So I ordered these parts for my car in December. My mechanic went out of town unexpectedly to mexico until after the new year. Diring that time i tested positive for covid christmas eve and was not able to go get them put on until i was clear of illness. As soon as i was i went on January 11 to have them installed. Its the wrong parts. So he got the correct parts from local and put them on because my wheel bearings were BAD and I couldn't wait. If it wasn't for getting covid we would of know. This a lot sooner and it would be fine. I order from yall always last summer i spent close to $1000. 00 for my other car. But i am 57 yr old single female and i cannot afford to be out 184.00. Please allow a return. Thank you so much
This was my email to them. I GOT COVID BEFORE MY MECHANIC GOT BACK IN TOWN. THAT IS BEYOND ANYONES CONTROL. THESE A$$HATS trying to keep my money. Nah. I'm a squeeky wheel. I'll keep on and on. I want my $$ and they just lost a good customer. Wish I didn't have to give a star at all
I called to order a timing chain and water pump set for a Chrysler Sebring. The young man I spoke to on the phone was very polite, and said don't buy that cheap Chinese crap, he said let me sell you a good American-made set. He said it is a bit more money, but it has a far better guarantee and is made of much better materials. I agreed, and I ordered the more expensive American made set. I had a customer car waiting for the parts and a customer that had to go on a trip. The parts came in, I looked at the boxes, and the Cloyes timing chain set was made in taiwan, and the Gates water pump in mainland china! Needless to say, both the customer and I were very upset. I had to put the pieces on the car because the customer had to leave town the next day. I tried to call partsgeekcom which is a joke, so I emailed them with my frustration and unhappiness with their lying, deceitful sales practices. They've sent me 11 garbage emails, because apparently their customer support is overseas and they do not understand simple plain English. All I have been asking for is the difference in what the man told me the price was, and that I paid, for the supposedly American-made parts, and the cheap chinese crap. I have received at least five emails asking me to send the parts back. I have explained at least five times that the parts are on the car, and the car is out of my shop. PartsGeek will never get one more Penny from me, and I will be certain that every one of my customers knows not to buy from this deceitful, lying company. I hope thousands of people read these reviews Tama and take them to heart. This is a terrible company, the worst that I have seen in over 40 years in the automobile repair business.
I ordered a radiator for a 90 model mighty max truck with a 3.0 liter engine recieved a radiator for a 2.4 engine witch did not look anything like the one in the picture on their web site i called customer service they told me i had to talk to Ramon and take pictures of the part i recieved and my old radiator he told me it was boxed wrong to send it back only to wait three weeks to credit my account and he asured me if i reorderd i would recieve the correct one so i reordered and recieved a radiator for a 2.4engine again calked customer service they was rude and hung up on me i called back only to get hung up on again had to take pictures again and send wrong radiator back and waited a month this time to credit my account... VERY BAD BUSSINESS AND CUSTOMER SERVICE IS TERRIBLE WILL NOT ORDER FROM THEM AGAIN
In Nov. 08 and before the begining of the holidays I ordered 5 items from parts geek including 2 full Struts-Springs assembly, 2 tie rods ends and an oxygen sensor, order# 15-*******, I paid $314,. But when they arrived they were in boxes that were torn apart, looks like they been returned before, installed and uninstalled, and the parts themselves look like they been refurbished, one tierod end has a hole in its boot, struts had some scratches. I called the company whom assured me these are not used parts but new, I sent them pictures for the parts along with the condition of the boxes they came in, they told me you can return them but it will take 7-14 days to get credit back then you have to reorder them again and wait another week to receive them. Thus I decided to take them to the mechanics whom su jested to get new tierod end from local store and install the struts since they have lifetime warranty as well as the parts geek company confirmed they are new and the minor scratches on the paint no big deal. Thus He throuw out one tie rod end, and got one from Auto zone, and paid him $360 for labor. Six months later the strut-spring assembly started making noises and got louder. Since the part has a life-time limited warranty, I called the company and spoke to the manger Dennis, I told him what the mechanic told me that the left hand side strut is defective and needs to be replaced indeed. He told me that I have to order a new one first and pay $119 paid shipping then return the old one where am responsible for return shipping fees, which according to the US mail is around $83 and via FedEx around $69. As well as I have to pay the mechanic $150 for labor, being the part not from outside and not from him.
Parts Geek refuses to send a new one without paying for new one 119 nor they would cover the shipping cost for the return nor the labor.
In the top of that, their customer service very bad, rude, conniving, anger, hostile, intimidating, bullying and treated me like crab. They would put you on hold then they hung up the phone. The worst experience ever. Very difficult to do business with and would not recommend it to anyone.
Sent me a clutch, ordered coil springs, keep jacking around, buyet beware, buy parts fom someone reputabl
They dont care if the parts dont make it to you what a scam.DO NOT BUY FROM THEM. IM SRISEDTHAT COMPANIES WITH THIS BAD OF CUSTOMER SERVICE EXSIST
For starters they are way more expensive than say Rock Auto. I noticed immediately and tried to cancel my order with Parts Geek and they legit DO NOT OFFER order cancelation. So my overpriced parts came and one of my quick strut boxes were in bad shape. I opened the box and it was a used part. 25 minutes in online chat with a Rep only to be told I would get an email with instructions on how to return my part. Now Parts Geek wont release the item as received so I cant even file for an RMA because they say it hasnt even been delivered. After 25 in chat uploading pics I recieved an email asking me to describe the problem and to send pics. The email server they use wouldnt allow a pic upload says file too large. Their free shipping on orders above 300.00 is a complete scam. You will have to register with a third party then get an email with a link that provides you with a download Rebate form. Then they claim you get 15.00 cash back and when you read thru you are unknowingly signing up for a subscription servivce. BAD ALL THE WAY AROUND AVOID AT ALL COSTTS
Partsgeek sells online only. This is their way of avoiding accountability. They basically hide behind their computer. And they sell to out of state consumers usually so as to create physical distance from all their customers to avoid personal encounters because they know full well that they are not acting in good faith and risk a $#*! whoopin if they encounter a pro active dude with a temper. They are very protective of their physical address so as to avoid actual physical confrontations. I offer my suggestions to avoid scammers like this. First, dont assume that just because a website pops up while you are shopping for that car part that it is a reputable company. Check for a phone number and then call it and pay attention to their responses when you ask for sales dept., ask about their return policy, refunds, name of mgr, or name of owner. They should have professional responses to all. This is where partsgeek miserably fails. The best thing you've got going for you is your credit card. Unfortunately for partsgeek they are a hostage to the very credit card that is their lifeblood. Credit cards, as a rule, do not hold their cardmembers responsible in cases of fraud or gross customer dissatisfation. The bank doesnt make this wellknown, but if you buy using your card, and you are treated like partsgeek treats people, then go through the simple process that the bank requires and start your bankcard refund process. It takes some time to write your reasons out and fill out their form and get them what they need. But they then will request some satisfaction from partsgeek which they wont get and you will then get credited for the sales amount. It takes a few weeks. I did this at my bank, compass, and they complied and issued my refund. I think most all bankcards have this policy. If not, change banks. Later, the bank goes after partsgeek for their reimbursement. Good luck to you, im sorry you got tangled up with these bad apples. Be diligent.
5 months later, no parts, no refund, no communication, no answers. They are total deadbeat thieves intentionally. One day very soon when convenient for me, I will come face to face with one of the Parts Geek thieves. I will be armed with backup and surveillance. Then I will beat the everloving S**T out of him/her.
I called and ordered koito headlight bulb part#W*******302 and they invoiced me for heliolite bulbs which have the same part number on website. So I called and email them and told them to cancel order because they were sending me the wrong headlight bulbs and they shipped me the wrong item anyway. I Called customer service to return wrong item and ways hung up on about 5 times because they knew i wanted to return the wrong item they sent me after just talking and emailing them not to ship wrong item, and they literately shipped it anyway. They will not refund you right away even if they are at fault and even if you refuse delivery. They will refund you after package returns back to warehouse and then you have to wait 7-14 business days to receive refund back to your account IF THEY CHOOSE TO ACTUALLY grant you your full refund. RUDE AND UNPROFESSIONAL SALE REPRESENTATIVES AND CUSTOMER SERVICE. You'll regret ordering from this unprofessional so called company. Spend a little more money for oem part with a reputable parts dealer like Advance auto parts which offer hassle free returns and you'll avoid being disappointed with a misleading, rude and unprofessional company like parts geek, Worst return policy.
Before IT WAS HORRIBLE BUT NOW IS WAY BETTER AND SO HELPFUL! I GOT ALL THE PARTS I NEEDED! I RECOMMEND TO BUY FROM PARTS GEEK 2021
Answer: Because they're unprofessional, unethical, communist fuckin jackasses!
Answer: Parts geek had the rudest and most infuriating customer service I've encountered ever.
Answer: You'll pay plenty for shipping and if they give you the wrong part, you'll pay to ship it back. It's in their terms. You pay shipping both ways, regardless of fault.
Answer: Because they are either crooks, or they have some nut in the warehouse grabbing whatever and sending it to you even if it's wrong wrong wrong!
