Got a great price, basically everything they told me that would happen and how it happened was right on. I would have given them a five but when you call it seems they struggle to find the answer, they are very nice but I don't know how to explain it, in any case other than that and the car pick up being one week instead of 2-3 days like I thought they said everything else went great! Do exactly what they tell you to do as quickly as you can and it will be a smooth process.
Bought a car Nov 2. It is now January 25. No license plate. Both temp tags have expired. I cannot drive my $750 a month car without fear of being pulled over and arrested for no legal registration. Customer service has 45 minute hold times, then they transfer and hang up on you. I call daily and nobody can help. A nightmare. Stay away.
I had an issue from the start. I put a deposit down on a car, filled out all of their paperwork and didn't hear back for 4 days because the Sales guy(Mathew L) was out of the office. I called and complained and his manager Michael left a voicemail stating his guy was leaving me messages on his "off" days and that was a lie as I never heard from him while he was OOO. When he returned he called and left me a voice mail. Ever time I called him back he was never able to talk therefore communicated via email. No apologies whatsoever. We proceeded with the transaction until he stated that they do not work with my bank and I need to use one of their lenders. I said no. I have 2% interest rate and he proceeded to state that he was going to put the car back online for sale and he would put a request in for my refund of $249.00 but no guarantees. Come to find out, they decided to keep my deposit and his communication to me via email is that they don't work with my lender therefore they decided to keep the deposit. I should have trusted my gut feeling from the start as I have used Carvana and other dealerships for home delivery in the past it all went very smooth. Vroom is a shady Motel 6 kind of company... please beware. The sales process is extremely flawed and shady.
Tip for consumers:
Don't put a deposit down and don't use this company
This company should be shut down. For one thing they say they assign you a representative, but you can never communicate with them. You will have numerous problems that they will not address.
Pro: Chevrolet makes a good car, but Vroom has nothing to do with that.
Cons: One they've set the hook, they don't respond to emails and avoid talking to you.
They give you 24 hours to provide all paperwork, however, they didn't provide all paperwork to be signed in the first Fedex... and blamed me for it.
Once they get through one stage of the process, that representative is suddenly not available. They don't care... you're just another customer.
They make excuses to prolong the process... thereby making money on interest earned with your money.
Finally, got a delivery date and... you know it... they shifted it to the right. Apparently the change was due to some other customer needing his car more than I do.
Apparently all cars they get in only have one key. I find that odd for a car with only 15k miles. Are they repurposing the other key? Things that make you go hmmm.
Haven't seen my car yet. The photo shopped pictures can be deceiving. Will have to wait and see.
Finally, it's a good business model but the management needs to look into how they can take better care of their customers because the employees don't.
I bought a car through Vroom 4 months ago and I haven't received my plates and title yet. Don't buy a car through this company they are incompetent and terrible at communicating to you about your information. It is an embarrassment, and they should be ashamed of themselves since they can't deliver simple information to you and effectively. I had to get a rental car because of their inconvenience. DO NOT BUY A VEHCILE THROUGH VROOM UNLESS YOU PLAN ON WANTING YOUR REGISTRATION 5 MONTHS LATER. Thank you.
DON'T BUY FROM THRM
Purchased my car 3 months ago, and my temporary tag expired 20 days ago, somce then trying to reach them nobody answer, once they answer they give me the run around. Bunch of useless staff.
I had a terrible experience with Vroom. I was helping my Mom buy a car from Vroom however after my 85 year old Mom wired them the money ($30,000) we heard nothing. I ended up being put on hold for anywhere from 25 minutes to 65 minutes on each call over a 14 day period. Additionally every time I called I was transferred to another department however each new department could not see any of my data from the previous calls. Turns out the car never got shipped nor could they isolate where the car was physically(remember they already have my Mom's $30k) and the shipping department kept referring my back to the sales department the only problem was that the sales department has nothing to do with the shipping department. The nightmare with them started on 3/3/2021 and finally ended with my Mom getting her money back on 3/20/2021. I have detailed notes from each day of this colossal screw up and this should serve as a notice to everyone that something is not right with this company. By the way, I have been buying cars (personal) for over 35 years so I'm not new at this. Finally, watch "Purchasing Nightmare " on TFL (the fast lane car) YouTube channel from 2 months ago and after watching ask yourself if this is a company you want to engage with.
Tip for consumers:
Use another car buying site or pick the worst dealership you know and do business with them......in my opinion it would be a better outcome than using vroom
ONCE YOU SIGN THE PAPERWORK, THEY ARE NOT RESPONSIVE. THE DELIVERY IS DELAYED TO MORE THAN AVERAGE WAIT TIME. THE CUSTOMER SERVICE REPS ARE NON RESPONSIVE AND DO NOT ALLOW TRANSFER TO A MANAGER. THEY WILL TELL YOU THERE IS NO MANAGER! SAVE YOURSELF TIME AND GO SOMEWHERE ELSE.
I was so excited but now so disappointed.
I received my electric car from them on 10/27/21. They forgot to provide the adapter that goes from the power cord to the wall to charge the car. Around 01/15/22, after I found the part online and sent them the link to buy it they said they can no longer help me. Finally, they sent me a check for the amount and I was able to order it myself and took 3 days. This is after weeks, months even of being on hold for hours; told constant lies and misinformation and failed promises from upper management to get it done.
Next, the title/tag registration has and still is really the worst. My first temp tag expired on 12/19/21, after hours on the phone they got me one good until 01/15/2021. I was told in January 2022 that It would take 11 more weeks to get the tag... they sent me a third temp tag that expires on 02/15/22... they are now saying they cannot provide any more temp tags and I need to go to the DMV to get my own tag... this is after I paid them over $2k in tax/tag fees. Now I'm screwed and have to do this myself.
When I say you will regret using VROOM please hear me. Save yourself so much pain and go spend a day at a local dealer because the ordering from your sofa experiance with Vroom is total crap.
Please avoid them for your own sanity!
Tip for consumers:
do not use them. they will not save you anytime and you will be stressed the EFF out.

I have got the appraisal value for my car and then i have been sending them email for over 2 weeks but I have not got any word yet.
When ever you call them there is a new person, new drama, new request
DO NOT DO ANY BUSINESS with them
I was in the Market for a used Ford Mustang GT and I was caught between CarMax, Vroom, and Carvana. I really like the layout of the Vroom website but between the horrible reviews and actual legal issues Vroom is currently having and dealing with their customer service I went with Carvana. Their pricing is high but where they did have Carvana beat is their financing terms especially for me coming out of a Chapter 7 United Auto Credit offered the better terms. The problem is the price of their car is higher than it should be which will be an issue when it comes to refinancing. Also to actually have to put down $250 non refundable deposit to hold the vehicle for 24 hours is not consumer friendly. With Carvana for all the issues they may have you get a hold through the whole process you are buying the vehicle and no deposit was ever required. Plus Vroom customer service is outsourced which I have a problem with compared to the others. Honestly I don't see Vroom staying in business, they did buy United Auto Credit so they may just get into financing but I doubt these guys will last.
Tip for consumers:
Be very cautious if you put down the deposit for $250 it is non refundable. Also they are having the most issues even compared to Carvana with regards to titling and registration. Also out of the big online shops I feel these will be the first to go belly up.

THIS COMPANY IS SLEAZY AND THEY ARE LIARS. Bought 2021 Jeep Renegade for $30k. Got it and took to the Jeep dealer for state safety inspection. The brakes were rusted, grooved and rutted and would not pass inspection. Required $1300 brake job. Vroom said they would try to get it covered for me, then played games, ghosted me, then I finally got the one the phone and they said they could not and would not do anything for me. They were sleazy throughout the process. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH VROOM!
Vroom is a ripoff company... they increased the price of the vehicle after we agreed on a price and I got a deal summary and my deposit and wire transfer of the purchase price. I canceled the deal and asked for my deposit and balance of my money... received the deposit of $500.00 but was told the wire transfer balance would be returned in 10 to 14 days! After 14 days and talking to their incompetent customer support team I was told I never requested my balance back (OH MY GOSH YOU HAVE TO BE KIDDING ME) so now I am told I will receive a check FED EX within 8 to 10 days!
I sure would like them to send me $27,000.00 to hold in my bank account for 28 days! Curious to know how many people are being duped into the same scenario and how much money is Vroom making on the money (interest) they are not refunding!
Paperwork was a snap after that it was all downhill. Told the car would be delivered on the 22nd of June. Nothing the a call it would be delivered on the 24th received a call delivery would be on the 25th at 12:00. No car no phone call. Call company no answer. I am ver disappointed and wondering if I've been scammed. At this point I would not use this company. Three days wasted waiting on a communication. Finally the car arrived! It was everything they said it would be, no dents or flaws, the inside was like a brand new car. We love the Acura RDX!
Buyer Beware! Company will give you a broken vehicle and will not make it right! I purchased a 2016 Mercedes GL450 back in November. Sales rep was fantastic and whole transaction was seamless. I received the vehicle quickly in about 7 days. I was told vehicle took a little bit to arrive because they do a "deep inspection". When I received the vehicle though the windshield wiper fluid wouldn't come out, I had no floor mats, and the car tires were misaligned so vehicle was shaking when going over 60 mph. I called with the issues of floor mats and windshield wiper fluid and was told they would fix issues. They told me I needed to go to a repair shop and get an estimate so they could reimburse me. So I had to take time out of my schedule to do this, but figured whatever I will just get it done. Long story short after getting the repairs done they claim they can't send me check because it was too long before I took it in because apparently I needed to drop everything because they missed something so simple through their "deep inspection". Anyway I've made numerous phone calls to them and haven't gotten issues resolved and it's been close to 8 weeks. Complete scam of a company.
I sold the a truck and they can't seem to keep the documents straight. I have a feeling I dodged a bullet and that Vroom isn't going to be around for very much longer.
After they get your money the sales man disconnect the line, I just called him for the million time and no answer, they said his no longer working with them really it's only been 2 days... LIE LIE LIE, they scamming people, PS get your own financing!

I got offer from vroom to sell my 2020 Mercedes, they asked me for the payoff letter I have summited 3 times and after waiting for 3 weeks to get call back from vroom to pick up the car received email saying we have not received payoff letter and whenever call I get transfer to different person which they don't even know what's going on, WORSE Company I have even seen.
Tip for consumers:
Make sure to work with one specialist all the way otherwise you will be transfer from one to another
I used true car to find my truck and found it on Vroom. The communication was fine up until the time they received my money. They did email to tell me that my truck was in my area hub, after that there wasn't any communication except a FedEx with registration papers and dealer tag. No further communication was made.
I called to find out the date of delivery they told me the Wednesday coming. Waited did not arrive, called they said there was delay and-it would be Thursday by 11:00. It did not arrive and no call was made. I called and was told the truck was still at the hub. I was irritated and said I didn't pay that amount of money to be jerked around and maybe I needed to get a lawyer. About a half an hour later I received a call and was told my truck would arrive Friday, the next day, without fail. I was called at about 7:30 pm that same night and was asked by the delivery driver if I would like my truck that night. It was delivered.
My complaint is that after getting the money you are rather left in the dark when that is really the time you need communication.
I am taking it to my mechanic to get it checked but I'm sure it's fine and I am very happy with it.
Tip for consumers:
Keep in touch with the company about delivery

Terrible experience. I was sold a vehicle with numerous defects that were not disclosed. Scratches and dings all over, clean carfax yet there are paint runs in the door so it's been painted, hiding a previous accident. Vibration issues in the brake pedal and steering wheel so it needs brake work. The change oil message is on the dash, it's missing a plastic console compartment door inside, rips in the rear seat, scratched plastics inside. Not the high quality vehicle i was expecting. I had to pay out of pocket to get repair estimates & now I'm worried about the return process. This wasn't the hassle free experience I was hoping for. I feel like a bait & switch job was pulled on me. I paid top dollar for a car auction trade in. Not impressed as I wait anxiously to find out what will happen. I just found out vroom screws you over by not refunding the delivery fee. What a joke, plus I had to pay out of pocket to get the estimate because even the dealership told me they dont deal with vroom. Word of caution steer clear. I doubt the pictures on the website were even the same vehicle I was sold. The delivery driver picked the car up from an auto auction. Vroom customer service is nice however they dont help much. Every call I was told I would recieve a call back... no one ever calls back and you're forced to call them. They won't disclose the buy back departments phone number. Not pleased at all, I'm out time, out money, and disgusted with the entire experience. I'm contacting a lawyer.
Blew my expectations out of the water. Purchasing a Porsche 2016 Panamera online sounds CRAZY. From the sales agent Luis Williamson to delivery agent Kristyn Kendrick made sure I had a great experience and insure me things will be fine. However, after wiring over 52K and got no response from anyone about receiving transfer was extremely worrisome for a few days, but this was during the outage in TX due to weather. However 3 days later Luis reached out and informed me how sorry he was about the situations which was beyond his control. He assured me he will follow my transaction until it was delivered. Which he did. Kristyn on the other hand kept me abreast on delivery. When the vehicle arrived she had it inspected again and found a scratched that occurred during transport. She informed me that she sent the car to a certified Porsche body shop to get the car perfect for delivery. Yes like anyone else would be I was not too happy, but glad she cared enough to get things right. 3 days later Kristyn called for a delivery timeframe, the Porsche arrived looking brand new even with the new car smell. All I can say is I am glad I took the chance after reading all those negative reviews. I found a vehicle with less mileage, and save about 3k then purchasing locally. Will definite purchase from them again
Horrible experience, was very specific about the date we needed the 2018 Chrysler Pacifica Limited Van by, they couldn't get it done and wasn't willing to reimburse for us to rent a Van for our Summer Vacation for our three Grandsons.
Tip for consumers:
They should have made things right!!!
If I could give no stars I would TERRIBLE customer service we ended up canceling our order because They wouldn't ever send the title application to the bank and every time we called waited on hold for over an hour and still got nothing accomplished we have talked to so many people I couldn't tell you their names and nobody knows anything they have the title to our car we were trading in and nobody in the entire vroom company can do anything to get it mailed back to us been a week now and still no title DONT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM Customer service is absolutely terrible worst of the worst
Tip for consumers:
Don’t do it they are terrible
Vroom does not care about the customer, Vroom sold me a vehicle in the state of Minnesota with tinted windows. Per state law it's illegal to sell a vehicle with a window tint below 20, vehicles tint was a 17. They have been extremally difficult to work with, they expect the customer to do the leg work on locating a company to correct the wrong and drive a vehicle that is illegal to drive in the state of Minnesota. Then they give you deadlines to accomplish their work for them or consider the case closed. REMEMBER THIS, THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT THE CUSTOMER!
Tip for consumers:
Do not buy from Vroom, when you look at the customer reviews on their website you only see the positive. You won't see mine or any other negative review.
I recently purchased a used car from the Texas VROOM dealer. I think there is a NY dealer as well. You see the car you want with tons of photos, you can hold it for a $500 fully refundable deposit. I paid a fair price, no negotiations needed, have a full car fax in hand and the Vehicle is exactly as pictured. Down side to the website is that there is no real vehicle description, you simply have to call and talk to the sales rep. They say the sales reps do not get commission and the process was no pressure. My only real CON to the process is that the paperwork was done via snail mail and added a week to the process. I did the financing through my bank and all the paperwork was signed via email or DOCUSIGN. But VROOM had to mail me the paperwork and I had to mail back. They need to update their process to the internet age and then it would be great. Also comes with a 7 day return policy and some warranty. Much better that dealing with a used car salesperson and not craigslist risk or BS.
THEY LIE AND SEND YOU A PIECE OF $#*!... I BOUGHT A 2014 BMW X1 THAT WAS DELIVERED BY A CRAZY NON ENGLISH SPEAKING PERSON -- WITH A DIRTY CAR INSIDE AND OUT. THEN I TOOK IT TO THE BMW DEALERSHIP ONLY TO LEARN THAT THE CAR REQUIRES $1700 OF WORK AND NEW TIRES... I FKN HATE THEM AND I PLAN TO TELL THE WORLD ABOUT THEM. I BOUGHT THIS CAR FOR MY DAUGHTER THINKING I WAS DOING A GREAT THING AT THE TIME AS A SINGLE MOM... I HATE THEM! THE SERVICE AFTER THEY GET YOUR MONEY IS GONE. I SHOULD HAVE GONE TO A DEALERSHIP AND JUST SAT THRU THE BULL$#*!. BTW THE DELIVERY FEE IS NON REFUNDABLE $750 OR MORE. THEN YOU DONT GET YOUR PAPERWORK FOR WEEKS - WHICH MAKES THE REGISTRATION PROCESS DIFFICULT. OMG I WISH SOMEONE HAD TOLD ME BUT NOW I AM TELLING YOU. CHERI - CHATT. TN
