“Ebay to my rescue!”

Ebay sorted my problem in full and deserve 5 stars as they are fair in the end. Thank Mr Ebay. Please do stop such practices adopted by sellers as that will increase public confidence.

“Ebay did not honor guarantee”

A seller reported a package delivered to my address. We do not have USPS delivery here everything is left at our local office or PO Box when possible. I continued to check the post office for over a week with the postmaster. The package never arrived. I contacted the seller who said it was signed for, but it was never signed for because I am the only one who signs for anything or checks the mail. Ebay closed the case telling me no refund would be sent. There is no way this package was ever delivered, and absolutely no way I signed for it. Ebay is supposed to provide Buyer protection. They do not! I will never use Ebay again.

I see alot of reviews and im not sure if theyre real or fake so i decided to write a review for others in situations like me. I have been shopping off of ebay a very long time now and i have probably bought over 50 items off of it. Out of those items i have not recieved about 2. The items do tend to take a while to come and as soon as the item hasnt come and its past the expiary date I message the seller and resolve the problem which has worked every time. All in all ebay is a great place to get cheap items.

I have been receiving occasional invites to the fairly new Coach online store located inside the Ebay web site. You do have to have an invite to get on the website, which I can't figure out. But when I have shopped on there, I have gotten really good deals on all kinds of Coach purses, cosmetic bags, wallets, key rings, lanyards, etc. etc. And they are the real deal. Most of their bags, even when heavily discounted, run about $90 and up, unless you get a swingpack purse (little tiny purse). I have purchased probably 10 handbags on there, both for myself and gifts, and only had to return two, as one was too big and one was too small. No problem with the returns, either. The quality is there, and there is a multitude of choices from sunglasses to jewelry to clothes. I have to restrain myself every time I get one of these invitations because I love my Coach handbags so much - and I want MORE! Items are paid for securely, shipped promptly from Coach, and are packed carefully, complete with the Coach care cards and the little tags that set off the alarm systems in stores if you don't get all of them out of your new Coach item! I love Coach Outlet!

They now charge 10% on your sale, then add VAT to that 10%.
Also have to wait 14days before releasing your funds.
Never will use eBay again.

Ebay could not care less about buyers. They love the thieving sellers too much to care if you get ripped off or not. Someone needs to stop the monopoly and make a similar site to buy items.

I can usually find what I want on ebay but price is higher then in others stores. Quality is usually good. I do not like paypal also. It is difficult to get money back if something happened.

Ebay has become a scammer and scalper paradise! There is a new scam on eBay tnx to the policy they have: you buy a product, seller doesn't ship it, you get mad message him, than he asks you to open a return, he doesn't refund, you message him again, he then tells you to close the return(cause you never received the product in the first place, so you have nothing to return). AFTER THAT YOUR MONEY ARE GONE/seller keeps your money and you have no recourse. Because of the way the eBay refund policy works, if you close the return, eBay won't help you even if you are "covered by money back guarantee", talk to suport, open a case, etc) so please be aware or steer clear of this website because nowadays scammers buy accounts with good seller rating, old to be trustworthy and then you are easily scammed!

Tip for consumers:
My case: boght a product got scammed by the seller and despite being covered by the money back garantee ebay straight tells me they won't do anything because the scamer knew how to play with the refund policy. and they are not even ashamed/apologetic/try to fix it or say/try to change the policy. i'm on ebay for 15y now and lately the websites it's full of scams from people that buy the accounts and scam people. this was the last straw, never again will i buy on ebay

I have been an Ebay user for years, buying and selling. I had a high seller rating, and purchased form a lot of great seller. Ebay at some point had lost all my information and I had to start back from zero, Ok so I will just build it back. In 2015 redid my account, not so much to start selling, but to buy things. With that being said, since then I have had a spinal cord injury and became a quadriplegic and it has taken me awhile to get back to doing things. This past week I started selling again, because I'm on a very limited income. I made a couple of sales, but they would not release the funds because they didn't show any past history, because they had wiped out my prier account. Long story short, I need the funds to be able to pay shipping, and they won't release the fund to me so I can ship. Even though the lost all my older information about being an A+ seller. Ebay has had other issues, but im done, plenty of other platforms to use online to sell, that a definitely more enjoyable and less headaches.

As a seller on eBay I jumped through hoops and was treated like a dog in order to become a power seller and keep my ratings in good standing. After dealing with many many unethical and dishonest people with no support from customer service I began to use my "Cancel Order" option to avoid being screwed since I knew eBay would not protect me. I had a 99.3% positive feedback rating with the only negative feedback coming from a dishonest customer who got his money back and kept my item which eBay refused to address. I gave away merchandise just to avoid any defects on my seller rating. Without a prior warning or email to let me know what was happening I received a below standard rating for having a 3.5% defect rate as a result of cancelled orders. Ebay reduced my account to ashes taking away my listings and moving my listings to very far down on the search listings. When I tried to cancel my account after 7 very frustrating phone calls I was told that I couldn't cancel my account while it was below standard. So now I have an eBay account which does not sell anything but still charges me all of the fees and I am helpless to do anything. There is absolutely no protection for sellers! I promise you, if you are a seller, eBay doesn't care anything about your business or your needs. They WILL screw you! No matter how hard you try to make all of the unreasonable customers happy, in the end, you mean nothing to eBay.

If I can give it a zero, I would.
I made a seller's account to sell personal items (a diffuser) and within less than an hour eBay sent me an email stating "they temporarily restricted me from selling".

At the bottom of the email, it gave me steps to fix the issue. I went to a live agent name AbhliashKumar that was completely useless in helping me. All he can say and repeat was that my account was restricted as if I didn't know that already (he took long intervals of 5-10min in giving me a reply, you could've at least told me to "wait" or let me know you're there).

Then he threaten that future accounts that are associated with my person would be suspended as well. What did I do so wrong that made you blacklist me from ever using eBay?

What did I do so wrong that triggered your committee into hating me to the point where I'm banned forever?

It was my first time creating an eBay account to sell
My goodies. I ask him if there was a reason why I had been given a harsh punishment. He was useless in giving me a definite reason. He told me to drop it as if hearing suspended/restricted forever is not triggering to a person that didn't do anything to deserve such decision-making from incapable people.

Isn't your website build on the purpose of trading goods. It would be best to set up a more secure account process if you're so distrustful of new accounts and make the ridiculous heinous decisions of suspending an account neither less future account/s for one individual. Free tip from a citizen!

Lastly, f%@ you a thousand times!

Tip for consumers:
Beware of being deleted forever for making an account

I ordered 4 pair of shoes that were supposed to be TOM; s when I received the shoes they were too small. I asked ebay to step in because the seller wanted to charge me extra to ship a larger size. Then after all that ebay informed that I would not be able to get my refund back... BAD BUSINESS, BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE... BEWARE

I have been selling on Ebay for several years now. When I First started out, buyers tried their best to take advantage of me as a new comer. When I showed them better than tell them, I was not that dumb, things changed. I had worked hard to be an honest seller and it seemed no matter what I did, it wasn't good enough. I endured enormous stress to start. After selling for over a year I have sold approx. 6,000 maybe, and of that amount have lost well over $5000. I have given away most of my items, due to outrageous fees, shipping cost, and so forth. I wonder why I am still selling on Ebay.com. Well the truth is, so far Ebay.com is one of the top sites for sellers to unload their products, but many people are fed up, including local businesses who I have spoken to recently who said they are about to close their accounts because Ebay.com is out for themselves, gives the sellers who earn their money for them crap, no respect, no rights, and the buyers can walk all over the sellers as they choose. I give Ebay.com one star recently because they are making improvements it seems, I just wonder who is going to benefit from those improvements. Hum.

Tip for consumers:
If you are seller, don't think you can make money selling low cost items. Your best bet is to market and sell high dollar items if you want to make any profit. Selling low cost items means you cover high cost shipping, not eBay's fault as that is on the post office, but you also pay ebay.com fees that are just outright enormous when you consider you are double charged by Ebay.com and Paypal.com, the two in cohoots working hard to make themselves millionaires or billionaires at customers expense.

Hey buyers! Want to know how to borrow a seller's items (especially electronics) for a few weeks, even if the seller doesn't allow returns? Under Ebay's Money Back Guarantee Policy, you can keep the item for up to 30 days and then falsely claim an item wasn't as described and a seller has to refund you or make you return the item and you'll still get a refund! Regardless of whether a seller files a report to the Trust and Safety Department against the buyer, they still have to be refunded. The worst punishment a buyer can get is just not being covered for claims anymore. Spoke with customer service and they admitted they were aware of the problem. I would recommend staying away from this company if you're a Seller. And if you're a buyer- why buy off Ebay? Cheaper sites to buy off like Aliexpress (will likely carry the same stuff), and Walmart & Target probably have what you're looking for. Also, mobile marketplace apps like Mercari/Depop have nice modern interfaces, people selling things for cheaper. I've heard from sellers that have had worse experience than me regarding returns- for that, I recommend filing with the BBB.

I live in Canada and over $200 worth of clothing never arrived and was delivered to the wrong address- not only would they not deal with DHL & CA post they actually just completely IGNORED me. They refused to respond to me! I am out over $200 and they won't even have the decency to look at my case. NEVER EVER AGAIN.

I have been an Ebay customer for over 20 years and I never had problem buying or selling. When I had an issue, the customer service department was more than helpful and resolved it right there on the spot. Monday, I was getting billed for an $800.00 phone. First, we all have Iphones and Mac products as evidenced by any purchase activity. Second, I would never bid on that phone on Ebay, especially if the seller is in the UK. I called Ebay and spend several minutes speaking to a rep. In/from the Philippines. She assured me that it would be taken care of. Two days later, I see a demand for payment from Ebay. I call them immediately and get another rep from the Philippines. I end up relaying the same information as if I never made the initial call to Ebay. I also uncovered that my account was hacked and the hacker changed my address to one in Brooklyn--never received the warning e-mails about account changes from Ebay. On the real, I think Ebay screwed this up because the address actually belonged to an electronic store in Brooklyn that deals with the disputed item. At present, the issue is not resolved and apparently, Ebay outsourced its customer service department overseas which may be part of the problem. VERY ANGRY with Ebay.

Fixed seller Feedback review system is a joke and unethical. This site treats sellers much better than buyers as they try to release thier liability. They ALWAYS side with the seller except for refunds issued because they want someone else to pay the refund not them. When you call they will tell you anything you want to hear and even will change feedback if you request it, BUT that's just another lie - they really dont care to help you they just act like they care. ITS A RIGGED SYTEM FOLKS!

I HAVE TO SAY I AGREE WITH ALL BAD REVIEWS ABOUT EBAY, THIS YEAR HAS NOT ONLY BEEN THE WORSE EBAY SELLING YEAR, BUT I FEEL EBAY ITSELF HAS CHEATED ME ALLOT OUT OF REFUNDS, THEY TAKE AND DO NOT HONOR SELLERS REFUND POLICY, THEY ALSO LIE TO YOU ON THE PHONE. EBAY HAS BECOME VERY DISHONEST

Tip for consumers:
do not sell on ebay, not a good selling company anymore, if seller lists correctly and does everything right, ebay still rewards the dishonest buyer and makes sellers take a loss by making seller pay for return shipping and also not following seller return policy

AMONG ALL ONLINE SHOPPING SITES, I FIND EBAY A BETTER PLACE. YOU CAN FIND A VARIETY OF PRODUCTS AT BETTER PRICES COMPARED TO OTHER SITES. THE ONLY DRAW BACK IS DELIVERY PERIOD WHICH IS BIT LONGER THOUGH BETTER THAN SOME OTHER SITES. ALSO IF YOU ARE NOT HAPPY WITH THE PRODUCT, YOU WILL GET THE REFUND EASILY.

WE HAVE GIVEN UP ON EBAY.
APART FROM THE PROBLEMS THAT I CONTACTED YOU WITH, THERE IS A HUGE PROBLEM WITH THE EBAY PAYMENT SYSTEM
PAYPAL IS THE WORST CHARGING SYSTEM I HAVE EVER RUN ACROSS. TOTALLY INCOMPETENT. WE HAVE CLOSE OUR PAYPAL ACCOUNT AS A RESULT.
THEN THERE IS THE EXCESSIVELY LIMITED ACCESS TO CREDIT CARD PROCESSORS. WE DO NOT USE ANY OF THE 3 SYSTEMS THAT ARE LISTED, NOW WILL WE EVER USE ANY OF THEM.
GOODBYE EBAY.
IF YOU EVER GET YOUR ACT TOGETHER, LET ME KNOW

DON'T USE IT!
