Here's my take on Wayfair. I've ordered many items successfully in the past. I was pretty happy with them and the customer service. Until now. I ordered a recliner from them They posted a date of delivery of August 5th. I initially emailed them asking if they could expedite the date. NO REPLY. I ordered it June 1st. I decided to cancel it on June 15th - Far before the delivery date. I got my reply the following Monday saying they couldn't cancel it as it was being prepped for delivery - All of a sudden! I emailed them again I wanted to cancel it. No reply. I spoke to a service rep and he gave me the same. I was adamant in cancelling and he even acknowledged the date of August 5th delivery but said there was nothing he could do. They cancelled it but charged me 90.01 delivery/return charge. I again protested. They said no. I told them I'd never order from them again and I've cut up my Wayfair card. I will bad mouth them on any venue I can. I also filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau
Ordered a Bathroom Vanity for our Bathroom Reno. We were provided with a delivery date and time, and on the date of delivery, we were sent texts throughout the day to advise of the delivery time. We then received numerous texts in the evening apologizing that they were going to be late, which happens (NO PROBLEM). We then received a call from Customer Service, advising us that due to Transport Canada Regulations, they could not longer have their drivers on the road. After taking time off work to be home, and staying home b/w 1 - 6 p.m. I now receive this message. I began to complain on the phone, and the argument became heated, sue to my anger, and the customer service rep., just hung up! Absolutely disgusting! My wife then called them back, and she was told that the Vanity which was supposed to be delivered Monday evening, now cannot be delivered until Thursday! They missed the delivery date, and now they want us to take another afternoon off work, and wait almost 3 more days to have it delivered, with no concessions at all. Or in the alternative, I can ship it back to Wayfair, and PERSONALLYT pay for shipping. Now if anyone has ever shipped large packages or boxes, will tell you that returning it by courier is not an option, as the fee for shipping, 1 very heavy item, can cost up to as much as 1/2 of the item (RIDICULOUS POLCY)! Please DO NOT buy from Wayfair, unless, it is a very small ticket item, or it is a product that you have not been able to find elsewhere. This company WILL screw you on the return!
Ordered on Wayfair May 10 with expected delivery by the 18th. Today is the 23rd of May label was created in Canada on the 16th and nothing since. Their delivery system sucks.
ORDERING FROM THIS COMPANY IS RUSSIAN ROULETTE. THERE ARE A VERY FEW PEOPLE WHO ARE HAPPY AND MANY MANY MORE WHO HAVE BEEN RAILROADED!
We ordered a sofa. Waited WEEKS. THEN, two days before our "expected delivery" after sitting on floor all this time... this happens.
WE receive an email with one line. SAYING... our sofa order has been CANCELLED. Huh? By whom?
Now remember, they have our money and we waited weeks! It is 2 days before we were to receive our couch!
To make things worse... NO EXPLANATION IN THIS EMAIL, NO INFO AT ALL... LITERALLY JUST A NOTIFICATION ONE LINER THAT OUR SOFA ORDER HAS BEEN CANCELLED. No apology. NADA!
So we have no idea WHY and even worse still NO COUCH!
So we write an email to Wayfair... and get a reply days later saying they will look into it and have THUS FAR received NO FUTHER COMMUNICATION... 6 weeks on!
If we had done our research we would NEVER have ordered from this place.
SADLY we ordered first.
You know what? UPDATE - To make things worse when we went shopping for a couch we bumped into a customer in the store who had an even worse experience with Wayfair and the Furniture sales guy says to us "We hear this ALL THE TIME about Wayfair!"
That is REALLY SCARY to us.
FANCY COMMERCIALS... NO SUBSTANCE WHATSOEVER!
Your LIFE WILL BE BETTER WITHOUT WAYFAIR!

I ordered a bathtub and within 2 hours of placing the order, my contractor advised me it was the wrong size.
I called customer service immediately and was told it was too late to cancel the order because it was on the truck. They told me it would cost $140.00 to cancel the order. I asked them to call and verify it was already on the truck. I could not believe it could have been processed that quickly and on a shipping truck when it wasn't supposed to arrive for two weeks from placing the order. The agent came back on the phone and said yes it's on the truck and it's too late to cancel the order.
The next day I checked the order on Wayfair website and found this information.

Clearly they lied and stole my $140.00. The item was not on the truck until the next day, and not on the truck on December 13 when I called.
I am not happy with this situation and will not order from Wayfair ever again and I hope it will be a warning to others.
I ordered something on Dec 30th cxld it on Dec 31st. And now I'm waiting to see IF I'll rcv my full refund. I'm hoping that this company is not as bad as I have read, wish me luck!
I ordered some items and ended up with cheaply made items I had to keep because they keep half of what you paid as supposedly shipping charge.

I ordered A White desk now for Online school.Ok First it is OVER PRICED but ok Ill pay for it $105 for a 2 drawer desk. I furnished my vacation rental in Florida (I Live in NY) usung Wayfair. I just figured it would be easier to send furniture there then to have to go shopping when I arrive. I had my property manager go to the condo when something arrived. Delivery was just as I asked... to be left at front door, packaging was great- sometimes. There were a few things that arrived damaged, but Wayfair fixed that by sending another item. The one frustrating thing was all the dressers and end tables needed to be put together. They came in 10 or 12 pieces, so when you get delivery in a box, you really dont know if it is damaged until you begin to put it together. The tracks to some of the drawers were bend which made the drawers not line up properly, or there was scratches on some of the end tables that you dont see untiol you screw the sides on ect. Those pieces needed to be replaced and then put together again which is very time consuming. I was paying my property manager to be at the condo and putting things together, so if something needed to be put together twice, I had to pay him twice. So I learned Wayfair is not the way to go fo me and the way the pieces were damaged shows me that it happened at the warehouse, not during transit but they sent it anyway. The quality of the furniture is not great like unsturdy legs on chairs and end tables. It really pays to go to a furniture store, spend a little more money and get real wood furniture.
After reading the reviewS about wayfair delivery contracts. Its a 50-50 chance you will get your goodS at the contracted -time. GOOD ISN'T GOOD ENOUGH.

DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS WEBSITE! If I could give a negative star i would. Actually that's even being too nice. I can't give any stars on this experience. The way this company deals with disaster/damage placement is unacceptable and unprofessional. If I had not called that my item is not delivered yet, they wouldn't have replaced it. My item got damaged During delivery. Somebody dropped the ball and didn't replace my order right away. Now, I'm looking at a week to deliver my item. The least they could do is replacing the item because they still have my money regardless. They of course need to replace it. They didn't offer anything for the inconvenience. They treat their customers terribly. They don't care about their customers. The inconvenience they have given me as a paying customer is very unacceptable. And to think they are open from 9-6pm today and nobody could help me is beyond me. Spend almost 5 hours on the phone dealing with one issue and still can't give their customer satisfaction. I will never order from this company ever again. This is the most horrible experience I have ever encountered in my life. From the way they deal with delivery issues to the way they talk down on people is the worst experience I have ever experienced. DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS WEBSITE! Jenelle martin, Annet toland the Supervisor and Krissy the Manager are not very helpful.

Well just an FYI DO NOT order from WAYFAIR unless you are not going to send it back because if you have to send it back they charge you! Wtf I purchased through Kmart on line which they go through Wayfair and you cant bring it back to Kmart hummm...
