I am not impressed at all. In the end, I'm not even using the resume I paid for. I guess you could say I'm at least using some (less than half) of the cover letter provided to me. I truly feel like English wasn't even native to my first writer; maybe international English because the sentence structure and words used was off. Lesson learned.
After searching for three hours, It was my bad luck that I chose Topresume and paid them USD 250 for a complete package. After one week I was allocated a resume writer who's english/ resume writing skills was by far the worst. I was sent a covering letter as part of package which was so poor. Copy paste from some other profile. Top resume's customer service was atrocious and never bothered to fix the issue. I was running out of time and finally ended by doing my own resume. After lot of struggle, I was given a very small refund and I had to forgo most of my money. If you want to lose your money and screw up your career, you may go with topresume. Despite a slow turn round time due to the original writer being suddenly unable to complete my resume, the response from the team was first class and my resume now looks first class. After many years tinkering with my old resume it was becoming cluttered and missing out on the important key words. This has now been rectified and was worth the money to pay someone else to do all the hard graft.
I actually had reservations about using Top Resume because it was an online company and not a face to face type of setting. I was pleasantly surprised, it took only about a week for my resume to be completely done with a couple of revisions. The only thing is the resume that I sent did not separate tasks with specific jobs so my first couple of revisions came back with tasks under wrong job titles. Once I resent the information with more detail, my writer quickly caught on and revised and now it's in a good place. I was looking for a more professional polished resume. My old one was just boring and didn't stand out. I really love the format that was chosen for my new one and I have to say that after sending it out for one week, I got 2 interviews and a job offer. I have moved into a much better position and I do believe my new resume was a huge factor in this move. Thanks so much!
Someone initially reviewed my resume and provided good feedback so I thought I would try this company. The end result is a resume that is not viable to send out. The scheduled lead time for the first draft was over 2 weeks from the order. The first draft was delivered past the scheduled date. I sent the copy to my professional colleagues to review. Feedback was provided and it took over 2 days for a response from the writer. They lock your revision time within 1 week of receiving your draft. With the 2-3 days response from the writer it limits any feedback. After feedback was given they wanted me to send additional revisions after I provided feedback. Bottom line I received a resume that still is not to my satisfaction or usable to send out. I tried for a refund and they refused to provide it. Do not use them.
They use too much "Canned" information. I had to edit/modify everything my writer sent because it wasn't tailored to my personal experience. I was pretty disappointed with the process. I paid for the executive package expecting an "Executive" experience but something tells me I could have bought any of the packages and received the same experience..

We do not use any canned information when our write the resumes. However, we might use common verbiage that are common within specific industries. If you've purchased our Executive package, your writer is within the top 10% of our network.
I had a great experience working with Dominique from Top Resume! She promptly responded to my resume and cover letter purchase faster than what the website estimated. This was awesome because I was waiting on an improved resume in order to be able to move forward with job applications. After the first draft I had a ton of questions about pieces of the resume and cover letter. Dominique wrote me a very thorough email response answering ALL of my questions. I used top resume a year ago and no lie the emails and calls started coming in from all over the country. My wife who has been in retail and orthodontics never had a resume but wanted to start looking in other fields of work but wasn't sure about what to say. They took care of it. Just email them all the info of your duties and accomplishments, and they turn it into a masterpiece.
It took more than 10 days to deliver the first draft and the draft they sent me had full of mistakes and misinterpretations! It had too much to correct and needed to rewrite the entire thing. I just prefer to use my previous resume! Asked for refund and they said only giving back 20% of what I have paid!( they said 25% but I calculated and it was 20%)

I actually needed an updated resume after 15 years and it was done promptly and i was satisfied with the outcome. I made several changes and liked what my writer suggested to replace. In all i had my resume. Cover letter and linked in.
My resume was streamlined into results/action based after having read like a job description and it was condensed.

My resume currently looks exactly as I wanted and I can tell that TopResume do take care of their customers and try its best to keep you satisfied with your resume.
The process was easy to get started with and the writer did an excellent job. I would have liked a little more guidance as to the direction the resume could / should have gone, but a great product over-all. I definitely DO recommend trying their services for an excellent resume and cover letter.

TopResume was truly such a waste of money and a scam. They truly could not have done a worst job. It was an absolute nightmare receiving my results of a "top resume" and cover letter. The customer service was horrific and unbearable. I truly hope people save their money on this one.

I've been assigned 3 different writers and have received a subpar product back each time, written by someone who's first language is clearly not English. The best part, I paid $100+ for a "LinkedIn Rewrite" and this was where the writer copied and pasted their version of my resume into the boxes for LinkedIn. You've got to be kidding me... Don't waste your money!
