I'm following in line with other 1 star reviews, don't waste your money. My resume review was preformed by someone who has zero professional knowledge. Actually, I bet the edits are performed by bots and not people since the formatting and sentence structure was so ridiculous a 6th grader can perform better. The recommended resume was primarily superlatives and little substance making the resume nearly worthless. I did complain and was assigned another individual but only nominal improvement. The LinkedIn recommendation was of little value as well.
I'm currently looking to switch career paths so was willing to submit my resume for help. Whatever software they use to parse through your resume is subpar, so I could only imagine that any doctoring to it will also be subpar. For example, their software reported back that my employment and work experience is two years, despite my resume reflecting 10+ years.
I received an email today thanking me for resubmitting my resume for critiques, which I didn't. The software seems to want to give a middling rating so you'll consider spending close to $200 for their "services."
I am a marketing professional with more than a decade of experience and I paid for a resume to be written to help me advance my career. Not only in over 1 month's time did I not receive any communication other than an intro email and a resume draft written by what could be 5th grade level, they offered to reassign me to another writer with the guarantee it'd be done in 3 days or less. It's been 5 days since that guarantee and I still haven't heard from a new writer. I had to call each time to find out the status, or lack of status, only to be ended by someone named rachel who is arguable the rudest customer service person I've come in conversation with.
This place is the biggest scam in the industry. I had questions about it before purchasing, but if i can save you or another person from making this company another penny, my job is achieved.
Top Resume promised to provide me with a professional cover letter and CV for $219 with several opportunities work with the writer until I was satisfied with the products. From the beginning I realized there was something very wrong. They were non-responsive and when I finally received my first version of my CV and Cover letter it was completely unusable and illegible. When I sent in revisions and noted my disappointment, I never received an improved version or heard from my writer again. I demanded refunds and sent over 7 different follow up emails. They are refusing to refund my payment.
I have filed a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission, LinkedIn, and the better business bureau (there are many complaints).
Please do not use this company, it is not worth your time and money.
I was paired with a "resume expert" who was pretty obviously an underpaid/exploited gig worker who had zero experience writing anything professionally. They returned a draft of my resume that was SIGNIFICANTLY worse than the one I wrote myself, riddled with typos, missing punctuation, and completely unintelligible language. It was super obvious that they had taken several sentences I had originally written, rearranged the words haphazardly, and used a thesaurus to replace words with synonyms that didn't make sense in context, resulting in what was basically nonsensical word salad. I was offered the chance to ask for edits, but realized that the entire thing was so completely unusable that I was basically paying THEM so that I could rewrite the ENTIRE THING by myself again. I had more edits than usable content. I paid for something "professionally written" and what they sent back was completely embarrassing garbage. I eventually complained enough to enough people that I got a 50% refund, which still feels like a slap in the face.
My resume is perfect and they did a great job. I am now Considering the LinkedIn help as well
DO NOT USE this company. Despite some of the high marks I highly encourage you to RUN AWAY from this company. My first drafts didn't even have me name on it, the wrong email address and not even the same state I was located in. Not only were they guilty of trying to copy and paste what I sent them without doing any original work themselves, they didn't even get that correct. When I wanted to speak with them concerning the issues, they asked for an additional $50. The resume was in broken English, didn't even make sense, had run-on sentences and additional errors on the amount of sales created and stated Fortune 5oo, O's not zeroes. I'm not sure they understood Fortune 500 was or the difference between billion and million. I can go on and on and on about the dozens of mistakes made and broken English but I can't overstate how bad this company is. You will do your own work on the resume' and they offer nothing in terms of an upgrade. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE or you will be sorry and waste money and even more valuable time.
I had a very good experience with Lauren, she was easy to speak with, knew her subject matter. During our phone screen to learn a bit more about what questions I had etc she listened carefully and asked the right questions. She took the time to go section to section. Very through and by sending me drafts to edit or approve was assuring. No I am not getting paid for this review I am just grateful and impressed with Lauren's skills and professionalism and the final product is impressive.
Not even got a job interview after using the cv they had written. And they even blocked my email when I raised the issue
I did not go the cheap route here and even paid for expedited service. Didn't even hear from the writer for a week and it was another 1-2 weeks before the resume was complete. I did not get a refund for the expedited service. Resume gets less hits than my old resume, look minimal and the information does not auto load to application forms well at all. Does not reflect my experience well and limits some of the application options I might explore. Reached out to them because they do have a guarantee and they told me I wasn't keeping an open mind and giving it enough time. It's been 2 months since this all started. I've gone back to my old resume because I have no choice.

Excellent, the finished resume was an exceptional piece of work.
Overall a good experience. I am not sure if package with LinkedIn would be worth the full price, but I got a discount and thus it felt ok. Is everything else worth it? I think yes. I can't say for sure whether it will land me a new job in a month, but having a professionally written resume and cover letter helped me understand how to present myself in the future. If I will be able to implement that knowledge - then it's definitely worth it.
Better to connect the call to discuss in detail, unfortunately, it does not happen but anyways I got what expected after many days.

Answer: It depends, if you want to pay for a mediocre format riddled with errors that has the language equivalent of a high-schooler. You will end up paying $100 for something you could have sat down and done in an hour and a half.

Answer: Be careful with this company. They post 1000s of fake reviews to hide the real ones. Note that they do not post their phone number or address on the website. I had to file with the BBB to get a refund after never being contacted. This is a SCAM company - you are better off writing your own resume, trust me on this

I've been assigned 3 different writers and have received a subpar product back each time, written by someone who's first language is clearly not English. The best part, I paid $100+ for a "LinkedIn Rewrite" and this was where the writer copied and pasted their version of my resume into the boxes for LinkedIn. You've got to be kidding me... Don't waste your money!

Answer: Don't waste your money. All of these "reviews" are probably fake. I actually paid them $189 and never even got a usable resume. Find a better company. These guys are crooks!
