I've been a member since they started. The prices on high-quality items are often better than driving 100 miles round trip to a health food grocer (the closest one near me). I love having the option to help others in need at checkout. I'm glad they are weathering the COVID crisis as best they can and are still operational. I can't get the items I buy at my local store. I especially love the Grab Green Stoneworks laundry pods -- I've eliminated SO MUCH PLASTIC! I recently decided to give Thrive Market a try and signed up for a membership, hoping to find affordable options for my household needs. However, my experience left me quite disappointed, and here's why:
My membership with Thrive Market lasted less than 3 minutes. The prices I encountered were, in my opinion, outrageous when compared to the local options in my area. This significant price discrepancy made it impractical for me to continue using their services.
I reached out to their customer support via the Chat feature and had a conversation with a representative named John. I explained my concerns and my wish to cancel my membership and obtain a refund for the $12 I had paid.
Regrettably, John cited company policy as the reason for denying my refund request, despite my extremely short membership period and my clear dissatisfaction. This left me disappointed with their customer service and the lack of flexibility to accommodate individual circumstances.
In response, I expressed my intention to share my experience with my closest friends on social media. While I respect policies, I believe that exceptional customer service should consider individual satisfaction and strive to resolve issues.
It's important to note that Thrive Market may offer competitive pricing in some regions, like California, but it seems that this doesn't hold true for all areas, including mine. This significant price difference compared to local alternatives made me reconsider my membership.
My brief interaction with John left me with the impression that Thrive Market heavily relies on its membership fees, which, in my view, should be balanced with ensuring a satisfactory experience for all members.
In summary, my experience with Thrive Market was marked by brief membership, high prices, and unhelpful customer service. I hope the company takes this feedback into consideration to improve its services.

We live on the East Coast and have been Thrive Market members for about 2 years. Overall, we have been satisfied with Thrive Market. After reading the nasty negative reviews, we respectfully disagree with most of what is posted. It sounds like many of these people who have posted negative reviews are hard to please anyway. This company many not be 100% perfect but they have very good customer service and correct the mistakes they make. The company offers good foods at fair prices, and packs them very well with excellent cushioning for shipping. Most orders arrive in just a few days, securely packed and taped. We like the convenience, and 95% of the foods we have bought taste great arrived in clean & very good condition. Away with all those negative posts - don't believe them. It is important to remember that packages (ALL PACKAGES) can get damaged in transit, and sometimes the delivery drivers do not handle packages with consideration and care. This is not Thrive Market's fault, okay? So all you negative folks out there, don't be too hasty to give a nasty review when it is the shipping carrier you should be calling. Thrive Market is definitely NOT a scam. We give Thrive Market a solid review of 5 stars and we are happy with our purchases and our service. Good job Thrive Market and keep up the good work! We plan to continue ordering from your company. We totally disregard these negative reviews.

I cancelled my free trial 2 days prior to the end of the trial. I have an email confirmation of my cancellation. And yet they still charged me NOT ONCE BUT TWICE for a subscription I cancelled PRIOR TO FREE TRIAL EXPIRATION. Do not give these scammers your credit card info unless you are prepared to pay their annual subscription in perpetuity. They cannot be trusted, no matter how great the service seems.

At first, when signing up you are mislead to believe that a membership for $5 a month for the year... NOWHERE does it say that they are going to charge $59.95 for the year... JUST LOOK FOR YOURSELF... deceptive greedy scam.

The membership is what allows us to offer the best natural products at 25-50% off retail and pass the savings on to you.
I know most of the complaints of this company are from people who tried to cancel their trial membership. I have not tried to do that because I love the company and the products they sell. I live in a rural area with only limited choices of stores in which to shop and I have multiple food allergies. Thrive saves me multiple trips to the closest Whole Foods and Trader Joes, which are located 2 hours a way. I find Thrive very convenient since they ship right to my door. It does take about a week to receive my order but it would take that long for me to find the time to travel 4 hours round trip to get what I need. I never have a problem ordering over $49 so the shipping is free. The prices are cheaper than Whole Foods so if you buy a lot of your food there, you'll likely save money. They also have frequent promotions that include 20-30% off specific brands, which I have used and save money on items we use everyday, like Lara Bars. The Thrive Brand is very good too and they offer cash back on each item you buy. For me the cost of membership has been well worth it. My advice is look on their website and if you use a lot of the items they carry, you'll probably save money over the course of a year, plus gas and time at the store. If you don't use many of the items you find on the website, don't bother with the trial membership because it'll likely be a hassle for you and it won't save you money. Overall, I've been very happy with Thrive and I'm glad I disregarded all the negative reviews and finally gave it a try.

I ordered about $70 worth of items fromThrive and I never received them. Customer service wasn't helpful at all in retrieving the items and I was still charged for nothing! Canceling my membership was a nightmare! STAY FAR AWAY, seriously!
