I had booked a ticket in October 2020 for my family and the flight was cancelled by the airlines in the next few weeks and now we are in July 2021 and I am still waiting for the refund. Despite repeated requests, emails and phone calls, Cleartrip is not refunding the money. Shame!
Please don't book anything on cleartrip.
The cancellation says -
"If you cancel within 7 days before checkin, you will be charged 100% of your stay".
I booked and cancelled within hours and they took away all the money.
This is the way the company is making money.

Never ever book tickets through Cleartrip. I had a terrible experience with Cleartrip recently. Booked tickets through Cleartrip for my family. Had to cancel the tickets because of current corona situation. Even though the airlines (Indigo) cancelled the tickets with full refund, Cleartrip has deducted considerable amount from the refund amount. And their customer service is absolutely worst and pathetic, not able to reach at any way. I understand from online complaint section that many people are suffering because of unprofessional and unethical attitude of Cleartrip.
THIS IS THE WORST SITE TO BOOK FLIGHTS...I booked a ticket for 21st dec from COK to KUL., when the ticket came in my email, it was 21st March... I called to reschedule my ticket, after calling continuously for 2 days they send me a reschedule rate as thrice the amount of the ticket... Blindly robbing us... Even if I take a new ticket it won't cost 1/3 d of the amount. They did not provide any reason for asking this huge amount... When asked for a breakdown... They said it's their policy not to tell us.
I am giving them 1 star because that is the minimum possible else I would have given them 0 stars. Cleartrip is a cheap company trying to entice money out of their customers one way or the other. While booking a flight ticket, they have an option to select insurance for the trip which by default is checked. So in the clutter of other information on their web page, if you miss noticing that the check box for insurance is checked, you inadvertently will end up buying the insurance. It happened with me, and when I called them within 5 minutes of booking the ticket to cancel the insurance, I was told that it is non-refundable. Since insurance is not a free service, a customer must explicitly and knowingly select the insurance instead of having it selected as default. I find their business practice to be deceptive and unethical. To top, their customer service left a lot to be desired. Needless to say I won't be doing any business with them in future.
I made a booking on the 19th 9 pm for my father, who is 87 years old and in a wheelchair. Clear air was not willing to change the flight by one day after 2 hours of booking even after the airlines were willing to cooperate. The customer service will not be in line with the website. The website showed no charge to change flight ticket while customer service asked for 10,000 inr. I spoke with two customer service members, Ankit and Khusboo and they were both not willing to help.
Chennai - Toronto one-way (Trip ID: **************) refund? You said 24 hours on Friday now it is Sunday night. Tomorrow Monday and coming Friday will I receive the same messages asking for another 24 hrs
Cleartrip never responded to my email queries on time. Currently the online customer support is inactive. Horrible customer support and whenever you call to their customer support phone number in response you will be responded with a statement that " due to high volume of calls you are in a que and shall be attended shortly" which is usually never attended. Last time when I called them, I was notified with 5 days waiting period to be attended by their customer service. Can you believe this.
The most unreliable service and stealing people's money. I had purchased a return ticket for Rs 13,400.00 and now they send me an email that they would refund me Only Rs 482.00. I am never ever going to deal with Cleartrip again and so I would ask everyone please do not deal with these people. They are cheaters, they just loot your money.
Please avoid using cleartrip.com. I cancelled my ticket because of unavoidable reasons, I applied for refund. Even after two months, they did not payed any refund. The customer service people are equally bad. I recommend not use their service.

Answer: I'll keep it brief. We booked a ticket in August (India to Canada using Air France) this was before the air bubble restrictions were launched both on the website and in public knowledge. On the day of my Air France flight, Air France called me to tell me because of the airline restrictions I can't board the plane, the ticket was 1.83 lakhs for one way. We called Cleartrip right away to see what can be done about this - well firstly they've removed the option to call them so you're forced to email. They called us back and said we should hear back about a refund in two weeks. In two weeks nothing. As I mentioned that was August, it is now DECEMBER and we have had endless emails and calls with Cleartrip with no resolve. You'd think those emails would be something productive - but no! They are AUTOMATED emails, again and again. Every time someone calls me its a different person from their team who has no context about my use case and then says oh give us 72 hours to get back to you and then someone else calls me! And now they're saying because it's after the day of the flight that they can't guarantee the refund amount - have you heard of anyone cancelling a 1.83 lakh flight with NO GUARANTEE of the refund?! What if I get 100 rs back? Am I supposed to be okay with it? The biggest joke is that I called Air France directly and told them about this situation and they said in this circumstance we would have offered a full refund. The offered to convert my ticket into a voucher I could use till the end of 2022 with any of their airlines and had no idea why Cleartrip was saying they need to speak to them and happily left a remark on my ticket recommending a full refund. You thought that would help? Wrong. Since that remark, Cleartrip has now continued another three weeks of ridiculous automated emails with absolutely no indication of this remark or anything else helpful frankly. I'm very very sorry for you if you have to ever interact with Cleartrip support for anything. If you're booking a risky flight, be sure this is the wrong place for any kind of help.

Answer: Impossible. None of the contacts provided in the companies website are working. Customer service portal doesnot work. Only the refund related calls don't go through. All other dial options work. This looks like a complete fraud, which needs to be reported to the authority, which I will do if i do not get a response.
