A seller reported a package delivered to my address. We do not have USPS delivery here everything is left at our local office or PO Box when possible. I continued to check the post office for over a week with the postmaster. The package never arrived. I contacted the seller who said it was signed for, but it was never signed for because I am the only one who signs for anything or checks the mail. Ebay closed the case telling me no refund would be sent. There is no way this package was ever delivered, and absolutely no way I signed for it. Ebay is supposed to provide Buyer protection. They do not! I will never use Ebay again.

I m using eBay for almost 20 years. A Trusted agent for both seller and buyer. Especially after I have many transactions on the site I became their eBay concierge member meaning if I need customer service I don't need to be on long hold. They will answer calls in mins. It's safe to purchase or sell on this site. Their rules are clear in writing and they follow up every of my concern. I will keep bidding and buying on this site.

I ordered a display case which is not the correct color - came in Maple but ordered Oak. Unable to find contact information on website. Tried to use their email return and it claimed I never ordered the stuff, even though I have emails and receipts to show I did. Entered every number and code I could find and each time they say the item was not found. What a joke! Customer Service SUCKS! Winston Salem, NC

Greed and lack of respect for the sellers has ruined the Ebay experience, at least for most of the sellers anyway. If you buy new things from a foreign country, in bulk, and sell in bulk, yes, Ebay is THE place for you. If you are a small business or an individual trying to reduce clutter, forget Ebay. The Rules, Regulations, Changes, and the highest fees ever have changed Ebay from an on-line auction site to an on-line catalog filled with cheap, foreign made products. Sure, you can still find something you are looking for now, but in the years to come, greed will have driven away even the steadfast sellers who remain today. I would comment on their customer service, but there isn't any. At least not for a seller.

Ok every time I order from eBay it takes mad long! (No I'm not coping the uk I'm from the west we've been saying it forever too).They tell you beforehand an early date after you purchase it then boom. This will take 21 days and 17hrs and 30 seconds. Feels like I'm waiting for a video game to drop. Man can't believe I can compare eBay to Wish kind of upsetting. They tell you the person who's selling it is in California then why the heck does it say package shipping from Hong Kong?

Dealing with Ebay customer support is so bad. They really can NOT and will NOT change any thing you call about. They do NOT care. It's only concern is they get money from all parties! If you are a seller they continually put your money on hold for 30 days even though the buyer leaves a raving good review. It basically in an underhanded way makes the seller give a 30 day warranty on EVERYTHING! Sold a brand new in the box laptop. Yep 30 days to get paid. So the buyer gets to use the laptop for 30 days to see if he likes it. No sane business would agree to this! As I will not either. Account closed!

I like the buyer protection, but they usually side with the sellers. Also, I find it kind of lame that you cannot block certain sellers from contacting you. Ive had a few with bad attitudes get abusive when I said I no longer wanted their products. I got 10+ emails a day from one! I do not have a phone and that seems to be the only way to contact them, which is also stupid. At least you can chat/email amazon. Some things i've gotten very good deals on but others ive been ripped off with. I have to read feedback VERY carefully. Some sellers have multiple accounts which i am also weary of. There are various other improvements that need to be made, but the main thing making me consider leaving is the fact that sellers can harass you and you basically have to sit there and take it!

Pathetic bad service... everything MUST BE AN ADVANTAGE for Ebay!... I have over 500 positive feedbacks... one negative one from a doorknob that had no clue on what a feedback is or why is left...
Well... because of Ebay bull$#*! rules, my feedbacks are at 97.3%... really...
It is very clear that Ebay is no going to do anything about it...
Why. Well... with their dumb rules I'll have to post and sale hundreds of items ( and pay Ebay)
To have my feedback rating go up...
Ebay is all about it self... nothing happens unless they make $$$.
Not what Ebay was... now the crooks are protected and the honest people Ebay members since 1997 are penalized!
Pathetic...

Ebay is simply one of the greatest shopping sites ever invented. Ive made several hundred purchases and sales over the years and have had great luck and was protected the few times things went south. Don't fear using Ebay, many credible sellers and companies are using Ebay to sell their merchandise.

I love Ebay, because ebay offer perfect platform for buyer and seller. If you are seller you have more rights to control your virtual stores without membership fee, and you can easily to know that your product's real value in customers mind by ebay online auction. Even if you visit US base ebay, you can find out product which is from all over the World...

Terrible customer service. Offered a return from an email sent me by ebay. They refunded the money but seller never sent the item back. Ignored 2 letters for help and then told me it was my fault for accepting the return even though they sent me an email requesting me to do so. Never again. I am out shipping for the return and the item. Below picture shows label I paid for and the fact that item was never returned to USPS. They refused to call the original buyer. Shame on them.

Ebay does not address issues sellers have with their accounts. They will not provide customer service to smaller sellers.

I recommend avoiding EBAY if you are a smaller seller and find other solutions such as CraigsList.

My family and I are regular eBay users, lots of items available in front of your phone or tablet and even without walking.
They have the 30-day money back insurance and the feeling of safety. Pay with Paypal, and you get another 150 days. We have the only bad experience with sellers with less than 4 stars.

I decided to sell some items I bought on eBay. Guess what? My account was restricted a few times and was shut down because of Authenticity violation. ALL items (a few Chanel earrings and bracelets, Chanel scarves, Chanel purse, Burberry scarves, t-shirts and other high brand clothes) are FAKE. EBay suggested me to contact sellers and ask for reimbursement. I did. No result!
But I have to be fair and to say that every time I've called eBay every person I've spoken with was very polite. The only problem is that no one could help with my issue :)) )!
Needless to say that besides sounds of dollars thrown away on eBay I stuck with all the crap I bought!

Tip for consumers:
Never buy on eBAy!!!!!

Sold a new/sealed game to a individual. Buyer says I sent a used game with a damaged case. Ebay rules in favor of buyer. I pay ship costs both ways plus seller dues. Then receive a devalued item. Basically trading someone a new copy for used plus paying them to do so. Sold the game for $20. Now just spent $10 in fees and get a damaged used game in return. Great way to push out individual sellers just selling unused items for more return then GameStop. What a joke. No where else can you open a new game and be able to return it for a full refund. Was told they would take care of it right after the claim started. EBAY changed their minds. Now all the costs etc fall on me.

This is literally the worst company in the world... always side with the buyer in everything. I was mailed back for a return an empty package-was forced to take a $300 loss. Thanks, useless customer support.

My name is Edward Wainwright. I purchased an automotive item ************** from ebay almost two weeks ago. According to sellers ad they promised 3 day shipping. It's been almost two weeks. No part and I have to fight for my money back. Never again

I do a little selling on Ebay and really don't make a lot of sales. Their costs are not great so you have to raise your price some to even make anything with some items. I do like them for buying needed stuff though.

I purchased an item. Had to return due to it not fitting my tablet.
Seller did not return full refund.
Very disappointed
Ebay complaint department was no help.
Poor customer service.
First time buyer
Will not buy in the future due to bad experience

Many times I`ve been a buyer and a seller at Ebay and generally the site is very good for such needs. Just care to get some info about the seller you are getting an item from, there are still scams on the market, sadly;(

I have sold somethings, but mostly bought.

I used to sell a lot on the site, but then they came of with this lame 5 star rating system, and if you get a 4 (good service) star average you can't sell. IT is really stupid, since a 3 star rating is satisfactory. The buyer doesn't know that anything less the 5 stars is bad for the seller.

From a buying stand point, I have been very satisfied 98% of the time, and like the buying experience on eBay.

This company is trying to rip you off from every which way. Their seller fees are border line criminal and the site is designed to screw you over, confuse you and waste your time. Call customer service and enjoy a new level of pain.

If your trying to get rid of extra items you have. Find a different site to use, otherwise you will be charged at least 10% of what you make. They offer free listing service but still take a selling fee. Hopefully they go under.

I've been selling stuff on ebay since 1999. Costs have escalated so I think they are trying to squeeze out the small sellers in favor of mass merchandisers. They pursue the customer is always right adage to asinine lengths. It used to be that if something got damaged in the mail, unless the buyer purchased insurance they were out of luck. Now I've been told that if something is damaged by the post office it is the seller's fault because the post office is acting on behalf of the seller- "they are your right hand." If you fight the issue ebay has no qualms about reaching into your paypal account and taking your money for a refund. That's probably why they only allow paypal as a method of payment. Plus they get the opportunity to screw the seller three times-listing, sale, and payment, since they own paypal. After I bend over and submit to the gang bang from the buyer and ebay I will be taking my business elsewhere.

Their platform help is bad, their contact is terrible and they just do not care about customers, only AI, I have been waiting 7 days for them to sort out a restriction that should not have been applied in the first instance. Their overseas call centres are useless and their senior management want to get their feet back on the ground at take a look at how the business is not functioning. It a shame they were a great platform to trade on at one point.

Such a shame what has happened to eBay over the years. Used to be a decent place to browse for collectibles, but no more. Nothing but hassle after hassle trying to use the website. Go to Craigslist or Facebook marketplace instead. EBay is no longer needed.
