After pressing the buy option for 2 theater tickets, Seat Geek sent back an ambiguous message saying the transaction may not have gone through and that I should check my email. When I checked my email there was no confirmation from Seat Geek. Presuming that the transaction had failed, I ordered 2 more tickets. A minute later two email confirms arrived for 2 tickets each. I contacted Seat Geek's customer service immediately; they told me that all ticket sales were final, and that I should attempt to sell the tickets through their service. When I failed to get them to reconsider, I attempted to offer the 2 extra tickets for sale at a loss, but their service said they were ineligible! I don't often feel like a chump, but I did after dealing with them. 3 days later, Fernando from their customer service emailed to say they had secured a refund from the box office. After it was credited, I altered the review from 1 star to 4 stars. Walter Masterson
I purchased tickets from Seat Geek to Sabrina Carpenter two months prior to the show. I received the tickets via email and added them to my Ticketmaster account. Three hours prior to the concert I got a notification from Ticketmaster that the tickets were invalid. Seat Geek customer service was useless and we were unable to attend the show. I've now spent 18 days communicating with seat geek via email and phone in which I'm continually told their team is working on it. I'm out over $700 and this company has made no attempts to refund me despite their buyer guarantee. Horribly incompetent customer service, would never trust to buy from them again.
I was not able to list any tickets on this website its a flat out lie waste of time just to get you to sing up for their site. Also they pay people to write fake reviews on apples app store its so easy to tell what a crap company dont bother wasting your time
Very user friendly. Do wish they had a few more sort options though, like sort by lowest row. But I love the upfront pricing. Its nice not to be surprised by "resort" fees to use a Hotel industry irritating reference. I love that what I see, is what I am paying and I don't have to play mind games while deciding. Great job SeatGeek. The way ticket buying should be.
They are quite deceptive in their tactics. I purchased tickets and was not given the seat numbers ahead of time but was assured the seats would be together. I printed my tickets today to discover that they are not in fact together and are in separate rows. Customer service is a joke. I did find a number online but spent 20+ minutes on hold before speaking with a person who claims someone else will be calling me. They completed cheated me out of my money and accept no responsibility. I am speaking with my bank now about disputing the charge as they did not produce the goods I agreed to pay for. Do not use Seat Geek!
I bought 4 tickets for a Savannah Bananas game. The game was rained out after only 2 innings. The team has announced that the game won't be rescheduled. Under the refund policy that's on Seatgeek's website, they "guarantee" that they will refund or credit the purchase price for games that are cancelled and not rescheduled. They refuse to do so, despite the fact that I have provided them with both a screenshot of the announcement on the team's Facebook page and an email from the team's ticket office confirming the cancellation and no reschedule. Seatgeek does not provide the guarantee that it says it does.
After an issue of lost or misplaced tickets and talking with numerous representatives time and time again, Nikki took it upon herself to ensure my tickets were replaced. I cannot thank her enough for personally taking time out of her schedule and contacting the initial seller so that I received my tickets on time. Guys you don't understand... I went thru hell before she took this task on her shoulders. This isn't necessarily a compliment towards Seatgeek because as I stated, I went thru numerous representatives who basically passed the buck and continuously gave me the runaround. But it was Nikki who made things happen. After talking to her, I received updated emails on the progress of obtaining my tickets which cost me about $2000. Can't thank her enough.
Tried to obtain Springsteen On-Broadway tickets today (June 10,2021). I was placed in a queue at 11:00 am for a noon sale time. At 10:30 pm I am still in queue. It is not my equipment. I have no response from Seatgeek customer service. The absolute worst ticket agency. Bruce Springsteen's management should not allow this to happen.
You cannot find out anything about status of your tickets or if your credit card has been charged. No phone # to call. I have purchased many tickets from other sites without any problem. They can't even answer my email in a timely manner. Stock email saying we will get back to you. The game I purchased is tomorrow. How long do I wait!
NEVER USE SEATGEEK!
Hi Marie,
We're so sorry to hear about this frustrating experience! We take our customers feedback very seriously and have taken a number of steps to improve our customer support in response to feedback like yours. We now have a customer support phone line, and we've more than doubled the size of our team, which has dramatically reduced our response times and allowed us to expand our available hours.
We're so sorry that these systems weren't in place at the time you ordered, and we're grateful that you let us know how we could improve our service!
My friend wanted to join me to a sold out show in Philadelphia. So he bought a 60 something dollar ticket through SeatGeek. I knew it was too good to be true. And when they scanned the ticket-- it was used already. What a horrible thing to happen! After talking to the door guy about this-- he mentioned that twelve people had to leave because of the same situation. Super lame, #SeatGeek.
Updated:
SeatGeek took care of this by taking off the amount for the tickets. So thank you for that. But that doesn't make it better-- my friend still had to leave that night. The ticket was still a fraud. So I'm not changing my rating.
Thanks for reaching out and sharing the experience you and your friend had. We work everyday to make ticket buying easier and smarter for people and we have very strict agreements with the sellers who list their tickets on SeatGeek. We're so sorry that you had a negative experience but we're dedicated to making it right. Please, please email us at hi@seatgeek.com so that we can resolve this issue!
It may be unrelated, but within 30 minutes of buying my tickets, three attempts were made to use the same credit card. I did not make those attempts. I had not used that cc in over a month prior to the SeatGeek purchase.
I love the seat geek website. Functions like: view of the best deals, and the view of the seats are great for ticket purchasing decisions.
It would be cool if in this view you could see the other seat prices based on where it is in the stadium.
I received a disjointed link from the 589-88 number (see attached).
Also, the fees are very high $10+ per ticket ($40 ticket).
I've been disappointed with seat geek lately realizing after purchases that I get to print tickets from third party app or sites that i could have gotten the same tickets at a better
Price from them directly. I will now check SeatGeek but shop for tickets elsewhere
Zero stars! I bought a "returnable" ticket, but when I tried to return it (within less than 48 hours) I was only offered a "promo code" which essentially is just a credit to your account to use on future ticket purchases. When you click on the information explaining what a returnable ticket is, the verbiage is intentionally misleading, never saying annything about a returnable ticket, only mentioning their ticket "swap" program. I thought they were talking about two different programs and was confused. When I tried to speak to a supervisor and explain this (within 48 hours of purchasing my ticket) they just said that all sales are final. I hope someone approaches their misuse of verbiage with legal action and reports them to the BBB. Unethical and misleading. Return does not mean swap. Promo code does not mean return. Their fees are outrageous too. What a scam. Terrible terrible company.
Don't buy from SeatGeek bought 2 tickets. One of the tickets was sold on Ticketmaster & SeatGeek. So as far as we are concerned. The tickets are no good … they want to refund the one ticket. But there were two of us. embarrassing frustrating. We found out when we tried to get into the concert. I have some health issues and prefer to not sit alone … BEWARE. I'd say buy tickets somewhere else
Luckily, I bought tickets for March. I'm having troubles downloading my tickets to my phone and contacted customer service over two weeks ago and got nothing but a "form letter" answer with the instructions I already tried and failed. I'll wait until after the holidays and, hopefully, have better luck getting someone to help.
Seat Geek hit me with auto responses when I emailed them. Finally they admitted the tickets were only sent via the app and would have to download this and feel my way through. About 45 min later I had my tickets. The App is not straight forward at all. What a pain in the $#*!. They never responded to my last 2 emails.
Hey There,
We understand that you had some frustrations with the ticket buying process. When it comes to certain types of events and venues, such as Major League Baseball, they are moving towards all mobile ticketing. This is why the tickets were delivered directly though the app. In the app all of your tickets and orders are conveniently stored in the tickets tab, the button located center at the bottom of the screen. That way you can pull up your mobile tickets and have them scanned directly from your device!
Taking a look I do see our rep did their best to information you the ways the tickets may be delivered and where they were located. It also looks as if they responded to all of your emails. If you would like further assistance or followup, please feel free to call us at 888.506.4101.
Warm Regards,
SeatGeek CX Team
My friend Angela told me about seatgeek after I complained about the other sites. So easy to use. I've used it for dodger stadium, Hollywood bowl, staples center and the rose bowl. Very interactive site and killer prices.
This is my second time using seat geek and I'm not understanding why there is an additional $50 charge per ticket. The seats are expensive enough. If I could have found them on ticket master I would have.
Hi Carla,
Thank you for taking the time to reach out. Apologies for any confusion regarding the seller fees. Ticket fees will vary based on a number of different factors, such as ticket price, ticket type, delivery format, event, and market rate. The fee structure might even be formatted differently within the same seller’s different listings because so many factors go into how fees are determined. Because of this, we can’t guarantee one specific percentage for the fee structure.
The easiest way to avoid a discrepancy at the final purchase price is to always keep the “Prices with fees” option on. Luckily, there will always be a thorough price breakdown with fees included at checkout before anyone is able to complete their purchase.
I hope this helps. If you have anymore questions, please reach out to us at hi@seatgeek.com or contact view chat.
We'll gladly assist!
Warm regards,
CX Team at SeatGeek
They are terrible and their customer service is non existent! Rude, arrogant liars! They manipulate ticket sales and completely lie about it! I will never buy or sell tickets from them again, as long as I live! Cheats!
Tip for consumers:
If you plan to sell tickets make sure you sell them all at once. They will try to resell tickets that are already sold and aren’t available! To make matters worse they then charge them to your credit card! This all happened to me in one single day! When I tried to call to tell them it was a mix up on their end they wouldn’t even let me explain the situation and was extremely rude! That’s because It’s a scam they run and I can guarantee I’m not the first to have this happen! Complete frauds!

Ticket sales for a concert. Expensive seats.
Used SeatGeek for the first time to purchase Stevie Nicks concert tickets. When we got to the gate, we were turned away because our tickets have already been used. With a calm head, I called SeatGeek and they took care of the situation immediately. Sometimes the seller of the tickets accidently double sells the seat on several ticket sites. Out of SeatGeek's control but it does happen. Customer service agent Jack in Portland quickly got me new tickets and we were in our new upgraded seats just as the concert started.
I love checking SeatGeek for events. The prices are always noted with or without the service fee which is an extremely nice feature to have. I also like how you can tell where in the venue you'd be sitting because they have pictures from that spot in the venue. It's very easy to purchase and if you need to get your tickets from Ticketmaster afterwards, they make that easy as well.
Worst company I have ever done business with please. Please do not use this company if you don't have to, they don't care about their customers. They double charge me for the authorization hold against my account plus charge me after that, then when it didn't go through, sold my seats to someone else, and then after an hour and a 1/2 on the phone, want to offer me $20. What an insult and Nothing compared to the $430 that I was going to spend. It's sad to see A big casino using this terrible company to host their events. Teaming up with a company. With a 3.5 rating, you don't deserve that.

Scam. Do NOT use this company. They sold tickets to a concert that did not even exist and it is even still listed on their website to an alec benjamin concert on 12/31/22. The Ryman auditorium confirmed this is not (and never was) a real concert. Also the artist website does not list this date. We purchased tickets and they will not respond to my repeated requests to refund the money. Nuts. I will be filing a lawsuit to expose the fraud and will attempt to make it a class action for all of us that have been wrongly done. This is crazy...how on earth are they still a company.
I agree with some of the comments on this review. SeatGeek promoted seats for a show starting that they have the best prices. To save even more they offer an option to allow them to assign seats for you. They guarantee the seats will be together and list a number of sections where your seats could be located. I purchased x4 tickets. My seats were finally assigned, 3 months later and are literally in the worst 4 seats in the theater, located in the far rear corner. I have since found the price for these seats at a third of the price elsewhere. I contacted SeatGeek, after some difficulty finding any contact (good luck finding a phone number - there isn't one). I was basically told that they will do nothing except offer a $20 voucher off my next ticket purchase. $20 should have been discounted off my initial purchase anyway as it was my first purchase and that is their offer. As I told SeatGeek, I will never use them in the future. Don't risk you're money buy from a trusted source
My husband & I have noticed we get different results with the same search parameters. Would like to be able to easily see the cheapest seats in the whole stadium but also then filter down to a certain area of the field.
That is a great suggestion! We are always looking for ways to make our platform even more user friendly and we will make sure that our developers get this feedback.
Seat geek advertised 2 tickets for the Denver Nuggets area 366 row 8 and we were meeting a group that already had tickets in row 8. I purchase 2 tickets and seat geek changed them to row 7 after I purchased them...I tried to get refund with no luck and they stated I could only get credit with their company...they advertise full immediate refund. They lied... there is no phone #. Only chat in which they stop answering when I requested a full refund. I would not recommend doing any type of business with seat geek! Good luck!
