After pressing the buy option for 2 theater tickets, Seat Geek sent back an ambiguous message saying the transaction may not have gone through and that I should check my email. When I checked my email there was no confirmation from Seat Geek. Presuming that the transaction had failed, I ordered 2 more tickets. A minute later two email confirms arrived for 2 tickets each. I contacted Seat Geek's customer service immediately; they told me that all ticket sales were final, and that I should attempt to sell the tickets through their service. When I failed to get them to reconsider, I attempted to offer the 2 extra tickets for sale at a loss, but their service said they were ineligible! I don't often feel like a chump, but I did after dealing with them. 3 days later, Fernando from their customer service emailed to say they had secured a refund from the box office. After it was credited, I altered the review from 1 star to 4 stars. Walter Masterson
I purchased tickets from Seat Geek to Sabrina Carpenter two months prior to the show. I received the tickets via email and added them to my Ticketmaster account. Three hours prior to the concert I got a notification from Ticketmaster that the tickets were invalid. Seat Geek customer service was useless and we were unable to attend the show. I've now spent 18 days communicating with seat geek via email and phone in which I'm continually told their team is working on it. I'm out over $700 and this company has made no attempts to refund me despite their buyer guarantee. Horribly incompetent customer service, would never trust to buy from them again.
We flew from Mexico to see U2 / Sphere Las Vegas and the tickets did not work! A total scam.they sell the same tickets many times! Terrible experience.it has been more than a month and I still do not have my refund! FRAUD

Do not sell your tickets thru Seat Geek. If you want to get paid for your tickets they require you to provide them with your bank account number and Social Security number. You would be crazy to do that. It is a license to steal from you. They should change the name of the company to Seat Jerk!
Tip for consumers:
Seat Geek is not reputable and probably located outside the USA.

This is the worst service and experience I have ever had. I purchased tickets on SeatGeek and the sale was confirmed. The day of the event, I still had not received my tickets. I had to call/chat in 7 times. Each time I chatted in, the representative said they would call me back. Not 1 of them emailed or called me. I asked to speak to a manager 10 times but was unable to get them to connect me to a person who could resolve my issue. 2 hours before the baseball game, I was told that the seller backed out. I wanted to use their guarantee but they did not offer me comparable seats or better. I had tickets between first and home. They would only offer me outfield horrible seats. None of the seats they offered came close to where the seats I purchased were located. Since they would not give me a resolution until 2 hours before the event, there were not a lot of tickets left at a reasonable price. Because these were a gift for a friend, I wound up spending TWICE the amount to replace the tickets. The entire experience was ridiculous. DO NOT USE THEM. Their guarantee does not exist and there is ZERO accountability.
Could not accept tickets. Kept getting the same error code. Customer service were also getting the same error when they attempted to accept tickets under my account. Stressful experience having to contact customer service over and over and had to have tickets sent four separate times. Stressful, frustrating, and unpleasant dealing with this day and night prior to traveling six hours to our event. Tickets were purchased five months prior to the event, and we almost didn't get to go. It wasn't resolved until 2 days before event.

I have filed a dispute and attempting to resolve.
Very dishonest company.

It appears that Seatgeek sells tickets it does not confidently have access to sell. Per a service rep "Listings update every few minutes, but sometimes that is not fast enough to keep up with situations where demand is unusually high. A listing might still show as available, even though it was just purchased". Hence, a technology limitation (and/or cost choice by seatgeek) results in a subset of purchasers being notified several minutes later (if they check their e-mail), that the purchase could not be completed and the $$ will be refunded. This happened to me twice today - the second attempt was via a seatgeek rep sending me a link to buy the tickets!
The above pain point is only part of the problem. Seatgeek will do nothing to get you comparable tickets for the same event. There is zero attempt to resolve. Tickets went up in price, too bad, you are getting your money back, try again. Given the significant seatgeek fee charged per ticket, they can easily resolve these situations but appear to choose not to
Seatgeek is no longer a little company. They manage their technology choices as well as the rules of their marketplace. Choices matter. Very disappointing
I bought concert tickets approximately 6weeks ago. Said concert was canceled in less than 4 days of purchase. I immediately requested a refund & here we are 6 weeks later without a refund. Customer service has given me the runaround from day one of trying to get my money back. I disputed the charge with my Credit Card company. Finally,Seat Geek says if I have the CC Company remove the dispute they will process my refund. I did so only to then have Seat Geek say that they need a document from my CC company saying that the dispute was lifted & a screenshot will not be accepted. I've since filed a new dispute with the CC company. No one should have to beg & jump through hoops to receive their money back. It sure was a Quick process to take my money. I would advise to NEVER do business with Seat Geek.

You cannot resell them on that site if your plans change. You have to use another site. None of that is made particularly clear in the fine print. There is an offer for a refund of some kind - I guess bank the price of the ticket less the $100 (!) in fees? Hard to tell. But a couple days before the event, when you realize it won't sell is too late to get the refund. So you don't really have time to re-sell. You can be on CHAT with them twice, and they won't warn you. Predatory business practices; buyer beware!
Tip for consumers:
They seem to specialize in MLB. You might be OK there.
Bought tickets to an NFL game. Days later no tickets due to an internal error. No refund. I must now decide to drive 14 hours with the hope of tickets. They did assure me I would get tickets right before the game. Still, who would want to be out in this situation.
This was the first and last time I will ever use this company Seat Geek. I purchased tickets the night before event. They give you an auto reply that tickets will be transferred in 48 hours. My event was happening the nexgt day. I reach out via email and via phone the next day to confirm my order. They simply say we will get back to you in a few hours. Hours go by I check my account to find that they provide me with ticket that is not what i purchased. I purchased a VIP ticket and they supply me with something completly different. NOT even worth half the amount i paid for this event. Bait and switch now hours before the event no response from the company. Honestly Stub HUB is much better Never use Seat Geek unless you enjoy being ripped off!
I bought the wrong day on accident for the band TOOL. They are playing 1/12/23 and 1/13/23 I bought tickets for 1/12/23 by mistake, and seatgeek refused to swap days out. They said theirs nothing they can do. I lost 400$ and never got to see the show. Use stubhub or Ticketmaster.

None because they took my money and did not deliver product. I reversed the charge. I WILL make it my life mission to make sure they can never ever do biz again and do not get another round of funding.
They don't send you tickets. You have to create an account in order to access your tickets. You can't print the tickets, which is problematic since I like a hard copy, just in case.
Wasted a great deal of time to access tickets, only to find out I had to send them to someone to be able to access them. In the end I had to create another email account that seatgeek would allow me to send them to and allow me to "access" my tickets.
Wow, I mean really a pain in the neck!
Rescheduled gig. Tix gone missing from seatgeek. Over a week back and forth and a polite c/care team just not able to help. DO NOT use seatgeek
Still fighting with seatgeeks over not providing tickets that I paid for two months before the event. They are getting frustrated because I won't close out my BBB complaint, read the BBB seatgeek reviews. They are rated F and it's obvious they are a unethical company. The Massachusetts atty general is investigating and they advised me to file with the NY AG as they are based in NYC. Still waiting before I get a lawyer. Don't even think about using this company!
Tip for consumers:
don't use seatgeeks,go to the BBB website and you will see they have an F rating ,are unethical and a group of scam artists. STAY AWAY

Bought tickets to a Georgia bulldogs football gave in Athens for a disabled veteran on Veterans Day. Tickets were confirmed but never delivered. Called a few times but was told I would get the tickets 24 hours before the game. Stated working with customer service at 9 am for a 7pm game. Was assured that I would have my tickets or similar tickets before game time. We had traveled from Boston so it was stressful especially as it got closer. Got to Sanford Stadium, still getting jerked around. Fifteen minutes before game time I was told they dropped the ball on my tickets and there were no tickets. They knew about my disabled friend's situation and told me they could care less about veterans or the fact that he was an amputee. Seat geeks is an unreliable uncaring incompetent company. They are also liars and con men. Needless to say my friend's Veterans Day and our trip down from boston was a complete disaster. Do not use this company under any circumstances. I've contacted a lawyer and hope to hold these horrible people responsible.
Go on the BBB better business bureau for an accurate rating. The bbb gave seatgeeks an F and seatgeeks is not accredited. Read the customer reviews on the BBB site. It will confirm they are a scam company.
Tip for consumers:
they never delivered my tickets despite having my money for 2 months. go on the BBB website. seatggeks has an F rating and is not accredited. the reviews are real and you will see seatgeeks is a scam company,do not use unless you want to get ripped off !!

Very disappointing!
Potential FRAUD? Don't use RateYourSeats to purchase tickets! I purchased tickets last night to a concert using this company (in hopes to surprise my wife since she likes this particular singer); It sent me a link via text to my phone. When I hit the link it sent me to SeatGeek.com to get the tickets. Then it asked me to sign-in or register with SeatGeek; So I did and it let me in (so far so good), but then and it came back stating, "This Transfer was declined." What the heck? So, I downloaded the SeatGeek App, and logged-in; it let me in as well. The app showed me I have two tickets to accept, so I did, and it stated, "Failed to Accept Tickets." I tried using the PC to log-in to SeatGeek.com instead of the phone, and it let me in, but then that stated, "Cannot accept transfer, please verify your account to accept this ticket." I did that and logged in multiple times, and it let me in each time, but to no avail. I then called the help line *******569, but, someone from another planet answered the call and did their very best to go round in circles to tire you into frustration (as trained to do so). Bottom line the individual supervisor with the heavy accent stated he could not help and could not refund my money; Go figure! I had to call the credit card company to report this as a potential fraud and dispute this ordeal. Are all these "ticket RESALE" companies are bogus? There should be a law against these types of transactions.
I priced tickets for an event and Seat Geek was in the middle. An hour or so later I received a 15% off promo code if I bought within 7 days. Interesting how the ticket cost went up to counter the discount. Crooked for sure. And tickets did not go up in price at any other websites!

On Sunday, ordered tickets for Tuesday practice round for Ryder Cup. "next day service" was not fulfilled. When calling the help line, never was able to talk with a live person, despite LONG wait times.
Email after the event and again recently, no response.
Tried to have credit card company work on my behalf but Seat Geek didn't respond to it either.
So my wife & daughter purchased tickets this past April for last night's Harry Styles Chicago concert. Price for the two tickets and service fees were $943 and change. I told her she was out of her mind! My wife says "I don't know how much time I have left, my cancer could come back anytime, This is about making memories for a lifetime with our daughter!" I said "Buy the tickets!" Upon arriving they were told their tickets were not valid because someone had already entered using them. At the box office they were told it appears the seller had sold them multiple times on various sites. Do they not have some way of verifying tickets are on the level? This is upsetting on so many levels especially seeing as there apparently are no refunds thru Seat Geek. We have contacted them thru their website, and seek a full refund and for Seat Geek to go after the seller.
Tip for consumers:
Do not use Seat Geek!

Bought a $300 ticket for a Dead and Company concert 3 weeks prior to show. Never received it nor my money back. Dozens of emails and phone calls leading up to the event all of which did nothing but run me around in circles and make excuses. Since then they will not respond to emails and have been left on hold with customer service for over 2 hours on 2 different occasions. Am now having to dispute charges with my credit card company - worst customer service experience ever!

My husband purchased a parking pass from you late in the day on Friday, November 17th. We attended a Penn State football game. After we arrived at our designated parking lot, we were told quite rudely told this pass is no good. We showed the "supervisor" at the lot that we had a barcode. Once we made arrangements to get the pass printed, he then said they will NOT accept it. That pass cost $200+!
Seriously, how were we able to purchase a bogus pass from your company? Is this a scam? Needless to say, we were extremely livid and will NEVER use your services again. I will tell everyone how horrible your customer service is.
Your phone number is out of service. Your corporate phone # is always busy. And you have NOT responded to my husband's email.
Tip for consumers:
If Seatgeek is reputable, why wouldn’t they contact us back to resolve this issue?

We purchased tickets the cowboys game and then attempted to get a parking pass. The first attempt an error message popped up and said the spots were no longer available. So I looked for other spots. After securing those spots, the next day I saw my credit card had been charged for both spots. I immediately tried to contact swat geek but to no avail. They don't respond to your emails at all. Now I am having to go through my credit card company to try to get our money back. I am not surprised, another company focused on profits and not the people! Will not be using them again!

Show I booked and paid for cancelled along with rest of tour. Easy enough, right. Money back for show that didn't happen? Nope. "All sales final." Of course that was after the cancellation. All that BS on their website about guarantees and cancel at any time is just a lie. Ironically the venue also emailed me news of the cancellation and told me to contact point of sale for full refund. Bye Bye $600. I've emailed and called so many times that I'm just going to give up and do my best to inform everyone what a crook SeatGeek is.
Tip for consumers:
DO NOT USE SEATGEEK
You have to understand thier return policy before you purchase. Its obvious that you can't return them for a refund of any kind, just a promo code that expires in 1 year. But if you want to re-coop you money, you have to sell the tickets on either thier platform or another. Unfortunately, they sell E-tickets with a revolving QR code, which cannot be resold anywhere. Very shady practice. I would have loved to learn this before spending $740. I will not be purchasing tickets from seat geek, and would happily spend a premium with another platform. Frances D (the live chat support) was very helpful.
I purchased tickets only to find out that the already incredible fee was per ticket ($100 for a $300 ticket). I had no intention of paying $100 fee per ticket and I informed them as such within minutes of the transaction. After many emails and phone calls, SeatGeek refused to refund my money or offer any solution. Their "solution" is to suggest I sell the tickets again, on which they will get fees on that sale, and so on, and so on. I threw away so much money and they would rather be greedy than make a happy customer who could return to use their service again. Bad business. Don't buy!
