Check into a property Address of 202 75th Ave North floor 3 unit 5706 Myrtle Beach SC, *******. This place is infested with bed bugs. Took viedo and pictures and they acting like they don't want to refund. Had to throw out clothes and find a different place to stay.
I rented a tiny townhome in Deep Creek and when we arrived the Door code didn't work. It took hours to resolve. When I rent on Airbnb I don't really want another agency charging all their fees. The point of Airbnb to to rent directly from an owner not have a middleman collecting fees for everything, booking fees, etc etc etc. looking now to rent and only vacasa managed places come up. A $400 rental has $300 in fees. I am not staying at a vacasa place. Doesn't Airbnb get a cut too. How many middlemen can we add to a transaction and call it simple. Technology is adding more costs and more hassle.
Advertised a North Myrtle Beach condo showing full ocean in the pictures. I was specifically looking for ocean front through filters. I arrived at the unit which is way in the back, furthest from the ocean, with not even a view. And the unit is much smaller then anticipated. Vacasa refused to accommodate us in any way. Horrible company
Terrible property manager! As an Airbnb host, I will never rent property managed by Vacasa again. I rented a property in Washington state, Vacasa not willing to refund money when property was not accessible due to government highway closures. NEVER use this company!
Took over a month to get a refund even though we canceled well with the 100% refund window. Multiple e-mails, VRBO Messaging and phone calls were required. I suspect they count on a percentage of people will simply forget to check their account for a refund.
We stayed in room 2106 at Golden Sands. It all depends on what room you get. High point of staying at the Golden sands is the Cabana bar and outside pool. The rooms though all are spacious but need really updated. We stayed in a room this year that had outlets that did not work, no vacuum or broom, and even a blood stain on the pillow. It is really hit or miss.
Rented a house on the Inter-coastal in IRB for almost one month for $15K. AWFUL! The shower head was held up by packing tape so I had to buy two clamps to keep it in place. The jetted tub didn't work. The pool was frigid n I heated. The thermostat couldn't be overridden so it was cool on cold nights n hot on hot days. Lack of outdoor seating caused us to by two chairs for the house. Some of the indoor furniture was old n looked like Game of Thrones leftovers. The property was tired n needed a refresh overall. We repeatedly complained to Va Casa w no satisfactory response. Don't rent from them.
My family & I have stayed at multiple Vacasa homes in various states & each one was exactly as advertised. Always nice, clean & well-stocked. The customer service staff are efficient, helpful & American. We are always impressed with the furnishings & amenities provided. Vacasa is 5 stars EVERY TIME!
How I wish I had read the reviews prior to booking with Vacasa. Terrible experience! They are unresponsive and when I finally reached them they were rude and I am certain the lady I was on the phone with me discriminated against me. I am attempting to cancel due to the flooding happening in Vermont. They will not issue a refund to me at all even when their cancellation policy states that they can give me a refund if they see fit. So in this case they are choosing to deny me a refund. Its not like I dont want to go...the flooding is causing me to wonder if my family will actually enjoy a vacation up there. Vacasa is inhumane, discriminatory, unresponsive, rude, dismissive and quite frankly the worst company I have ever dealt with! I hope you reading this does not book through them. You will regret it.
This past June we stayed a week in beautiful Hilton Head. Loved the area, the house and pool was very nice that we rented through Vacasa. We had a problem with the stove, it did not work. Reported to Vacasa multiple times, we were told that a repair person would be at the house the next day. No repairman came, called Vacasa again. We stayed a week without the oven working. We had bought items at the grocery store that we couldn't prepare. No response from Vacasa, they just wanted me to leave a good review. Unbelievable. Just found my next trip using VRBO.

Answer: It's a monster scam. Avoid at all costs. I've rented several properties that ended up going through Vacasa - despite my best efforts to avoid them. You can't find out that it's Vacasa until after they have your money. It's a criminal enterprise.
Answer: In my experience, construction is their "catch all" excuse for canceling. Follow up to verify that it was rented, but for higher fee.
