A seller reported a package delivered to my address. We do not have USPS delivery here everything is left at our local office or PO Box when possible. I continued to check the post office for over a week with the postmaster. The package never arrived. I contacted the seller who said it was signed for, but it was never signed for because I am the only one who signs for anything or checks the mail. Ebay closed the case telling me no refund would be sent. There is no way this package was ever delivered, and absolutely no way I signed for it. Ebay is supposed to provide Buyer protection. They do not! I will never use Ebay again.

I have purchased many of my sons' college textbooks on half.com at great prices, and have likewise sold many of their used textbooks to others at great prices. Naturally one has to pay attention to the rankings of the individual sellers, but I have found the site to be awesome and quite a $$$ saver.

A lot of the times it is the sellers or buyers, they know how to skirt the system, knock on wood I have not lost any money to buyers or sellers, 97% of the time everything goes the way it is supposed to, most people are pretty awesome.

Not only are the fees super high, they also do not care much about you as a seller. I sold a purse in ebay and the buyer requested a return beacuse "the photos did not match the item sent", she thought a wallet is included with the purse I was selling although the description says bag only. Per the rep I spoke with, they can't do anything about it since my pictures had a partial view of the wallet. Told me I have to be careful with the pictures I post since it could be misleading. I guess they don't protect the sellers from people who doesn't know how to read, let alone have the common sense that an item is not included if only 1/8 of the said "thought it was included" iitem was captured. Do not sell here!

Purchased an item and it was supposed to be delivered by 04/29-30/2021.
Well, it wasn't. Contacted the seller and got lip service.
After another five days, I contacted ebay and they started the investigation.
I was told that I couldn't do anything until 05/12/2021.
They suggested again that I contact the seller.
I did and got more lip service that the item was shipped and was given another tracking number.
See photo on how that turned out.
With still no word from the seller, I tried contacting ebay support, that's a lost cause.
They have suspended phone support and trying to contact them another way is like a Tomb Raider/Indiana Jones adventure.
This is not the first time either.
I have had a few incidents as a seller where I was dead to rights, had all the proof requested and still lost out.
I have a few things to square away and then I'm done with them.

I recently purchased on EBay (from a company calling itself American Rhino) a dog Halloween custom for $20. When it arrived it was too small, so I contacted the seller by email and asked to exchange the item. The seller refused to deal with me and directed me to EBay. After 2 calls to EBay over 2 weeks, I was finally told an exchange was not possible because the larger item had already sold out. So now it was just a matter of making the return. After two more calls over a period of 2 more weeks, I finally got an email from EBay supposedly offering directions how to return the item. The link with instructions didn't work, so I had to call EBay a 5th time only to learn I was expected to pay for the return of the item. In other words, I was being directed to pay $10-20 in return shipping costs to get a $20 return. Needless to say, this has been a horrible shopping experience and I do no plan to ever purchase anything on EBay again!

I don't like to buy on Ebay often because I don't feel like I should trust in many of their products. I know a lot of people who buy from that website and they still recommend it.
The times I bought from this website, it's been good but it's not something I would regularly do.

Takes forever to get paid, high commisions, and no 1800#, no live chat, just poorly communicated emails. They don't have a 1800# because they know they suck. Use Ebay to Sell(or anyone else for that matter).

One star still too much for eBay, for how they treating the customers badly, in their collusion with these fraudulent sellers, by doing this they are losing everything, they dont know how to take care about their buyers, they should see to their competitors in the market how successful they are.

Purchased item from vendor. EBay let them play email games till it was to late to get money back even thought they had 6 bad reviews for product from same vendor. Even started taking down bad reviews for vendor

Purchased an item from queso_96 on ebay, then realized the picture wasn't the same as the description, so, I contacted the seller, I was given the run around and basically, and the request to cancel the order was ignored, and a tracking number generated anyway! I was told by this company to then refuse the package when it arrives and when they receive it they will issue my refund. The package was refused, however, this company had still yet to honor their word and eBay's policies. I have messages.

I sometimes shop on ebay as ebay has everything you could ever want at some point or another. I have a healthy fear of shopping on ebay and I always use PayPal. There is a ton of fraud on ebay so that is why only four stars. What makes ebay so great is that it is a great shopping resource. I go to ebay before shopping elsewhere so as to obtain as much information about the item I want. Great pictures and detailed information is available on ebay which makes it one of the best shopping resources.

I bought iPhone case as new and rose gold and received with scratches, the gold color and fake.
Be careful to buy anything at Ebay as I received no refund. AsI understand Ebay has a politics to protect sellers.

I had an agreement to extend the return time on an item from the seller, but I could not get the return label from them. I asked Ebay to get a label for me. Instead they closed the case. Because they closed the case the seller was off the hook and no longer responds to me about the return. I am out $140 because Ebay screwed up. When faced with this Ebay will not listen and continues to say the case is closed. It was their error that closed it so I asked to speak to a supervisor. He kept saying the same thing so I asked to speak to his supervisor. He would not pass me on, saying he had no supervisor. I became angry and then he said a manager would return my call in 24 hours. Two days later still no call. I am a seller and a buyer with a 100% rating, but now I cannot recommend Ebay to anyone. Not taking responsibility for their actions and being lied to by a supervisor is just disgraceful.

I recently bought a game for my son from a ebay seller turns out the game was fake. Reached out to the seller, ebay and paypal to get my money back no luck with anyone of them finally my bank refunded me and going after the seller. I have been a ebay shopper for as long as I can remember but when I needed them to step in and help no luck.

Brought an alien statue from this seller( friend-jp ) for US $349.99 as a guest buyer. Seller's description stated statue as very good condition and told me that he/she will inspect the item cause the item is in the warehouse.

Item arrive on time. Upon inspection on the statue looks mint in condition but the sad part is that when I try to attach the tail key right into the back of the statue keyhole the part around the key area couldn't hold the tail cause the keyhole apparently got tampered too big to hold the the tail key.

I decided to just consider myself unlucky to got scam for the first time and leave seller negative feedback of what happen but guess what? Upon hitting the " give feedback " button and entered a temp password provided by ebay I got the instant suspension notice.

That's make me wonder if ebay is trying to protect itself and seller from liability of what happen.

Bottomline stay away from ebay.

I do not recommend anyone to use eBay for any internet purchases, It's just wasting of money, I have bought an Item from this website and I did not receive it now more than 4 months without any valid reason, and they said to me they will not refund my money back, its just a fraud website. So please do not use it.

Don't honor their coupons, site technical problems galore- transactions will just disappear. You might think you can save a couple bucks here but by the time you figure in the time spent trying to figure out your transaction you are way in the hole.

Ok well It started from me selling a 500 dollar product then they wanted me to pay them for me selling my own product. I paid and then I wanted to delete my account, they charged my paypal 132.80 for NOTHING. I didn't authorize anything and now I cant get my money back because they finished the deletion process after they charged my account. I will never use this corrupt $#*! website again. Ohh by the way ebay owns paypal, ebay charges you 10 percent as a seller and paypal charges you close to 6 percent from the money you receive. Corrupt pieces of $#*!.

Full of idiots who don't read descriptions then give bad feedback when it's not what they wanted. Idiots that buy one item and expect the total amount available to buy. These idiots give you bad feedback and you can only give the bad buyer positive feedback, hardly fair on the people trying to make a few quid selling their things.
Customer service is terrible, very few humans to help 95% of it is machines.
Ebay charges £15 a month for one shop and you still pay 20p per listing and at the end of the sale they take 10-20%!

It's a shame it's fame has carried it's use on, although fame has made it the biggest auction site, it happens to be the worst!

Give CastOff or Ebid a chance they know how to treat Buyer and Seller alike.

Pretty fed up with eBay right now (and I have been a member nearly from the start).
So glad Amazon exists!

I purchased shoes from a seller, they arrived - two different lengths. I filed a request to return them. Seller filed eBay for "help" with this request. Ebay jumped in and denied my request to return shoes saying it was "buyers remorse" when right shoe was 10 inches and the other was 10 1/2 inches. How rediculous is that?

I'm not out my money thanks to eBay and cannot do anything with these shoes. Ebay even suggested I try to resell them - being a dishonest seller is just fine with them. BUYER BEWARE!

I know there are technically sales where you don't need paypal but they are few and far between. And if you don't use PayPal you can get scammed because ebay let's it happen. You also need a paypal account even to use an eBay giftcard! Rubbish and they could make so much more money if they were more like their rival. I can't use ebay the site is useless to me, shame.

They used to have decent customer service but looks like they are crumbling and desperate for money. They took 14.8% of the haulage fee I had to pay through the site and acknowledged I had to pay it outside of ebay as they didn't offer the service! Robbery. No other word for it

Tip for consumers:
That they no longer care if they retain customers. They have a meaningless script they follow "Thank you for being a loyal eBay customer for 20 years".

Products used:
Normal auction but had to add the haulage fee afterwards as it was the only way the purchaser could pay

Opened a new account on Ebay and won an item. Paid for it and received an email stating my account was suspended! I paid for this item, $206.00 and have not received it yet and when I went to look and see where the item was tracking wise, it doesn't show that it has been sent. I paid with a credit card and not my paypal account. When I clicked on 'I haven't received my item', it says I am no longer covered by Ebay buyer protection. What?!?!?! So, I pay for an item, Ebay suspends me for no reason and I haven't got the item I paid for? Is this not theft? The seller will be able to keep my money and the item I paid for? I will do a charge back. I am in shock and will never attempt to do another purchase from Ebay. So unhappy with this whole experience. I do not recommend.

I won an iPhone 6 for a great price only to find out that it had been stolen. I contacted the number that came up when i tried to activate it and it was the number of the original owner. We filed police reports and I tried to get the ok from ebay to get the rightful owner his phone but what was weird was that eBay requested that I return the phone to the seller, who I think stole the phone. Customer service initially told me to just file a dispute with the seller instead of contacting the police, which I thought was odd. It could have just been the customer service agent I spoke to as they later informed me to file a police report.
I'm supposed to get my money back soon which I am happy about. I wish that ebay would have worked more with law enforcement to get the original owner his phone.

Tip for consumers:
Just because a product does not come up as stolen, it still could be stolen. But, verifying them covers you most of the time.

I use to buy and sale from ebay. Today I decided to do this review so ebay won't do this to anybody else. When you try to contact a vendor for an exchange or returning that vendor doent respond ebay rules in favor to them and you never see the money. Amazon instead have a live person to speak to and return your money and then deal with the vendor. I'm do upset with all the money I'd lost with ebay. But I'm done. Hope u too
