If you read all their replies to the people who complain about their scam refund they say the annual payment can be refunded for 30 days and the monthly can be canceled at any time. THAT MEANS THEY WILL NOT REFUND YOUR MONTHLY PAYMENT.
So I signup for a month to get a product they show as being in stock at a deep discount and then it turns out its out of stock and I try to get a refund 10 minutes later and they deny it. Total crap policy and the way they keep responding to everyone with this misleading "cancel at any time" crap is infuriating.
Tip for consumers:
Get the annual plan and and cancel after your purchase to get the refund.

I saw a product at deep discount so I signed up for the 1 month non refundable membership only to see that the product was not available when I tried to buy it and they will not refund the membership. This is a scam to get you to signup. Google recently updated policies to prohibit this type of behavior.
I had to do a charge back through my credit card company to get the money back because they refused to refund me. Don't fall for hard to find items with a low price on this site.

Did the trial, wasn't impressed, cancelled. No charges for three years and then all of a sudden I see a charge today... 3 YEARS LATER! Makes no sense. After talking to a rep through chat, I get no apology and a sales pitch to keep my membership... THAT I NEVER SIGNED UP FOR AND WAS RANDOMLY CHARGED FOR.

They billed my cc 1 full year after I canceled.
I got some "free" chocolate last year and paid a $1.95 shipping charge on my CC card. Today, I discovered that I had a fee on my credit card for a $59.95 annual membership fee. AND Further investigation showed that they also charged me $59.95 last year! I have now paid them $120.00 for nothing. It seems that there was some fine print that by getting the chocolate, I was instituting a 30 day trial membership and if I did not cancel, I would be charged their fee. No one seems to care that I have never ordered anything during my two alleged memberships. They claim that I got email notices which I did not. They are crediting me for the recent "membership" charge, but that free chocolate from 2016 cost me $59.95. I contacted them and although I was able to get the recent charge removed, they couldn't care less about the fee they charged me last year for nothing. Thrive has a great concept and then they blow it by referring you "to the fine print". Does this sound like a company that you want to get involved with?!

After the trial, we charge the annual fee for our services, as noted in the policy on the checkout page. We also send trial members an email reminder a few days before the membership is activated. Good value for priducts I use regularly. I love the Thrive Market brand olive oil. It tastes very fresh. I like the convenience of ordering from Thrive. Items arrive quickly.

I cook organic, 90% plant based, prefer to prepare legumes etc. from dry, was looking for a much wider selection of whole grains and flours. May stick with it, but Amazon Prime is easier.

This site is like if Fresh Market were a warehouse club that delivers. Pricey. Yet tempting, maybe, if you're not close to anything like that.
It offers a tempting "free trial," as well. Sign up and get a super deal (mine was organic almond butter for $2 delivered). Cancel within three months and no membership fee is charged.
The site doesn't allow one to cancel, however. Instead, the cancel button gets you a message informing you that you will be contacted by customer service within 24 hours.
At which point, I'm annoyed by the unnecessary complication and a bit weary of the questionable business ethics implied by it.
Turns out, I had good reason to be. The message from "Darbrielle (Member Services)" was the pitch for reduced services at a reduced rate that I was expecting at this point, so I politely thanked her, declined, and asked to be "immediately" canceled.
Astonishingly, that still did not happen. Instead, I received a second email reiterating the previous offer, or otherwise demanding what is, by now, my *third* cancellation request.
It took me a couple of days to draft a response which did not include profanity. The terse reply finally relented, adding that, "If you do decide to shop with us again, please note that the nonrefundable membership fee will be charged the day after you place your order." Yeah. That's not gonna happen.
I can't even imagine what hoops these folks might have in store for someone with billing or delivery mistakes, but I urge you to never find out.

Today June 28,2020 I became a member of the Thrive Market and unfortunately, all the things I needed to buy were out stock. Not happy about it.

Good prices, easy to find what you are looking for depending on what you like. Ie shop paleo, vegan, cruelty free... instead of having to investigate it! They do the work for you.
