My local CVS is awesome. Great people, great service. Knowledgeable, caring staff. Highly recommend them.
I have moved around a few times and each CVS was horrible and slow... Just gave up and went to walgreens.
I learned a lot after checking this site out. It is amazing to read about all the products in this site.
My wife is a advanced lupus patient and she suffers a lot of join pain and muscle pain, The pharmacist refused to fill a lupus patient pain medication, she gave us 3 excuses, the first one was she needed to transfer my wife profile from the previous pharmacy, the second excuse was she needed to talk to her Dr and after the Dr confirmed that everything was legit, that it was OK to fill it, the pharmacist decide she didn't feel comfortable and refused to fill it.
I called cvs corporate office and they didn't care about the patient, they told me that their pharmacist can refused anyone at will, that if she didn't feel like filing it she could refused and there's nothing anyone can do.
I will never use this place again and In My Opinion if you want a reliable don't pharmacy don't use CVS they don't care about the truth, if the CVS pharmacist can have the power to choose to let the customers suffer they shouldn't have any customers to torture.
There should be a valid reason to refuse to fill a patients medication and cvs is allowing their pharmacist to discriminate and use personal reasons not to fill, when I spoke the corporate they said that if she doesn't feel comfortable she has the right to refuse and I asked why she didn't tell us that she didn't feel comfortable at first and instead she said she needed to transfer her profile from the previous pharmacy, when publix transferred the profile, she got another excuse, she said she needed to talk to the Dr, after the Dr confirmed that it was fine to fill it then she said she wouldn't fill it because she didn't feel comfortable, the truth is she didn't want to because when I told her that I get prescribed the same medicine and I fill it in that pharmacy she looked at me like is my choice not yours.
The point is that cvs corporate office is not supporting their customers, they completely disregarded me, they don't care about your suffering.
Cvs is bad business for patients period.
Long story short I am a disabled veteran who had basically all my physical freedoms taken away. I rely heavily now on doctors, nurses and family for about 70% of my needs. I moved to an area where CVS is the closest pharmacy and I have gone there on 4 separate occasions to try and have my prescriptions filled. Once the pharmacist that was on duty called to verify my prescription on speakerphone so all the people in line knew what my medication was but had no idea what it was for thus leaving plenty of opportunity for embarrassment and judgement. Another time I was flat out lied to about how to get my narcotic prescription and was told there was a waiting list and that the list was full. Another time I spoke directly to the pharmacist and explained that I was allergic to a certain prescription because of an ingredients one manufacturer uses as a buffer and thought everything was taken care of only to again be told the next day that they would not fill my prescription. Calls to managers, corporate offices, etc. have done nothing to help. I was actually never even contacted by anyone about my complaint. The last pharmacist told me he was going to call another CVS to see if they would help me because he said they had enough in stock and never called me back at all. The sad part is that the rest of my family all use them, or did use them and we have 11 people in the immediate family alone. I know we alone won't impact them at all and they probably don't even care but we will no longer be using them for ANYTHING, period. I can understand a mistake. We all make them and we are all human but to treat someone you know nothing about like a criminal instead of a customer just doesn't sit right with me.
Stay away from the CVS at 9455 Hammerly Blvd, Houston Tx. The Pharmacy Manager (Helena) tried to sell me the wrong prescription, and also told me she would not give me a refund if it was the wrong prescription. After she made me drive all the way home to, get my previous prescription to prove it was the wrong one. So I appeased her, she still refused to verify that the prescription was wrong, and she stated, "well maybe because its older, they may not make it any more." the prescription mysteriously appeared, but instead of apologizing, she went in the back, filled prescriptions for two other customers, then finally filled mine. The straw that broke the camels back though was when I asked the girl at the register, "can you confirm that my insurance information is up to date please?" gave her my card, and Helena, said, "what does he want now?" the cashier told her, and Helena told her not to check because "the brand the doctor ordered for me is out dated and not covered, charge him full price." So the cashier, never checked, charged me full price and went on her way. The incident was escalated to the "Houston Regional Leader," a man named "Akash Patel." Spoke with him one time about the incident, he promised he would follow up with me by today Thurday (Dec 24,2020), and I have yet to hear back from him. The several times I tried calling back, the calls went straight to VM, and I tried texting, and he blocked me. Do not give these people your business at all. They dont care about you, they are not putting patients first, like they should. Please spread the word. I will be posting this message on EVERY review site, including google and yelp, and the major ones. Let the people speak without words by avoiding CVS at all costs!
I wish they had more employees to help locate items. I tend to spend 20 minutes just looking for things.
A week or so ago, I gave them a refill bottle for 10 mg of Ambien. A few days later, they gave me a prescription bottle with 5 mg of Ambien. They said, "You'd been taking 5 mg. Have you discussed this dosage change with your doctor?"
It's like, "Yeah, but I'm travelling internationally in a week, and I suspect I might have jet lag. Not that that should matter, because my refill bottle isn't outdated and should be valid."
"Well, we have to check it out. Ambien is a controlled substance and we need to make sure your doctor approves."
"Um, all you should need is my valid, unexpired refill bottle."
"Yes, we agree you gave us such a bottle. But we just need to do our due diligence."
"So you're going to harass my doctor, who doesn't deserve to be bothered over this, because you don't want to admit you screwed up my prescription?" I asked.
"We didn't make a mistake. We just need to do our due diligence and make sure your doctor approves this."
"Then why didn't you let me know instead of filling this 5 mg refill on file?"
"It was on file, because it's the dosage you've been taking for the past two months."
"Yes, but I didn't request a refill of 5 mg," I insisted.
This left off with them promising to call and badger my poor doctor the next morning, after which they'd call my dad's landline (I don't use a cell phone) first thing and let him know what my doctor said.
Two days passed, and I finally sent my dad down to the pharmacy to see what was going on. (There had been no promised phone call.) When my dad was there, they finally picked up the phone and called my doctor. I guess prior to that, they were hoping the problem would magically disappear. Then my dad brought home the original prescription I'd requested of 10 mg.
And now, my dad wants to know why I'm still mad. "They filled the prescription!"
"Yeah, after you went down there two days later and made them do what they promised to do!" I swore.
So, being about as angry as possible, I'm giving them a 1-star review.
I ordered a couple of items here. All of them were delivered to me on time what I appreciate. Well, I can recommend it.
This place has been price gouging people now and it's causing people to be sick and die! I will be reporting them to the attorney General.
If I could give a lower rating I would!
I love using CVS's coupons and shopping in person, but when using their online site the order does not always go through, and if it does, they do not disclose that an item is "out of stock" until after the order is complete. Also if you need to make a change to an order, minutes after the order is placed, their customer service team will not be able to help you... so why have a customer service department? If you can't help to change or cancel an order then what is the point.
After my phone call to them (which I was very nice to the CSR) I tried reaching them by email, and they stated that since my order was "in process" they could not stop it... realize that I contacted them immediately after placing the order, because there was a mistake with the shipping address. But they "could not" help me.
CVS's management needs to update and revamp their online services. First, once the order is placed have the customer review the order with items, billing address and shipping address to confirm and verify. Second, their Customer Service Department should be able to amend an order within the first hour that an order was placed, or before delivery was picked up by shipping company. Third, their Customer Service Department should be able to cancel an order within the first hour that the order was placed.
They, CSR, told me their hands were tied and they could not help me. And informed me that I could reach out to UPS to update the shipping address. When I contacted UPS they stated that CVS assigned a tracking number, but they did not have the package within their possession as of yet. So I had to wait till they had the package. So, I contacted CVS again (by email) asking since they still had the package, why they could not update the shipping address or cancel the order, and they informed me again that they could not help me.
I will continue to shop within their store, but I will NEVER use their online shopping option. Within the last 3 months they have either canceled the order after placing it, or this time shipped it to the wrong address and could not assist me to update or cancel the order.
I recently bought a beauty product and they sent me a gift with it as well. Really great site i love it.
Pharmacists and pharmacy technicians, we are grateful for your hard work and dedication in improving the health and well-being of your patients.
It's okay. I like it but I dont. The thing with them is that I tried to collect their coupons but when I use them it never work.
They always have a great sales on baby products and great place to go quick shopping and great deal!
I will never go back to CVS in my area the woman in the pharmacy was so rude to me. I will be back tomorrow to transfer my prescriptions.
Hello everyone I wanted to thank CVS for hiring me to work at CVS for 2 years.

They are the only ones I know who sell these gluten enzyme pills. It's called "GlutenAid". They help digest it when I accidently have some gluten.
Answer: I have tried to speak to someone in their corporate office because I wasn't getting anywhere trying to reach a district manager or someone who was outside of the actual store since the manager was the problem and I was ignored just the same. I think they are so recognized and dominate so much of that market that they can afford to just let people complain and not do anything. I use Walgreen's even though they are a little more expensive I like that they treat their cus6with respect and they also respect their customer's privacy. The manager at the CVS near me called to verify my prescription on speakerphone up front so everyone could hear. I honestly believe they do not care if customers complain.
Answer: NOPE! CVS PRODUCTS ARE MARKED UP 3 TIMES HIGHER, THAN FOOD LION, BJs, WALMART, AMAZON. BED BATH BEYOND, WALGREENS, YOU CAN BUY THE SAME PRODUCTS AT THESES PLACES WITHOUT A COUPON AND GET IT CHEAPER!
Answer: Yes will never order online again very disappointed with the horrible cust svc
Answer: Can't wait for Amazon to get into pharmacy goods. CVS customers will flock to their service!
Answer: 10-20 minutes if you are picking up a prescription that's already filled (wasting in line). 30-45 if you drop it off + your normal 10-20 minutes in line.
Answer: Yes, you should do such!
