While purchasing tickets for Cabaret on Broadway, I accidentally purchased tics for the wrong date (had 2 windows open!). I immediately realized my mistake, found a customer service phone number and called. I explained what happened to 'Kate', and was told that it may be possible to exchange tickets for the date I actually wanted. About 4 hours later I received a call back with a confirmation that the exchange had gone through and that my new tics were available on the app. I know that SeatGeek policy is that all purchases are final, but because these tics were a few months out they were able to assist. I appreciated the customer service.
I purchased tickets from Seat Geek to Sabrina Carpenter two months prior to the show. I received the tickets via email and added them to my Ticketmaster account. Three hours prior to the concert I got a notification from Ticketmaster that the tickets were invalid. Seat Geek customer service was useless and we were unable to attend the show. I've now spent 18 days communicating with seat geek via email and phone in which I'm continually told their team is working on it. I'm out over $700 and this company has made no attempts to refund me despite their buyer guarantee. Horribly incompetent customer service, would never trust to buy from them again.
After paying for tickets on 12/14 but not receiving the tickets less than 24 hours before our event, I was terrified to read all of the negative reviews here.
The tickets came this morning on the seat geek app and worked fine for admission to the event. All worked out fine.

The process was very smooth and easy. Everything was to me within a half hour and that's great. The emails you receive after you make the purchase to tell you that your tickets are on their way is very helpful.

I had no problems navigating through the system and bought my tickets with ease. It was quick and relatively painless to use. The tickets were promptly sent to my phone where I was able to view them in digital form.

After giving my name, credit card info and address I could not complete my $2300. 00 ticket purchase. I called the 800 number as requested. They requested a scan of my drivers license. I requested they go out of business.

Hi Jonathan,
It sounds like you encountered one of our vendor's fraud prevention processes. I'm so sorry for the frustrating experience. There are a few things that can flag a purchase for potential fraud, in which case the vendor will request verification of the buyer's identity. For example, if the total of your order was over a certain threshold or the location of your event did not match your billing address, your purchase may have been flagged. We recognize that sending a photo or scan of your ID is an outdated verification system and is very frustrating for customers, so we have been pressuring all our vendors to update their processes. Unfortunately, not every vendor has complied yet. Your feedback helps us to continue advocating for more customer-friendly policies, so thank you for sharing your experience.
The app makes it easy to buy which is great. However the cost of the fees is absolutely ridiculous and makes me not want to buy tickets on sites like these. The fee charges cost almost the same as a ticket!

There were 3 seats available in a section and I just wanted 2. Why could I buy either 1 or 3 seats?
To print my e-tickets, I need to download the App and I really don't want their damn app. How else can I print or display my tickets?

Hey Alan, thanks for sharing your feedback! You've got two issues here that we want to address, so we're going to take them one at a time.
When it comes to why you couldn't buy just two tickets: When sellers list tickets with us, they have options to turn on different "split" settings, meaning rules around how a group of tickets may be split. In general, sellers really want to avoid getting stuck with a single hard-to-sell ticket, so it's important to them to have rules that prevent this from happening. When a seller has three tickets listed for sale as in your example, they may set up a rule that will not allow two tickets to be sold from that group, since that would leave them with just one ticket left. If you're looking for a two tickets, we recommend setting the Quantity into your search from the event page - that way, any tickets that can not be sold in a group of two will not be displayed and you can find the very best deal for the number of tickets you want.
Looking at your tickets, it looks like they don't need printing at all! The venue in this case is totally cleared for mobile entry. You can just open your tickets on SeatGeek.com using your mobile browser, and the site will show you some QR codes that you can use to get into the event. If you're having difficulty accessing those codes, please don't hesitate to reach out to us and we'll gladly help you get set up for the game!

I purchased 5 tickets for DC United on Wednesday night for high school seniors. They were extremely excited at getting the tickets and attending the game. When they got to the game, they were not able to sit in the seats they purchased - they were told it was "open seating", not anywhere was that mentioned. They had to find seats many rows higher - the steward would not honor their paid tickets or ask the people sitting in their paid seats to move. Is there anything that can be done about this?

I requested a refund due to Covid 19, plus I lost my job, and the event, Roger Waters, is not planed for another year or more and had been postoned, you people don't realize that this is not a normal situation of circumstances and your normal policy is no refunds, all sales are final, you should do the right thing considering these unprecedented times and give refunds to people who request them. I am out $620.60 that I can not afford right now, and to hold on and wait for a concert that is going to maybe happen in a year and a half, when I am trying to pay my mortgage and bills with no income. MARK MY WORDS, I will never use your business again and I will tell everyone forever what you did to me during the Covid 19 outbreak, and I meet a lot of people in my business that I have owned for 30 years. P.S. I am posting this on every review site out there for as long as it takes!

Hi Michael,
Thank you for your feedback. Our buyer guarantee ensures that customers will be able to get a refund if their event has been cancelled. If an event is rescheduled customers may use their tickets for the new date or re-sell them to recoup their funds.
In this instance, the event this customer purchased tickets for has only been postponed, with a reschedule date TBD. If the venue does cancel the event completely, the customer will be able to contacted about her refund options.
Venues are still making determinations as to whether to cancel or reschedule their events, and we will uphold our buyer guarantee once we have final confirmation of their decision.
Best,
CX Team at SeatGeek
If I can give them a zero I would. Worse company by far, worse customer service everything. They take for ever to help you and don't even help you fully. I was told I would receive a call back to talk to a supervisor or get help 10 times and no one ever called back. I had to call them back! They cause problems and don't take accountability for it nor try to accommodate you because of what they did. I do not even know how the company is still running! The BBB revoked their accredited and they had every right and reason too!
Tip for consumers:
Try to buy tickets as a birthday gift, ran into an issue. They waited so long to help me the tickets price went higher. Then I was suppose to get a call back to speak to a supervisor like 10x no one called back. When I finally spoke to a supervisor he was rude and basically said he can’t help me even though his agents caused this whole messed. Talked to another supervisor and said the same thing. How do you lack customer service so bad.

Despite what they say when you buy a ticket there are no "cash" refunds. They will only give you a credit and that credit can only be used once. If you buy a ticket for something less expensive then you forfeit the rest you already paid. AND you only get a year to use it. Not what they lead you to believe.

I frequently search for tickets and have bought tickets for multiple games and the process has been extremely easy. Within minutes the tickets are emailed to me and have never had a problem for any game. Will continue to use this site!

Great app. I always use to get my tickets. I have been using this app for a years, I couldnt be happier about it. Its easy to use, and you get your tickets on your app, you can print it at home if you want but I personally get to my events using the app

Found great seats for our event at half the price. The tickets were delivered by email, but only 1 of our 3 seats were printable. Had to dig under "my tickets" to find the full pdf with all 3 tickets to print.

Love this app! Easy to search, awesome deal ratings, and lower fees! I won't buy tickets anywhere else anymore. I love that I can search by best deal or best seat, and the fees are lower than other sites. Quick delivery too.

I ordered tickets and they were delivered electronically in the time frame described at the time of purchase. Hopefully there will be no problems in using the tickets to gain access to the event once we arrive.

We bought four tickets to a soccer game. They were being transferred from Ticketmaster. Then we had to sign up for the soccer teams site. I did all this twice and it would not ever go any further to show the tickets with barcodes. We ended up having to go to ticket window and wait for them to investigate then print tickets for us. A man next to us was having the issue. We buy tickets for numerous sporting events and concerts. Some first hand some from resellers. Never have we had this kind of problem. It was very frustrating!

I wish I can give them zero stars
I purchased 2 tickets on their website. They send me tickets on different dates
When I contacted them to correct the error, they told me I need to sell the tickets on my own.
They scam you with the wrong ticket, and they tell you it is final go sell it.
I wanted to have a pleasant experience watching a funny play, but ended up scammed frustrated a ripped of $442.96.

I needed one more ticket to WS for my son and found one on the day of the game. But when I purchased it, I waited for an hour without confirmation. Then was told that the ticket was no longer available at that price and had to pay $50 more. Same thing happened with the parking lot ticket. It jumped from $98.50 to over $125. I had to pay twice for the parking and did not get a reimbursement for the $98.50.

Across the board fees, no matter what the ticket price is, suck. I have to get the cheapest tickets I can find, only to be pay a 25% fee. I can see paying a bit more for a more expensive ticket, but thats pricey.

Hey Travis, thanks for sharing your feedback! We'd be happy to look into this with you.
Looking at your order, it looks like you spent around $94 in all on your tickets. SeatGeek, like most marketplaces for the secondary market, uses percentage-based fees. That fee is typically around 20% per transaction (that's not split with some on the buyer side and some on the seller side - one transaction, one transaction fee!), but varies a bit from one seller to the next - in this case, it was around 16-17%. This is a pretty normal amount for the secondary market, even a little low, and it's what we need to charge to be able to cover the cost of our services, our people, and everything that we need to provide what we think is the top ticketing experience out there.
I hope this helps clear up your experience and gives you an idea of what to expect in the future! If you have any more questions or concerns on this, please feel free to give us an email or a call and we'll be happy to help.

Simple process and ease of use.
We took a party of 10 to the game and we loved it.
It would be great to have the MLB teams honor the tickets to have an upgrade if the ticket holder wishes too but they dont.

They don't deserve a one star rating, but That's the lowest available. Brought tickets in 2019 for a concert in 2020, postponed due to Covid-19 and in 2021 receive confirmation for tickets to a different concert in 2023! Customer service they don't have. The attorney's general of my state wrote two letters which were not answered.

This place took my money, i order tickets for the john legend concert and never received any information, but notice on my bank statement that the tickets was taken out of my account, i called the number online and was told that it was just a pre-authorization and the money would go back into my account. Well it didn't the money was taken out, i called seat geek and was told they got confirmation from the seller that i received the email with the tickets, i never did. They will not refund me my money and i am not out $284.00 and never got to see john legend..

Hi Suzanne, thanks for writing in about this. Any time an order is placed, the payment processor will place an authorization hold on the form of payment to ensure the funds are available for the card to be charged successfully should the order be confirmed. In this case, it sounds as though two order attempts might have come through, one of which unsuccessful, and one of which successful. We definitely want to look into this with more detail so we can ensure you were given the correct information. Please email us at hi@seatgeek.com so we can look into this for you! Thank you.
The tickets were not given until last minute for a festival. The tickets are for a vip wristband for a festival. While other companies sent them two weeks in advance. They made me miss the festival and flights.

It is very hard to transfer tickets to another person as I have tried 3 times so far and still am not able to send my tickets to my spouse. Ridiculous. I will not go on line to buy tickets anymore. I have not had this problem before.

Purchased Maryland versus Indiana tickets on SeatGeek. Paid a premium for pretty good seats. The next day the official Maryland basketball ticket site opened and, had I waited, couldn't purchased better tickets for less. Nonetheless, satisfied then I was able to get to seeds through SeatGeek and not be concerned about securing tickets for this game.
