I've been playing this since 2012 and have won many items. It's a great way to purchase items at a low cost.

CHECKING? 10 second rule?

Well, I have one question that I would like answered.
Before I give any more stars.
And that question is what is with the 10 second bid not working when I'm the only bidder? The timer gets to 0 and a message flashes CHECKING.
Now the timer would be at 12+seconds if it continued to count down and BAM another bidder jumps in? That has happened 4+ times to me. I would like to know why the 10 second rule does not or is not allowed to apply in those situations?
Other than that it is an addictive experience
And I do enjoy the concept but until this CHECKING thing gets cleared up for me I cannot in good faith recommend anyone to deal dash.

Hi Charlie,

Thank you for your most honest, invaluable feedback here and I'm sorry to hear that you feel that way.

From what you have told me, it sounds like the web browser was not updating immediately. DealDash is one of the most reputable and trusted auction sites in the industry and all auctions are played with real bidders just like you trying to win a great deal. I'm sorry if this has caused you to think otherwise. As the site uses Internet as a medium, there is always the possibilities for lags, delays, network interruptions, etc.

In this case the system was checking for any booked BidBuddies from other members that it must activate and keep the auction running. I do know that no one has had any extra time or advantage to try and outbid you. In the case that you see the auction timer hit zero and you are not immediately congratulated with the fireworks animation, it may be the case that there’s a delay in automatically refreshing the website. I’d recommend quickly refreshing your browser to see if the auction has ended or not: either the auction is still ongoing and you still have a chance to participate in the auction, or you’ve actually won the auction.

One thing that may help is to keep other tabs, windows and browsers closed while bidding to help keep your computer running as quickly as possible. Also it is always good to use the BidBuddy when you can, as there is a system in place that will ensure your bid is placed even if there are any unexpected network interruptions or loading delays.

Fair & Honest is a symbolic capture of DealDash's core values, these values start and end with our commitment to being humanistic.

I would love to show this to you, as it seems you've had a negative experience. Please do not hesitate to get in touch with us directly, we are available 247 and we are always happy to help!

Worst auction experience of my life. I spent 6 hours bidding on an item. When the timer hit zero, I had the high bid. It congratulated another bidder and gave it to them. The next item I bid on, the time hit zero, I had the high bid again. There was a 2 second pause and then another bid came in and the time reset. Customer service said when the timer runs out Bid Buddy checks to see if it had to put in any bidsfor anyone. Deal Dash is a complete scam.

Hi Robin, I'm very sorry to hear about your negative experience. When someone has bids booked in their BidBuddy the auction can not end which is why the auction continued. We recommend using the BidBuddy because the majority of the auctions are won this way. Since you did not win an auction with your first bid pack, those bids have been returned to your account for a second chance. I'll be happy to help answer any questions you may have. Sincerely, Dave

I was skeptic initially to start using DealDash. I never tried any online site like this. After signing up I won a few items quickly so it kept me going. Then for a while I did not have much success. I was not winning hardly anything at all. But as I spent more and more time learning who is who and what strategies they follow, I occasionally won larger ticketed items. Then I learned different strategies and I started applying those. I am not going to lie, in order to win, you either have to have a lot of money or a lot of time; either way, however, it is possible to win big. I would say all the money I spent is probably only 1/3 of the value of items won. I am thrilled with the results. I also have to acknowledge I think very highly of customer service. They have been nothing short of fantastic. Well done!

Bidding on items on dealdash is half the fun. The items you win are worth the bidding because they are high quality. You need to read the rules before bidding to make it fair for all who you are bidding against. Dealdash wants to make the experience good for everyone.

Tip for consumers:
Don't get discouraged when bidding. Sometimes you will win with very few bids and other times if the item is real popular it will take a lot. Also you can try different times of the day to see when it is easier to win and fewer people are bidding.

Went to Dealdash.com to join. 2nd page said I could purchase 100 bids for $60.00 - when an Apple IPad sold for over 55.75 dollars, it sounds good but if you had to bid more than 100 bids, you would have already spent $60.00, Dealdash.com made $3,345.00 for all the bids on the IPad. If you look at how much it costs to bid 60 Cents per bid. Plus you have to pay the cost of the item, the things they sell in high demand cost way over the prices they are worth. Just beware when considering bidding. When it gets down to the last 10 seconds on an item, every bidder adds 10 seconds on the clock. I saw an item have 10 seconds left for over 2 hours. BEWARE the real cost.

We operate on the "pay to participate/bid model" so it's required that you purchase bids in advance. This loads up your account balance. You can check out our promotional bid pack prices here: https://www.dealdash.com/buybids

Each bid you place takes away one of your bids from your balance and increases the price of the auction by 1 penny, then resetting the clock to 10 seconds. It's in this small window that someone else must decide if they will place a bid to outbid you. If no new bids are placed and you are the final bidder in the auction, you win the auction at the final sales price.

If you do not win the auction, you will see the Buy It Now button. By using the Buy it now option, you will get the item for retail price and all the bids you used in that auction will be returned to your bid balance. Users who take advantage of this option usually have a better experience, since they get the item they initially wanted as well as retain all their bids. We always recommend our users to do the math, bid smart, and keep to a budget.

I have won several bids on Deal Dash, including a Galaxy Note 3, a New Air Ice Maker, a Cuisinart Convection/Microwave oven and of course several gift cards. I enjoy the challenge and I love getting what I need for much less than retail. It's fun and their customer service is awesome, they go above and beyond to make things right.

Tip for consumers:
Be sensible when bidding and enjoy.

How to win a penny auction
I own a penny auction and the truth is you can win a $3000. 00 tv for much less then $150.00 but first you must do a little home work, Research how much that tv went for the last three times only then will you know what time to start your biding, Next go to compeat.com to find out when the least anount of traffic is. Armed with this info go to
www.bid fellow. Com and sign up for a free bot that will give you up to the second info on what is happening with your auction and when to bid, the truth is swoopo is a fair auction, they don't cheat like bidstick and others. And no I don't own swoopo.

Don't let the ten second clock stump you everytime someone bids it resets and the last bidder wins, what you are trying to do is be the last one standing. I hope this helps, It is real inside info.

This is a really good place to go to get the best deals. What you see is what you get from bidding to winning. Not like some others out there. The shipping is fast too and FREE. Oh ya Did I Say It Is Fun Fun Fun.

Tip for consumers:
Watch for a while and check back at different times. Be prepared to buy what your bidding on so you can get your bids back.

I have been on Deal Dash about a year now. I joined earlier, but only started bidding about a year ago. The results have been great for me. In my home, there are so many things I have won, that I might need a bigger home. There are pitfalls to avoid, like it can be addicting, and there are certain bidders to avoid. Once you figure all this stuff out, it is a very competitive site. There is no feeling quite like winning an auction. Beware, though, of obsessing on an item, which I have done, and buying more bids to try to win it. It will probably appear again shortly. Patience must be used on this site. I won all of my Christmas presents on Deal Dash this year, and I would highly recommend it to friends and family.

Rating on dealdash is by invite only, and when you give honest constructive feedback you are no longer invited to rate products or your expierence, even when you ask to rate... they say it's random... so if you want to give a rating, you have to go to an bipartisan link... thanks.

I signed up to deal dash and added a credit card, I couldn't sign up without one, and as soon as I did, my account was charged $72. With some research, I did find a phone number for deal dash, and I was told they would cancel the charge. But fair warning, you can't sign up without paying. Just be aware.

I was impressed by DealDash when I had a situation arise while moving to a new home. I had just purchased (Buy it now) a Monster power bar for home theater and it was stolen by the movers. I kept the receipt which they took with it and I thought they might try to return it to Best Buy. I notified DealDash and Best Buy to watch for the return. DealDash was nice enough to replace it for me even though it was not their fault. That was excellent customer service!

I just spent 30.00 (200 points) on an item that was won for 8.00. It seems my Bid Buddy ran out at 7.99. What a ripoff! I ahve been outbid by 1 cent more than once. I now belive other posters who feel Dealdash is manipulated. I should have paid attention to these reviews before I joined.

Hi Jon, I'm sorry you were outbid in the auction. When no more bids are placed the auction sells to the highest bidder therefore the winner always will win by just 1 cent. Keep in mind there is a 100% money back guarantee on your first purchase if not satisfied for any reason. Just get in touch with customer support. Sincerely, David

Love the variety on this site, and the fact that it is on 24 hours a day. The only thing that would make it better is to limit overbidding by stopping that bidder at the BIN price. All the items I have won have been delivered on a timely basis and are of the highest quality.

Don't be fooled, it's not that easy! Your bidding the clock on 1 second then the site goes down auction suspended, when it comes back some one else won. These scheduled outages give others oppertunity to buy more bids thus prolonging the auction. Certian bidders always seem to win. Asking about it dealdash will only refund the first bid pack@ $36. Have tried this site multiple times with different products and the same thing keeps happening? The same people keep winning?... However dealdash will sell you the product outright this is thier answer to bidders who don't win.

What a waste. I bought into the same bogus story everyone else did after viewing the tv commercial. If they limit your wins to 3 per week, just how did the old women on the commercial winmore than 100 items in her first month? I bid on an item for 36 hours straight. There's no way the person bidding against me had that many bids to waste on the item - unless it was someone on the inside. There wasn't a single break in their bidding. Just save yourself the time and money and frustration and use ebay. I couldn't be more upset with dealdash.

Hi Rebecca, I'm sorry to hear you're not satisfied with your bidding experience. I'd like to help you as it's very disappointing for us to have an upset customer. Did you know we provide a full 100% money back guarantee on everyone's first purchase if not satisfied for any reason? We'll even let you keep any auctions you may have won without affecting your refund. Please send me your username in a message, email or live chat which can be found from our site and we'll be happy to get that processed for you.

Regarding the win limits, bidders are actually able to win 9 auctions per week (6 valued under $200 and 3 valued over $200). Furthermore all auctions come with a Buy it Now option. So, in case you don't win the auction, you can just buy the desired item at regular retail price and you'll get back all the bids used in the auction free to try again - we'll even ship your item for free.

As for speculation of someone bidding on the inside, I can assure you this is not the case. All bids are placed by real customers. Being fair, honest and putting the customers first represent our core values. Employees or family members of employees are not allowed to participate in the auctions and we are audited by professional third party CPA's to examine records. We're the longest operating site of our kind in the USA and are excited to pioneer new and exciting ways people can interact and shop online for great deals. If you want to learn more we are always happy to help so feel free to get in touch. Sincerely, David

Business History

Established in 2009, DealDash is the longest operating site of its kind in the United States. Before DealDash was founded, millions of Americans tried out 1st generation bidding fee auctions. These first generation auctions left many people with a poor experience.

After one such letdown experience, spending $50 on a pay-to-participate auction site with nothing to show for it, our founder decided to create a fair and honest alternative to bidding fee auctions, where losing bidders don’t have to lose the money they spent bidding. That is how Deal Dash was born in 2009. Today, over 1,000 brand named products are discovered and won by customers every day!

Bid in our online auctions to catch a deal and if you don't win the auction, you can buy it now and keep on bidding!
