Ebay sorted my problem in full and deserve 5 stars as they are fair in the end. Thank Mr Ebay. Please do stop such practices adopted by sellers as that will increase public confidence.
A seller reported a package delivered to my address. We do not have USPS delivery here everything is left at our local office or PO Box when possible. I continued to check the post office for over a week with the postmaster. The package never arrived. I contacted the seller who said it was signed for, but it was never signed for because I am the only one who signs for anything or checks the mail. Ebay closed the case telling me no refund would be sent. There is no way this package was ever delivered, and absolutely no way I signed for it. Ebay is supposed to provide Buyer protection. They do not! I will never use Ebay again.
I was a faithful user of ebay for many years and never had any problems with them until they started changing everything. I had always sold handbags (authentic) had 100% feedback from all my customers and then they started removing my listings and eventually suspended my account. When I asked then why they said someone reported me for selling fake bags. Now seeing as how I have 100% feedbag from more then 700 satisfied customers I was outraged. And there is nothing I can do about it.
I had ordered for foot pump but they did not delivered the item and now they are not giving my cash back.
Item no. *******6987
Claim id *******
Now i have also registered on consumer court with complaint no. *******
So dear customers beware of these cheaters and froadies
They suspended me indefinitely for no reason after creating an account to buy a product. They have told me that there is ''risky activity'' in my account right after I purchased a product and refused to explain it any further even though I have just created the account. They also refused to give me a refund for my item and I have no clue if they will send it to me or not.
I have been in contact with their customer service for two days and they have been blatantly rude even though all my emails were polite, they have no interest in solving my issue even though I have done nothing that breached their guidelines, apparently buying an item from their site is a risky activity, can't say I disagree at this point since I just lost my money for no justifiable reason at all.
If you care about your money do not buy anything from this site because they frankly don't care for their customers.
Worst site to buy anything from. I bought something from a seller. Got the wrong item in the mail. Try to get the seller to send me the right item or give me the full refund. None happened. Escalated to customer support even called. Worst thing ever because they don't help you. They tell you they understand whatever you all suck. Never will ever buy from this again. I lost 17.99 and they tried to get me to sell the wrong item back to the seller who is in China which shipping is more and i wont get refunded for that. No way you just cheated out of money. I hate EBAY
I often use the site and until now there is nothing bad happened. Items quality are acceptable at their prices. Return and refund is also easy. If the postage cost that be paid by customers to return items can be reduced or canceled, it will be much better :D
If you sell items for eBay beware. If you don't sell that month still beware. EBay tanked a large amount from my account. I called and they offered a refund. Almost a month later. Originally telling me
Up to two weeks. My accounts overdrawn. My bills unpaid because eBay has not assisted in speeding up their MISTAKE. Three weeks not without my money. It's absolutely ridiculous and if this is how EBay runs their business shame on them for screwing over a seller. I will be deleting my account as soon as it allows me because it denied me to do so. Instead of a quick solution eBay pushed me off onto PayPal so they didn't have to deal with the issue anymore. Don't trust paypal
I had talked to a eBay rep on the phone and he was going to credit my account for $0.90 to bring my balance down the $0.00. I got a confirmation number. A week went by and that charge was still out there. Called again, and the woman said that he just never did the credit, but could see it; got another confirmation for the call. I got an auto generated invoice from ebay for $0.90. Called again, and this person said the same thing and would email the first person to go ahead and do the credit. No confirmation number for this call. So it has been about a month, ebay and I have spent hundreds of dollars on this. It is the principal... I might be cancelling my ebay account after about 16 years because of this. I believe eBay and PayPal suck for a number of reasons - very difficult to get things done and they usually can't be reached via email and just don't understand issues because of the way one enters it into the system, etc.
Sellers beware
Sellers beware! EBay moneyback guarantee allows buyers to claim anything they want about their purchase when they have buyers remorse and seller is responsible for paying return shipping. EBay debits you for outgoing shipping, return shipping, item cost and their fee! As a seller with 9 years of only 5 star ratings, they didn't even bother to give me an opportunity to defend myself. You can no longer call EBay. They might as well have tied me up and held a gun to my head because they robbed me, refunded seller all their money before I got item back so I am screwed.
I sold an item and sent it to a post office box and the buyer said the package was wet and opened when he got.He said all the contents were destroyed. He will not send pictures of the item and eBay is still charging me final value fee. Nobody would pick up an opened and wet item from the counter at the post office. I am out 800.00.Be careful doing business on eBay. They are crooks and doing mail fraud
As a seller their is no one to help you. Full of fraud buyers which ebay australia is deliberately protecting. Fraud buyers are very easy to caught but ebay doesn't do anything to help sellers. Ebay customer base is full of cheap and cheat buyers which ebay know and protect them. I end up loosing heaps of money which i was stuck i end opening a account on amazon. Incase of returns customer never return them and ebay pay them from our account. If customer know your business is around them they always try to visit you.
Tip for consumers:
dont sell one ebay full of cheap and cheat buyers. on ebay i loose money
Purchased from koala OK, first never came, second promised delivery never came. Emailed seller after first failed delivery second delivery never came. Tried to escalate thru ebay total failure. Customer service has no idea at all, cannot grasp the simple fact that they agree the pur chase was made but the my ebay sight has no record of it. Therefore it cannot be escalated. Hopeless. KoalaOK has my money but ebay is only interested in looking after itself. My advice is stay from ebay you will just lose your money. Roll on Amazon, who have a business model that looks after the customer unlike ebay who do not and are only interested in there own profits. Read the reviews I am not the only one complaining.
EBay as well as PayPal have became more like a Nazi regime when it comes to the way they treat there customers... They are starting to hold sellers funds for up to 21 days without any cause of action... No reason whatsoever I've had a established eBay account for 4 years and have sold over $45K IN products. My customer received the item i sent him and he left me positive feedback and eBay still demanded to hold my funds for 21 day... So if you plan on selling on eBay beware that you wont get your money until they feel like giving it you...

I have been using eBay for years. Lately it seems to be filled with scammers. EBay knows the issues because we reach out for help. I had one seller that decided to leave items out of the package. The seller told me that I can buy more items and they will send me the other items. They fought with me the whole way. I had to wait more than a month before I could even reach out to eBay because of their policies.
I am also getting an issue where the item is free shipping but then the seller will turn around and charge me shipping. If you want to put a reserve price then fine but you shouldn't be charging a shipping after you already said it was a free shipping.
I do actually like eBay but since you have to pay with paypal I'm not interested in. Paypal is so abusive the way they treat their customers. I found out paypal is an eBay company and that makes me lose all interest in eBay. The people at people need to learn some manners and quit freezing peoples accounts and then keeping the customers money. Since I know eBay is a part of paypal that ruins any positive thought I had for eBay. For a better experience, shop elsewhere where youdo not have to use paypal.
I had purchased a wireless mouse from ebay because i was getting lowest price on ebay
But after received i got dead product
Complained to ebay customer with hope that they will refund my money or replace the product but they didn't anything like they replied that i should contact to either service center or seller to resolve issue ebay is not responsible for such things.
Contacted to service center they says no warranty card no warranty contacted seller he replied i am not looking after sold things.
After N no. Of request no response from ebay still have dead product and as well i lost my money.
I bought something years back and complained that I did not receive the item. EBay then closed my account for no reason. I tried to dispute but it fell on deaf ears. Ever since then (past 8 to 10 years) I have not used them and don't miss them. I would never recommend EBay to anyone.
Been a member of the ebay community for almost 20 years. Customer service is non-existent. The site has become a haven for scammers, liars and cheaters. If you want to give your items away, this is a good place to start, scammers will take your money and your item and ebay will back them up. Used to be a great place to sell and buy, now the only thing you are doing is wasting your time and effort for the VERY few sales you will receive if you are not hidden by ebay. Not a fun place and I know why the sellers are leaving, all for the same reasons. No trust in the site, no customer service, scammers abound, ebay has become an awful place to try and sell any type of product, the small sellers can not compete with the Big Box Stores and the Foreign sellers. Had to find a new place and I did... ebid.net... a great place to be... try it, you will like it.
When I say watch ebay, I mean read the product description well. There is a lot of difference in which seller on ebay, you deal with. Some are real good, some are not so good. The really bad ones don't stay operating on ebay for very long. Over all I have had good luck with ebay.
Ebay seller support & protecting sellers is non-existent anymore. Making it difficult to contact them for live support, and when you do, you have uneducated representatives reading from a script and not qualified to answer questions not written in their script. If they don't know the answer, they give you a random response unrelated to your specific question. I was personally misdirected and misinformed on a refund question where I did NOT want to issue a refund, and asked Ebay to step in on the case. They told in order to do that, I must accept the return and "trust them". FALSE information, as it immediately accepted the return and sent the buyer a label. I prefer to sell and buy my product on platforms that both buyers and sellers.
I purchased a tricycle from a seller, Freedomstore 18, in China in March of 2023. After assembling the tricycle, I could not adjust the rear derailleur to get all seven gears. I contacted the seller and sent them pictures of the defect (gears not pressed far enough on the axle.) They replied twice, but it was obvious they did not understand English. Then they stopped replying to my emails. I had purchased a protection plan from Allstate. When I contacted them, they told me to contact the seller since there was a one-year warranty (I don't know where they got that information because there is no warranty stated on my order, receipt or manual). So I tried to get to Ebay customer service. After several attempts I managed to get someone to call me. They told me that someone would get back to me in three days. It has been 3 weeks and not response. I tried to get to someone through the automated chat, but none of the categories fit my problem. It's been 11 months and I still can't get a resolution.
Tip for consumers:
Once the return window has passed, contacting Ebay customer service is almost impossible.

It's a very safe marketplace with no risk at all, I just use this and if there is any issue eBay customer service handles any issues with the seller and provides me a full refund if the seller refuses to refund me or return the product.
They handle every issue professionally I had to call customer support for the faster process if the seller didn't reply, sometimes waiting time is a pretty much.
Ebay let a seller put me out $300 for a cell phone that barely has signal to work! This same seller has over 12 negative reviews in the past 6 months, but bcuz most of their reviews are positive Ebay would rather keep them instead. Was using Ebay for over 15 yrs
Customer Service are like robots reading from a script--absolutely no help at all, they are a waste of time--they are not able to give me a correct email address, phone number or mailing address for corporate. I buy alot on ebay--NO MORE, I will be closing down my account
Title says it all. I've been selling over 10 years and been scammed so many times by buyers who claim items were never received and despite the fact tracking info states "delivered" buyers still receive refunds so I'm out of money and lose my items!
I sold an item for £60 through the global shipping programme. I posted it using tracked mail to the GSP address. At this point, I had done my part. From the GSP centre, it's eBays job to get the parcel to the buyer. But the buyer had given eBay the wrong address, so they didn't receive their parcel and put in a claim for it. EBay then refunded the buyer at my expense - so I now have no parcel and am £60 out of pocket. They've told me twice now that the parcel has been returned to me, but the tracking shows exactly where it is - it's in Oslo. I'm in the UK.
