While purchasing tickets for Cabaret on Broadway, I accidentally purchased tics for the wrong date (had 2 windows open!). I immediately realized my mistake, found a customer service phone number and called. I explained what happened to 'Kate', and was told that it may be possible to exchange tickets for the date I actually wanted. About 4 hours later I received a call back with a confirmation that the exchange had gone through and that my new tics were available on the app. I know that SeatGeek policy is that all purchases are final, but because these tics were a few months out they were able to assist. I appreciated the customer service.
I purchased tickets from Seat Geek to Sabrina Carpenter two months prior to the show. I received the tickets via email and added them to my Ticketmaster account. Three hours prior to the concert I got a notification from Ticketmaster that the tickets were invalid. Seat Geek customer service was useless and we were unable to attend the show. I've now spent 18 days communicating with seat geek via email and phone in which I'm continually told their team is working on it. I'm out over $700 and this company has made no attempts to refund me despite their buyer guarantee. Horribly incompetent customer service, would never trust to buy from them again.
Didn't have to print my tickets at home like the app said, just scanned from my phone.

This was the first time I'd used SeatGeek outside of Sounders games and it was fast, painless and the tickets were cheaper than on other services.

I really hope reviews like this will stop people from using this website. I've never had such a bad experience of purchasing tickets in my life. I bought 2 tickets for a hockey game, got the confirmation email that I was supposed to receive ticket from the third party and that I shouldn't be worried if I don't get it right away, because most likely I'll receive it on the date of the event. Which is already weird and makes no sense, but I went with it and waited till the day of the game. 4 hours before the game Ive got really worried, started reaching out to them, emailed twice, since didn't get a reply and it's already another day, not sure why they tell to specify that event is today so they can treat that email as a priority. First time I called I was on hold for 27 minutes, the guy on the phone was apologizing and saying he is going to make a request for my tickets again and I will receive them in an hour, if not he will make sure I'll receive them before the game starts. At that point I already promised myself never go with anything but Ticketmaster, saving $20-$30 dollars on a ticket is not worth all the stress they put you through. Anyway 20 mins before the game, still no tickets, I'm calling them, on hold for 25 minutes, the game is already on, I'm staying at the venue fighting for the tickets that I paid money for on the phone, the guy tells me "I don't know what happened", I'll get you replacement tickets, asks me to hold on, another 7 minutes of waiting to hear "sorry there are no tickets, we can refund you 120% of what you paid". Are you joking me? I drove to another state to get to the game, they had no problem with charging me for those tickets, but they can make sure I'll get them? This is absurd! 120% refund will never make anyone happy, when you ruined the whole day like this. Also that refund won't cover all the expenses when you are coming from another state. Coming to the game you paid money for and not being able to attend it. I've honestly never been in a situation like this, such an ignorance, terrible customer service. Since yesterday I had no time to listen about how they will refund me 120% because I had to figure out the way to get to the game that was already over 10 mins in, I had to call them next day, was on hold for exactly 27 mins third time in a row which means the are not busy, it's their system is to make you wait 27 mins to get to talk to someone. Clearly they couldn't do anything except to offer 120% refund, which of course will not make anyone happy after they ruined your day like that. Don't recommend it to anyone! Avoid SeatGeek! The worst.

5 months ago I purchased tickets to a baseball game that sat in confirmed. 3 months prior to the event I contacted SeatGeek and asked what the problem was? They informed me that sellers have up until 24 hours of the event to send me the tickets, and that their policy ensured the seller could not cancel the tickets. Less than 24 hours before the game I still had nothing, and called the support line. They informed me they would contact the seller and I would receive a call back in 1-2 hours. I did not. So I call back and they tell me they are escalating this to their supervisors to look into getting me replacement seats. Give them 1-2 hours and they will call me back. Nothing. The morning of the event I still did not have tickets, and am traveling into Canada to see the Blue Jays game, so I call back. They tell me again that the supervisors are looking into approving me for replacement seats, they will call me back in 1-2 hours. Nothing. Less than 1 1/2 hours before the gates open (mind you this was player ceremony and promotional event so I wanted to get in early) I call again. They say I have been approved for replacement seats, and that they will call me back in 30 minutes to an hour. Nothing. With 30 minutes left I had no choice but to purchase additional tickets. SeatGeek never once called me back after promising to do so 4 times. 2 days after the event I call and demand to speak with a supervisor. I am told by a representative to give them 2 hours and they will call me back. At this point I am sure you know what happened next, nothing. So I call back again and demand to speak with a supervisor. After 72 hours of hell while traveling in a foreign country, I am finally connected with a supervisor. They offer me the refund on my ticket I never received. I tell them at this point, that is insulting after what I have been through. After waiting 45 minutes on hold, they tell me they will offer me an additional $20 promo. I didn't call looking for much of a compensation, but I wanted to be heard and at least receive something for the torment they put me through. And the best they could offer me was $20, a fraction of what my seats cost. Do not waste your time with SeatGeek. The company worth millions does not care about you as its customer.
Tip for consumers:
Don't waste your time with this awful organization.

Hi Isaac,
Sorry to hear your transaction didn't go through. It sounds like you may have had a pending authorization hold on your account--for many online purchases, the payment processor will send the expected total as a pending charge to your bank. As soon as our system recognizes your transaction as failed, the pending charge is voided out. Often times it can take a few business days for your credit card statement to reflect this, but your bank will usually wipe the pending charge from your statement even sooner if you get in touch with them. Apologies again for the inconvenience!
