I love Thrive Market & am so grateful that I got turned onto this great place. I have learned a valuable lesson during this whole COVID-19... that I need to have MORE patience. I have not been able to get things from my local stores for a while now & since this whole virus thing has now hit my area, I feel so much better that I do not have to go out in public to expose myself & my family. Thrive Market is doing their best to accommodate during this crisis & in NO way trying to get over on the public like so many others are. I thank GOD for Thrive Market & highly recommend them to anyone who wants the REAL DEAL.

I got some "free" chocolate in August of 2016 and paid a $1.95 shipping charge on my VISA card. Today, I discovered that I had a fee on my credit card for a $59.95 annual membership fee. Further investigation showed that they also charged me $59.95 last October. I have now paid them $120 for nothing. It seems that there was some fine print that by getting the chocolate, I was instituting a 30 day trial membership and if I did not cancel, I would be charged their fee. No one seems to care that I have never ordered anything during my two alleged memberships. They claim that I got email notices which I did not. Visa is crediting me for the recent "membership" charge, but that free chocolate from 2016 cost me $59.95. I contacted them and although I was able to get the recent charge removed, they couldn't care less about the fee they charged me last year for nothing.
When the company read my issue they were incredibly responsive and although the initially refunded my recent charge, they also went back to 2016 and refunded my unused membership fee. Now that is very responsive and caring customer service!

Hi Sandy- As a membership-based company, we offer a 30-day free trial that begins with the first Thrive Market purchase. After the trial, we charge the annual fee for our services, as noted in the policy on the checkout page. We also send trial members an email reminder a few days before the membership is activated. I apologize if this was not your experience. It is not uncommon for customer's to find those emails in their spam. We will be contacting you privately to take a deeper look into what may have occurred with your account.
I have been a customer for several years, always happy with the service and products. After moving across the country, I updated my address book and went to place my order, only to get alert after alert saying that a product is not available "in my area." Um, what? It's being shipped from one place... why can I get mayonnaise but not jelly? And why, Thrive, do you tell me what's not available in such a tedious manner? I hit Place Order, get a message saying I need to remove something that's "not available in your area." I do so, then have to put my address in again... just to get another error message saying to remove something else, give my address AGAIN... repeat for another dozen items. For the love of sanity, can't you tell me what's "not available" all at once? I was this close to closing the site and walking away. If it weren't for my dogs needing their chew sticks, you would have one less order to fill today.
The person I contacted via Chat blamed it all on Covid-19, but I don't see how that makes your website so tedious to work with. Hoping it gets better in the future, because some of the products and prices can't be beat.

I was a VERY happy Thrive Market customer for a while. But then everything changed when COVID19 hit. I understand the shipping delays and low stock, but every time I go on the website, they are either closed for new orders, and/or everything I order is out of stock. You go on social media, and see they're still advertising their free trial membership. WHY are you accepting new members (who aren't even paying and just cancel the trial anyway) and advertising people to try this service when you cannot even timely fulfill orders for your PAYING members? Instead of closing down ordering, why not close down taking on new memberships? Or only let people who have actually paid the $60 yearly membership fee place orders, not those with free/trial memberships? It gets frustrating. And now seeing that my recent order will be taking 1-2 weeks to even ship, let alone the not-so-quick delivery time.
I was very content with Thrive for a while now. It was easy to filter items by my specific dietary restrictions, instead of going to Whole Foods and reading labels/using Google for every item I see. I liked the free samples and gift items, but that clearly is not even a thing anymore. But it just isn't worth the hassle and I am strongly considering cancelling before my membership period ends. I'd rather not pay $60 a year and pay a bit more in item costs to get comparable products at Whole Foods same day, instead of waiting weeks for an order, if you can even place an order at all.

I placed two orders (one was food and one was for wine- I did them separately so the food could be delivered when I wasn't home) WITHIN the same 24 hours I went online to check if the orders had been processed and I got a notification that something I had previously purchased was on sale. My order contained 8 different Kettle & Fire bone broths and they were all now each $2 off- that's nearly $15 in savings! So I contacted their "customer service" and they responded with a SMILEY FACE and that "they couldn't do anything"... I couldn't return the order because it had been shipped when they finally got back to me (over 24 hours later), they wouldn't credit my account, and they wouldn't give a partial refund. I am flawed at their response and their "policies".

I wouldn't waste the money. You can't see their products until you sign up and pay money. Trust me, you can find better product selection and better prices at other places.
