Ebay sorted my problem in full and deserve 5 stars as they are fair in the end. Thank Mr Ebay. Please do stop such practices adopted by sellers as that will increase public confidence.
A seller reported a package delivered to my address. We do not have USPS delivery here everything is left at our local office or PO Box when possible. I continued to check the post office for over a week with the postmaster. The package never arrived. I contacted the seller who said it was signed for, but it was never signed for because I am the only one who signs for anything or checks the mail. Ebay closed the case telling me no refund would be sent. There is no way this package was ever delivered, and absolutely no way I signed for it. Ebay is supposed to provide Buyer protection. They do not! I will never use Ebay again.
I been with Ebay for 3 years now as a buyer. My advice as a buyer, and as a seller too, would be to do your homework on the person you want to bid or buy from, sell to. By what I mean by homework is, look at percentage number next to there name, this tells you out of 100 percent what they measure up to. Look at what other customers say about them. I have followed this rule, and only only 2 bad experiences in which Ebay compensated me. My personal rule, I do not deal with anyone with a lower than 99 percent!
EBay is a scam and a joke, doesn't surprise me they have lost a couple billion and are going to eventually crash, and every year gets worse and worse in losses. I was a loyal customer over 20 years no negative feedback, always 100% positive and permanently suspended my account when someone hacked my account and I reported it and they permanently suspended me when I was the victim who had to fight all the charges and horrible customer service from eBay. They never gave me a reason just got rid of me. And not one negative thing on my record ever with over 500 positive transactions. Don't waste your time with eBay!
Tip for consumers:
Beware waste of time and scammers

The biggest problem here is that this site hasn't got a review section like others have. Sometimes it's difficult to understand how some product is made and the quality of it just by looking at the photos in the description box; and even when there are plenty of photos in it you're never sure if the seller just stole them from another shop. It's a little bit confusing if you plan on buying something that doesn't come from a well-known brand. Some products are cheap but the quality is good, some others are just terrible. I didn't have any particular bad experience with Ebay, you just have to be careful and read everything the seller writes and also try to buy things that were also bought from a lot of other customers.
I'm not sure how anyone could ever rate this site lower than 5 stars. Obviously new users who have no idea how to use the site. You can find everything on the site, and if the seller screws something up or lies about something, eBay will cover you and get your money refunded. No complaints in over 10 years of use.
Ebay just updated their listing terms. Not only does it limit the number of free listings you get a month, but it offers little to absolutely no incentive for auction style listings whatsoever... unless, of course, you're willing to open an Ebay store at top dollar so you can get a $. 05 discount per listing. I plan to keep using Ebay for purchases because I live in small town America, but as a independent seller it just isn't worth it anymore.
Tip for consumers:
Great for purchases, but, with the latest policy update, it's officially not worth it to be an independent seller on the site.
Don't trust Ebay! They remove listings AFTER you paid for an item without letting you know constantly, which indicates that many of their sellers are scammers! I had multiple items removed by Ebay after I bought them and had to fight to get my money back... their guarantee is a joke!
I had booked an item and got a message that it will be delivered on specific date, but haven't received yet, call made to cc department but lines are continuous busy and calls are disconnected by cc executives.
Payments are accepted very fast, but the delivery queries are not reverted back...
I would never ever again purchase anything from ebay.in and will recommend same to everyone. They know it well that middle class buyer cannot do anything against them. They know how to cheat people in legal way. Please try to avoid e-commerce purchase. Ebay is one of the worst e-commerce company.
I have had the worst experience with eBay, from not depositing my money correctly, to upsetting my buyer that was trying to buy my product by not handling their money correctly, to their customer service lying and stating that they would perform transactions that never happened, to them charging me fees for transactions that never took place. I would recommend NOT to do business with ebay. It is constant confusion, it is outdated systems, and somehow your money gets robbed from you in the midst of all this confusion.
To be frank there is a lot of greatness in buying and maybe selling on ebay, but some things are just not ok. I had a seller take advantage of me by selectively marketing his product as one thing when it was another. When I complained he literally threatened me and wrote a very immature and profanity filled message to me. To which eBay did nothing!
Another time I started selling things and they have hidden fees, they could easily and clearly detail. After I sold the items, I got a bill for over $100 for several extra things I was not aware. It's too easy for them to show you an added expense in the process for anyone to be surprised, but they don't. So don't be surprised when you get billed after the fact.
Beware of scam seller here, do your due diligence carefully before you make payment.
Ask the seller question before you buy any stuff online. If no response, don't buy it!
Do not simply take for granted and assume everything is fine.
There are good seller but you just got to be more alert, just an advice:)
Take care
I have been a member since 1997 and had 596 transactions. Once I did not receive my purchase and this was in the days before the protections we now have. Quality has been an issue a few times, but to me it was just a case of "buyer beware" because I made assumptions. I have received many items from China. They offer free shipping and it costs $30 to ship from US. You do the math!
I never do my feedback until I receive the package. On the whole I am happy with eBay and hope to do transactions for another 17 years.
Tip for consumers:
Read the description. Often what is not there is as important as what it there. Pet free means just that! Don't expect it to be smoke free unless it specifies.
How these companies are allowed to perform as they do is well beyond me. Since ebay has taken over managing everyone's funds in somewhat of an obtrusive manner. Now adding insult to injury they continue to manipulate their fee structure. Not only do buyers pay sales tax now but for sellers it is ridiculous. Ebay charges a total of 14.3% of the total sale which include the sale price, tax, and shipping. So yes ebay is charging fees against sale tax that buyers pay and again finding another way to add to their bottom line. The government has their nose in every country but our own which allows companies like ebay and Amazon just to name a few to continue not only questionable business practices but possibly illegal ones.
Ive bought a lot of different items off of ebay and so far no issues. Usually one of the cheapest places to find things as well. If you order something out of country the shipping time is a little longer but its worth it for the price you pay! Highly recommended!
Have been a long time shopper here. As with any online shopping place we have run into a few mishaps which have always been quickly resolved. Just recently however, we bought a classic Nintendo video game. This seller said it was a five screw, when it arrived it was a three screw. Anyone who buys older videos games knows this is a huge issue. Due to my forgetfulness I missed the return by date and thought I was stuck with the game. EBay however decided to refund my money and did not require me to return the game! Simply wow!
Tip for consumers:
Exceptional service, highly recommend!
Ebay is the worst. They talk about seller protection but when I needed them most, they turned against me. They were supposed to help me with a fraudulent buyer and decided to change their minds after the fact and believed the liar. Take my advice, don't use them to sell, instead find your local selling service. They're not worth the fees either. After selling with them for 5 years I would have expected better and fair treatment
Not only the seller refused to reimburse the return shipping cost he had agreed before I mailed the item back to him and paid the shipping cost, but also eBay was unwilling to fulfill its co-called "Money Back Guarantee Program" that a seller should be responsible for return shipping cost if the item is defective or not as described. Very bad experience! A junk yard for gold diggers!

This has become a terrible place to shop. Everything I have ordered over the last 2 years has either been defective, misrepresented. Or just did not show up. The shipping costs are ridiculously high and I am not impressed with the customer service.
Tip for consumers:
Always check the seller rating

Very bad customer service. Be careful if you want to buy something expensive. EBay is protecting their money not yours! If they are losing $ they not gonna be on your side! Make people sell fake items as real and eBay supports them!
I'm absolutely disgusted with eBay times are really hard, and when I finally sold an item to get money to bye food they put the money on hold refused to release it. I had to cancel the order and refund money back cost in me a seller they didn't care at all on want they had done,I've close account and advice everyone please do not let this happen to you.
After 7+ years, 1000's of transactions, 100% feedback, top rated status, etc... their support for buyers is fine, assuming the buyer is the least bit responsible, but terrible for sellers, even if you are perfect/flawless they expect you to take losses when nothing is your fault, they do everything to protect themselves first, then the buyer, and seller comes last 99% of the time. Buyers easily get what they want but sellers are denied justice and held hostage by "departments" that will not take calls (afraid to deal with "us").
And the worst part is, even if you do what an "agent" says, they can still rob you blind with their automated system, and are forced to wait forever for their appeals department to get back to you, costing you more time than the item was even worth, and even then no guarantees.
I bought a fake PDM Cassili and needed to return. Customer service center assisted to get me full refund! Due to multiple complaints about authenticity that seller left ebay and now successfully selling fakes on mercari. EBay policy helps to protect their buyers!
EBay has some nice clothes at some nice prices. Even though they don't always make a good bargain I still shop online from there. I'm actually pretty surprised about the variety of clothes and other items to buy from it. I have ordered many and never disappointed.
I am reviewing Ebay as a seller; Ebay.com charges a much higher seller fee than one would think based on their advertising. They seem as though they are letting you list your items for free, but at the end of the month, you get charged a sellers fee, which is not clearly laid out in my opinion. I say this to allow someone else to beware of this. I do appreciate the way they protect buyers and I like their privacy they offer and the avenues for communication between buyer and seller.
I have had a number of transactions that went smoothly with this site. However, just like any sales platform, there are a number of sellers who are waiting to scam you. Sure, you get some sweet deals IF your order arrives and is exactly what you ordered.
