While purchasing tickets for Cabaret on Broadway, I accidentally purchased tics for the wrong date (had 2 windows open!). I immediately realized my mistake, found a customer service phone number and called. I explained what happened to 'Kate', and was told that it may be possible to exchange tickets for the date I actually wanted. About 4 hours later I received a call back with a confirmation that the exchange had gone through and that my new tics were available on the app. I know that SeatGeek policy is that all purchases are final, but because these tics were a few months out they were able to assist. I appreciated the customer service.
I purchased tickets from Seat Geek to Sabrina Carpenter two months prior to the show. I received the tickets via email and added them to my Ticketmaster account. Three hours prior to the concert I got a notification from Ticketmaster that the tickets were invalid. Seat Geek customer service was useless and we were unable to attend the show. I've now spent 18 days communicating with seat geek via email and phone in which I'm continually told their team is working on it. I'm out over $700 and this company has made no attempts to refund me despite their buyer guarantee. Horribly incompetent customer service, would never trust to buy from them again.
My favorite part of SeatGeek other than the ease of buying and selling tickets is that I have the option to display prices with the fees included, so there's no shock at checkout. It is the reason I use and recommend SeatGeek over other ticketing apps.

I love the dealscore feature but don't like that you can't see the actual seat number. I was trying to buy a ticket close to a friend who was attending the same game. Ended up with a seat on the same row but not next to them.

The process was very quick and very easy. I bought my tickets and shortly after, discovered I wouldnt be able to attend the event so I posted them to sell. 30 minutes before the event started, my tickets sold and I was given my money back in about 5 business days.

I am based in Europe and I was planning to go to the US for an event. I booked my tickets through SeatGeek however the event was rescheduled. Therefore I am no longer able to attend. I would normally expect to get a refund however, the customer service asked me to sell my tickets through SeatGeek which by default is unacceptable!
I had no other option to get my money back so I decided to do so. To my surprise, the SeatGeek systems require US mobile number in order to work and sell my tickets. Without a US mobile number, you cannot sell your tickets!
When I contacted customer service about it, instead of issuing a refund, I was told to search on google for an alternative platform to sell my tickets...
If SeatGeek cannot support customers without US numbers, they should not be selling tickets outside the US.
Bottom line is that if you do not have a US phone number, you should not be booking through SeatGeek!

I purchased 2 tickets to attend a Tampa Bay Rays vs New York Yankees game in St. Petersburg. The day before the game I got an email from SeatGeek stating that the tickets were no longer available and that they would refund my money. I then went back on SeatGeek to purchase new tickets and I saw that the original tickets I had purchased were not only still available but at a higher price. Therefore, SeatGeek lied in saying the tickets were no longer available and instead had them listed as available at a higher price. SeatGeek did not honour the price agreed to when I made my purchase and instead cancelled my purchase and made the tickets I had already purchased and paid for available to others at a higher price. This is completely ridiculous and unacceptable and beyond the realm of terrible customer service. Use SeatGeek at your own risk.

The seat purchase was fine, but obtaining the actual digital copy of the ticket was a disaster since I had to work through the ticketmaster Monumental Sports portal. The ticketmaster email system didn't work on my phone and even though I arrived to the venue 30 minutes before the game I didn't get to my seat until 20 minutes past the start of the game.

Hey Michael, thanks for letting us know. We're fully aware that Ticketmaster's mobile transfer system is less than ideal and not very fan-friendly, so we're hoping that teams in the future will start to realize this and open up how they allow their tickets to be sold and transferred. In the meantime, SeatGeek still wants to be able to provide tickets to fans, but we do have to stay within venue and team guidelines that require their tickets be sent this way.
We definitely recommend bringing up your frustrations directly with the team, as that may have an affect an how they decide to do their ticketing for future seasons. For now, we again are super sorry for the trouble.

Have used the site previously and had good results. Not anymore. Purchased tickets for a concert, but the next day SeatGeek decided they weren't making enough money so they canceled/refunded the tickets and said if we wanted them we would have to pay 325% more. They responded to customer service emails with only generic cut and paste responses. They have awful service and I wouldn't even consider using them again.

Stat away.

I purchased 2 tickets and a parking pass for a Pistons BB game and then COVID hit and everything was being cancelled. I contacted Seat Greek about refunds and was informed that if the event is totally cancelled and not rescheduled to later in the season, they refund back to the card the tickets and parking pass were purchased on. That was in March of 2020. It is now October 2021 and there has been no refund back to my VISA card. I will not use this site again, very disappointing.

I've bought tickets before and they were emailed within minutes. Then I bought tickets that were suppose to be directly emailed to me a few days ago and I still havent recieved them and I'm not sure why.

We purchased tickets to the Drake concert at Madsion Square Garden. When we arrived and the tickets were scanned we were told that they were invalid. Seat Geek did say they will refund the money but that's not what it's about. They never should have allowed the tickets to be posted. It's their job to make sure this doesn't happen! They failed. DO NOT USE THE SITE.

Howard, we are so sorry for your negative experience. I assure you we do have safeguards in place and the security of our customers are of the upmost priority. We'd love to make this right with you. Please contact us again and we can dive in.
I buy 2 tickets to LA vs SF on 9/30. I get a call from Seatgeek explaining that my tickets were no longer available. Would I want them to find me other tickets or do I want a full refund plus 20% added to my PayPal acct. They explained that the PayPal account would be refunded in 7 to 10 working days and the seat geek refund would be 3 to 5 working days. I recieved the PayPal refund in 4 days. No refund on my seatgeek. I call for an explanation. I am told that they processed the refund but that my bank returned the money. They never notify me nor do they process the refund again they said their refund was returned to their account. Then they say it will take another three to five working days for me to get my money. So I will just sit here and wait. Guess I will just have to call my bank to get my money back

But the tickets and maybe they will come. I canceled my day at work to attend a game and the day of the game after I contacted them it was oh, yup can't go after all. Yea they will refund my money but hell I lost a day at work!

Very easy to use. Only helpful feature would be to add seatview. Particularly to concert. We had partially obstructed view and hard to understand what that entailed
And Good work sponsoring the ringer. Love the podcasts and why I use this app

I got ripped off! I ordered 4 tickets to an event. Got to th venue and found out tickets were $30 after Seatgeek charged me $35 PLUS 16.50 per ticket. Then the ticket link DID NOT work so I missed the event and now Seatgeek is giving me the run around instead of a REFUND! I'll NEVER purchase from them again and advise others not to! Biggest legal SCAM EVER!

I purchased tickets to a concert after reading all the horrible reviews. Overall my experience was good I got my tickets almost immediately after I got the confirmation email and I was able to get in with no problems. But unfortunately I probably won't purchase from SeatGeek again because I had to much anxiety leading up to the concert. I was really concerned that I wasn't going to get in. In the future I will just purchase tickets from the original vendor when they first go on sale to avoid all the hassle.

Hi there Takerra, thanks so much for writing this review! We know that reading reviews about invalid tickets can cause some trepidation and stress, but please know that while it may not appear that way, invalid tickets occur for a very small percentage of our orders! We do our very best to make sure all tickets are valid, but when things like that happen, we do everything in our power to make sure the user is taken care of. We hope that you give us another shot in the future so we can prove that SeatGeek is absolutely here to make your experience the best it can be! Thank you again!
The business model of SeatGeek is questionable. This ticket reseller has no way to guarantee tickets after the sale. Not sure how the "ticket broker" can reject an order. This makes no sense. The advertised price is the ADVERTISED price. And if the credit card goes through, the order should be valid and should be honored.
Tip for consumers:
1. Make sure you check the actual box office first. Prices at Seat Geek are WAY over face value. But that's not clear on the web site.
2. DON'T use unless you are desperate for tickets to a sold-out event.

Bought 2 tickets to a football game. All my info and confirmations were correct, but they sent me tickets for the wrong game. I contacted the actual seller, Seat Geek ASAP, they told me I had to contact FanExchange (the actual seller) to straighten out the problem. Nowhere is it printed that they are not the actual seller and not responsible for the transaction.
FanExchange acknowledged the mix up and told me they would have the correct tickets to me in 30 minutes. Of course, no tickets or update from FanExchange. I called customer service the next day and finally got the correct tickets emailed to me.
In the future I will stick with Stubhub and Vivid Seats, they may be more expensive, but at least you are dealing with the actual company, rather than a 3rd party.

I bought tickets and they canceled the order the day of the event and never sent them. They'll pass the buck and say it's not their fault, it's the fault of ticket broker, but come on, Stubhub doesn't let you down.

We ordered Tickets over 2 Weeks before the date of the play. We were sent an email stating that the tickets we purchased were not available, you were going to replace them with similar seats and I was to respond to the email if this was OK which I did. I sent another email to customer service looking for the new tickets and when they would be sent but got no response. We then called directly and finally found out that the tickets were never sent and they are going to overnight to us, which became a problem as there was no one here to sign for them. Overall I wanted to give SeatGeek a shot as we normally use Stub Hub, I will go back to Stub Hub - Never had a problem with them.

Hi Mark, thanks so much for bringing this to our attention. It looks like this order was placed through one of our vendor partners, TicketNetwork. When orders are placed through a third-party outside of SeatGeek, SeatGeek does not have fulfillment information, so unfortunately our team wasn't aware of this issue.
Please know that any time this sort of thing is brought to light regarding one of our vendor partners, we take it extremely seriously. We never want our users to have a negative experience, and in this instance we apologize that we didn't have the opportunity to help.
We'll be reaching out to you directly to follow up about what happened with this order, and again, we're genuinely sorry to hear about this experience.

Over all experience was good able to navigate web site decent
Was not happy with being able to check different seats in site for some reason it would not change and I would have to log out and start again to view a different seat location for the same show I wanted to attend
Date of experience: January 21, 2019
Fairly straight forward, bought 3 tix from a group of 4 on another site, then a late addition wanted to come, the 4th seat went up $50, so bought a ticket for $30 cheaper on seatgeek in the same section and just sat in the unpurchased 4th seat so all were in a row.

Seat Geek sent me tickets the day before the NCAA Baseball tournament in Fayetteville, AR, but the day of the game they emailed me and told me the tickets they sent me were invalidated and to use the new tickets they attached. Problem was they were to the wrong game. Totally screwed us up because now all the tickets were sold out to the correct game. No offer to get us tickets from another vendor at their expense. I'll never use them again. Horrible service.
Date of experience: June 3, 2017
Hi JD, we're incredibly sorry this happened! SeatGeek doesn't own ticket inventory, so any time the seller reports that tickets have been invalidated for any reason, we request that the seller provide replacements if possible. We can't apologize enough for the fact that the replacements provided were for the incorrect game, and it's something our team is likely investigating with the seller. That being said, we'd have definitely provided replacement tickets for this order had any been available. However, in the event that replacements are not available, we don't have access to tickets and have to therefore provide the refund. If you'd like us to look into this further to check on what happened outside of the current investigation, please reach out to our support team at hi@seatgeek.com and we'll definitely make sure this is corrected. Thank you.
The email from the vendor said we had to print the tickets but then SeatGeek sent us a mobile ticket. Thankfully the mobile ticket worked but I was confused if I had to print per the instruction of the seller or if I could use the mobile version.

I bought a ticket on a whim and got a great deal. It couldn't have been simpler, honestly. I paid $42 total including service fees for a single ticket in section 215 at MSG. Thought I should make it to MSG before prices skyrocket
Date of experience: February 27, 2019
Buying the tickets went smoothly. The download was available within minutes after the purchase was processed. They had someone else's name on them and said "SEC vs Big 12" instead of "Memphis vs Iowa State" for the team names, but the tickets worked at the gate after worrying that they wouldn't. I've read so many bad reviews about invalid and canceled tickets, and worried so much, that I probably won't use SeatGeek again. They're cheaper than StubHub, which I've bought from in the past, but StubHub seems to be better otherwise.
Tip for consumers:
Buy e-tickets, if possible, and get them as early as possible after tickets go on sale. I think this eliminates a lot of issues people seem to have with SeatGeek.

Hi Mark,
Perhaps I can shed some light on what happened here. I am very sorry your order did not go through and can understand what a frustrating experience that was for you.
To shed some light on what happened, many orders go briefly into a pending state after they've been submitted to a seller. That way sellers can check their inventory to make sure they can fulfill the order. If for some reason they can’t, it’s cancelled and the pending charge is voided. So until an order is confirmed the Seller has the option to reject it on their end which is what happened here.
Should the seller have confirmed the order, then you would be backed by our guarantee and we would make sure the seller honor the order!
Warm Regards,
SeatGeek CX Team
