I had not "tuned up" my resume in a long time so it was very helpful to get feedback and suggestions. Working with TopResume led me to do a full overhaul of the layout and content. The feedback is somewhat generic so if you are looking for very specific feedback related to the job you are pursuing, you may want to work 1x1 with someone. If you're just looking for a general upgrade, it's a great service.

Worst service ever. Promise to match you with someone thats in your industry. Instead they just took my answers to their form and put into sentence form. It looks like a 5th grader wrote my resume. Now they Refuse to refund my money. They wasted my time, money and have not been helpful. They then told me they would pair me up with a senior writer but instead just sent me a 2nd draft. DO NOT USE

I usually can get some phone call and email from recruiters about the job positions every each Monday or Wednesday, like "CAD drafter","CAD operator","CAD designer", etc. The reason why I bought this service is that I want some positions like "Engineer".

After I updated my resume to "Top Resume"'s edition on Linkedin, Indeed, Monster, etc. I didn't receive any phone call or emails relative to the job for three weeks.
I used to give some suggestions to my writers but they didn't accept it.
So the result is I didn't receive any job opportunities' phone calls and emails for three weeks.

They said they will find some experts know my industry to edit my resume. But it seems like the writer has no idea about my industry.

Keep in mind you do not get a refund. As soon as you get your money they lose all interest in you. Every resume they gave me required complete rewrites. I couldn't even give them edits. They used language that I never told them to use and even legally misrepresented what I can offer. The first draft came days after they promised it would arrive and that was only after I harped on them to finally turn something in.
They are complete amateur writers. Save your money and either find something way cheaper or better yet, find someone locally where you can actually look at their prior experience and have an actual conversation about your needs. Do not make the mistake and hire TopResume. I'm almost three weeks in and am still waiting for a legitimate draft I can work with for edits.

I'm extremely happy with TopResume! They improved my resume tremendously! Now I feel so confident when applying for any job.
I also bought a new cover letter and a LinkedIn profile, both make me look like a star!

I signed up for the "Executive Priority Resume Writing Package" package, $379 CAD, and received my first draft four days later. The first draft was so far below any acceptable quality that I asked for a refund. My request was denied. Support said, "As our sales are final upon purchase, we will gladly partner with you to finalize the documents to your satisfaction.". The resume provided was very boilerplate and had several grammatical errors. I have 20+ years of experience in my field, and the resume produced made it seem like I was applying for an entry-level position.

The initial email I received from the writer included template tags that weren't populated by an automated system.

I received all the correspondence between 1 and 2am local time, so I assume the writer isn't located in North America.

The resume critique was expertly written and provided great insight. I bought into their system based on that. The writer I was assigned was slow to respond, relied on pre-written, fill-in content. When I complained on TopResume's customer service, all I got was platitudes. No offer to assign me a different writer. The writer kept reminding me that we had only one week to complete the project but then would not respond to me for one or two days. Customer Service told me it was a "collaboration" but it felt more like a scam.

With the way job searching goes these days any feedback at all should be considered constructive and help gain perspective. They had me feeling sorry for myself when I first read the review but after my pity party I realized the truth in their review and decided to change the way I play the game. Thanks for opening my eyes to the way Human Resource Managers/Head Hunters and Recruiters want things done.

It's a scam. I made the purchase and did not receive anything for 10 days. One lousy email from a Shanna Galbreath that says she will send my first draft "tomorrow". And we all know that tomorrow never comes.

I had not written a resume since 2006 and I was clueless where to start but at TopResume they took what I had pieced together from various other websites and buzz words and turned it into a polished finished product. I enjoyed working with Jennifer R. She asked all of the questions of my work experience I didn't even know should be asked. The process was far more in depth than I was expecting it to be and TopResume will be the only place I go to if I ever need another resume.

I worked with Melodee on creating a new resume that outlines what I had done in the past aiming to achieve my future career objective. She was a true professional, knowing all the latest trends in writing a perfect resume, how to use active sentences instead of passive, how to simply only use Microsoft Word formatting to keep the resume file size small and make it as easy as possible for ATS to digest the contents and finally how to show achievements for an experienced manager was the key to demonstrated my leadership skills. With her guidance and right questions we were able to re-create my resume in only few days. I did enjoy working with her, she's very efficient and is the right person to go to if you want to get your resume to work for you!

I signed up for the executive package as I wanted a revised resume that could be leveraged for LinkedIn. Cost be damned, this service is a joke as all the so called writer did was change the format. Content wise, they inexplicably created an incoherent word salad. A bot or monkey could have done better!

This poor work product is highly insulting and upsetting given you are required to complete a detailed survey about your experience and goals, as well as provide sample job descriptions of roles of interest or applied for. I sure will NOT recommend TopResumes.com as it should be renamed to JokeResumes.com! Needless to say I will be using my existing resume.

I am 46 and have been 8 years on mat-leave. Trying to reenter the workforce, with a resume that was 4 pages long, post-pandemic and now things going fully online was just a recipe for high anxiety, sleepless nights and unsuccessful job boards response. When I came across TopResume, there was a job fair coming up that I was interested in attending in 4 days' time. I was assigned Shawn K., and within 48 hours he turned around my resume. Not only did I ace my interview at the job fair, but when I uploaded it to the potential employers' job board, I got multiple responses for follow-up interviews. Less than a month later, I have the offer letter signed and will start training in one week. TopResume is the real deal.

I have requested feedback before and even paid for a service (Linkedin) and it has never really worked at all. But this was absolutely superior. It was concrete, they had actually read and analyzed my resume and there were potent recommendations. Wonderful and even better - ACTIONABLE

I'm a designer. For those of you out there that share the same trade, you know we are not the best at writing. I reached out to TopResume to help out with mine via Glassdoor. I can't thank my writer, Shayla, enough for her work. She helped me revise a few things after the first draft and kept an open communication with me. I have seen the immediate impact of her revision to my resume with an increase of callbacks. Needless to say, having someone else write about your accomplishments definitely helps in making them more marketable and stop our own harsh judgement of what we think they are. I am really appalled by so many positive reviews. I sent my resume and when I got my resume with my name incorrect with tons of spelling mistakes. When I asked the writer the reason she is saying it is just rough draft. It is total waste of money. It is a scam. Please stay away from this service.

I have great experience as well as my MBA, but for some reason I was not getting any calls or responses from my job applications. After having TopResume re-write my resume and cover letter, I immediately started getting multiple calls for interviews. It was definitely worth the money!

They did nothing with my resume but reword it. I wasn't give an opportunity to speak directly with my writer via telephone and Katie was extremely rude in her email response to me. Waste of good money.

TopResume is an excellent service for any job seekers out there! To be honest i have never thought of using a resume writer and after using one, i have been wondering why did i wait so long! I suffered from what i think lots of job seekers have - a mental block, when it came to writing my own resume. Belinda, the resume writer assigned to me was fantastic! She did an excellent job condensing my resume into 2 pages of easy to read and polished product which i am confident sending out to companies i am seeking potential employment with. Mikayla with TopResume was absolutely amazing and worked miracles with my original, poorly written resume. Beforehand, I had a lot of information with no real substance and a ton of military jargon that simply never passed the ATS or even the eye test.
