A seller reported a package delivered to my address. We do not have USPS delivery here everything is left at our local office or PO Box when possible. I continued to check the post office for over a week with the postmaster. The package never arrived. I contacted the seller who said it was signed for, but it was never signed for because I am the only one who signs for anything or checks the mail. Ebay closed the case telling me no refund would be sent. There is no way this package was ever delivered, and absolutely no way I signed for it. Ebay is supposed to provide Buyer protection. They do not! I will never use Ebay again.

All in all EBay is a great website for buying or selling average to new quality items.

I wouldn't suggest selling tat or rubbish, as EBay always side with the buyer - under the money back guarantee.

That would be the only thing EBay should change the bias attitude as they always take the side of the buyer no matter how odd the case is!

I've sold over 65 things on EBay and not really had any problems other than some buyers having unrealistic expectations when buying one of my used products.

I'd definitely give EBay a chance, but be prepared for a few set backs if your a seller.

If your interested in joining EBay as a buyer then its 5* as you either get the item or you get your money back, if your not happy with the description you get your money back or if your 100% happy with everything you usually get a really good value bargain.

Terrible site customer service is going downhill not happy customer spend lots of money through eBay and now im anti ebay there policies are bad and customer service only applies to customers if eBay want your money they take it

Looks like ebay.com is a favourite haunt of the criminally-inclined sellers of the world. Poor customer support. Much manipulation. For feedbacks sellers may abuse you, stalk you for positive feedback. Pity it's not being blacklisted by governments of the West.

After trying other websites unsuccessfully, I contacted Ebay.com and I got a brand new unlocked factory S6 64 Gb, for lower prices with not signs of ever been used. Good profesionalism Ebay.

Before trying Ebay I tried two other websites and I have to sent the phone back because they came with scratches and other kind of damages even when they offered the items as new.

I have been buying a lot of stuff from ebay and it is very convenient to buy on ebay using Paypal and it is also very safe. The issue is you always have to find a good seller with great products, sometimes the purchase maybe not very satisfied and the return cost is very high especially for international sellers. Anyone, it is not bad!

A good trading platform with very wide range of goods. The interesting system of auctions expanding possibility of a choice. Convenient navigation on a site. Responsible technical support. I am happy with purchases at ebay.

EBay uses automated systems to refund money or rate sellers. The automated system gives no account to what actually occurred. Too many buyers use scams to override the system and then the system punishes sellers for those reasons. On the other side, if you legitimately purchase an item and it is wrong or damaged, you will wait forever for the system to refund you.

Bought an item from dotandbo_us. The item was delivered to the wrong address so I advised them I need a refund they said they would refund me the money but charged me again instead. When I brought this to their attention they only issued one refund and refuse to issue my other refund and advised me to contact ebay which is useless you cannot even speak to a live person, I will never buy anything again! The screenshots show the original purchase and then the second charge and only one refund being submitted.

Tip for consumers:
I do not trust Ebay!!!!!

Nothing never received the product or my money back!

I had a terrible experience as a seller. I sold an item internationally using ebay international shipping and ebay somehow put a wrong destination on the label and thus sent the item to the wrong address. Unsurprisingly, the item was never found and ebay, conveniently refunded the buyer charging my account! I called 5 times and every time it took them only a few minutes to admit that it was Ebay's fault, not the buyer nor the seller. However, they never refunded my money which is really unfair. I vowed I will never use ebay any more. This is not how companies should do business.

Your site don't even deserve to get 1 star. Your services are pathetic. I ordered one product which I wanted to cancel it because it was not delivered to me on time. I called a person who's picked up my call on first time when I told him that I want to cancel my product, right after it he disconnected my call and then again he did so..

Do not buy from autos from Ebay. They deleted my negative review of a dealer who scammed me. One week after I wrote an honest, but negative review, Ebay deleted it from the dealers record. That means many dealers who look good may actually be bad - you can't trust Ebay reviews.

I listed an open box item and explicitly stated that no returns are accepted.

However, ebay will not protect you if the buyer wants to return the item.
I called and was straight lied to. They said, "This is a recorded line and we guarantee that this case will be resolved in your favor by a specified date." When the date came, I called and they said that what that representative said to me was a lie. After this, I woke up and my return was magically accepted. I did not do this what so ever. They said I have been hacked. I am a software engineer with 10 years of experience in IT. I haven't been hacked. And if I was hacked... cancel the return!. The manager refuses to cancel the return even when I was allegedly hacked. I cannot believe this. This is an absolute disgrace. I will never ever do business with this horrible organization again. I will make it my personal mission to warn other sellers to never use this service!

Ebay is too costly and you can rarely turn a decent profit for an item. If you want fair market value of something you basically have to overprice it and rip someone off to get it. Seller fees are extremely too high. Piss on Ebay, i have better luck on craigslist

I recently sold a used iPhone 6 on eBay. The listing described everything exactly as it was and I had a no return policy. This means that unless I had falsely advertised, the buyer cannot return the item. This is not something that is hidden or convoluted. However, shortly after receiving my phone, the buyer complained about issues I had listed and started something with eBay. I was forced to accept a return AND issue a full refund. I also had to pay shipping both ways. On top of that, I was charged over $20 for the return policy. Its ridiculous as I followed the rules and policies to the letter and I was cheated. Im a college student treeing to make ends meet and companies like eBay make that even more difficult. While eBay had a good start early on, they are no longer a trustworthy company. Take your services elsewhere, for your own sake.

So I made a sale on ebay and they still refuse to pay me. The buyer paid and then left a good review no problems. Ebay said they needed to get my bank inro and to make micro deposits and that happened, all is well but I still have not gotten my money. What gives?. I now am really going to try other places to sell because this is bull$#*!, so ebay is all about bull$#*!. I am not a new ebay customer. I have bought and sold large items in the past but ebay is really making me weigh going there again. Wouldn't you?

The price of selling on eBay has become ridiculous for the occasional seller. An item that sold (4/22) for $450.00, eBay took $64 and change. It used to be that the seller knew exactly what the fees were going to be before you listed the item. The system is so convoluted and confusing that you have little idea what the fees are going to be until after you have sold the item. In this case the selling fees were roughly 1/7 of the selling price. What!? That is crazy! Communicating with eBay is extremely difficult. Their rules favor the buyer with little protection for the seller.

Tip for consumers:
Stay away if you are a seller on eBay.

If you are a small seller that sells stuff that you find laying around your house, please stay away! I sold something for $3600 and EBAY kept $600 as fees, plus because you don't usually sell stuff, they keep your money as long as they want, I have 99.9% feedback as a seller and buyer, I received positive feedback from the item sold from buyer and they still don't release funds. STAY AWAY! Hopefully lots of people stop selling and they will get what they deserve!

Ebay no longer wants small sellers. Ebay's new return policy requires sellers to pay for return shipping. This new policy has encouraged buyer scammers and small sellers can no longer make any money on Ebay. Ebays says the buyer is always right. In addition Ebay's traffic is very slow right now. Where can we go to make money? Who wants some really hard working sellers that just want to feed our kids?

Small sellers stay way from ebay unless you like to work for free.

The very day they announced they were closing is the day I sent a bag of clothes. There were over 30 items and I have not received them back yet. They have closed shop! They charged me to return them & the tracking # they sent me doesn't work. DHL says they never got it & the number is not valid w/ Fed Ex or USPS.
I have emailed them and sent them a message on Ebay. No response yet.

I've been selling on eBay for over 10 years and have always been did life by with taking care of my customers. I just received negative feedback and eBay has refused to remove it. The review is a lie. The buyer completely lied in the review and eBay has refused to take the mega or review off. After 10 years of consistent selling service, they are allowing some Ahole to tarnish my perfect record. It's not right and had made me look at eBay in a totally different way. SELLERS BEWARE

All the transactions i have made via ebay have gone smoothly. The website is easy to use. Some of my friends have had bad experiences with ebay and that is why I cannot give 5 stars myself. I will continue to purchase products through ebay.

I love ebay, because if you pay with paypal and the quality is very bad, you can get your money back. I love the prices for clothing and for jewellery (fake jewellery).

I bought in all those years (bought more than 500 different items with ebay) and had 3 less good experiences.

I have been an EBay customer for years, I had a great rating as a buyer. Then recently I decided to buy two antique hurricane lamps. The lamps never came. EBay told me they would give me a refund but only a refund to a pay pal account that I did not own! I paid with my American Express. So I lost $60 to an unscrupulous EBay seller and then never got a refund. My best recommendation is... go to a real store and deal with real people to avoid being ripped off. EBay is a terrible company and I will never do business with them again.

I sold an item and the buyer wanted to return it. When I received the item back it had a different serial number.(I have pictures) Ebay did not care and still refunded the buyer the original transaction & return shipping. Hello! I did not get my item back, it was not returned! Buyers can return an empty box and will still be refunded!

sellers have no protection

I heard many bad things about e-bay.com and I understand now that I should be listening to what people say. I normally use amazon and comparing to e-bay.com amazon.com is a very safe place to buy.
I got my item thought e-bay from China, it was not what the seller advertised, seller packed it badly and it was damaged during transportation to Europe, now... I wrote to seller and no reply, someone managed on my e-bay to write a very good review on item that I purchased and it looks like I am very satisfied, if you can imagine, I can't delete that review! I wrote to e-bay customer service and no answer. I paid about 140 GB for that item, and it looks like to thrown money in a rubbish bin. So, my opinion is the following, I thrown money in a rubbish bin that has such name as e-bay. M experience is very bad. I never will buy from them again, I will better not to buy even if I won't find it somewhere e else.
