Uhaul could care less about helping people and I have no patience for bull $#*! like this.
What bull$#*! is Uhaul running. I got a call from customer last night just as I get my foot in the door home from work, telling me that he has a Uhaul truck booked. I told him that I close at 4pm. I told him that I checked before I left and saw no rentals. He is desperate and needs a truck, so I drove 30 mins to work because knowing how Uhaul operates, they could have dumped a reservation at my location. They told him to pick up the truck at my location. I have one truck available, but he wants it for 7 days. But Uhaul won't let him have it for 7 days. It's a $#*!in rental, what difference does it make if it's rented on a daily bases for 7 days or for a week. I then find out that the reservation was made at a location an hour out of the city. The guy is not happy, usual response from U haul customers, he has a reservation number and no truck. I spoke to someone at Uhaul and they let him know that there is a truck available in the other part of the city. He had to take a cab to my location, now he has to take another cab that would have cost him $80 to get the truck. Apparently he is not able to get a truck around another location on my way home so that I could drop him off, I know for a fact that there were numerous locations available but now they were all closed. So I took pity on this poor guy and offered to drive him to get his truck, not something |I will do regularly, I guarantee that. Knowing that it was not his fault that Uhaul left him high and dry. When it comes to extremely unacceptable bad customer service Uhaul gets a 5 star review.
Now I feel better.

Unfortunately my experience was not great at Uhaul. I have never rented from them before and will most likely never go back. Uhaul rented us a truck and auto transport which were at different locations. They added extra free miles to the truck for us so we could go pick up the auto transport from another location but it was our responsibility and our time that was required to obtain these two items at different locations. The truck pick up was quick and painless but once the auto transport was picked up it was evident the truck had electrical issues. The auto transport lights did not work.

Was had already paid for both around 600 dollars. We then remained at the unhaul location holding lights and assisting the associates to fix the truck for over 2 hours because there were no other trucks available for us to rent. Eventually, another truck was offered for a discounted price and a refund for the broken truck was promised. We were promised a discounted rate for the new truck due to uhaul error and malfunctioning as well as our time we had given to uhaul to help fix their own problem.

Wilson, General manager at Uhaul called a few days later and said we would only be refunded a 50 dollar inconvenience fee which was very disappointing.

Uhaul representatives and managers are not in communication with each other and we really got screwed over essentially only being refunded 50 bucks for all the trouble we had endured.

Also due to the last minute change for the truck, the gas was not filled to 15/16 and we will be paying more out of pocket than before the issue.

Please do not trust Wilson/Michael Hart, General Manager at Uhaul, he is not looking out for the customers best interest.

I would recommend Tristan at Uhaul of hickory flat, who had all good intentions in helping us with Uhauls error. Unfortunately his help was not supported by Wilson/Micheal Hart the General manager. I would request full refund on the spot so you do not also get screwed over in this way.

Tristan deserves a raise and the position of General manager and Wilson/Michael Hart did not succeed in customer satisfaction, I am completely disappointed in Unhaul and hope to never do business with Wilson Hart again.

Uhaul is trash!
April 29, 2022

If you have any other option for renting a moving truck near you, my best advice would be to choose them! ANYONE else would be better than Uhaul! Hiring Pookie and Peewee from the block would be more competent than Uhaul! I had a reservation to pick up a truck today at 8am, bc I have to be moved before the 1st of May. When I arrived at the pick up location, there was no truck! The previous renter never returned it and I was never notified! The ppl running the place were country and backwoods as they come, could barely speak proper English, and didn't know jack about the rental process. They had no idea the truck was even missing! Evidently there's only ONE truck available at any given time at this location, with all other Uhaul locations being over an hour drive from me. The reviews are negative as all get out, but they are spot on. I have no idea how Uhaul is still in business with their ghetto way of running things. That truck could be stolen and in Mexico by now, but no one would ever know bc Uhaul doesn't keep up with ANYTHING! They did manage, however, to send me a text letting me know my reservation would be CANCELED since I was LATE picking up my rental. I arrived at the location at 8am on the dot! The redneck I spoke with failed to note my account, ( probably didn't know how to work a computer, or had no internet), so it showed up that I never arrived to pick up the truck, that was never even there in the first place! Slow, ignorant, incompetent, unorganized, failure of a business! If I could leave NEGATIVE 10 stars, I would! Never again!

If I could give negative 20 plus I would. I made a reservation to pick up my truck at midnight, after I got off work. We'll the night of I was about to pick up my rental I then discovered and found out that my reservation had been canceled and without my consent or knowledge. With finding this out, it caused me to have a bigger problem, I had to end up making other arrangements to get my stuff moved and instead of making just 1 trip to my storage, it ended up being 2 trips and taking twice as long then intended all because of what Uhaul did by canceling my reservation and at the last minute. Everytime I have attempted to contact them I continuously got placed on hold even longer, or hung up on I never actually spoke to anyone. I most definitely would NOT recommend going to Uhaul nor make a reservation with them because u don't even know if the reservation will all of a sudden disappear without you even knowing, definitely can not TRUST these people HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE AND SATISFACTION!

This location has the poorest customer service I've ever experienced. As I walked up, the female employee asked if I had a reservation. I said yes. I went inside and she remained outside for a few minutes to finish her cigarette. They lost my reservation I made on February 4th so I got all the way from Ohio and had no storage unit. She said the closest available unit was on Grapevine. This unit was supposed to be free for the first month with a one way rental. I asked did she reserve it, she said no I'll give you the number to call. Wow! Then I called today to let them know I finally found a unit with another company and I needed to drop the truck off in North Richland Hills instead of Grapevine. Andrew said we're leaving in a few and I "should" be able to drop off there but he couldn't change it in his system however he could have called reservations to have them change it yet he didn't even offer. He told me if I have an issue dropping off then I need to call the 800 number. After their error they can't seem to provide decent customer. Talked to corporate who basically said the same thing "sorry". They want me to go into an $89 unit for my free one month and then pay them $30 more dollars a month than the Public storage unit I found on my own. BEWARE: the storage confirmation email isn't a real confirmation. Corporate said when you get to the location, that location will let you know what they have. If they have nothing, there is nothing they can do. She'd would not adjust the monthly price. I gave them $2500 last week and this is my thank you. I guess Uhaul has gotten too big for their own britches. I'll never use them again anywhere.

I ordered a hitch at the U-Haul store on Carruth Ct. In Pueblo for my car August 2023. At the desk I said that I need a 2" receiver type hitch. I told the person at the desk that it was for a bike rack. She said, "Okay" and said nothing more. She scheduled me to have it installed August 29 when the hitch would arrive. I went in the day it was to be installed and pointedly asked (before installation of the hitch) the person at the desk if it was the 2" receiver hitch and he said, "yeah, yeah". It was installed, but it was a 1 ¼" receiver hitch! I was told by the installer after the fact, that 1 ¼" receivers are the standard when installed on a car—okay, I get that, but the person taking the order should have told me that when I ordered it and the person at the desk on the day of installation should have told me the same thing when I asked him if it was a 2". I talked to the manager (Josh) the next day and explained the situation and only hoped to make him aware of the lack of knowledge and communication that I had with his staff. Josh assumed a defensive posture when I mentioned that I asked the person at the computer if it was a 2" receiver hitch. Josh said he was there at that time and said that I did not ask about the 2" hitch before it was installed when in fact, I was emphatic about asking if it was a 2". Josh was basically calling me a liar! I had to buy an adapter for my hitch to fit the bike rack. I am frustrated that the people behind the counter didn't know their products and didn't communicate well that my only option was a 1 ¼" hitch. The manager's defensive attitude when approached by a customer with a concern or complaint does not reflect good customer service. He never acknowledged my concern for the lack of correct information received regarding the hitch size, or the experience that I had at his store. I did not scream or yell and was very polite, but I came away thinking that I will never again set foot at the Pueblo U-Haul on Carruth Ct.

Incompetent, Mismanaged, and Unorganized.
September 24, 2022

How long I have waited for the day to write this review. I just used UHaul pods to facilitate my cross-country move from NJ to Los Angeles.

First, UHaul charged me the full amount ($2700+) when they were only supposed to charge me a pickup fee (about $400). They then sent me multiple emails that's I would be charged another $2300 a few weeks later, which meant I had to speak with their *very inspiring* support staff multiple times to clear this up. UHaul then added reservations to my account multiple times that I had nothing to do with, again emailing me that I was responsible for the charges. This meant more time on the phone with UHaul's customer service team, which mostly consists of inbred muts. And now, the granddaddy of them all.

We scheduled our UHaul pods to delivery for Friday, September 23, the day we got into town. My work began Monday, September 26. On my ride from the airport to my empty apartment, Uhaul calls me to inform me that "the driver is unavailable until Monday" and therefore I will not receive my belongings until Monday, September 26, at the earliest. However, the imbecilic UHaul rep was careful to provide that Monday would be the earliest date possible for delivery, and Tuesday, September 27, was a very real possibility. The UHaul rep was smug, disrespectful, and incompetent. It was the worst interaction I've ever had with an individual I gave any amount of money to.

Luckily, we hired movers. For a small additional fee our movers agreed to pick up our pods from the UHaul facility and deliver them to us, unpack, and move us into our apartment. UHaul is dirty. UHaul is like the Demogorgon to your stress-free move but they dress like Hopper.

I look forward to spending the remainder of my days sharing my experience with every individual who could ever hypothetically needing moving services.

Things that went wrong: Gave us the wrong directions from the Uhaul website
Sent us to 2 different locations to pick up a truck & a trailer
The locations were over 30 mins from our house when there were literally 20 locations closer
The trailer light system did not work we sat in the parking lot for hours waiting for roadside assistance to fix it the day before we were loading our truck & moving
We left the house at 2pm to pick up this equipment & did not get back till 7pm with the lights still not working as we would have had to wait 3 more hours so we risked a ticket at the behest of uhaul
The truck size we were advised to get was too small and so we did not move out of state with all our belongings
The day were loaded our truck we had to get roadside assistance to come fix the lights
I called customer service repeatedly to get these things fixed & talked about I got put on hold & the run around
Things that went right: we got offered an upgrade on the truck size (could not take it the truck we too far away so still moved without all our stuff) and we got a discount from the office that rented us the trailer- also a few of the customer service reps were not nasty.

We were literally f'ed by Uhaul twice in one day... the worst moving experience of our lives and will never rent from Uhaul again.

We made a reservation to rent a truck two days before our rental / move out date. Apparently, there is a notification that they give you while you are creating your reservation saying that they cannot guarantee a truck for you - which is something I have never heard about before and have never had an issue with in the past.

Well... 8 am we show up to get our truck that we had a reservation for and guess what! No truck for us. Lucky for us... we needed to be out that day - great!

As polite as the woman was, she literally did nothing for us other than give us a phone number to call God knows who else to help solve our issue.

So, we call and the woman says that we can have a truck by noon time that day. She said straight out that A TRUCK WILL BE AVAILABLE FOR YOU AT NOON - then took our reservation.

We even call the store to VERIFY THAT WE WILL HAVE A MOVING TRUCK to cover ourselves so we can get small things done in the morning.

Okay great...

Noon time comes around. We show up to the next Uhaul location.

Guess what? No truck! Again!

Obviously getting extremely disappointed and frustrated at this point... And of course - the lovely lady up front literally did NOTHING for us again. I asked her if she could call the people who have not returned the truck yet to see if there is any hope and her response was "Well. You can call them if you want."

Fan Freaking Tastic. Thank you so much Uhaul for the worst moving experience of our life.

End of the story is that we did not rent from them - yes we did get moved that day (No thanks to Uhaul).

I strongly suggest that you DO NOT rent from this company. They will screw you like they did us. If I could give 0 stars I would.

Purchased a trailer in Arlington Tx on 2315 W. Division to go to Stafford Tx 4 hours away. Haul have so many different ways to rob you of your money and giving you no option to refuse or fix it. I did a online reservation for 12 hours to give myself enough time to get to my destination. When I went in to pick up the representative act like he couldnt find my reservation so he redone my contract. I did notice the rental was way higher than what I was quoted online I had no time to fight it because I needed to get moving. 1st problem was the representative made me rent for 2 days and when calling about this, the rental time was "averaged by the system" I asked how could the system turn 4 hour trip into 2 days? No one could explain so in so many words I was being told just take the funking. When questioning this problem I was being asked what was the representative name that rented to me? LOL I responded by saying how the hell should I know? I look the contract over and there is no representative employee number or name on the contract and the lady tried to use this against me because I didnt know the persons name that rented to me. WOW! I was told I could drop the trailer off at the location near my house which was 613 FM1092 Stafford Tx because they had no drop off location. I drop the trailer that night after midnight which was less that 12 hours of use. I get a text message the next morning at 930am telling me to take the trailer to some other location. And thats when I made the call. I was being told I could be charged with a wrong location drop off. LOL! Then when they check the system the trailer was not showing in the system for 2 days that I kept going to the location where I dropped off. I asked the representative on the phone that since you making me pay for 2 day rental if I go and hook back up to the trailer would that be considered stealing and I was told yes it would be seen as theft. I am so glad my phone records all calls. I spoke with a manager and was told to check back on today to make sure I dont get charged with a wrong drop off location. LOL What about the money you over charged me for the rental? NO answer. #*******
