A seller reported a package delivered to my address. We do not have USPS delivery here everything is left at our local office or PO Box when possible. I continued to check the post office for over a week with the postmaster. The package never arrived. I contacted the seller who said it was signed for, but it was never signed for because I am the only one who signs for anything or checks the mail. Ebay closed the case telling me no refund would be sent. There is no way this package was ever delivered, and absolutely no way I signed for it. Ebay is supposed to provide Buyer protection. They do not! I will never use Ebay again.

Purchased what was supposed to be a radio and received a small plastic part. I reported it to eBay then I received two emails later saying it's delivered.
And since I bought as a guest they don't want to refund my money. The email had a link to create a account. But it won't let me use the email address I used to purchase the product. Go elsewhere and don't get screwed by a seller and eBay to!

This is a great site. I ordered two dresses from them and got one dress and a shirt. I was upset at first and called them and the rep said they would try to find my dress and get back to me. I heard back a day late but that's ok because they fixed the issue. They had already sent me the right dress which I got two days later with a prepaid little box to send them the shirt back. The reps I spoke to said sorry a number of times and fixed everything very fast! I love the dress. And for the mistake they made and fixed they gave me a ten $ credit on my next order! That's pretty cool. I would recommend to anyone. If something goes wrong its not hard to each them and they treat you with respect and really fix things pretty fast. Which lets face it most sites dont. So I love this site and will deff order from again soon

Ebay connects ordinary people with customers all over world. I have purchased a watch from ebay for my friend. After receiving order i seen my product which is for my friend. Watch was awesome and nice. It quality also good and looking very nice. Very convenient store to buy anything...

I got scammed selling something on ebay- they let the buyer return an empty package. My item was factory-sealed when it was delivered. Ebay told me they were only having the buyer send it back to me for my inspection, and directed me to call them back and verify that the contents were absent. The buyer claimed it was empty on delivery, but the shipping weight and photos refuted this. So when it was returned, against my will, I did as they instructed and called back to be covered by seller protection for not receiving my item back. They completely reversed their attitude and told me that in business sometimes there is loss, and that I should just accept it. Really horrible experience with them. They encourage fraud and actually set up the sellers for this kind of thing. They lie to us and tell us we are covered without any intention of actually protecting us from this.

Suspended my account for not shipping out 1 item due to being out of town. Now I can never sell on there. They absolutely suck. Tried contacting them and they said there is nothing to do, that I am the bad guy and I cant be on there. I didn't ship 1 item! And since my selling score is low then, I cant sell. It is a bunch of crap

Ebay is the worst! I am a seller who pays them for a store but because I made a few mistakes, taking some listings off they have suspended my account. Customer service was off no use. I removed 695 listings, the reason with I missed a few. Go to Poshmark!

Ever since John Donahoe joined eBay as their CEO and said "We had to create a vision of the future so people could let go of a very successful past." the site was doomed for the small, honest and exceptional seller. They now want to be Amazon, but the share price is evidence this will never happen.

I buy all sorts of items on eBay over the years... both new and used. I have enjoyed the whole experience. Shopping, Bidding and Winning. I always check eBay before buying most items. I have bought clothing, electronics, jewelry and even vitamins and supplements all at great prices! I can't say enough about the site - love 'em!

My item was lost in the mail, i have been back and forth for over 2 weeks with the seller and they told me that the item was shown as delivered, so they couldnt do anything about. Contacted ebay support and they said the same thing. These $#*!ers are the only people online store i have seen that doesnt help the buyer when the item is lost in the mail! So someone got free $#*! while i was the one that paid for it. Never buying from ebay again, it is always a constant thing with them and they always help the seller not the buyer. Also all the Reps give you different stories as well, they need to get they're $#*! together.

They strictly support the seller and not the buyer! As a grandmother trying to please her grandson, I will never use e-bay and my grandson is not allowed. We have always used Amazon and never had problems. We will continue with Amazon. Customer service always makes a difference in my book. Even for a few dollars more!'mn

If you email eBay corporate executives about a problem
Or issue that affects all eBay customers and has affected them
For at least 25 days, you will be sent a computer generated e-mail
Stating that someone will contact you in 3 to 5 business days. I
Have received nothing! LIARS! They don't care about the problem
And they sure as heck don't care about you!

I agreed to provide a refund if the item was returned to me. The item never made it to me although USPS reported it as delivered, I never got it and could not get anyone at eBay to help locate it or understand that I did not receive it. So, now I'm out the sales and shipping as well as do not have my item back. I will not be using their platform going forward. Their Customer Service is non existent

Ebay customer service is nonexistent. Several calls to fix issues and they tell me to go to the seller. Ebay has the wrong information in the system trying to charge me return shipping when the seller acknowledges they sent the wrong item and Ebay should not charge for a return shipping label. Several calls with customer service (Over Seas) and no help. Corporate does not provide any upper-level assistance and apparently no oversight. I will be moving my business away from Ebay.

EBay is the worst, I'm just a new customer who wanted to buy some computer parts for my new computer and sell my old parts to others and they suspended my account for no reason after I paid for my order and now I'm vulnerable to seller's fraud, I trusted them to protect me but they banned me, it showed how irresponsible they are. Should receive 0 star instead of 1.

I have a constant battle with ebay removing my listings, blocking my account because ebay don't know their own rules for trading. I've be banned for selling in countries I don't sell to many times. Banned for selling restricted products despite being an approved seller for these products. Banned for selling items which are not allowed to be sold on ebay, even though these products are not mentioned as being banned anywhere in ebays T & C's. You can never speak to a supervisor they always promise to call you back which if I'm lucky happens 1 in 20 calls. Bottom line is they don't care they make too much money and if they piss of or block a seller there is always another one. In time all the good sellers will probably leave ebay and they will just be left with the sellers who simply don't care or just rip customers off.

Tip for consumers:
If ebay say they will do something as rule treat this as a reason to get you off the phone as they probably won't do it. Exception being if you talk to someone from Ireland who will almost certainly help you as noone else has a bloody clue

A customer buys our equipment, and after a week claims it is not working. We agree to give him a refund once we receive the item. We received the broken item with few pieces missing. He admitted that he broke it. I notified eBay, and they still refunded him for breaking our equipment. EBAY IS A SCAMMER's Dream.
They make a purchase, they return something else instead and they keep the money and your item.
EBay does not care, they still make money from the seller and they continue to abuse the seller.

A scandalous experience with Ebay US, I opened a dispute for a vinyl record received scratched & paid with Paypal. Ebay Us asked me to return this disc, once the disc was received by the seller ebay Us refused my refund request on the grounds that the purchase was not covered by buying protection on ebay: so why ebay ask me ask me to return it? And what about the Paypal purchase protection? In addition I would have kept the Lp if I had known and avoided paying return costs of 30 euros! It is a scandal. I appealed to customer service, I got the same answer without any explanation on my remarks above, it's bad and dishonest! It's a scam! Beware.

I sold an Iphone, got paid and sent it to Ukraine. The buyer could not make it work with his cellular company so I offered a refund once I got the item back. Suddenly with out notice eBay debited my PayPal account for the full amount, the buyer never sent the item back and (obviously) does not answer my emails. Spoke to customer support and said they couldn't do anything. Shame on eBay, I was a > 10 year customer. Will never buy or sell anything with them

I had bought one HDD case the part which I received was defective. On the same day I registered a complaint for the replacement but unfortunately I did not receive any update/replacement till date it’s been 3 months.

After putting kids thru college I had a bunch of left over books of theirs in the garage. Finally got around to selling them and choose half.com as I had sold stuff on eBay before. Half didn't have a seller app but I found one from a company called mitad on the apple store. It was fast to list the books using this mitad app on my iphone, and the selling fees are less than ebay would have charged for the same books. But it took a long while to finally unload all of the books.

Tip for consumers:
if you are selling on this site its best to sell used items, way too much competition for new stuff.

Ebay is in league with the devil. It wins big in scams of would be consumers via default. It works by scammers using ebaymotor logos off the internet to get people to buy things using ebay cards for products that don't exist. Ebay does nothing to take down the phoney sites. Ebay won't even buy back the left over gift cards. I lost thousands.

With Ebay, most of the goods sold are done in a timely manner.

For me Ebay is the best website one can buy goods because in most cases you find that people who were scammed did not follow up on the product and seller so as to meet each other's standard (the buyer and the seller).

Please do not trust this company with your credit card. You request a refund and you get taken. As you can see after waiting 3 months for an item which was given 10 days to arrive i returned the item of which i have receipt of i will not be recieving a refund! Ebays exact words!

EBay decided to keep $1,575 safe for me. Car got repossessed, behind on rent, life is upside down, but Trust & Safety kept my money safe for me & for the safety of the eBay Community. I had deliberately sold two items April 06 & 07, to pay for rent & my car. I was also going to use that money for graduation. Missed graduation on May 05, car repossessed May 20, and I just got it back two days ago June 23. I talk about my customer experience all the time on my podcast. I'm going to San Jose this summer to talk about it too. Now that I have a lot more time on my hands, courtesy of the rats on a sinking ship, the unsafe marketplace, stock goes to $0, darknet that is eBay.

Tip for consumers:
Not safe! NOT SAFE to buy or sell ANYTHING on eBay!

I have been referring people to their site and gaining store credit and they recently flagged my account for something and took about $400 worth of credit from my account. I have tried to contact customer service but have not had my question resolved. I know they take away credit if you have more than one account but I only have one account so my question still remains unanswered. When I tried contacting customer service through live chat the girl "Rachel" was very unhelpful and exited the chat on me.
