A seller reported a package delivered to my address. We do not have USPS delivery here everything is left at our local office or PO Box when possible. I continued to check the post office for over a week with the postmaster. The package never arrived. I contacted the seller who said it was signed for, but it was never signed for because I am the only one who signs for anything or checks the mail. Ebay closed the case telling me no refund would be sent. There is no way this package was ever delivered, and absolutely no way I signed for it. Ebay is supposed to provide Buyer protection. They do not! I will never use Ebay again.

I have had too many purchases in which I had to prove the defect then ask, and wait for, a refund.

All of this wastes time and energy for which you are not compensated and, after all of this effort, you are still without the product you wanted.

Until eBay does something to clean up the many shady vendors that sell there, every purchase will be a complete crap shoot.

They kicked me off for no reason and I only made three purchases off this site never received one and got suspended for nothing cuz they think I'm putting them at risk! They are jokes and need to check their sellers! And I made my account last month and had my accounts for two months only then got kicked off and not telling me why I got kicked off! And please tell me how I was wiring money or doing money gram if I was paying with my visa debit card

Customer service will only help the seller, garbage customer service policy. Ebay can be renamed the protection of sellers association, the experience is very poor, strongly do not recommend shopping on ebay

I will be closing my Ebay account forever. Ebay just stole $227.00 from me basically! After being told I will get a refund for f150 seat covers, I just moved house and my printer is in storage so I have no way to print a shipping return label they, "Francisco" have closed my case leaving me with non fitting, poorly made junk! So much for "Money Back Guarantee"! I have pictures proving how bad these covers are, and will be exploring other options to recover my losses!

Ebay is one of the most useful deal finders out there. There is so much selection you can spend hours browsing and you won't get bored. There are many good deals and most things have a protection policy. The reason it is cool instead of heart is because there is a small chance you will get ripped of and need your money back. Also be careful not to over bid.

I've certainly had fine experiences through ebay, but the lone time I've needed ebay's protection they only sought to protect one of their best sellers (whom their customer service rep mistakenly addressed me as when she was looking up the case details).

The seller sold me a laptop with specifications embellished with features (in contrast to the manufacturers) that it did not support. I couldn't fathom a more clear case of deception/fraud. I'm done with this site after having had no need for their customer service in a decade of off/on use, the one time I had need of them I got to see who they really try to protect.

Protect Buyers only allowing them to leave Negative feedback. Minimal space for a reply.
Used their own overseas delivery method, sending 2 item to the same Chinese buyer, via Signed for recorded delivery.
Both items received & signed for by eBay, not notifications of any problems or damage.
Sent on & signed for by buyer.
Buyer then disputes transaction via PayPal. In both cases PayPal release funds, in the 2nd dispute, almost a month after receipt of the item, PayPal raise fraud case against the buyer.
EBay however, happy to allow negative feedback to remain on my 100% positive profile.

I found out I was banned from ebay in 2019.
I opened my account in 2001 and used it sometimes. In 2011 I moved overseas and worked for the U.S. Government at their overseas Embassies for 8 years. I retired in 2019 and moved to my home in the U.S. got on my account in 2022 only to find out ebay ban me from using their site. So ebay banned me from the site the year I returned back to the United States. I call and they did not give me a reason just that I was banned, they said I was a security risk. So after a number of years with an account, not using it for 8 years while living overseas, I come home to a banned account with no explanation. The only thing good about ebay is finding older items that people still have. I would give them a zero but cant.

I placed an order with an updates shipping address to my new address, however, this was shipped to my old address. I received no response fro the seller so I then called Ebay. I spent several minutes arguing with a customer service representative as to when the address was changed. Multiple times I told her it was prior to placing the order and did not know it went to the old address until the confirmation email was received. She refused to accept the fact that this was an Ebay issue and kept placing the blame on me. There is a reason I changed the address prior to placing the order... so I would actually get the item! Why can't a business just say technology is not perfect, let's see what I can do to make this right. It's not rocket science people. Ugh!

While it is possible to find some irresponsible Seller, for the most part, this is an awesome site if you are looking for a collectible or antique. I have been a buyer since 2005 and have gotten wonderful deals and rare antiques from this site. I have also found some amazing international Sellers of rare German Christmas collectibles. And the Sellers that reach out to you and offer a great deal on something you have "watched" is a great option I often accept. I would agree with some of the comments about the ability to reach the Ebay if you do have a problem, hope they remedy that. From this Buyer, I love the antiques I can find. Thanks to those awesome Sellers!

I sold a customer a printer. The customer put in an order stating they didn't receive it. I tried to appeal. No contact back from eBay. Even giving proof the customer received it. 9 months later they withdrew the money from my account. I sent an email informing them of the issue. They told me it was too late. I told them I tried to appeal. I showed them the customer received the item from the customers message. They refuse to give me back the money they stole from me.

Do yourself a favor. Don't sell on eBay. They will steal from you.

They do not help at all, very rude in their communication with the sellers, they only want you to pay for their services, but they do not consider you as a source for their income, they have a lot of customers, they don't care any more bout one or two, or ten customers. Buyers the welling to lie to leave a bad feedback on the sellers pages, and eBay they don't care about that matter.

I ordered something as a guest even though I had an account. Trying to log in to cancel this order is an absolute nightmare! They sent me a pin. Didn't work. I opted for a new pin by phone call. Didn't work. I have spent approx 1.5 hrs trying to fix this and have ended up so damn frustrated that I now have to suck it up. I will NEVER order from this site again.

Sometimes you cannot know in what state the product you are buying is. Scammers very well to hide features, so your protection is to buy on eBay from a normal store by checking their reviews and be able to return the item and other, and the other way to protect yourself is ordering by PayPal and not bank card.

I was shocked to see eBay has bad reviews, I have been doing business with eBay for over 20 years without complaining, it's actually fine, and they are okay, not below average.

I have been both upset and satisfied with selling and buying. Honestly more satisfied than unhappy!

Give eBay another chance. I did and the benefits are real.

This is an eBay site. I have been dealing with it for eight years, and I am a constant customer with them, and I have bought many things through them... But unfortunately, the last time they refused to refund me the price of an item. ،although I told them after the payment immediately that I don't want this item because its specifications did not match what was offered and I told and sent them the rejection many times for a period of time a whole month before the arrival of the item to me, but they insisted on delivering it to me and not returning My money to me... Also, there are two friends of mine with whom the same thing happened.

I ordered a pair of supposedly leather pants. The seller said they were in the US, they were in China. I ordered them and they are cheap plastic. The seller said they would accept my return but I had to pay for the shipping. It is eBay policy the seller pays for the shopping if the item is damaged or FAKE. EBay will not back me on this and there is no one to speak to in customer service now. Everything is done electronically. I need help.! EBay is now not a good place to shop. You can not get any help. I contacted them through their site and it was no help.

Tip for consumers:
I have purchased 5898+ items from eBay, not sellers which I have ordered more than one item. I do not like eBay anymore because you can not get a hold of anyone to help you if there is a problem.

I purchase from them but only the buy now items.So far I have gotten great service, fast shipments ( depending on where its coming from). I dont think the deals are good bidding. I would rather buy as a set price.

From car parts to plants, I buy everything from eBay and have never had a problem and the prices are great. Returns are easy and usually paid by the seller although not always. I had a problem once with a seller but eBay took care of it right away.

Will continue to shop with eBay.

Tip for consumers:
Check to see if seller pays for shipping and returns. Also check each sellers return policy before making a purchase.

If you want to sell something on eBay be prepared to get royally screwed over! They take a HUGE portion in commission for themselves without doing a thing! I prefer to sell things on Craigslist and not get ripped off.

I bought a motorbike crankshaft from eBay online shopping and only to discover that it is damaged, therefore, i returned it and the seller confirmed that he did receive it back, eBay then promised to refund me my money back in few days time and till this day no money was paid. They no longer respond to my email ever since they made the promise to refund me and now its been years. I wouldn't encourage anyone to use them because they are not reliable, I'm so disappointed.

Stay away from this site

I don't know who made up the bidding but it's all very stupid! First there is no place where the rules of bidding is written so how would one know when there's the bidding click instead of buy! I clicked by mistake! Second how stupid it is that there is no cancellation and how more stupid to threaten to put strict ions on your account if you don't pay! I'm not going to pay cause I don't want the item! I didn't know the rules and I changed my mind! If there would have been no return you should have written it next to bidding click! I will never use eBay again! It's conning people!

I bought a product on ebay from a company near me and arranged to collect it and pay cash but its a dreadful area so I asked the seller to give me a phone number in case I got lost. Ebay would not allow this and I was not much bothered but now Ebay has restricted my account so I cannot buy or sell anything. So I ring up and the Customer Service number is wrong! So I get the right one and they can't help so I ask to speak to the respondents supervisor. He's busy but will ring back in half an hour. He does not. I telephone again and ask for a supervisor again but he's busy and will ring back in an hour but again does not! Arrogant company without enough staff, those it has do not care for customers. I have bought or sold 800 items over the years and this s how they treat me. I have some transactions to complete and then will never deal with them again. I suggest other users stop dealing with this unpleasant company,

Ebay is not seller friendly and will oftentimes scam sellers! They will allow a purported customer to return items for any reason. Then the buyer is stuck with paying Ebay fees. Recently, I sold a vending machine and in the ad I clearly stated "vending machine only". The buyer wanted a credit card reader and Ebay allowed the return and stuck me with over a hundred dollars in fees and shipping expenses. Do not use Ebay. They have no respect for buyers and should be regulated.

Ebay sends a request to "help: consumers after each purchase by rating the transaction. BEWARE! What they do NOT tell you is that if you actually do give a fair appraisal- you probably will no longer be sold to! Many companies request that you contact them FIRST before giving anything but a 5 star rating. This program is a FARCE! This happened to me. When I contacted E-bay, they said it was not their "problem" and that the vendor was free to sell to whoever they choose. I will no longer aid E-bay in their efforts (in rating products or services). E-bay's true allegiance is truly only to themselves- NOT the customer!
