no information for that entire month. In the appointment date popup, there were no selectable calendar days, no grayed out calendar days indicating unavailability, just a blank view. Well that sucks, but no problem since, on the very same page, it say

"No appointment? No problem. Walk-ins are welcome."

In size 30px font. So I drive out to the facility for a walk-in. When I get there they direct me to a kiosk to scan my id, then ask me for my appointment confirmation number. I figure they want the registration number provided by the 3rd party agency my employer used for employee background checks. Nope! I discovered otherwise as the receptionist pointed to a half taped piece of paper in the corner of the room with "appointments are required" written on it. Well how the hell am I supposed to schedule an appointment if your jank site won't allow it. Mind you they don't take over the phone scheduling either. I tried the site again and their scheduling system magically started working, but to my continued disappointment, the whole damn week was booked... If you've ever taken an employee drug test then you know you don't get much time to complete it before it's considered a fail. So i'm standing there SOL trying to figure out how to get this test done with 2 days before the deadline. I just need to piss in a cup and be on my merry way. Less than a minute guaranteed! Far less than the 30 minutes I was spending with them trying to figure out their inconsistent website. Crazy thing is, it wasn't just me. There were 2 other people there dealing with the same issues. Yet with that overwhelming evidence no one was willing to work with us. I've taken one drug screening before and it was painless; No appointment, in and out, seamless. I now have to travel 30 miles out of town just to pee in a goddamn cup... I'm pissed I say!

RAN THE WRONG TEST!
March 4, 2022

Don't Ever Go To This LabCorp!

Address:
******* Foothill Boulevard, Suite 104,
Rancho Cucamonga, California *******

I went to this location at 7:00AM to get a SAME DAY STAT lab done. The doctor who ordered it is in Utah which is 1-hour ahead of California. The instructions on the lab order were to send results back to the doctors fax number. About 4 hours later I got a lengthy text from his nurse whom I communicate with about everything on what my purposes of seeing this doctor is. She tells me she had reached out to LabCorp and they had ran the WRONG TEST! I was very concerned as I know I emailed the test that my doctor had put on his patient portal for me. I double checked everything to make sure I didn't email the wrong test! Both me and his nurse were stumped. She told me that the order they had was for something else than what I gave them and they told me that the order in the system showed another test. It turns out all they did was look at the history of the same Doctor that was ordering these labs and just assumed that it was for the same test. I guess! They didn't even look at what the order was that I had brought in the day I came in. THIS PISSED ME OFF SO BAD! Needless to say me going in at 7AM in hopes of getting the results back to my doctors office in plenty of time were of no luck because of this MISTAKE! I do not plan on going to this location again!

I had no idea that I owed $1,400 to LabCorp until I went to my cardiologist to take a blood test and the reason I didn't know this is because LabCorp will send a bill that I owe for say $27 and then a few days later I get another bill for $27 and then a week later I get another bill for $27 so I'm thinking that most of them are the same bill and instead of LabCorp sending an itemized complete bill of what I owe they send out individual envelopes with one bill inside for a particular date of service. I've never received a complete bill of what I owe from LabCorp. When I called someone in North Carolina I'm from New Jersey I was told if I have an issue with the way billing is being processed maybe I should speak to the vice president of LabCorp. I'm not saying I don't owe LabCorp but I also found out that on a few occasions I've been billed three times for the same day for the same amount. And I was told that sometimes I take a blood test sometimes I take a urine test and of course the blood test cost more and of course the bill would be more. But for example, if I went to a doctor appointment May 1st 2022 and my responsibility for payment after the insurance company pays their portion is $147 I shouldn't have two more bills for $147 for that same day, same procedure, same doctor's office, and that's happened a few times. So one of the main reasons I'm writing this review is that today September 15 2023 I received an incredible amount of envelopes (bills) from LabCorp which I think was over the top and in each individual envelope is an individual day that I was at my doctor's office and instead of LabCorp sending a complete itemized bill of what I owe they think it's smarter to send out 20 something envelopes. Usually a company will do everything they can to save on paper, ink and postage. It seems like LabCorp doesn't care about wasting money maybe they should find it another vice president who cares more about the companies spending because obviously he or she doesn't
