I ordered a Browns Jersey off of the site for my Fiancé's birthday and paid their 6$ fee for 1-3day shipping. First of all it took 7 days to receive my package! Why I am I paying a shipping fee if it's taking the outside allotted time to be delivered? I tracked it on Fed Ex and it kept sending me notifications that it would be delivered on Wedneday and it didn't come until Saturday. So I'm unsure how the seller kept putting a fake date in tracking but it's very frustrating especially when it was supposed to arrive on Wednesday, which was my fiancé's birthday. When my package did arrive, I had no receipt, the package was the size of my hand and that was super concerning to me because I ordered him a men's Large Browns Jersey so how would it fit in a bag so small?! I opened it and the Jersey was a complete counterfeit! It was the wrong colors, was super wide and had the thinnest material. There was weird stiching on the back and the Nike tag it had was also fake with NO UPC NUMBER. Needless to say Poshmark allows fake product to be sold on their website and should not be trusted. As well as the sellers they allow on their website are obviously con artists. I will never order from Poshmark again and if you want actual branded products I would not order from here because you will get FAKE product sent to you!
This site is really hit and miss. If you get lucky enough to find an actual honest seller, the experience can be great.
I experienced both good and bad sellers over the holiday's. I had recently found the site this past November and decided to make some purchases. I bought 6 different items from 6 different sellers. Half of the items (3) came great, just as described and one lady even threw in an extra little gift. The other 3 were disappointments. I bought a pair of leggings with a cute holiday deer themed print. I know now why there was only one picture of the item folded up... that's because they were a flaw from the manufacturing... on one leg the deer print ran upside down. The seller never mentioned that in the description. The second item was supposed to be a women's size large mossy oak hoodie. It showed a black hoodie with a pink embroidered mossy oak logo. When I received the hoodie it was filthy. Dog hair all over it and it was wrinkled. It looked like someone pulled it out of the dirty clothes and sent it like that. I washed it several times before I attempted to wear it... only to then discover that it was a MAN's size large jersey hoodie that someone used their embroidery machine to put the pink mossy oak logo on. I'm swimming in it! The 3rd item was purchased and I never heard from the seller. The poshmark site did close the purchase for me, but it was very frustrating waiting for it to be sent, contacting the seller and not hearing from them. I think some sellers are very absent and may have even stopped selling but just didn't bother closing their account. I don't know.
Overall it's just a really hit and miss site. I've never been able to 'bundle' any items because a lot of the sellers don't really sell 'their' personal items. So they will have a size large blouse, but when you go to see what other size large items they have so you can 'bundle' and save on shipping... you wont find ANYTHING else in their closet that would fit you. I think a lot of them buy yard sale or second hand store items at random and then try and sell them for nearly new prices. So Buyer beware.
I would suggest that you all use The Real Real instead of Poshmark! The return process is horrible with Poshmark! Buyers Beware :(
Tried to call to get info on my order not shouting up and no tracking info for 3 days. Can't get any help
First time user, was excited, very very poor quality of clothing. After receiving dress you could clearly tell it was defected.
Very disappointed!
STAY AWAY what a joke! Ordered earrings, never got them, cant waste my time on chasing $13 but never again!
Once upon a time I fully LOVED this app until... so the other day there was a bullying posher that harassed posher after posher for what they chose to price their items as and accused some of them for selling counterfeit items when she herself was selling FAKE LV BAGS! I tried to educate her and defend the other poshers when things went left. I reported her to posh and sent them an email advising them of her harassment. Thankfully she was DELETED by posh. But why DID I GET DELETED TOO? Posh sends an email saying I was harassing as well when I Wasn't! They decided to delete my account for backing them in their policies and standing up to a bully when nobody else WOULD! I had many sales and provided excellent service to my poshers each and every time! I'm disappointed in their service to delete a reputable posher. Not only that but another posher JUMPED IN and terrorized my sister! Her account is still up and she sells fake bags and used bras! My sister was deleted also. WHAT A JOKE! I WILL NEVER RECOMMEND ANYONE ELSE TO USE THIS APP EVER!
The sellers are often teenagers and the products are not verified nor are they quality controlled. This is not a safe arena to use your money.
I was sold an counterfeit item and when I contacted customer service they did nothing about it and refused to allow me to return the item
I placed an order with the seller dogdaypixie through poshmark for a vi tage dooney and bouke bag. Upon receiving the bag the top hamdles hand been folded on top of the bag by the seller and wrapped in plastic and tissue paper tied with string and shipped in a priority mail box! When i opened the psvkage the handles are permanently bent and unable to straightened. They are also forced to once side when theyre resting on the sides of the bag. I immediately filed a complaint through poshmark with the seller ince i discovered this. I got absolutely no feedback from poshmark admin until they notified me the next morning stating theh found no fault with the seller! This is a scam site/application and with this kind of customer service i will not order from them again... i have ordered vintage bags from other sites and never had any issues because the items were packaged appropriately by the other sellers and arrived in the condition that they appeared on their listings! Apparently for Poshmark and this particular seller... this was about their sale rather than doing right by the customer! I have filled a complaint with the better business bureau as well against them! BUYER BEWARE!
I'm not thrilled to shop on any e-commerce website that does not provide phone support (or at least real-time online chat). Poshmark has a "contact us" via email and the user can expect to wait approximately 2 days for a response.
There are a few Poshmark sellers claiming that replica Hermes, Louis Vuitton, and Dior bags are authentic but are NOT. I purchased a LV bag that was noted as being "authentic", and in great condition. The images used in the Poshmark listing made the bag appear to be in amazing condition. Turns out, the images were swiped from the luxury bag reseller, Fashionphile, and the bag in their images was in excellent condition...the bag from Poshmark was in poor to average condition (well worn, scratched, w deep red staining all over the interior), and I seriously question the authenticity of the bag itself.
So, time was spent taking pics of the bag, uploading, being asked by PM to take MORE pics of the bag, uploading, waiting for a response... and finally getting the OK to return the bag to the seller. Buyers are forced to PROVE why a bag is in bad condition or inauthentic and who has time for all that?! Not sure when the refund will be processed.
Sellers shouldn't be allowed to misrepresent luxury bags and they definitely shouldn't be allowed to use other websites' images of authentic, excellent-condition bags (and pass off their own sketchy bag as the excellent-condition bag).
But this type of thing can't (probably won't ever be) monitored as it should be when customer support at Poshmark is not as hands-on as users would like. It appears that Poshmark takes the word of the seller that a bag is in good condition or "authentic" and that translates into buyers getting duped (and having to jump through hoops to get the authorization to return the bag).
I've purchased a few newborn baby clothes on Poshmark and overall had good experiences but buying luxury handbags is a whole different story! I see Sitejabber has an alert banner, noting that Poshmark has a more than typical amount of negative reviews and may be considered to be a SCAM. I wouldn't go that far. Poshmark is eBay-esque without the customer service Live and learn!
I will never sell anything on Poshmark again. Very rude buyers. I will take to my local consignment shop from now on.
I saw a pic of a pair of boots and when I got them they are worn out! This is nothing more than a scam I wouldn't give these boots away!
I've lowered my rating of Poshmark after having an odd experience on the site. I had removed all of the for-sale items in my "closet" because I was, temporarily, too too busy to follow up on bids and sales. So my closet showed only sold items. But many weeks later I received an offer on an item I had removed. Odd. I think it slipped through because it was a second bid, from someone who had previously submitted a low offer and had been rejected. So that is a flaw in the Poshmark programming, and that is my first complaint. I still had the item so I accepted the offer, and then I got a surprise and this leads to my second complaint. The item was a handbag from a Big Name designer brand, and the purchaser was the manufacturer! The "buyer" was identified as a woman's name, but the address was the office for the brand. So perhaps the manufacturer is buying up their stock on the resale market? What bothers me about this sale is that I found this out only after accepting the bid. It makes me feel that I have been snookered, somehow. It seems wrong that a company can hide behind an essentially anonymous buyer while snapping up their merchandise across the Web. And then the "buyer" did not give me any stars for the sale, so that messes up my average rating of full marks. This got me thinking about the flaws in the Poshmark structure. It's not balanced in favor of the sellers. Sellers are not allowed to rate buyers, even though buyers cause a lot of problems (based on the many complaints I have read). And I have never been comfortable with sending items to stranger with my return address on the package. So I am no longer a fan of this site.
I've sold many items on Poshmark, and I have full marks as a seller. I package my items carefully, include extra gifts, and sell only the best quality goods. The reason I don't give full marks for the site are, first, they don't filter out the junk many people post on the site. I see listing for the strangest stuff (used bra, anyone?). Second, there are obvious resellers who comb the site and follow other sellers. They'll "like" your listings and follow you, and I get the feeling they are gaming the system. I've never had a problem with anyone returning an item, but I have had low-ball offers that are just insulting, and that can be frustrating. Overall, I'd say this is a fine place to sell things like new or lightly used handbags and new-in-box shoes. Other items are slower to move.
I uploaded six listings people just wanted to add me as a friend Im here to sell things i have friends the site is a glorified Facebook.
Looks like many people have had problems and the government needs to stop this company to falsely sell knockoffs bags and items.
People just sell dirty old crap that should be digarded with the weekly waste pick up. No guidelines like the real real.
Purchased an item that I cannot use. I'm not out $30 and Poshmark won't accept a return. Won't use Poshmark again.
No merchandise after 14 days, customer service has no idea why! The seller never after 4 messages never responded.
Answer: You've got to be smart about shopping online these days. There are scammers wherever you go. That said, if you follow the guidelines and steer clear from trading, which most sites don't condone, then you'll be fine. I've purchased over 100+ items on poshmark and have sold over 90+ with complete success, with the exception of the one time I decided to trade... I've purchased low prices items before and received junk a couple times, but Poshmark ALWAYS refunded me! Maybe I'm super savvy, so here's what I always do: 1. Always checkout the seller's reviews. 2. Always ask if there are any flaws with used items. 3. Always ask if sizing is TTS: "true to size" 4. And most importantly, always ask if it's authentic (unless otherwise specified in the description) These 4 questions have always led me to receiving exactly what I wanted and at half the retail price! Plus, it's so much fun! I've made a considerable amount of income from it, while also adding a nice set of items to my own closet! Good luck out there!
Answer: I have received every item I have ever bought on poshmark. It arrived on time and was in the exact condtion as was promised and how it appeared in the pics.
Answer: Well yes she received the boots and probably didnt like them or they didnt fit etc. she is trying to get her money back by trying to re sell them for 70.00 however she would only get 56.00
Answer: It took a long time, but today Poshmark said they refunded the entire purchase amount plus shipping because the booties I ordered were misrepresented. It took About a month and a half. Two times they offered me small credits toward another Poshmark purchase. I filed a very well documented (12 pages of emails, screen shots of the ad and screen shots of dialogue between me and the seller, Kimology) fraud claim with my credit card company, and I emailed Poshmark's customer service to advise them. Two days later they told me they were refunding my money. We'll see if that happens. Poshmark's customer service is terrible, but persistence paid off. Best of luck to you!
Answer: Ask probing questions: non-smoker? Ever been dry cleaned? How worn is it? Cats? Etc
Answer: I have the total opposite reaction to this question. This mystery group that decides what the outcome will be is ridiculous. You can't talk to anyone, and my last attempt to get support through emails, took one month! Not a fan of learning who the good sellers are by trial and error...
Answer: She probably stalked the other seller's listing and found you commented on the item you purchased. So technically, yes they can see what you buy as long as you commented something on the purchased listing.
Answer: Be careful on posh because they do not have your back. There is a lot of scandalous people on posh. Be careful on ebay as well. I bought a Michael Kors set on ebay that was listed as excellent condition but it was stained and reeked of cigarette smoke. Ebay did not refund my money. They said since it wasn't listed as brand new with tags I was screwed. I was out $315. Who wants a handbag and wallet that smells like shit? I think twice before buying on Ebay since that experience. Shame on the dishonest seller and Ebay for allowing that behavior. Good Luck!
Answer: Have you sent an email to Poshmark support? I have before and they did respond
Answer: You unfortunately cannot return an item if it doesn't fit. It's best to ask the seller the measurements of the item, if they tell you the wrong measurements you can return it. If they will not give you the measurements then don't buy from them. I'm new to selling on Poshmark and I will allow people to return their items if they don't fit because I believe that's what's right, you will find other good sellers!
