“Ebay to my rescue!”

Ebay sorted my problem in full and deserve 5 stars as they are fair in the end. Thank Mr Ebay. Please do stop such practices adopted by sellers as that will increase public confidence.

“Ebay did not honor guarantee”

A seller reported a package delivered to my address. We do not have USPS delivery here everything is left at our local office or PO Box when possible. I continued to check the post office for over a week with the postmaster. The package never arrived. I contacted the seller who said it was signed for, but it was never signed for because I am the only one who signs for anything or checks the mail. Ebay closed the case telling me no refund would be sent. There is no way this package was ever delivered, and absolutely no way I signed for it. Ebay is supposed to provide Buyer protection. They do not! I will never use Ebay again.

I have been an ebay member for 22 years and have over 10k, 100% feedback. I have seen their policies change over time. They no longer have a method for protecting sellers from buyer fraud. I'm not like some of these reviewers who don't understand their seller requirements. I had a good thing going for a long time. But there is zero protection for me now, and that is a problem.

Today on a call with a rep, I was told too bad, so sad for an item a buyer switched out. They don't have a way to allow pictures to be uploaded for proof after a buyer returns the wrong item, but they won't do anything without proof. The software doesn't allow sellers to upload pictures with a report of a buyer misusing returns, but they are supposed to somehow consider what I wrote, without any proof. Really no different than the phone call I was on, where I was told, again, nothing without proof. And I get it, I have proof but they don't allow you to upload it. I was told I could send the pictures through an email, and hopefully they will connect it to the report I submit (with no proof) that goes to another department. When I asked why seller protection changed for the worse, he mumbled something about partial refunds, indicating that he didn't understand the question or was just blowing me off. This was an English speaking rep too. Each year I watched seller friends say no more and leave for other platforms. It may soon be my time to go as well. I know that ebay doesn't care about me. I'm here to warn new sellers who hear stories from the past and mistakenly believe that they will be protected as sellers. There are predatory buyers who know new sellers aren't up to speed on the ins and outs of a scam. And now, ebay no longer has your back. I was given a 'courtesy' coupon that did not cover the full cost of the item stolen, and scolded that it won't happen again. Yeah, thanks, I'll try to recognize fraudulent buyers before they purchase from me next time. I have had less than 10 buyers like this over 22 years, but I'm the one getting the warning. If they don't care about a 22 year long customer, they certainly don't care about you. Sell your stuff somewhere else.

Tip for consumers:
Don't sell on ebay. They do not protect their sellers from fraud anymore.

From today i leave ebay (BUYER FOR MORE THAN 6yrs) because they just told me i was not a good buyer because i was not folowing their policy. In the past years (3yrs back) i had fewer problems with ebay because 3/10 packages were missing or delay and i didn't even want to take refund or email the sellers. The past 2 years, i was 7/10 packages missing or dellay and when i mean dellay 6or more months. And a lot of them was bad quality, not as subscribe and a lot of mistakes were made or even damaged! Instead of giving a new policy for the buyers because we loose our money for scammers they ban the buyers for buying. I am not going to buy again because they change the policy good for sellers to sell more junk and fake packages and buyers say "thanks" or banned! They told me i was doing report or refund/return request sooner than the old days and i told them the truth. I am not raiting generaly but i realy feel so bad for ebay because the buyers will leave in sometime. More than 1000€ all this time!

JUST A FRAUD AND WASTING OF TIME... They gave me a coupon wotth 250, which can be used on a minimum putchase of 350. I had ordered a micro sd card worth 489, they said to deliver it within 10 days. But when i didnt gt it till 20 days, i call them and enquired about my product, they said it will reach within few days and it is with the courier company (Aramex), so i call the courier Aramex and that bull $#*! courier company keeps promising me that they will deliver my product as soon as possible and these courier company took 20 days (in 20 days i call them for 15-18 times) and after 20 days they sent me a text saying that my product has taken back by the seller and if i want to get my product then i had to contact ebay,
I call e bay and said about my problem they said me that i will gt my product by raising e bay guarantee claim, i claimed it and got a paisa pay id. They said that they will contact me within 5 days bt even after 15 days they didnt, so i call them and asked about my e bay guarantee claim then they said that they will not provide my product. So after wasting my 2 months of time and money on phone calls, i got nothing... so please beware of such frauds.

I recently better than item and within 3 minutes of ordering I found the exact same item for $20 cheaper on eBay I tried to cancel the first order and they said order rejected how can they reject an order when it was only placed 3 minutes prior and it was evening at that it wasn't like the company slept a shipping label on it and put it in the outbox in those 3 minutes so I ended up stuck with two items instead of only one when I tried to return the first one the more expensive one I immediately got a phone call from the seller begging me to keep the item literally begging me to keep it and they would discount me it started at $20 then $40 it ended up being a $60 discount but I ended up with two items that I only wanted one of I felt so damn guilty I went ahead and accepted the $60 discount and it was all because eBay rejected the cancellation order eBay what are you doing to sellers that make them beg me to keep an item at a discounted rate you guys have gotten to be a joke. Buyers beware canceling an item is not as simple as it used to be especially in the first 5 minutes.

I used to be very pleased with eBay services, not any more... It's all lies, eBay doesn't protect buyers it's a scam. The buyers can't even get in contact with eBay customer service, witch is horrendous by the way, eBay throw at us the pull down choices (that we use) hopping that WE can resolve OUR problem... REALLY? SHOULD THAT BE CUSTOMER SERVICE'S JOB?... any way we do it and the results are obvious... we don't get any where TRY TO GET YOUR HARD WORK MONEY FROM A SELLER, THAT YOU PAID... AND GET NOTHING IN RETURN. I'M TRYING SINCE JANUARY 2017, eBAY TOLD ME TO CONTACT THE SELLER FIRST... AGAIN SHOULDN'T THIS BE CUSTOMER SERVICE'S JOB?
1st Contact. Nothing
2nd Contact. Seller says is going to refund my money
Waited 3 weeks passed
3th Contact Nothing
Tried to Contact eBay that claims that if a buyer doesn't get the issue resolved eBay will step in (on what?... By now I have a few ideas)
4th Contact with seller. Nothing.
Try then contact eBay costumer service (the joke was on me), good luck with it, SURPRISE eBay doesn't even provide a phone number. THERE IS NO WAY TO CONTACT eBAY.
PROBABLY NO ONE IS GOING TO SEE THIS, BUT WE ARE ON THE 21st CENTURY AND THERE IS SO MANY WAYS
TO BE HEARD AND CAUTION ALL THAT USES eBAY.

I used to use eBay as a kind of on-line Filene's Basement store, and was quite happy with it until the past several months. I have received two defective items and one that does not fit, and I am having a heck of a time getting my money refunded on all of these. One is a steam vacuum cleaner that broke the third time I used it. The seller said they wouldn't refund my money; that since I'd had it for four months I had to go through the warranty process. In doing this I found out that this vacuum is from 2010, is no longer manufactured, and almost no service center services it anymore. I found one that does service this model and took the vacuum to them; they are to get back to me on repair price, but the vacuum is still under warranty so the warranty may take care of it. My preference was just to get my money refunded and I am going through this process under duress by the seller. The other item is a purse from China that arrived with a broken zipper. The seller made me take a photo of the zipper and then dunned me to change my negative to a positive review. Another Chinese seller whose product never arrived also has dunned me to change a negative to a positive review. Finally, I ordered a leather vest described as being a size 8 "small to medium." When it arrived it turned out to be more like a size 4. But the seller refuses to take the vest back and eBay is siding with the seller because the designation "8" appears on the label. But the vest is NOT as described. It is made for a child or a small teenager and I'm a grown woman who have to hold my arms up and then lower the vest onto them to put it on. In all three cases any legitimate store would have accepted the item back and refunded my money. I have bought many, many items on eBay and in giving me all this grief eBay has lost a very good customer. BTW: I note that there are many similar complaints against the company.

Absolutely disgusting.
Sellers havent got a leg to stand on even when theyre in the right.
Sold an item with an accurate description but because the buyer decided she didnt like the item, I had to pay for return postage, even though in their policies it states when an item is incorrectly described the seller has to pay for return postage. I told the seller to just keep the item as Id rather not pay an extra £3 for an item I wouldnt not even receive back anyway because my old address from 2 years ago were on it, even though I changed it on my eBay account when I moved! But she sent the item back anyway, so Im out of pocket with my item, my money and postage just because the buyer decided it wasnt her style.
When seeking help from eBay I was told to just go out and collect it from an eBay advisor without any concern that this may not actually be even possible?
Disgusting and inconciderate. All they seem to say is apologies this much be a discouraging experience so patronising and they couldnt give a flying pig.
Ive been an eBay member daily for over 7 years and never have I been treated the way I have been treated by a company before.
I will be sending a complaint for what its worth and will be deleting my account.
AVOID. THERE ARE MUCH BETTER SELLING SITES OUT THERE WITH BETTER CUSTOMER SERVICE

WHY DOES EBAY HAVE CUSTOMER SERVICE IF THEY DON'T PROVIDE CUSTOMER SERVICE! THEY SAY MONEY BACK GUARANTEED BUT THAT'S BULL$#*!. YOU HAVE TO JUMP THROUGH ALL THESE HOOPS BEFORE THEY'LL EVEN ATTEMP TO GIVE YOU YOU'RE MONEY BACK! CUSTOMER SERVICE IS A JOKE! THEY HAVE NO POWER TO DO $#*!! THEY INSTRUCT YOU ON WHAT TO DO IF THIS HAPPENS OR THAT HAPPENS. KIND OF LIKE THE HELP BUTTON ONLINE. IT'S RIDICULOUS. THIS WAS ONLY THE 2ND TIME I PURCHASED SOMETHING THAT I WILL NEVER RECEIVE BECAUSE IT WAS SENT TO THE WRONG ADDRESS! THE FACT THAT THESE IDIOTS DON'T ASK YOU BEFORE YOU SUBMIT A PURCHASE... IS THIS THE CORRECT SHIPPING ADDRESS? LIKE THEY DO EVERYWHERE ELSE I'VE PURCHASED ONLINE IS $#*!ING STUPID! I WILL NEVER AGAIN PURCHASE A DAME THING OFF EBAY! FIRST GET SOME REAL CUSTOMER SERVICE THAT HAS THE ACTUAL POWER TO HELP. CUSTOMER SERVICE WHO CAN CHANGE SHIPPING INFO IF NEEDED, CUSTOMER SERVICE WHO CAN SEND THE SELLER MESSAGES WHEN STUFF LIKE THIS HAPPENS. NOW I HAVE TO WAIT A MONTH AND SEE IF MAYBE I RECEIVE ITEM AND THEN FILE A DISPUTE OF SOME SORT STATING I NEVER RECIEVED ITEM AND IF MY CASE MAKES SENSE TO THEM MAYBE JUST MAYBE I'LL GET MY MONEY BACK. MONEY BACK GUARANTEED HA! I CALL BULL$#*!!

I started selling on ebay to get rid of a milk glass collection. I was scammed by a buyer who would not send pictures of the damaged item I shipped her and they she asked ebay to step in even though I had been on the phone with them multiple times following exactly what they told me to do, but even though they knew that I didn't have what I needed for insurance, they told the buyer to send the shattered glass and unbroken items back in one box. When I called them because I wasn't able to get the insurance since the buyer didn't provide what I needed, and told them they were instructing the buyer to send back shattered glass with the unbroken part of the item, they told me it was not their problem and they would not help me.

Fast forward to shipping the item. I changed the address on my account and even have a confirmation email stating that it was changed. They had the buyer ship it back to a past address. When I called them to ask for assistance, they told me that I needed to contact USPS even though I shipped the package to the buyer UPS and work with them to get it. Now I am out the item and the insurance money because eBay would not pay attention to my previous conversations before they sided with the scam buyer and have now taken the money out of my account to reimburse the buyer even though I don't have the package and even though I just spoke with them last night and was told they were extending the time to refund until I could get resolution for the lost package. If you are selling valuable items, do not use an ill reputed company like ebay as you will definitely be screwed by them. They make money off of the seller but treat us as we are the villians.

I buy 2 knives from MTECH USA on http://www.kyknives.com/ nice picture normal price, not high, not low for this item. Very good quick delivery. But both knives it completely fake. Instead of blade it completely dull peace of cast-work, that can't cut at all, even fresh fruits
And this it answer
"""Sir, the knife is as described. You leave negative for no reason, we block your bidding forever. These are not fake items. They are just as descibed. If you put anything different, you will be liable for damages. We cannot allow people to make false claims. We owe it to other ebay sellers to stop people who make false claims against sellers. """"
Yes i can return it but with25%restocking fee+ in Brooklyn go to post office it mean waist 1-2 hr in line paid for shipping, so what i need it if in the end i loose money
I buy some knifes, some of them sure, not razor sharp", but so dull it first time. Even regular credit card cut apple easyaly than knife from KYKNIVES. IMHO item that in description named knife must at least cut? Isn't so?

Verified purchase

On Feb 12,2021, I bought a refurbished computer on eBay https://www.ebay.com/usr/nexuspcs (Specs: 48 GB RAM VR Gaming PC Desktop Computer Intel i7512 GB SSD NVIDIA GTX 1060).

Almost immediately there were issues. When I first turned on the computer, I heard a loud beep. There was an error message that read hit F11 to log into windows. The seller said something was loose after looking at the screenshots I uploaded. The seller offered to show me how to fix this minor problem by opening the case, but I declined when he said the computer would work just fine without the fix. I should have known better.

One month later, the hard drive died. The seller mailed another drive, but I had to pay $90 to have it installed. A computer tech said it wasn't the best drive, but adequate. Three weeks later, however, I got two blue screens while the computer automatically fixed the problem.

The computer continued to periodically freeze until it no longer loaded windows at all. What a bummer. I have had several refurbished computers over the years, but never one that died less than 3 months. For $815 I expected the computer to last much longer. I contacted the seller about the situation, but he didn't respond. EBay closes feedback comments after 60 days. So the seller behaved as if he had nothing to lose by ignoring me. He got paid. So why should he care if the junk he sold me broke down? I had bought this computer based on the 100% feedback from eBay which now I believe does not really reflect reality.

Worse yet, when I searched for a website for this business, I found a free website that is even formatted for use.

I now have to mail a heavy computer to San Francisco for mechanical repairs. Obviously, the hardware used to build this computer was faulty. Meantime, I had to spend an additional $300 to update my older computer while I wait for this computer to be repaired. Buyer Beware. You just can't trust all these great reviews anymore. If you want a refurbished computer, go local or with one of the major brand companies.
