While purchasing tickets for Cabaret on Broadway, I accidentally purchased tics for the wrong date (had 2 windows open!). I immediately realized my mistake, found a customer service phone number and called. I explained what happened to 'Kate', and was told that it may be possible to exchange tickets for the date I actually wanted. About 4 hours later I received a call back with a confirmation that the exchange had gone through and that my new tics were available on the app. I know that SeatGeek policy is that all purchases are final, but because these tics were a few months out they were able to assist. I appreciated the customer service.
I purchased tickets from Seat Geek to Sabrina Carpenter two months prior to the show. I received the tickets via email and added them to my Ticketmaster account. Three hours prior to the concert I got a notification from Ticketmaster that the tickets were invalid. Seat Geek customer service was useless and we were unable to attend the show. I've now spent 18 days communicating with seat geek via email and phone in which I'm continually told their team is working on it. I'm out over $700 and this company has made no attempts to refund me despite their buyer guarantee. Horribly incompetent customer service, would never trust to buy from them again.
No where on this site did it specify that taxes were not included in the pricing. I just looked at more tickets and that statement is NOT where I was told it is when I called. My total at checkout did not include this and then suddenly an ADDITIONAL charge of $43 was added without my consent. I understand that taxes need to be calculated based off your area and whatnot, but if I shop or buy anything online taxes are always included in the payment screen. Not only is this misleading, but also caused me to not buy the BETTER tickets from stubhub because stubhub is upfront and honest about their pricing. I have now payed the same amount for lesser seats. When I called I was told that it was my fault and they are authorized to essentially charge my card whatever they want. I will never use this service again and will recommend people to stubhub as they at least tell you what you are actually paying.
Tip for consumers:
Don't use this site.

Very easy to use Great selection and will definitely use in the future will definitely recommend to all my family and friends and tell them how you do not have to pay any fees when purchasing tickets. They have a wide selection of shows and sporting events to choose from.

Best ticket buying experience yet. Had my settings set to show the total price of the tickets with fees. Found a couple seats in the 2nd row within two hours of the start of the game at a discount. Bought them with Apple Pay and then downloaded the tickets on my phone. All within 5 minutes. No problems at the gate with the e-tickets. Will do this again.

Tickets were $3 ea. SeatGeek has the absolute lowest price and garaunteed seating experience for any event. It's easy and your tickets are easily accessible through their app, which means no hassles at the gate! Love the App!

I purchased tickets from SeatGeek and the event date was changed. While I was unable to get a refund through SeatGeek they encouraged me to sell these tickets on StubHub. I was able to sell them! But since the venue would not release the tickets until day off, I not only lost the sale but had to pay StubHub a 40% fee of my sales price. Ultimately, I spent hundreds of dollars on tickets that I can't use or sell. I will never use them again and am posting this on every review site and social media site possible.

I purchased 4 tickets for 2 mets games on 2 different days. A Saturday and a Sunday to make a weekend trip with my wife. Saturday tickets went well and all was good. But I had never received sunday's tickets, I'm was unable to go to the game because of it. It also costs me an extra night at a hotel that we were staying at simply because we had tickets for sunday's game. Since we didn't have tickets for sunday's game there was no reason for us to stay Sunday night. So I'm out of 150 for the hotel another 100 for the tickets.

It was good as usual. I have always just wished you could see where the seats are located within the row, not just what row they're in. Other than that I really like using SeatGeek. I like it much better than some of the competitors.

Have purchased tickets from Seatgeek on many occasions, today realized I had not received my tickets. Made two phone calls both CSR went out of their way to help, sending emails, checking on the status of my search, could not have been nicer and found my tickets!

Last minute decision to watch the Pirates (my favorite team) take on the Twins (my friends favorite team). Since it was just the two of us attending this game we decided to get the best available seats and we were not disappointed. The seats were right of the first base line so we were able to see everything with no trouble.

Easy to use, easy to view tickets on your phone, and you'll know what you're going to pay per ticket before you get to the checkout. Because they tell you up front the price with fees. I hate being surprised at checkout with fees that are almost the same as the ticket price itself.
Date of experience: March 5, 2018
They got the tickets from ticketmaster and you will need to pay additional fee for that (more than 40% of the ticket fee). If you purchased two tickets then you will never find a way to get the tickets returned or reselled. It just like they just forced you to buy it. This is very terrible.

For all their talk about refunds etc, its taken over 6 months and they somehow still haven't processed it. The little communication I've received from them they continually blame my bank (Who I've spoken with, and I've never had an issue with them processing a refund quickly). Total BS. SeatGeek, what kind of rinky dink operation are you running?!

Purchased seats for an event at the box office day before show... NO tickets received via email. Decided to call customer service wait 1hr 11min for an agent. Provided multiple forms of identification of payment including last 4 digits of card # waited over 3hrs for issue to be unresolved. Needless to say I was beyond upset and frustrated. I'll just stop here bc the amount already wasted has been overwhelming but this company needs to be audited and large venues need to stop using them.

Thought we were sitting front row and werent even close. You need to get your seating chart updated. I understand if you cant sell those tickets but I wouldve paid $15 less for the row behind me. Not cool stealing peoples money.

Hi Brian, thanks for bringing this issue to our attention, and we're sorry about this! We do see that you'd purchased tickets in Row A, and our site doesn't account for rows AA-HH in two of the section of this venue.
We've sent that issue over our mapping team to get corrected, and in the meantime a member of our support team will be reaching out to you to make sure you're compensated for this.

Acquired tickets to a yankees/nationals baseball game, and was very satisfied with my purchase. Having your tickets right at your phone and the ability to send the ticket image between users is great. I appreciate that after sending your ticket to your friend who's coming late, that ticket is no longer in your inventory. No confusion

I wish I had read the review before purchasing 7 tickets because I was charged but was never able to access the tickets. The company refused to acknowledge there was a problem with their email and the access code and therefore refused to refund my money. To make it worse the person at the company I spoke with kept trying to point the blame on me that their email didn't work and kept giving me the same run around scripted answer every time he came back from "speaking with someone about the situation". Completely fraudulent company if you ask me.

Hello Alyssa, we apologize if you were unable to access your tickets! Without having access to the specific order, we aren't able to determine exactly what may have occurred that prevented you from having access to your tickets. However, we'd be more than willing to take another look at the order and see if we can get some answers for you. If you'd like, please reach out to our customer support team via email hi@seatgeek.com so we can make sure you received all of the correct information regarding ticket delivery. We look forward to hearing from you so we can make sure to look into this.
Update: SeatGeek did ultimately provide a refund to my original form of payment. Having said that, it took a post to Twitter to have them honor their word.
I was shopping for tickets in two cities. Somehow one city was charged to my credit card without me finalizing the purchase. SeatGeek said they would refund to my original form of payment but processed it as a credit for future purchase. They admitted they have it on a recorded line that they offered me a refund to the original form of payment but will not correct the transaction.

Bought a 220$ Ticket 2 rows behind home plate In the diamond club to see Phillies-Dodgers. When I got to the park, my ticket was scanned and it said Invalid. After many phone calls and emails, and waiting around for over 2 hours. Alex from Fan Exchange or Seat Geek helped contact the seller and he was able to meet me by 7:05 with the actual tickets from the Phillies. What if this guy couldn't have met me? I would have been out of luck. After reading other reviews I see this is a common thing to happen with SeatGeek. I will now gladly pay the extra 25-50$ on stubhub so this kind of thing never happens. I advise you to do the same. Stick with stubhub.

Ben, we are so grateful that you took the time to give us this feedback. SeatGeek is primarily a search engine that aggregates hundreds of ticket sellers, including the vendor Fanxchange. I'm glad that you were able to eventually resolve your issue with Fanxchange but we take these situations VERY seriously. Please email us at hi@seatgeek.com so that we can find out more details and look deeper into the negative experience you had.
I recently purchased tickets to Absinthe at the Spiegeltent - Ceasar's Palace in Las Vegas. In the process of my purchase I picked the wrong date but as soon as completed my orders I knew I had made a mistake. Guess what…Seat Geek does not give a crap that your out several hundred dollars! There is no customer service to correct the error. No way to exchange. It is really sad. I will NEVER use this trash app again and I suggest anyone considering doing so… DON'T or you may have to take one to the chin like me

I purchased 4 tickets 6 weeks ahead to attend an baseball classic game, in Miami FL. I called many time which I was put on on hold several times and when I was able to speak to someone, I didn't get a straight answer about my tickets arriving. Tickets arrive three days prior to the event which I couldn't attend now because I didn't know if I had tickets for it. The same day I spoke to seatGeek representative who told me that the tickets had been removed from my names due to the latest arrival. It's been almost 3 months now and I still haven't received my money back. I feel like a was robbed. I did not attend the baseball game and I lost my money as well...

Hi Jerry, thanks for leaving this message, and hopefully I can clarify a little bit about what happened here and make sure this is right for you.
Regarding the tickets not being delivered until a few days before the game--some venues, performers, and teams have policies in place that do not allow tickets to be issued to the secondary ticket market until a certain time prior to the event date. Each team, venue, and performer is different--some performers don't release tickets until 24 hours prior to their shows, some sports teams don't release their tickets until 72-24 hours prior to the game itself. While it's not actively a policy across every ticketed event, it is something we're seeing more and more often and is a direct result of these teams and performers wanting to make their tickets as secure as possible. We know that it's not always convenient, and we recognize that if it's not something you'd experienced in the past, it can be confusing and nerve-wracking. We do our best to make our users aware of these situations as policies fluctuate, but we do genuinely apologize if that information wasn't provided to you with clarity.
That being said, it sounds like one of our representatives may have offered a courtesy buyback due to your inability to attend the game once the tickets had been issued. While rare, SeatGeek does have the ability to offer this option at its discretion for users who cannot use the ticket they'd purchased. If that's the case, you should have absolutely received the funds for the full amount you'd paid when the tickets were removed from your account. If you haven't received those funds, and you were offered a buyback, that's something we definitely want to look into. In order to do so, please send us an email referencing your Order ID to (hi@seatgeek.com) so one of our representatives can take a look at the status of that refund.
We are sorry about any confusion that may have happened with these tickets! We look forward to hearing from you so we can make sure we look into this.
Had trouble getting tickets on app after purchase. Chatted with rep online and was advised to use another ticket agency after my credit card was charged $1000 or wait 24 hrs to see if charges went through. Asked to speak to a supervisor and rep ended my chat without resolution. 30 minutes after being hung up on without resolution my tickets came through. Had I gone to another ticket agency I would of had double the tickets. Wasn't impressed. I will use another ticket agency next time.

Fast and easy transaction! Went to two games and sat in two different areas. For the first game, I added to my calendar and didn't like the way it kept giving me alerts even after the game was over. Didn't add to my calendar for the second game because that was annoying. Otherwise a great experience and my team won! Go Rockies!

My first purchase on Seatgeek could not have gone smoother. I purchased seats for Ed Sheeran about 6 months ago off of the site, and was a little bit worried about the legitimacy of the tickets based off of some of the reviews that I've read. Seatgeek was incredibly helpful throughout the entire process, answered all of my questions in a timely matter while simultaneously easing my worries about fraudulent tickets. We even received an unexpected seat upgrade a few days before the show (to the 10th row!). The in-app tickets were a breeze, and we had an absolutely amazing time at the show last night. Huge props to this company and their awesome customer service. They've gained a lifelong customer.

The tickets I bought were not clear and after I bought them I realized its not the correct ones I thought I was buying. Customer service will not help at all. They will not refund, let me resell and they will not let me send to someone else until its 72 hours before the concert. Absolutely ridiculous. Don't buy from SeatGeek seriously. Use Ticketmaster or something else.

Mark, we are so sorry that this was your experience using SeatGeek. This does not sound like the normal process for our customers to go through at checkout or with our CX team. In regards to the pricing, we pride ourselves on showing "all in" pricing and not surprising customers with additional fees. We're are very surprised and disappointed that this was not what you encountered. Please, please email us at hi@seatgeek.com and reference this conversation so that we can dive in deeper and make it right.
