These guys are a joke. Can't call. Chat folks have no clue. They refused to honor my request to cancel. They have had all my info for a month. All I need is a sim kit. What a bunch of crooks. Bet they are billing the government with no prob!

Horrible

I've called at least six times because my 5g lte doesn't work at all. I have to use my neighbors wifi for anything data and internet related and that still doesn't guarantee it'll work as advertised. Horrible customer service! They all say the same troubleshooting steps even though I tell them right off the start that I've tried all the steps and it doesn't fix the continuous problem. All the customer service agents ignore what I say and 30 minutes later they tell me they can't do anything and it never gets resolved ever! Plus I barely can understand the agents which is frustrating especially because they ignore me like I'm an idiot

Do not use
February 6, 2023

Spent 3 weeks trying to switch over with my same number. Sente 3 Sims cards after the first 2 didn't work after they told me to cancel my other service I did then they told me it had to be active to switch. Then said I would have to contact the previous carrier to unlock the phone, so I can't use my old number now that I've had for years. So I said I would take a new number had a brand new phone in a box never opened and the person told me I had to cancel my service with that phone, how it was never used before. Not very helpful at all made me loose my phone number and the technician did not even listen or make any logical sense to the situation so now I have 2 phones and no number

Ripped off
October 7, 2019

I bought an unlimited data bundle for $35 on September 27. Three days later it stopped working. I called qlink who told me all data bundles have Capps. If that's true why is it called unlimited and where's the fine print.
Had to open a dispute with my credit card company.

I've had qlink for several years and am overall satisfied with the service... but I highly recommend you bring your own device and DO NOT get sucked into the "free tablet" that isn't free. You'll get charged $10.01 for a tiny hunk of junk. The processor is so unbelievably slow I'm not exaggerating when I say it takes 3 to 5 seconds for it to respond after touching a function. Don't waste your time. Their phones aren't much better... way better than the tablet and I won't say much more about the phones because it's free and it at least works. Just don't expect anything fancy.

Horrible

I ordered a replacement phone
December 13,2019 it is January 1,2020 and I have yet to receive my phone. I work extremely hard for my money I don't care if it's only $25 it's my hard earned money and this government funded company took my $25 and haven't delivered my product. Another way for the government to rip off low income Americans

As I said it works great unless I'm at home. Signal sucks I can't get messages or calls at my house. It's insane that my daughters school had to email me that she had broken her wrist in PE last year because she couldn't call. So my daughter was at school for 2 and a half hours hurting with a broken wrist scared and bawling her eyes out because my phone doesn't get signal. Works great in town but I'm a stay at home mom and it's bs I have to reached by email because my phone can't receive a call.

P.s. Value is only a 5 star because it's a free service!

Infuriating
June 4, 2020

I called the number seven times to try and get help for my dad with his phone. It is absolutely infuriating that it is 100% impossible to link to a live customer service agent. This is one of the worst companies out there for customer service! And yes of course we filled out the online form to get help but we don't expect to hear back from them for 3 to 5 days, which is too late. Horrible horrible horrible customer service!

This is absolutely the worst phone I have ever had! The apps are constantly freezing and the sound quality on calls is horrible. This is the second phone I've had of this brand from qlink. The first one I had only worked for 2 weeks before it started overheating and eventually after a few weeks would not charge anymore. My second phone is lasting a little longer but I am hardly able to use it because all of the apps are giving me error messages that they are not responding. This phone is a waste of money.

I don't recommend

I had a phone with another company for two years. I simply transferred my service to Qlink and they say I don't qualify when I definitely do qualify. Representatives are very difficult for me to understand because of their heavy accents.

They disconnected my service permanently for no reason with no notice or legal reason as to why!
Q Link is still collecting my life line credit.
Refuses to port my number.
I'm very upset with this company--taking legal action.

Worthless phones
August 24, 2020

This is my 3rd phone. Sorry to say but these phones are garbage. I recieved this in May an it's a total waste. They charge $ 70.00 for this phone it's such a RIP the phone constantly shuts off slow as hell cant get it to load anything when it is on and if you're on a call it disconnects you and is also very muffled. Every phone I've had has been the same. They said, this would be a great phone it's called the "Chili Pepper" trust me it sucks. I keep calling to cancel my service but you cant get any English speaking people so theres no resolve to this issue. They are just ripping off the government. So disappointing!

I had lost my phone and they refuse to send me a replacement. They also sent the free Tablet to an address that I no longer lived at and won't send it to my new one. They are suppose to be a government phone service but they tell me that they don't offer free phones anymore which is a lie. I had another government phone company before and when my phone was lost/stolen that company sent me a replacement before. Their customer service is very lacking and each person they have is very rude and likes to talk over you when you call. They government needs to take away their contract for the free phone service because this company is not following the contract rules and regulations of the service.

Best phone service

Always been dependable and convenient. Any time I've had to contact customer service for anything I get helpful and knowledgeable operators. Who are professional and polite. I've had several different service providers over the years and by far the best is Qlink link wireless.

I had QLink one week. I tried to call out and it wouldn't go thru. Same for receiving calls, goes straight to voice mail. Tech support told me they have many customers with same issue and that I can wait til next month to try to do a system update or buy a phone from them and they'll activate it now for service. WHAT? I'm caught between a rock and a hard place cause I'm broke!

They got me, too! Wish I had seen the reviews before purchasing a phone from them. I thought that they truly were government sponsored phone service as they SEEMED to be?! They even were able to transfer my telephone number from a previous carrier; however, when I call all the customer support numbers, it defaults to T-Mobile and they don't know what I'm talking about!

Would appear to be a SCAM big-time!

The phone is terrible. This is the second one I've had and I have not installed anything and it says my memory is gone.it crashes frequently. I only use it as a phone now and don't even try to access anything else. Even the messages take a long time to get to their destination.

I would not recommend Qlink to anyone period. My account stated I would have unlimited talk, text, and data. All lies. My phone stopped being able to receive or make calls after the 2nd day. Reason being they said I went over my 1000 minutes of talk. The data went out after a half day of service. And they said I went over that amount as well. Min you this whole time my account is stating I have unlimited talk, text, and data. The rep stated it was a change the company had just made and the only options were to pay for more minutes or wait until the next month. Mind you this is only 3 days in. I wasn't mad at him he was cool. But the company sucks. How do you keep sending people messages to people telling them to activate their sim card they have unlimited this and that and then cut them off after 2 days. I wish I give them zero stars. Worst company ever. Only use them if you are completely and desperately in need of phone.

This is a wonderful way to get cell phone service when you can't afford the big name service carriers. Or if you're on a fixed income this is a great way to have a cellphone and stay connected with your friends and family, or god fore-bid you have an emergency!

Sometimes I can't make an outbound call with my cell. I gave 4 stars because I'm not sure what the problem is. When I make a call I can hear the person on the other end but they can't hear me. This has been happening a lot but not lately.
