Ebay sorted my problem in full and deserve 5 stars as they are fair in the end. Thank Mr Ebay. Please do stop such practices adopted by sellers as that will increase public confidence.
A seller reported a package delivered to my address. We do not have USPS delivery here everything is left at our local office or PO Box when possible. I continued to check the post office for over a week with the postmaster. The package never arrived. I contacted the seller who said it was signed for, but it was never signed for because I am the only one who signs for anything or checks the mail. Ebay closed the case telling me no refund would be sent. There is no way this package was ever delivered, and absolutely no way I signed for it. Ebay is supposed to provide Buyer protection. They do not! I will never use Ebay again.
I've been a Ebay user for years... Ever since they started charging 10% for every item you sold, I gave up on them. I'ts nearly impossible to profit anything with that 10% fee. Not to mention all the other fees that come with it (final shipping fee & Paypal fee). Ebay is a great place to Buy. But not to sale anymore. I'll only sale things i don't need anymore, kind of like a garage sale. But to start a business in buying and selling, I won't be using Ebay.
EBay has some nice clothes at some nice prices. Even though they don't always make a good bargain I still shop online from there. I'm actually pretty surprised about the variety of clothes and other items to buy from it. I have ordered many and never disappointed.
I am reviewing Ebay as a seller; Ebay.com charges a much higher seller fee than one would think based on their advertising. They seem as though they are letting you list your items for free, but at the end of the month, you get charged a sellers fee, which is not clearly laid out in my opinion. I say this to allow someone else to beware of this. I do appreciate the way they protect buyers and I like their privacy they offer and the avenues for communication between buyer and seller.
Placed an order 1st week of Sept. For one item, charged 4 times by seller (wheel parts Humble Tx). I received 4 items instead of the 1 I ordered. I returned the 3 items I didn't order and and it was received 2 days later. Ebay advised me to contact the seller which is a PO Box. With no contact info. This will be my last ebay purchase and I will be moving on to consumer affairs In my home state.
Really guys a 30 day hold for a sold item? How do you think this affects feedback? I can't put a positive feed back until I get the money at that point it would be to late. I would never in good conscience sell another item with you guys only to wait a month to get paid!

Selling on e bay for more than a decade. It is getting worse and worse. Buyers take advantage of 14 days return policy. I DO NOT recommend e bay to anyone, high fees, bad and cheap buyers. When there is a case open against a seller, e bay always takes side of the buyer. If buyer says item defected, e bay accept it without hearing of the seller site and apply it to the seller performance rating. How someone with more than 200 positive feedback could be below standard? Because of buyers disputes, which never tell the truth, they just want to give an excuse to return the item. Etsy is my favorite place to sell.
Tip for consumers:
Do Not sell on e bay because of number of returns
I would not do any business with eBay if I were anyone. The sellers on there are allowed to harass buyers after the buyer has asked them to stop emailing them. There is no way to block them from contacting a person. I was called trailer trash, stupid, and lazy by a seller and eBay did nothing about it. That was it for me. I closed my eBay account. Go elsewhere if you want better value, customer service, and no harassment.
I've been an ebay user in good standing with perfect feedback for over 20 years. I even excused a $2,000 loss years ago when they found in a seller's favor over an inoperable item I bought and returned. However, I currently refuse to do any buying or selling on ebay because they forced me to refund a large amount of money for an item I auctioned off, AFTER the winning bidder received the item. Did the winning bidder give me my money back? Nope. Is that ebay user still on eBay? Yep. Ebay has more rules and loopholes than any other similar platform and they WILL burn you if you deviate even a little bit.
Tip for consumers:
Don't do it.
I love eBay. Its the best online auction/thrift store. I think its great when you use PayPal, because you're protected when buying or selling. You have to be careful though, and not get carried away on bidding! ;)
Ebay is HORRIBLE! Customer service sucks! Website sucks! They just refer you to someone else because they can't figure out the simple issues... I tried 6 times... and they can't even help me set up a basic account!
Tip for consumers:
Use another site

Leaving negative feedback is not stellar on this site, as Ebay simply allows seller with countless complaints against them to set up new accounts, and therefore allows poor sellers to remain unaccountable. If feedback is worthless and your just going to allow them to assume an new name to duck negative feedback, not helping customers determine who good and bad sellers are. And customers can't steer away from for the few dishonest sellers on the site. Feedback on the site used to count for something an actually be a guarantee that one was dealing with a dishonest seller. Buyer protection and the Ebay Money Back Guarantee are sometimes effective. I will be shopping at Etsy in the future more than Ebay as the Feedback counts for something. They immediately take care of issues.
Why you have so poor service as even we get missed call from ebay customer care instead of full call. Cant they call fully. In case refunding damage item or duplicate item... ebay just make fool to customer and dont response to them properly just ignore us as me... i face such a problem after ordering an item on ebay...
I made a purchase from a seller on ebay for some car mats that were listed to fit my car's make, model, year, trim, etc. When they arrived, they did not fit. Seller wouldn't respond to return request. EBay closed my request for return stating seller does not accept returns. Now, sellers can list anything they want with any description and have no accountability for grossly inaccurate listings. Buyers have no recourse. That's the last time I buy anything from eBay. I highly suggest that you look elsewhere for what you're shopping for.
Tip for consumers:
eBay allows sellers to list items with grossly inaccurate descriptions and will not assist if a seller refuses to accept returns.

I have bought a bunch of guitars off eBay. NEVER again! Everything is 25% too high! You get it and the description is close? At best! It's like buying stuff from yard sale, sight unseen. You are SO much better off going to a store and making sure it's what you want no S&H maybe even on sale! Never again!
I've purchased my college books from this site. And other personal books, DVD's and music CD's. After shopping around, I find that all in, the price is always the best on this site, since I have more than 50 selling offers to choose from.
Shipping is media mail fast, and returns are easy to work with, since it's using an Ebay account to make the purchase here at www.Half.com.
Try them in comparison shopping. Classic site, that works.
"I will never use eBay again. I suggest you don't either. I ordered 3 things from 3 different resellers and none of them ever arrived even though their tracking states it was delivered. EBay then advised that I was not entitled to a refund. This is the worst customer experience of any kind that I have ever had to deal with. I feel like I have been stolen from and there nothing I can do about it. "
Getting tired of ebay allowing fraud... It's a great place for people who are trying to screw you to make money...! Ebay says your protected, but I don't see it. I understand the website is huge and hard to keep track of. But you'd think they'd try a little harder.
We are not an E-commerce site/store, this is not a full-time gig for us, we run another business, this was our very first item. The buyer ended up siting two things "Item not as described" and later "Item defective", both were not true and inaccurate. Ebay forced the return and when we got the box back, items worked fine but we were missing items, Ebay said they could not help with that (of course). They gave the buyer a refund but then claimed ignorance when we were missing items. The Buyer was believed on everything, the Seller nothing.
Oh well, now I know why people are switching to Amazon.
Sellers please avoid eBay for high priced items. My account is 15 years old and my last high priced item was sold over 90 days ago so eBay decided to hold the funds for 30 days(and that is when you have done nothing wrong as a seller). You have to wait a whole month to get your money and for nothing.
I am not a business just an individual seller getting rid some of my personal things so you would think that you do that please you needed money right? So then I've gone through a chat session with a rep pretty much repeating generic sentence out of their QA saying it's to protect buyer. So what about sellers? You are taking 15% commission and doing nothing good for us. You think this kind of $#*!ty platform is worth 15% commission out of your sales? Avoid at all cost!
I purchased an item & returned it with tracking, Ebay says no refund coming, because of seller sending wrong item. They say it's my fault that the seller sent wrong item. My advise stay away so far E Bay has stolen $90.00 from me with no recourse. Uncaring, corrupt, company.
I bought 5 items off eBay and three arrived and two have not. When I filed a complaint with EBay they immediately message me back saying they are not responsible. Funny when I did my MBA courts usually hold the guy taking the money accountable to ensure the other party provides the product. So I'm filing in small claims court in Canada there judges don't like it when a large company profits off of working people considering they charged my card and took their money and didn't make sure the seller sent the product. Do not use EBay they don't care and are working with criminals committing fraud.
Below are two orders that mysteriously were shipped on December 21 other orders shipped on the 23 made it here and I even tried to cancel one order and get my money back EBay told me to try and work out a deal. So even when you cancel a deal EBay won't refund your money.
Tip for consumers:
Stay away from EBay I have stage 4 cancer and I was collecting watch boxes for the watches I don’t have to leave to my kids and grandson. But EBay too that away from me

I got screwed by EBay, don’t buy anything on EBay. Wish with its Chinese knockoff things is more reputable.
As almost everyone knows, ebay has high seller fees which has made a lot of sellers leave, which leaves most of the seller's from overseas. The shipping charges some sellers utilize is absolutely astounding... crazy high, I mean, there is no way that a bottle of nail polish costs $8 to ship or a shirt ships for $12, but because ebay allows any shipping to be entered you will encounter eye popping prices, so, if you factor in high fees and higher shipping costs, ebay isn't really a great option. Now to be fair not all sellers gouge on shipping and you can get a great deal, but they are few and far between. Unless of course you buy from China, which is the majority of sellers, than you can get a fantastic deal, but it is from China, so most likely to be low quality and a two month wait to receive if you receive it. Overall, it's okay but not my first or second choice in online buying.
I have posted something to sell on eBay, but my eBay account suddenly getting hacked. Weird bids and messages started floating. So any transaction is considered bogus and fraud even if it looks legitimate. I have tried to cancel eBay account, but I am unable to. I am suspecting eBay itself involved. This is happening again and again, so I am completely quitting buying and selling on eBay. You all just wait for your turn.
Ebay steal from ppl who try and sell their product. I had to pay shipping and handling and so did the buyer, that is so unfair. Also they use paypal to get paid and they are a headache. Both ebay and paypal need to burn they have ppl who cant even give u the right info and lie to customers. I will never buy or ever sell on ebay ior deal with paypal its been two weeks and i still havent gotten paid for selling my galaxy s9 unbelievable how ebay still exist stealing and lying
EBay now makes you put your checking account information into your seller account purportedly to make paying your easier. Well guess what? It also makes stealing from sellers easier. EBay stole $933 direct from my checking account and despite recognizing their mistake and promising to repay me in 24 hours I have received no money and this was almost one week ago. Sellers beware! I will spend the rest of my life telling people how horrible eBay is to their loyal sellers.
