I booked a hotel to coincide with a jazz festival and my 32nd wedding anniversary. Unfortunate my nephew passed form cancer. The funeral is being held during the time I booked the vacation. The small print on the reservation said NO REFUND. I had no luck with Affirm who paid the amt in full. Finally, when i reached out to geta room, I was treated with compassion and respect and within 24 hours Affirm received a refund and I am no longer on the hook for this. They did what affirm did not do in a week in 24hrs, Affirm even asked me to send in a copy of the obituary! When I called the next day, they said they did not ask for it. GETAROOM solved my problem. Just was Scammed by getaroom.com | never used their business intentionally thought the hotel I connected with was the actual Radisson affiliate
Country Inn Suites. Once I realized when I received a receipt not coming from the actual hotel I cancelled it right away. Not realizing they treated it as a non refundable reservation. The reservation came through as cancelled receipt although the payment was just posted as a payment with my credit card. Called their so called customer service they said I cannot get my money back due to their policy. Which is clearly ecommerce FRAUD.
Be aware reported to actual Radisson affiliated location plus FRAUD unit for my credit card.
This company needs to be reported and brought down! After further investigation and research their are thousands of complaints about them on BBB, tripadvisor and other review sites that they acting like you are getting a reservation from the actual hotel reservation online service - they add bogus fees and no ware on the booking info indicates its a non refundable transaction. Please help others by invesigating further -just found out this company was acquired by priceline.com who now is the parent company.plus their is an active

I thought I booked direct with hotel. A week before our stay, I called hotel to add a night to booking and asked about verification code I was supposed to have received to enter hotel and room. Thus began nightmare. Hotel had no reservation. After a lot of work, they told me I booked thru Expedia. We called Expedia together, Expedia said I booked thru a travel agency and provided an international # number to call. I'm summarizing the nightmare.
Since this was a family event for a graduation, I needed the rooms but hotel couldn't help with modifying reservation or providing verification email. Kept telling me I had to go back where I booked reservation. Since I believed I booked on hotel website, I had no idea where they were telling me to go. I ended up booking rooms direct with hotel via phone. They guaranteed a full refund on original reservations.
After the celebration, I called hotel to say I hadn't received refund. They referred me to Expedia who then provided an international phone number.
My next call was to my credit card company to dispute the charges. I'm in the middle of the dispute. Get a Room provided letter to Cc company indicating I called them. Funny since I never heard of Get a Room before disputing charge with credit card company.
This company is a complete scam. I don't know how they hijack people from hotel web site but this is a complete scam and needs to be shut down

The booking process was okay, but I did not receive a confirmation email with a confirmation number. I had to cancel my trip, and when I called to do so, I was told multiple that there was no record of my reservations. After about an hour and a half on the phone trying to cancel the reservations and being told that I didn't have any I gave up. I was then charged for 2 rooms at a hotel I never stayed in, and Getaroom told me I had no reservations at through them. The link on my credit card statement for who the rooms were booked through was Getaroom.
I will never use them again, and will definitely discourage, anyone I know from using them!
While the people were nice on the phone, I was told that they had no record of my reservations and could not help me, repeatedly. I obviously had reservations through Getaroom, because I was then charged for two rooms that I never even stayed in and the link on my credit card statement for the rooms was Getaroom.
The popped up when I was trying to make reservations and seemed easy enough to go through.
Competitive pricing and straightforward booking process. Simple user interface that was easy to navigate and quick to load. If it had a reward system, I would definitely use again as well as recommend.
I chose this particular site for it's lowest pricing and it's transparency.

I need to amend my review.
After many requests they finally (and pretty quickly) reimburse the extra 36 euro.
Very fast and effective customer service.
Total to pay not at all clear!
I would say comparable to scam.
They attract with a price (in my case 62 euros) and then they add the taxes during the payment phase, in my case 36 euros (I didn't see the full total until I received confirmation from the credit card).
So I paid 98 instead of 62 as declared when booking.
I immediately wrote to customer service to cancel the reservation, but the response was non-refundable.
If the additional taxes were declared somewhere, it was written in tiny, hidden letters. Be wary!

It was my first time using this service, I was travelling to Mastichr in the Netherlands and needed some relatively cheap place to stay for a night.
That's how I found a Stayokay place in Maastricht and paid only $35 for a night. It was much cheaper than anything else I could find with some other popular booking services.
I forgot to mention a friend of mine recommended this service to me exactly for this purpose. Now I have them bookmarked and whenever I need a room, I know where to find it 🙂

I had an issue but I could not figure out and didn't understand what was going on. After leaving a review, the customer service representative called me and walk me through why things happen the way they did and also listen to to my concerns, and very promptly came up with a solution. Update: After my post, a representative from Get a Room contacted me, listened to my concerns, and fully refunded all of my money.
My family and I booked a weekend in North Conway, NH and when we went to check in we noticed the reservation actually said Conway, AR. I thought I booked directly with the hotel but apparently it was through this third party service. I called their customer service and explained the situation to them. They denied me a " penalty waiver" and denied my request to at least get a refund for the second night's stay. I have read a few other reviews on this website with the same type of reservation error. I would not recommend doing business with them at all.

Everything about this reservation was super easy. Click, click done. Less than 5 minutes. I was able to select all the important info needed, enter my card information and, voila! No phone time necessary.

Great room with an awesome view of downtown Wilmington. Very friendly service too. Convenient to historic downtown Wilmington attractions including the St. Paddy's Day parade. This was a wonderful weekend getaway!
I have used getaroom.com on most of our recent trip to central Europe and have made at least 8 bookings for different cities and was very pleased with the outcome. We did not have any issues at all when we arrived to these hotels. My advised to anyone who will be using this site is make sure that you take a copy of your bookings as the hotel asked for verification. I found that if you ring them (getaroom) and talk to their customer representatives, they can quote you better and cheaper pricing. I generally had a pleasant experienced dealing with them and will likely use it again.
I booked 5 rooms, but was charged for 9 rooms. After being told it was just a 24 hr. Hold, I was hung up on 3 times with customer service. The hotel was pleasant, clean and staff was polite and courteous but the reservation process was unclear, unorganized and very unaccommodating!

It was a terrible experience no indication about a deposit and I still have not received my deposit back after checking out. The only thing this has going for it is prices.
