I have leased with MainStreet Renewal, and it was God moving through these people. Everytime there was a repair which only happened twice out of the year I rented, Mainstreet was there. My rental home changed management companies and MainStreet was not the original Management company, so my contract was not negotiable, especially the terms (legally). However, God is good, my job changed which meant my pay dates changed. I needed to pay mid month instead of by the 5th of each month, I requested my due date changed to the 15th, although it was denied, MainStreet was very compassionate. I was charged the late fee, but I made it and I am so grateful I was not evicted. MainStreet worked with me each time! You can choose to open the door and see the trash outside or you can open the door and see the beauty and be grateful for everything. So to the complainers what are you choosing to look at? Thank you MainStreet, I am grateful for you!
Don't rent here. We got our basement flooded And the tub on the top floor was leaking to the second and they never fixed the issue. We got HOA fines only after two days of staying there for weeds in the grass and the ramp in the back that the owner built that we had nothing to do with. Also there was a tree growing out of the gutters that roofers kept asking to fix and mainstreet never fixed it. We moved out and made sure they got the 60 day notice and everything and they still put an eviction notice on the door and processed it. I fought with them for months to remove the $9k worth of fees they put on my bill. How can you evict me when I gave notice when I was leaving like I was supposed to and moved out of state? I only found out because someone went to get the mail and sent a picture of the door with the notice. Worse customer service, worst maintenance, worst company.
Stilled owed $711 from this company! Fought for months, of which they agreed I am owed, and even made a fake invoice indicating they'd send me my check. I've never received it. DO NOT RENT WITH THIS COMPANY! You have been warned.
I recently rented a home, where the "management' company is based out of TX. Even though my rental property is in NC. They will not help you! I have been in my home for 5 days, with NO hot water! None. Called the "company"... with the understanding that the staff speaks little, to no English. Upon expressing my concerns, I was met with an email of " did you do this"... eleviating their responsibility as a management company to my concerns as a renter. Do not ever, rent a property outside of TX.
You will be left on your own. As a Nurse, Nurse of 19 years, I have never been subjected to this money grab, ever. My sons and u deserve better than thus ill begotten company.
Do NOT Rent from Main Street Renewal. Ever.
Horrible experience. Their communication was HORRIBLE. They requested documents over and over even after providing them. Canceled our contract without explanation. Trash company. 10/10 DO NOT RECCOMEND.
This company is making alot of money scamming people to pay application fees on an empty house. They charge 40 dollars for each person so if a couple is trying to rent the house it's $80. If you times that by 20 applicants it comes to $1600. They make more money leaving the house empty and notice that they have ALOT of empty houses. You get an inquiry on your credit report from them looking at your credit score but they never get back to you about an approval or denial and it's almost impossible to get them on the phone to check the status. You have to wait an hour on the phone or more to talk to someone. I am going to continue to write reviews and report them to the Better Buisness Company until they are completely shut down. Scammers!
We tried to go see a house 5 different times. Apparently the lockbox was never setup correctly and could never get in. Was able to view another house, turned in application, was approved and nothing. Have tried calling, emailing for week as house just sits empty and nothing at all.
Scares me to think how bad they would be if we were in a house and any issues came up.
DO NOT RENT FROM MSRENEWAL!
I feel cheated by this company. Agents do not answer emails for more than 20 days waiting for an answer, they take the money from the applications and then they do NOTHING. Horrible headache I do NOT recommend it at all
Terrible, 'nuff said. Have to have at least 100 characters it says, so here it goes, M. S. R. Most used phrase, "we're sorry", what a joke this company is, contacting legal representation soon.
I could not ask for better service from the Mainstreet group! Dan and Ben have worked diligently to get problems fixed. Weather buying or renting there are always glitches and they have been awesome!
These people will not repair unless threatened. I'm enclosing photos of feces and gray water they let stay 3 months before repair. Horrible! Uninhabitable!
My home has been without working plumbing since 9/29/22. It's now 11/20/22. That's right over a month. The people you call do not care. The idiots they send to your home either don't speak a language you can understand but have no idea what the hell they are doing.
In this ordeal my kids and I have been living from here w flies and sewage in my yard. Toilets that bubble sewage and do not flush. The clothes we wear cannot be washed here and I now have 300 in laundry fees. They will do nothing for you. They will not even answer you at a management level. They have some desk jockey w no real concern or decision making authority. You'll get the run around or put on hold until your asked a survey. A survey for absolutely abhorrent service.
After 5 weeks of endless phone calls with people who will literally drive you to a stroke I get an email that for all my time and trouble they give me a 400.00 dollar concession on my Octobers rent. Really!
Run from this company. Never even fill out the application. If anyone would like to contact me for pictures or video of what you'll be dealing w renting from them, I'll gladly provide

I just read a review where they were given 1 star and the person was a single mother of 5 who was applying with the company using a housing voucher. Well I am a single mother of 3. I applied Jan 27th was approved by Febuary 2nd. Recived an email saying I passed background and credit. It's now March 20th and I've contacted the leasing agents many times to get an update. They tell me the same thing no additional documents are needed and someone will reach out in 24-48 hours. No one has called me other than the initial contact where I was told I was approved. They have no sense of urgency or care for people who are applying with a voucher. I've transfered my application 2x because the properties I wanted were taken by cash paying tenants or tenants not using a voucher. Although they state there is no discrimination it sure does look that way. When the only urgency is for those applying who are not using Housing vouchers
My family have just experienced one of the most devastating things that anyone could go thru. We lost our entire home to a house fire. These people strung us along for almost 8weeks. Saying in one breathe we were approved due to our insurance picking up the rental cost... mind you, we've lived in the same home for many many years under a MORTGAGE. Literally had us speaking to a different person EVERY SINGLE time we called to check the status on "our rental home" only to wait 6 weeks into this and DENY our application. Said that they go thru a third party company with application screening and that it could have just been a "typo" that got us denied! WHAT!? You deny people an ENTIRE rental over a typo? There is something weird about this company. I wouldn't trust a single word they say. NEVER would I recommend this place for anything other than someone to chat with DAILY because that is LITERALLY all they do... talk, talk, talk... NO ACTION.

They go in and help clean up homes in areas that most companies would stay out of. They do an outstanding job for what they are given to work with. Very happy.

This is flat out the worst company ive ever experienced in my life. Access to properties is impossible, customer service is non existent. Awful experience. Avoid!
The home was not move-in ready on the day of move-in which was scheduled 3 weeks out. MSR did not perform a walk-through to prepare the home for me. The home was filthy starting at the garage and extending to the back door. Dead roaches and small live roaches were noted in the home. Started to move and had to abandon the task due to all the bedroom carpets were covered with pet hair. Since I have an allergy to cats, I immediately experienced feeling of runny nose, itchy eyes, sneezing, and hives. I had to vacate the home to prevent breathing complications. Notified MSR of pet allergies and it took almost three weeks for someone to be assigned to finally clean the carpets to rid them of the pet hair, odor, and dander. The stains remain. You have 14 days to complete the move-in checklist. Thankfully, my daughter was able to complete this for me. Uploaded list with photos documenting all the filth. MSR sent out a technician to perform a "walk-through" two weeks after the initial move-in date. No cleaning was done. The house remained filthy. I was instructed to ask for a rental concession after the move-in was completed. Once the carpets were cleaned, I was able to move in. However, the rental concession was denied because the house was "habitable." MSFR does not look at the checklist or photos or consider health concerns due to filth and allergies from unclean home. I wish I had read all the reviews before using the company. I would not recommend MSR to my enemy. Included a few photos of some of the filthy areas.
Very friendly crews. Application registration monthly payments can be done with ease online. Whenever I had an issue they were quick to respond and professional and prompt to resolve the issue.

I have been dealing with this company since June of 2021 and it was alright at the beginning. Then, my boyfriend and I started to slightly fall behind on our rent (all of about 2 months worth). We had called in to try and set up payment arrangements so that we can get caught up and clear this balance. Their solution was to call and make a one time arrangement then to call again and make another arrangement. My boyfriend and I -having busy lives, working full time- forget to make another call and we suddenly get a notice from the company saying that we may be evicted and to contact them no later than a day that had already passed... Now we cant make any partial payments, we have to pay in full so that we do not get evicted.
My old complex that I lived in, let us make as many payments as we needed to catch up on our payments if we fell behind. But here, they give you a late notice that'll arrive late in the mail and immediately put you in an eviction status... Thanks so much, main street.

These people scammed me out of my security deposit - worst company ever! Don't rent from them!
They are also holding me accountable for my lease when plumbing issues erupted - They won't take my call or listen to an email message - WORST COMPANY!
Answer: Don't bother... waste of money for an overpriced house. Their customer service is terrible. They give you the run around and the techs they send out are not certified. Look like people the just find off the street and hire for a repair to do. My husband and I are currently looking for an attorney to get out of this lease. We've only been renting from them for 4 months and have had SOOO many problems with this house. Look else where.
Answer: Indeed! Integrity n honor is of no value with MSR! Hopefully they will re-evaluate their company and greed will not control them! No one has a clue of each other in the business system they run!
