I had balt a camcorder on eBay then a few days later i went to my bank and i was told that my account had a $60.00 over draft it turnd out that PayPal had taking the cash out of my bank account in sted of my green dot card i called PayPal up and told them what had happened then i was told that the agent could send a re crest for the fee that the bank had charged me for the over draft but that would be like a lost calls basically
I never had any problems with paypal before unlike many people have reviewed below. Lucky me I guess :D But instead of giving a perfect 5 stars, I'm giving paypal 4 stars for some future updates :)
Kind of crappy that my GrubHub account was hacked and charges were authorized through PayPal due to a merchant agreement and when I tell them of the fraudulent charges they refuse to refund when someone ordered 3 different dinners from 3 different restaurants in California and had them set to deliver to 3 different addresses. I live in FL.
I love pay pal use it for my online purchases I got ripped off by a person and PayPal helped me get my money back love you guys. And there so sweet & respectful on the phone.
Try to dispute a deceptive charge you will meet with deaf ears. I tried a "free for new users" app which i quickly deleted when it wasn't what i needed. Well, a mere 3 days later i am charged via paypal $79.99. I dispute the charge and they totally side with the merchant. (Some anonymous sleazeball out of China). BEWARE! PAYPAL IS IN BED WITH FRAUDSTERS!
Pay Pal have let me down. I was overcharged for an item that was advertised ad $19 AUD but I was charged as $19 USD.
I have sent Pat Pal evidence of this and they are been conpletely irresponsible and they are trying to say that there is no error. I can not believe how negligent Pay Pal is been. I have added an image of my reciept and an image of the advertised item. It is advertised in AUD, although the price has changed from $19.80 AUD to $20.43 AUD
Somebody from Florida (I live in Michigan) logged into my account and spent $600. PayPal emailed me hours later saying an unrecognized user logged into my account and I should change my password. I reviewed my account and saw this person spent $600 of my money. After submitting a dispute, I spent an hour trying to get ahold of customer service with the end result being to just send them an email. They replied to me the next day saying there was no unauthorized use and "if I'm unhappy with my purchase I should take it up with the store."
Absolutely TERRIBLE customer service, your money is NOT safe, and you need to delete your account ASAP.
I, along with others, am the victim of a SCAM by which PayPal is used to obtain money. This operation is run out of China and you never get your purchase. I filed a claim with PayPal and provided them with more than ample documentation from the USPS and UPS documenting that my item was delivered to someone else. What was PayPal's response, CLAIM DENIED. I am not one to take a gut punch and have filed a fraud complaint with the Federal Trade Commission and the Attorney General, State of Oklahoma. If you experienced a similar situation, file a complaint because PayPal does not have your back. I no longer use PayPal and a 1 star rating is way to generous!
Absolute worst financial service! Locked my account and are holding my money for absolutely no reason! I currently use chime, but any service is better than the trash service provided by paypal!
I recently sent a payment to a friend via PayPal. I didn't realize there was another person with the same name which I sent the payment to. I contacted PayPal to get the money back only to see this was a fruitless effort, PayPal gave ZERO assistance and dismissed me. I will NEVER use PayPal to send money or for anything else again! Paypal intentionally holds your money so they can reap the benefits of interest! They have held my funds for 21DAYS! The invoice is for services rendered. If you have ANY OTHER OPTION use it

I went through their required process to link a bank account and then completed a few transfers of relatively small amounts to my bank account. Approximately one per week for a few weeks. Last week I completed a transfer as usual then a couple days later after receiving a payment for an item i sold i attempted to complete another transfer to my bank account, then for no reason paypal decided it would take extra time for that transaction because more information was needed. Why? I have no idea. I called them and spoke with customer service, after waiting for 40 minutes i finally got to speak with someone, they attempted to placate me and told me no additional information was needed., but that it can take up to 5 days to complete a transfer, (? Then why did a message pop up when i confirmed the transfer on their site?) the transaction remained in "pending" status for no known reason and now it finally shows completed but the funds still are not showing in my bank account. I sent a message to paypal through their site and the next day got an automated response containing useless information. They are a joke, their service is terrible and i am very unhappy and frustrated with them, they are con artists, i dont trust them at all.
Like always useless customer support when you just tell them you are useless and non helpful they try to lock your account temporary or suspended it and steal your money or refunds

I tried to buy a pool pump motor. The seller does not have a valid address so I can't get in touch With them. There was NO shipping info when I purchased the item. I took it to the resolution center and complained. PayPal resolved the issue in 3 days and said the seller PROVED to them that the item was delivered to me. 1st off it wasn't; 2nd, how did the seller prove to PayPal I received the item; 3rd, how did PayPal contact them if I can't, and I'm the buyer. I lost $52.00 to PayPal and the scammer (Samuel F. Norman). PayPal isn't worth the trouble. They won't even talk to me. Paypal is a POS!

I made a purchase thru paypal and had a problem with my order and the only contact person I had was the paypal person. When I got no where from that person I contacted Paypal and they told me they could do nothing. This Company should be shut down, PERIOD.
We sent a package to Johannesburg and the female received it but we still don't have the money she payed through PayPal and it's been 3 working days, can't even get hold of them, it says their numbers are unavailable, I don't recommend them, it's my first time using PayPal but my boyfriend has used it a lot previously, he said this situation has never happened before, throughout this situation we would not use it again, because they promised it to us after we show proof of the package sent.
Do not pay through PayPal if you can help it they take your money and you don't get the stuff you have ordered then they never contact you I had to report them to bbb and do a disput with my bank they took my money and sent me nothing almost 30 days they never answere there phone they steal your money
This company is a sham they offer buyer protection but in reality they make their money from the customer and will 99% of the time side with the seller. This may be why ebay stopped using them as a primary source. DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY I HAVE PRESENTLY BEGAN A COURT CASE AGAINST THEM
There must be a lot of... hats that use PayPal because I never have such problems with them. PayPal has done right by me for the most part even more so with eBay as I have had a few sellers on eBay try to sell me off brand garbage as name brand & PayPal backed me up 100% to see to it that I got my refund even when eBay failed. I make as many of my purchases threw them as possible because they do their best to make a fair review on anything shady & help keep my money safe. I am not saying I have never had problems with them, just none of the problems that most are claiming to have here. I give them 4 stars because there has been times when they didn't come threw for me when I was not in the wrong but nothing is foolproof or 100%.
I suggest that anyone looking for a good online option for payments check them out for yourselves & make your own opinions about them.
Never auto pay for anything! Never save payment information on your browsers! Never setup renewal to any site, service, or content that you do not trust. I never use or allow auto pay to anything. Perhaps that is why I do not have the problems others here claim to have had with them.

I bought an item that was totally wrong, advertised as "handmade, hand quilted, made of brushed Kona cotton", picture was beautiful with wonderful quilting and vibrant colors and I was buying from a company from Texas. I received an item from Texas, not handmade, not hand quilted, not vibrant colors, not brushed cotton and it was just a picture printed on cheap polyester/nylon fabric. Hideous. I paid $99.90. Company first offered to refund $30, nope, still way too expensive for a cheap quilt that I wouldn't even use for my pets. Then said if I return the "quilt" to China at my expense they would refund the money. Cost to return? $70. Paypal agreed with this company, denied my claim and I'm sitting here with something I would feel cheated if I paid $10. Paypal is not the company it once was. Use your credit card as that company will have your back. Looking to see what a better option is than Paypal. 20 year customer and I'm done. I do not think anyone actually reads our messages to Paypal.

Answer: USPS delievered it to the wrong address my pacakge was supposed to be delievered too 35710 Bay Morgan Ln, Fallbrook, CA 92028 when USPS delivered it to an address simillar to this one 12354 Alcatal Street (do not know the exact address since they did not email me, but you can call USPS and ask, and that is how I found out) Fallbrook, CA 92028, right city and zip code, far away address.
Answer: I'm thinking someone has to work there, if you send messages you will get a canned reply, I get the same response from 10 messages, basically "suck it up buttercup, you have just been played" but if you try to actually talk to a person good luck.
