I've been buying clothes from this website for a while now. I live in Australia, there are not a variety of options available for Islamic wear so this website was a god send. Everything was fine until they removed their own currency, TL, from their website. I was informed by one of their workers after inquiry that I would have to buy from that point from the 3 currencies that were offered USD, GBP and EURO. They're a company based in Turkey but I can't but from their own bloody currency!
For example:
I bought a 9 items which should have amounted to 300 TL
Had to buy it in $219.75 USD, which converted to AUD cost me $309
$219.75 USD converted to TL equals to 611.07 Turkish Lira...
They're abusing overseas buyers! This is despicable!
They pocketed an extra 300 TL for doing nothing! Us overseas buyers are paying double for what the people in Turkey would be paying. How is this fair?
This site SHOULD be only charging for shipping costs and nothing more!
Won't be buying from here ever again.
A disgruntled customer
I have ordered from Modanisa a couple of times - its a bit hit and miss. Some garments fit well, others have terrible fittings and will have to be returned if you're not prepared to pay for them to be altered. The customer service is not great - don't expect UK standards, I ordered 3 dresses on the basis of an offer of buy two dresses and get the third for £1. In reality, I only really wanted one particular dress but ordered another one to take the benefit of the offer. However, when my order arrived there were only two dresses and the one that I really wanted was not included. I e-mailed Modanisa to query this but received no answer. I then telephoned them and was advised that the missing dress was faulty when received by them so they did not include this in the order but applied the discount pro rata. There was no explanation of this in the invoice which was sent to me or any option to choose a replacement dress. Also, one of the dresses received was a terrible fit - I'm a normal size 8 but the upper part of this dress was ridiculously tight and not what I would class as 'modest' at all. I contacted Modanisa again to see if I could order another two dresses to replace the dress which was missing from my order and the unsuitable dress on the basis of the original offer but was told that this campaign no longer applied - not particularly satisfying given that I only ordered the dresses on the basis of the original offer.

Very confused by all of the bad reviews, I can see how people may have bought low-quality items or made mistakes with sizing, as the website could be a little bit clearer, but I think a bit of common sense is also needed when buying online. I chose my items very carefully, matching up measurements and considering the cut, fabric etc over a period of a few days before buying. I was very pleased with my two orders, which both arrived within a week of ordering, everything accounted for and good quality material (albeit with some loose threads which needed to be snipped off), and no extra taxes or delivery costs were charged (I live in europe). I made a small order first to gauge the quality of the items/ reliability and was pleased with that, so then went on to make a larger order.
Looking at other people's comments I would also just like to mention that I don't think you can reasonably expect Modanisa to take responsibility for extra taxes or charges because surely it is the responsibility of the buyer (who is buying from abroad!) to look into this before buying? I know it can be frustrating and perhaps Modanisa could mention on their site to look at what you may be charged depending on your country before you buy, in fact i'm sure this must already be in their FAQ!
Mashallah a great website for affordable islamic clothing, just use a bit of common sense and consider what you buy carefully and inshallah you'll be fine.

The items I ordered arrived on time but two of the sweaters are sewn in a way that no one any size can use because the underarm area is too tight to move. I have contacted them several times by phone, the customer service reps are polite but nothing gets done, they keep asking me to take pictures of the item several times, I'm not sure the reason for that; to waste my time, test my patience or get fed up of the process and just decide to keep the items. I would never purchase from modanisa website again.
Last phone call with a sales rep named Sahila, she put me on hold to talk to a manager about my case, then told me that the manager will research the case and get back to me, and that never happened, I just received another email asking me to take pictures of the items again in different angels which doesn't really make any sense to me since I'm not claiming the items are torn or dirty, THEY ARE SEWN THE WRONG WAY!

I ordered scarves from them, and the quality was high. HOWEVER, the colors I got are NOT even close the cloros that are on the pictures. So DISAPPOINTING. And you also have to pay for the expensive return shipping, which is supposed to be FREE. It looks like their return policy was made on purpose to not let anyone's return their items! NEVER AGAIN!

If there is less than one star I would give nothing. Very bad return policy even if they made a size mistake. I bought many items from Modanisa and evry time I buy over 8 items in one transaction and every time I receive an order it has to be 3 or 4 items smaller size, I have contacted them and sent them a proof of size measurements with a pic, they refunded me half the cost. Then next orders I thought I have to order 3 or 4 sizes bigger just to be on the safe side but unfortunately I got my dress wich costed me $115 way too small, I'm size 42 I ordered 48 due to previous size problems but it again way too small, no communication with customer service no help for their own mistakes all they said was you have to return on your own cost and you have to add 4 cm on each size chart available. I added 3 dress sizes and yet didn't fit. If you want to get a good quality go somewhere else and stay away from Modanisa all thier clothing are cheap china made not Europe as they described and proof of that are sizes are nothing to do with Europe size.

I had made an order a few weeks ago and when I received the order, I was asked to pay 55% of the price as an extra shipping cost. Modanisa claimed I would only have to pay 20%, or nothing at all and yet I was asked to pay 55%. After emailing back and forth with them, they continuously tried to put the blame on me and didnt want to refund these extra costs. They had said that If I dont want to pay this extra cost, I could always ship it back and pay the shipping price which was even more. The started ignoring my emails and I have not heard back from them in 2 weeks, TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! This website is a scam!
I have placed an order with modanisa to only receive a different product and color than I ordered. I tried contacting them more than ten times. I've sent more than 20 emails back and forth. They drove me insane! Asking me for a photo of the product, and then ask me for another photo of the whole product, then saying we need you to take a tape measurement measure the product and send us a photo, then they would say we want a photo of the tag for the product, and then they will come back to me and say we not need another photo with better lighting. And on and on and on and on never ending! I responded to all their emails I was promised someone will contact me and resolve this issue and give me a refund I was promised more than 5 times. Till today nobody has contacted me, they haven't resolve this issue or refunded me for this product. Till today I'm still waiting they took my money I have a damaged product that I did not order! Very disappointed with this company! The Next Step will be reporting them to Better Business Bureau!

Answer: You can email them on info@modanisa.com to get inquiry about your tracking number, according to your country there will be customs fees and so you can check online what are the costs for your country. Also you can ask them on email which is delivering company dhl or aramex so that you can call ans ask them about any extra fees. Well if you dont pay you sont get your order. Hope you arent charged much
Answer: I am also in the US, but it took almost 2 weeks for my order to come and there were very steep additional charges to pay upon delivery. In total, I paid $170 for shipping alone and it wasn't even here in the time quoted by the website.
