After pressing the buy option for 2 theater tickets, Seat Geek sent back an ambiguous message saying the transaction may not have gone through and that I should check my email. When I checked my email there was no confirmation from Seat Geek. Presuming that the transaction had failed, I ordered 2 more tickets. A minute later two email confirms arrived for 2 tickets each. I contacted Seat Geek's customer service immediately; they told me that all ticket sales were final, and that I should attempt to sell the tickets through their service. When I failed to get them to reconsider, I attempted to offer the 2 extra tickets for sale at a loss, but their service said they were ineligible! I don't often feel like a chump, but I did after dealing with them. 3 days later, Fernando from their customer service emailed to say they had secured a refund from the box office. After it was credited, I altered the review from 1 star to 4 stars. Walter Masterson
I purchased tickets from Seat Geek to Sabrina Carpenter two months prior to the show. I received the tickets via email and added them to my Ticketmaster account. Three hours prior to the concert I got a notification from Ticketmaster that the tickets were invalid. Seat Geek customer service was useless and we were unable to attend the show. I've now spent 18 days communicating with seat geek via email and phone in which I'm continually told their team is working on it. I'm out over $700 and this company has made no attempts to refund me despite their buyer guarantee. Horribly incompetent customer service, would never trust to buy from them again.
I have used SeatGeek for a few ticket purchase and have always gotten a better deal than friend who attended the same shows but used another ticket app. Never had any issues with using the tickets like I had with other sites.
Poor customer service. Purchased tickets through the seatgeek site, they delivered the tickets in another app (ticketmaster) and refused to refund or help or do anything once I realized they sent the wrong tickets. On the same note, ticketmaster refused to help since the tickets came from seatgeek. Seems like they mutually benefited from this inter-company transaction, and neither company was willing to work with me AT ALL. Seems shady all around.
Bought ridiculously cheap tickets from this site for a Norah Jones concert. Found tickets 3 days before the event after being directed to the site by an acquaintance. Paid 1/3 of what the venue charged. I'm sure that price was because of the proximity of the concert dates and the seats had not been sold. Scored 3rd row center seats! Easy peasy process. I don't know what hassles the other reviewers experienced, but my experience was excellent!
I highly recommend not to use this company.
StubHub and Ticketmaster are far better. I got the worst service ever and was lied to repeatedly. I purchased a ticket on 9 Oct for an event on the 22 of Oct. I never got my ticket. After 15 emails back and forth and at least 6 phone calls I got fed up and demanded a refund that I haven't received yet. I was told I would have it so many times I knew it was a lie before they even said it. I have email proof where I was told I would get it and it was a lie. I was told we would call you back in 4-5 hours never to get a call back. It was terrible. I went on Ticketmaster and got my ticket within 5 minutes. Seat geek is trash and i will not use it again. Deleted that app immediately. Now I want my refund. DO NOT USE THEM.
I wish there was an option for Zero Stars.
Great idea, poor execution. Basically a kayak.com for tickets in the secondary market. Unfortunately it doesn't really work - I tried to search for Book of Morman tickets and the search engine only showed 3 dates for the next month, whereas a quick check with stubhub shows there are secondary markets for all dates.

They say you get a refund if the game is cancelled. My purchase game was cancelled. The team box office will not honor my tix for another game therefore rendering mine useless. After email snubs and a call with a agent who wouldn't even give me seatgeek credit, has taken money for a service not delivered. She tried to talk around my issue and reference company policy. Which is in my favor according to what the stipulations are. I provided documentation and a chance for them to provide "Customer Service" so I have useless tickets and no recompense?! Sounds like a scam to me.
Hello Mike, this definitely sounds like there might be some confusion here. Without having your exact order number, it's hard to provide completely accurate information. However, going from the information you've provided, it sounds like these might be tickets to a rained out MLB game that you're referring to. As SeatGeek is the secondary market, our sellers don't always have the option to provide refunds for exchanged games. For instance, if the original tickets are valid for the postponed game (regardless of the reschedule date) the seller will not be able to offer a refund. In the event that the game was cancelled and not rescheduled, or the game was rescheduled and the original tickets are not valid for the rescheduled date, we can definitely reach out to the seller to request a refund. The exact policy regarding refunds and exchanged differs depending on the specific team policy for each game, and there can be many different scenarios that need to be considered. If your game was cancelled and not rescheduled or your tickets were invalid for the rescheduled game, please send us an email to hi@seatgeek.com so we can ensure this is looked into for you. Thank you.
I have been very satisfied with seatgeeks very prompt service. Tickets as soon as they are confirmed are sent right to my phone and super easy to access to get into the games. Will definitely be using seatgeek again for tickets.
I learned about seatgeek from the Bill Simmons podcast so I have tried it twice. The switching from seatgeek to AXS was annoying the first time but I understand why it happens.
This time the tickets showed up quickly, but when I transferred them they never arrived at their destination. I think the issue is with AXS, but I think they are one of your partners, right?
Best case is to have one app that can do it all.
I purchased 2 different orders of the highest rated tickets SeatGeek rated only to receive an email the next day from the seller notifying me that they couldn't fulfill my orders. When I called the seller (not SeatGeek, despite purchasing it through their platform) they told me that their supplier had already sold the tickets, or simply chose not to fill the order.
Extremely poor user experience - I'll stick to stubhub.
Hi Larry,
We're really sorry to hear you've had this frustrating experience with a purchase you made on SeatGeek! We know it's important that you have total confidence in any purchase you make on our site, and in any case that any of our sellers can't provide the tickets you ordered-- for any reason-- they're required to provide you with upgraded or equivalent tickets, or a refund at 120% of what you paid. Looking into the purchase you cite above, I don't see any notes about the seller being unable to provide your tickets, which is aberrant; any seller of ours that is unable to fulfill the order as listed is required to go through us to get a resolution with the customer. If this hasn't been the case, then we definitely need to follow up with both you and this seller to make sure you're taken care of.
There are several things we would love to discuss with you regarding this situation to make sure we get you taken care of as quickly and completely as possible. We're going to send you a private message for more details, but rest assured, we definitely hear you, and want to make sure this gets taken care of and figured out ASAP.

It was easy to purchase tickets to the match using the SeatGeek App. We were able to get good seats at a reasonable price. Sadly, the Thorns ended up in a draw... can SeatGeek guarantee a win next time?
This was my first time buying tickets from SeatGeek. It was actually really easy, and I noticed that the seats were actually cheaper than other sites. So easy having the tickets on my phone. Will definitely will purchase again
I had terrible experience as bar code was not seen in the email. I bought ticket from seatgeek website using my computer. I got confirmation code, seat number in email. But security person did not allow me to enter as the email did not have bar code. I had to download app, sign up and even providing correct password did not work in seatgeek app. Although, i reached to gate before match started but as i had to go through all the hassles, I and my family reached to the seat after the first half of match was over. Just wondering - why they just sent confirmation code, seat number but no bar code in email?
I use seat geek primarily for ticket buying and selling. I love the interface, for buying I'd give it a 4, only issue is sometimes games freeze up due to delays or rainouts or other issues.
For selling, Seatgeek makes it easy to resell tickets, but the 20% fee is insane. Stubhub, well known as the biggest in the business, is only 15%. Tickpick is 10%. Many times I buy on seatgeek, and sell on one of these to save myself money. That's gotta come down to match them at least. Also, again with rainouts or other issues, tickets freeze sometimes. Overall a 2 for selling, but severly because of the crazy fees.
They do not confirm that sellers have the tickets. Sellers can sell you tickets and have you waiting to receive them. You will receive an email saying sellers has sent your tickets. Check your, email, spam ect. Then when you notify seatgeek the tickets where never sent... well good luck. Meanwhile the seller waits to see if the tickets increase in value. If they increase they will cancel your purchase the day before the event leaving you ticketless and back looking for tickets 24 hours before the event. All seatgeek does is refund money and that takes 7-10 days so when you do find other tickets you have to have extra money to pay while money is refunded. Nightmare! Use stubhub or vivid. Seatgeek is a trash company.

Site works well and you can see the stadium availability quickly. Also with the price and fees upfront it's much easier to compare prices. Then after deciding it's very easy to purchase and redeem the tickets.
Kind of a pain of a process to resell tickets. Big thing is watch when buying so called parking passes for the event. Through seatgeek we were told needed to buy parking pass. We did so at a cost just over $200. Ouch when we arrived at the event. The cost for parking at the location we prepaid for was $30... so at the very least contact the garage or area before paying such a ridiculous amount. Lesson learned on my end
Tip for consumers:
double check before you buy on parking passes. way over inflated

Was fast and very user friendly. Went out of town wanted to attend a MLB game was able to find great lar minute tickets. They were downloaded to phone and had no issues at gate. Entire transaction was very smooth and a great experience.
Really didn't like going through all the hoops to try to get my tickets. I've used you 3 times now and it been 3 different experiences. The last was the worst. Just let me use one account with one app to use my tickets.
Everything works really well and its easy to find good deals. My new favorite ticketing app!
Its nice to have everything in one place. I often check back daily to see if any deals have changed. I tell all my friends about the app!
They suck. Bought tickets to a Dallas Stars game and never got my tickets. Live chatted with 3 people to get my money back and still haven't gotten a refund. Its been a month since I bought the tickets. It was just a scam.
Tip for consumers:
Don't use this site.

Daughter bought her Dad two tixs to see Rams/Broncos at LA Coliseum. Upon arrival our one ticket scanned fine but security said other tix was at the moment, being sold on line (after it was already paid for). What a hassle. Security took our phone in the back room, looked through it, and wouldn't honor tix because it was being resold on line. Luckily, the Coliseum was nice and gave us two new tickets. Could you imagine if it was playoffs? We wouldn't have gotten in. I will never use SeatGeek
Bought some tickets for a Temple football game against UConn and the seats were amazing. Little did I know that they came with a full Buffet. Although they were not showing as a great value they ended up being an amazing value. Pleasantly surprised
I made a last min purchase, wanted to go out and have some fun with my 9yr old. Lost the game but it was nice to have that option. Not to mention the seats. Super good seats for the price and on short notice.
My son purchased 2 tickets to the Justin Bieber concert on March17th
2020 from seat geek $644.48. The concert was postponed several times and finally canceled by Justin Bieber via CNN and other news outlets. Multiple attempts to obtain a refund have failed even after emailing on March 1st 2023 with Gabriella from Seatgeek customer service, who promised a full refund with one to two weeks. Three months have elapsed since then and still no refund!
Seatgeek sold me very obviously fake tickets. It is scary that they have no validation process, mine had been photoshopped. It was a sold-out concert (which is when you would expect fraud to happen most often, obviously) and they had no tickets available so I could not get in without paying 3 times as much, which they have no way of reimbursing you for. They need to be more diligent about ticket review and reserve pools of tickets for sold out shows to ensure their customers get in. Refunds dont matter if the show is sold out and I am already there.
SeatGeek is the Web's largest event ticket search engine. Discover events you love, search all ticket sites, see seat locations and get the best deals on tickets.
Hi Jake,
I wanted to make sure I got in touch with you regarding this review. I've taken a closer look at your case and I definitely understand your frustration here, but I'd like to explain why things happened this way.
After placing your order with us on 1/6/2020 you reached out via email admitting that you had "accidentally purchased tickets for the wrong day" and asking for a cancellation. This wasn't a situation where we sent the incorrect tickets your way, and in the rare event that a system error causes issues with an order our users would be protected by our Buyer Guarantee.
Though we can sympathize with the mistake, and understand how easy it is to see "Vegas Golden Knights at Montreal Canadiens" and assume that the Knights were hosting, SeatGeek is a platform that connects buyers with ticket sellers. We don't hold inventory, so once an order is submitted to a vendor, we are unable to refund, cancel, or exchange it. The vendors we list also have a general policy that all sales are final.
I appreciate the promptness of your initial outreach. Because you noticed your error quickly, you could have listed the tickets for resale to try to recoup your money on this order. We would have been happy to walk you through that process to help you explore every option. Check out our Help Center article for more information: https://support.seatgeek.com/hc/en-us/articles/360007200094-Can-I-get-a-refund-or-cancel-my-order-
Please let me know if you have any questions and I'd be happy to address them with you.
Best wishes,
