While purchasing tickets for Cabaret on Broadway, I accidentally purchased tics for the wrong date (had 2 windows open!). I immediately realized my mistake, found a customer service phone number and called. I explained what happened to 'Kate', and was told that it may be possible to exchange tickets for the date I actually wanted. About 4 hours later I received a call back with a confirmation that the exchange had gone through and that my new tics were available on the app. I know that SeatGeek policy is that all purchases are final, but because these tics were a few months out they were able to assist. I appreciated the customer service.
I purchased tickets from Seat Geek to Sabrina Carpenter two months prior to the show. I received the tickets via email and added them to my Ticketmaster account. Three hours prior to the concert I got a notification from Ticketmaster that the tickets were invalid. Seat Geek customer service was useless and we were unable to attend the show. I've now spent 18 days communicating with seat geek via email and phone in which I'm continually told their team is working on it. I'm out over $700 and this company has made no attempts to refund me despite their buyer guarantee. Horribly incompetent customer service, would never trust to buy from them again.
I bought tickets on SeatGeek through a recommendation of a friend. My niece and I got to the Hillsong concert in Miami, but we couldn't get in. The tickets when scanned kept coming up with a big x with the word refunded! We were then directed to the box office and they refused to help. They said it was a third party dealer and if the ticket is saying refunded then and we weren't the names on the ticket we need to call the people who originally bought the ticket and figure it out with them! What?! I had no intention of losing my money so we went to another entrance and explained what was going on! Thank God that these workers had compassion. They told us that it wasn't working, and this tends to happen with many third party scans, but we could go in and see if the seats were actually open. If they were, they told us to stay and if not it's an open venue with lawn space too so we could still just find another spot and stay! We went to the assigned seats and guess what! Two people were already sitting there! We compared tickets and both sets of tickets had exactly the same section, row and seats! Since we were all standing at the time, the other two ticket holders invited us to stay until we had to sit. Eventually, they helped us find two other unused seats just in front of "our" seats and we were able to enjoy the concert... NO THANKS TO SEATGEEK! However, because of kind, Christian people and answered prayers this fiasco did work out! Otherwise, I would have lost money on 2 tickets and missed a concert that I was really looking forward to see! Terrible SeatGeek experience! I would not recommend using this site!

Hi Kurt, thanks for reaching out. Secondary market ticket prices fluctuate far more than primary market ticket prices. They can often fall below face value, too. On the flip side, if primary market tickets are underpriced or hard to get, secondary market tickets prices often cost more than face value. Good news is you can almost always still buy your way into an event on the secondary market long after primary market tickets have sold out.
While we usually have some of the lowest-priced tickets on the web, like with any other purchase, sometimes there will be lower priced options available, especially if the box office still has tickets for sale.

No REFUNDS - whatsoever. Period.
Though their site boasts several times - 'Ticket returns without the nonsense.' and 'Returnable until (3 days before event) Return your tickets for no extra cost. No questions asked.'
Suspiciously sounds like you get your money back - right? Wrong.
What they don't tell you (though SeatGeek love to repeat over and over after you have an issue) is it is in the 'terms'.
I bought 2 tickets yesterday and need two more. The response from customer service was 'hmmm'. Apparently that was an unusual request at a ticket seller! The procedure took forever, involved setting up accounts with Ticketmaster, swapping, transferring, all very confusing. It was then I realized a refund was off the table. Now, I didn't want to do any business with them, at all for conning me. I asked to speak to a rep and they told me 24-48 hours before someone could contact me. The show I am trying to get tickets for could be sold out by then, or prices increased. I called their bull on the 24-48 hour and woe and behold, I suddenly get told I will be transferred. My rep was Christian. The case is still pending...
UPDATE:
After 3 days of calling, chatting and sending emails I finally got to speak to a supervisor. Literally spent hours on the phone. I'd hate to work for SeatGeek as all supervisors seem to be in very 'important' meetings 24 hours a day and don't have time to address my issue! Seriously.
After all was said and done, they offered me a pitiful $20 toward my $900 worth of ticket purchases for inconvenience.
The Final Kicker - As I was searching through my emails for SeatGeek correspondence (regarding this case) I came across a three year old email. Back then I had purchased tickets from SeatGeek and they screwed me on the seat location. I was literally at the back row, far corner with a pillar in front of me. The seats were not allocated when I bought them and were supposed to be in one of several sections with great views. They lied then and I vowed never to use them again, but completely forgot. Arggggg. Being screwed twice proves they are a horrible company. Beware. Go elsewhere.
I am contacting their CEO. He is either privy and complicit or - I hope would be horrified to hear what is going on in his ranks - and do something about it.
Tip for consumers:
People say - read the fine print. While that is good advice I say, a company that operates so shady it disguises its no refund policy, (burying it on a final page or available only in the terms) should be a company people avoid and not do business with at all. Honest companies don't have to send their disgruntled customers to their terms and conditions to prove they are right; they are honest and have good honorable customer service.

My email account got hacked, so I lost every email in my inbox and trash folders. Unfortunately, this included my tickets purchased through seatgeek.
Unlike every other ticket provider, seatgeek does not give you access to your tickets on their website. They'll send you an email with your tickets and that's that. This is where everything went wrong.
At 8:30 in the morning ON THE DAY OF THE EVENT I HAD TICKETS FOR, I emailed seatgeek asking them to re-send my tickets. I went through all the extra info they needed to screen me, etc. By 2pm I hadn't heard anything, so I reached out again---PLEASE NOTE, THERE IS NO WAY TO CALL THEM, EITHER---THIS IS BY DESIGN, I'M SURE.
They emailed me back at 3pm and said they had to reach out to the vendor I bought my tickets from, and would be in touch.
Well, the event I was going to started in a few hours so time was short. And it sure as hell wasn't a priority to seatgeek.
Finally, at 6:30pm I got tired of waiting and ordered the same tickets for the same event through StubHub.
And Stubhub emailed me my tickets, but also kept them available to me on their website.
For some STUPID, RIDICULOUS REASON, seatgeek doesn't do that.
It ended up costing me an additional $175 to buy the same seats from another ticket agency.
I *will never* use seatgeek again.
