I have been doing business with Thrive for several years now and have never had a bad experience.
Even in this chaotic time it is clear that they are doing their best to take care of all their customers. Prices have remained steady and they have kept customers informed about stocking issues, shipping delays, etc.
Their integrity is very evident at all times but shines now, especially in the way they placed purchase limits on items so that more customers were able to receive products rather than allowing hoarding to happen on their site.
Some of us who have allergies or special dietary needs know through personal experience how difficult it can be to obtain safe foods at a food bank or relief agency. They are simply not equipped to handle those situations, through no fault of their own. Thrive has always provided help to those in need and has also made it possible for customers to voluntarily donate their savings on each order to those who need help, from a very modest amount to the entire savings. However they have increased the level of their help in this crisis, not only a corporate level, but also personally.
In my experience, Thrive does what is right for all. They step up to the plate to help others as needed on a routine basis, not just during a crisis. It truly is a "better market."
I appreciate being able to do my shopping with them for many reasons - most of which have nothing to do with the savings I experience.

I joined Thrive October 15th. I've made two orders since. The first came quickly in sustainable packaging. There are a lot of options, but since I eat a lot of produce, I have to go to the grocery anyway. I'm only purchasing for one person, so I wouldn't order more than one box a month. If you eat more prepared meals this shouldn't be a problem. I canceled my membership today. I see reviews claiming their marketing is deceptive or a scam, but it was easy to cancel and I already received a notification from PayPal that I have been refunded the full membership amount. So no risk in trying!

We're so sorry to see you go but we appreciate you sharing your experience. Thanks, May, we'd love to see you in the future!
I had a nightmare order. I received a defective product, which I was credited a thrive credit. I then placed another order using my credit + bigger $ order, only to have my order cancelled due to me accidentally create another email idental to my email exception without the.(dot) not sure where or how they come up with that. Anyway, that was alot of my time wasted over a $10 credit.

Hi Vivian- We apologize for this experience! We'll be reaching out via private message to see what we can do to help!
I went through THREE agents before they tried shoving me on a forth agent. All I wanted to do was CANCEL MY GODDAMN AUTOMATIC RENEWAL. I used it ONCE in August 2019. Than in August 2020 I wake up to a $60 charge and auto renewal. I spent almost an hour chatting with customer service and 4 different agents to have it NOT CANCELLED. So now I have to make a dispute with my credit card company because these leeches won't let me freaking go and it's beyond frustrating. Gave all 3 my details to cancel, it goes silent than I'm back in the queue for the next available agent.

I understand that things changed very quickly for everyone with the COVID19, including small and large businesses. However, I am thankful for Thrive and how they have been so diligent with their communicating with their customer regarding the difficulties that they have experienced with the overload of families ordering online now. Thank you Thrive!

Thank you for your review and patience! We're happy you've found out updates on our site and through emails helpful.
I really enjoy thrive products, that is, if they ever make it to my door! 4 times now I have had overfilled boxes that have broken in transit. Some I was notified about in a timely manner, others had no communication. One was also a terrible repackage with broken, damaged and wet items. I was told to order in separate boxes so they wouldn't be so heavy. I find that an inconvenience and a waste of my time. I am not satisfied with the resolutions of 10 Thrive bucks as I had to spend more money to backfill the items that I was waiting for from Thrive.
Date of experience: February 23, 2020
Thank you for your feedback! We always want to notify members if orders are experiencing issues in transit which we receive from our couriers. Unfortunately, sometimes the information sent over is not complete and we cannot let members know of issues that occurred. We're always trying to improve on this communication with our couriers to improve our members' experience. Keep on Thriving!
They sneak-in a membership fee, then SURPRISE, two months later, after the hidden 30 day trial membership expires, a charge of $59.95 will show-up on your credit card statement... SURPISE! Then, when you try to cancel and get a refund of the $59.95 they are STINGY and say, oops, sorry, you only have 30 days to cancel. Worst customer care I've ever experienced. STAY AWAY from this company.
Tip for consumers:
stay away

Thank you for your feedback, John. We are sorry for any misunderstanding of our membership model. We offer a 30-day free trial that begins with your first purchase. After the trial, we charge the annual fee of $59.95 for our services, as noted in the policy on the checkout page. While previous membership fees are nonrefundable, upcoming renewals can be canceled at any time. Our Member Services team would be happy to answer any other questions you have about your membership via 24/7 online chat.
Thrive is a wonderful company to order from. I know that I have been ordering more than 2 years and I am always surprised to see new items. Could use better search organization.

Thanks for sharing! We're so happy to have members like you, Sharon!
Placed an order of tea bags and apple cider vinegar. Came home to wet box, all ACV broken and 85% of tea bags wet. I called customer service and was only reimbursedo for the ACV and not the tea bags. The tea bags are useless since they're wet and went in the trash. Cancelled my membership afterwards.

Half the items in my cart couldn't be shipped to my address. I live in a house in Ypsilanti, not in the Grand Canyon. I didn't think the prices were very reasonable. I'll probably be cancelling my subscription before the 30 days are up-it's not worth it.
Date of experience: June 19, 2020
Thanks for your feedback, Melanie! We're so sorry that items from your cart went out of stock, you can always sign up for reminders when they come back in stock. We also offer price matching so you can let us know if you find any items elsewhere for a lower price and we will make it right!
I LOVE Thrive Market! I go into stores in NYC and see the same products for sale and they are always cheaper on Thrive. I know the products I am getting are exactly what I want for a better price. I will always be a member!

Thank you for your review! Thrive On!
I really appreciate the variety of natural and organic products that Thrive carries. And during COVID-19, Thrive has really come through with on-time delivery and rapid restocking of products. I also appreciate the plastic-free shipping materials.

Thank you for your review and your patience during this time!
Thrive is great for the community and has decreased the paper by not including the inventory. Though the packing paper is great, the THRIVE products are all in nonrecyclable plastic one use only packaging. Please suspend your use of plastics.
Additionally the Kosher certification for the beef and porcine broth is bogus. Porcine is pork and that is not kosher ever, no matter waht form it takes and the beef broth is certified by the same organization. Once an organization certifies one item then their reputation and methodology is expected to be the same for all the items which they certify. Thank you for your consideration.
Date of experience: August 25, 2020
Thanks for your feedback! Breakable items are always packaged in reusable plastic zip bags to prevent damage to other products in transit. Our Member Services team would love to look into your Kosher certification inquiry if you can let us know which product(s) you are referring to.
I was amazed by this websites ability to intuitively know what I may like and not like
I was especially excited to try Charlotte's Web as a bonus. I don't know how they would
Know that I need to try a pain alternative?
Date of experience: June 7, 2020
Awesome, Adrienne! Charlotte's Web is a popular choice when it comes to pain management alternatives!
I almost solely buy eco friendly products and have many brands I like. It was hard to find the brands I wanted and things I know I enjoyed. The prices are comparable to our local co-op with some things costing more and some less. Many mnay things were out of stock so I would have to check repeatedly or still get them from the store. Often it looked like something was in stock but when you clicked it would tell you it wasn't. Lastly at checkout it said something I wanted couldn't be shipped to me. This was totally a waste.
Date of experience: April 13, 2020
Thank you for your feedback! During this time we are experiencing higher than normal restocking times and rates but we are all working diligently to ensure we're getting products as soon as we can.
Like other reviews, the automatic 30 day membership wasn't apparent. Still on looking at the email I got about the membership, it said I could cancel my membership. I emailed Thrive telling them I wanted to cancel the membership.
I got an email back from Thrive, saying that they were sorry to hear I was considering canceling my membership and they signed me up for six months at a reduced rate. I had been clear I wanted to cancel the membership before the 30 days I was up. I am getting the run around.
Date of experience: November 16, 2017
Hi Susan- I apologize that this came as a surprise. As a membership-based company, we offer a 30-day free trial that begins with the first Thrive Market purchase. After the trial, we charge the annual fee for our services, as noted in the policy on the checkout page. Because we want everyone to have the option to purchase healthy products, we do offer alternatives to the membership. We'll be sending you a private message to discuss your account further.
I was planning to be a regular customer with the comoany because of all the great products they have, until they charged me a hidden membership fee. There was no indication that I was being charged a fee at check out, and the sneaky bastards charged me separately on a different day so I wouldnt notice. Thank God my husband always checks the account or else I wouldn't have caught it. When I called to cancel the membership fee, the customer representative put me on hold twice for a hundred years, pretending like she was trying to help me by speaking to her supervisor. After I expressed my frustration, she then offered to reimburse me $30 of the $65 that was stolen from me. Are you kidding me? How can you offer to refund me half of my own friggin money which was stolen by the way? This company sucks balls. They have lost my service forever. Buyer beware.
Date of experience: February 21, 2017
Complete scam. On two occassions, I placed orders over $49 using the code 'bd20x3'. This supposedly discounts $20 from orders over $49, for your first 3 orders. On *both* occasions, even though the promo code was successfully added, AFTER paying, the website switched the code to one for 20% off- meaning a lower discount for me, the customer. I noticed right away each time and contacted customer service for help. On both occassions, the representatives acted as if it had been my fault. The first claimed I had used the 20% off code (no I did not). The second claimed my order had been under $49 (it clearly wasn't, and this could be seen from order history- AND the code that they automatically apply themselves is only valid on orders over $49 too).
This website gets by on tricking customers, and from the other reviews here- automatically signing people up for memberships without honoring cancellation requests.
Tip for consumers:
Honestly, just avoid this site. It will cost you more in the long run.

Hi E. A.- I apologize for this experience! I can confirm that there is currently a tech issue with this particular code. I'll be contacting you right away via private message to resolve any discrepancies you're seeing.
There are certain healthy snacks my kids devour, and for that, I am so grateful (the "healthy", that is :) The healthier snacks are not available in the warehouse stores so this is the ONLY place I order them from. I typically save around $50 every time I place an order, and when the box arrives, the kids hover because they know what's in there. So grateful they can keep working to supply us during COVID-19. The kids are eating more snacks than ever...

Thank you for your review! It's great to hear you've been able to see your savings while you get your family the products they love!
Food was sent moldy tasting and they wouldn't return it since it was outside the 20 day period! Customer support was awful, was only concerned with keeping the money and not customer satisfaction, total scam.
Date of experience: December 10, 2019
Thank you for your review. We're sorry to hear this! For moldy items, we are happy to issue a refund in most cases, and if a product arrives expired or close to expiration, we're always happy to refund it as well. Additionally, all of these instances are passed on to the appropriate teams for review. Please email help@thrivemarket.com if you have further questions.
They don't make it clear that there is a $59.95 membership fee and then they charge your account. It is nearly impossible to call them and get them to cancel. They give you the run around trying to explain BS reasons for charging your account. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY
Date of experience: April 10, 2017
Do not order from this company! I ordered one item for a total of $2. I thought I was getting a great deal on some coconut oil! No, I was charged $60 a few days later. I didn't notice it at the time (Oct 2016) because I wasn't checking my account every single day. I was charged another $60 today and I actually noticed it! I contacted them to refund me. They said I will be refunded the latest $60 in 3-5 business days and I cancelled the membership. I HAD NO IDEA I was signed up for a membership automatically when I made a purchase! There was no email notification or ANY INFORMATION that I was going to be charged for a membership!

Hi Sarah- I apologize for the experience. As a membership-based company, we offer a 30-day free trial that begins with the first Thrive Market purchase. After the trial, we charge the annual fee for our services, as noted in the policy on the checkout page. We also send trial members an email reminder a few days before the membership is activated. It is not uncommon for customer's to find our emails in their spam. If you have additional concerns, you may call us at 855.419.9919 or chat with us directly on the our site.
I love this online shopping venue. Its convenient for me since I work 2 jobs and have little time to shop. It also assists me in making healthy keto friendly choices with its shop by diet feature and allows me to keep on track. I enjoy that it also gives me an opportunity to assist my fellow man by offering opportunities to donate to different causes. THANK YOU THRIVE MARKET for being a total package!

I love not only what they have but the responsiveness of their customer service! Not only in answering any questions but resplacing a broken item that came in a shipment. During the initial days of shortages and confusion of the covid issues, they were clear in what they could do and were doing. And did what they said.

We're so glad to hear about your experience with our team, thanks for sharing!
Once you give them your information,. They WILL bill you the MEMBERSHIP FEE NO MATTER WHAT! I tried to cancel after the first week. Received emails trying to retain me. This company only makes money off memberships. Filing a complaint
Tip for consumers:
Don't do it
