A seller reported a package delivered to my address. We do not have USPS delivery here everything is left at our local office or PO Box when possible. I continued to check the post office for over a week with the postmaster. The package never arrived. I contacted the seller who said it was signed for, but it was never signed for because I am the only one who signs for anything or checks the mail. Ebay closed the case telling me no refund would be sent. There is no way this package was ever delivered, and absolutely no way I signed for it. Ebay is supposed to provide Buyer protection. They do not! I will never use Ebay again.

Terrible backend support for sellers. I do not recommend being a seller on ebay. Ebay protects buyers, whether they are scammers or not, over top rated sellers. They promise to do things but never do them. Their "system" will handle any request. So no matter if that takes 30 days, 60 days, or 6 months they do not care. The only protection you have on ebay is as a buyer.

Return and money back guarantee policy is totally worthless.
Ordered two identical Item- one was defected.
Asked to return defective Item or have a refund issued.
The seller closed refund request and will not respond to any Correspondence. Called Ebay customer service and they said there was nothing they could do. That we had to deal directly with ths seller. Who is not responding to attempts to correspond for weeks.

Google Play keeps taking money out of my accounts from PayPal. I have tried to contact eBay to know success. I've contacted Google Play to ask them to please stop taking money out of my account and to refund my money which they never did. I finally took my major card off of the account. But eBay would do zero to help me you can't even talk to a live agent anymore. The reason for that is so less people will fight for their refund. I will never use eBay again ever for no reason

I ordered a set of headlights from ebay shipper is dt moto, they shipped them to a totally different city than i live at and they will not rectify the situation by giving me my money back or merchandise. They do not stand by their gurantees. They got me twice first time was 20 bucks second time 150. Not a happy camper

Always do your homework first! Example of some unscrupulous sellers. Looking to buy a 1998 Cubs Barbie and sellers are selling 2000 yr Barbie and advertising as 1998. Even when I contact them, they ignore the truth. Some sellers asking $500-1500 for a $20 doll. Know the product number and packaging. Don't be fooled or cheated by the unsavory.

I really like ebay, and you can find a lot of cool things on there.
It's allover a great site. Unfortunately some sellers on there are scammers. There is nothing wrong with the site, just some of the users/sellers. Make sure it's a trustworthy seller you're buying from before ordering things. I always do that and i haven't had a bad experience yet.

Check the sellers ratings.

Don't. Trust Ebay. They're holding my money for good reason - Unbelievable. Looks like they're just doing whatever they want, I don't understand why people have still trust in PP. It looks like that's the way they do their business, they hold your money and make a % markup by lending my money to other people.

I sold an item on eBay and UPS damaged it. To make matters worse eBay chose to still charge me seller fees of $970.53 as compensation for helping the buyer out. UPS is returning the item to me after they pay to fix it and eBay is still getting their money out of me. This company will screw sellers over…don't trust them…don't sell with them!

I sold old phones on eBay that I've bought off eBay to resell. After I sold it and 2 days before pay out eBay accused me of theft of the phones, should them the receipts of purchase etc of the phones. Then was called racist names from multiple eBay customer service agents. Was also called stupid and a pos. Now instead of getting paid nov 23 2022 now I have to wait until March 20th 2023, this company is a joke and Amazon is better. Can't wait for eBay to go bankrupt and lose everything

I've only ordered a few times on eBay but I haven't had any issues. The products that I received were as described and I had no complaints against the sellers.

I've also sold on eBay and similarly have gotten lucky. Each time an auction ended, I received money for the transaction (one time had to wait a week and had almost given up, but they did end up paying).

Tip for consumers:
Be careful who you buy from. Check their seller feedback.

This site is awesome. Been using it for almost 10 years now with absolutely no problems. Ebay is a tool, and like any tool you must know how it works. Ebay provides tons of articles and research on how to use the site and you should read them before purchasing. Use feedback scores to gauge seller authenticity. Be aware of shipping cost and payment methods. Also learn how reserves and "buy it now" works. Learn how to use it, and ebay can really make buying stuff fun and affordable. Some of the deals i have had frome ebay over the years have been nothing short of epic.

It's been the third time in 3 weeks I have been ripped off from Ebay sellers.
First Purchased iphone 6 seller robbed all his customers got refunded from eBay.

Second bought iphone again the seller has not posted and claims he has posted via FedEx and there is not tracking number.

Third order a iphone again the seller has Sent out an empty box.

What a disgrace

I don't sell anything on ebay, only buy. This way I can get some cheap random stuff I need that other people don't need anymore and are selling for cheap. Its not always reliable, but that's a problem with people, not the website.

This is a terrible company to do business with.
I created an account, listed my items. 2 watches.
They sent me an email saying they canceled the account with no reasons for it. And they also being very rude on chat. No explanation given, only the standard one. And they leave the chat.
This is ebay guys. A company in decline. I have all evidences and screenshots

Products used:
Tried to sell on ebay and with NO reason at all I got canceled after listing two hand made watches I made in the last two year. No explanation and the agent leave when he wants. Very rude

Ebay has been going downhill for a long time, ever since they removed the facility for sellers to leave negative feedback for buyers its been open season for time wasters and worse to bid on your items, mess you around, damage your items and then leave negative feedback. Their website for seller problems is impossible to navigate and they deliberately make it virtually impossible for sellers to appeal any decisions. Ive had several items destroyed by buyers and then returned facilitated by an Ebay returns process that totally goes in the favour of the buyer regardless of the circumstances - case in point I had 10 years as a seller and 100% feedback and the buyer had a a few months and no feedback and they still found in their favour. Its a totally flawed process and about time ebay started realising how much money is generated by seller fees! Ebay - start appreciating your sellers otherwise you'll have nothing to sell!

Accidentally listed an expensive item for 99c because of eBay's terrible UI. Ended up having an uptight buyer give me a negative even though I tried to explain. EBay decided not to remove the review which hit my rating hard. I ended up selling the item for a couple hundred dollars less because of this.

I recently purchased contact solution which showed a picture with a 2020 expiration date. The item I received had a 2019 expiration date. EBay ruled in the seller's favor claiming that the return window had passed and my negative review was removed.

Never try to sell anything on EBay!

Because of them, I've lost over $160 because of terrible policies, terrible customer service, and ridiculous fees. Have been a buyer for 10 years. I'm closing my account because of this.

Fun fact everyone, if you just SAY that a product is defective, the buyer cant decline it or do anything about it. Customer service will advise you incorrectly then their escalations team will tell you that because you're not a commercial seller, that you have no seller protection.

If you dont like your product, dont want it, or just because you feel like it, submit a refund request and say the item is defective. You'll rip off the seller and make out like a bandit. That's what happened to me. They're still charging me $18 dollars in fees too.

Buyer said fake.
It's from victoria's Secret store why they sell me fake pants?
Anyway ebay decided to gave her full refund and keep things.

Made me very sad

Stop selling things there for few years.

They are ton of bad people just take advantage of you

I experienced horrible service from ebay and I will never, ever use them again to purchase anything. During check out they did not ask for verification of where to ship the package and now it's being shipped to an old address. Trying to corrct this just after purchase is a nightmare. Thought I did correct it and even have a screen shot, but they ignore customers and it's still going to the correct address. May be why there is no phone number to call them. They know they provide horrible service.

Don't, ebay does not care about its customers.

Ebay forces you to give all your info on your business then they start doing it themselves. You be kicked off then your exact item now selling like hotcakes by someone else. Realize these so called reps workers who are supposed customer service news flash people they have there own Ebay accounts. It happened to me on multiple occasions and different businesses they block me then take over my business. Having all my contacts names and information connects for my business. My same exact item selling however no longer by me.

First I ordered table fan from eBay and they took 45 days to complete the process even they confirmed that they can deliver within 10 days. Again after some time once again I ordered helmet from eBay site that was biggest mistake in my life and they took another one month to deliver the products, friends dont buy anything from eBay. They dont care about customer satisfaction they are concerned only with money.

I will never ever use ebay again. I have enjoyed purchasing a few things on ebay, but recently I bought two antique chairs. Tried to return them. The seller argued with me. I felt like if I didn't like them there was no issue - just send me back the money. The pictures which were SOOOOO much better than the actual product were truly a disgrace. I am done with ebay.
If it seems too good to be true, it more than likely is!

Debility system ebey, otherwise just do not describe. Well, you have to wait 4 months for FOUR and nothing to get, oh well, you saw the date of receipt, well, yes, there and the first date in two months was. I do not mind waiting for that, but two months is usually the edge, without the tracks and go. It is necessary to force the sellers to assign the track numbers, they are given for any given when sending. I can not leave a negative review to the seller, it took 45 days from the date of purchase, obscurantism, stupid and unworked site, stupid support

We ordered a BBQ grill (coming from China),but we never received the grill. Filed a claim and Ebay denied it saying it "was delivered". What was delivered was a plastic keychain and even after sending proof that what was delivered weighed less than an ounce, clearly not the weight of a grill they still refused to give us our money back. Stay clear of EBAY! They do not deserve a rating of even one star but you have no choice but to click on one in order to submit your review.
