A seller reported a package delivered to my address. We do not have USPS delivery here everything is left at our local office or PO Box when possible. I continued to check the post office for over a week with the postmaster. The package never arrived. I contacted the seller who said it was signed for, but it was never signed for because I am the only one who signs for anything or checks the mail. Ebay closed the case telling me no refund would be sent. There is no way this package was ever delivered, and absolutely no way I signed for it. Ebay is supposed to provide Buyer protection. They do not! I will never use Ebay again.

They have a strangle hold on the market, or they would be gone. Their business model is terrible. The are way too aloof and disconnected to actually deal with. If you use eBay often and depend on it, eBay will eventually burn you. My entire family is now off of eBay for good, and none of us want anything to do with PayPal. I often wondered how they got away with the way they disregard the consumer protection laws. I have not used eBay in more than a year now, and I will not go back. I would love to see Jeff Bezos (Amazon) take them on, and it seems as though a bit at a time he is doing exactly that, and in fact eBay is losing market share annually, as various entities take over what used to be entirely their's alone. After all the hassles I have had over the years, I would love to see eBay replaced by a consumer friendly entity, though from what I hear from the vendors, they are not any happier about dealing with them. I also question their insistence on you using only PayPal... as it has created a market monopoly and is essentially double dipping.

Tip for consumers:
Do not ever trust eBay, and beware allowing PayPal into your banking account. I had PayPal arbitrarily empty my entire account, and it took months for them to even approach trying to fix it. I was eventually forced to close my eBay account and my bank account, and start all over. Caveat Emptor.

AMONG ALL ONLINE SHOPPING SITES, I FIND EBAY A BETTER PLACE. YOU CAN FIND A VARIETY OF PRODUCTS AT BETTER PRICES COMPARED TO OTHER SITES. THE ONLY DRAW BACK IS DELIVERY PERIOD WHICH IS BIT LONGER THOUGH BETTER THAN SOME OTHER SITES. ALSO IF YOU ARE NOT HAPPY WITH THE PRODUCT, YOU WILL GET THE REFUND EASILY.

Notified Ebay FOUR days before the auction ended,that a seller was auctioning neo-nazi stuff and they shamefully failed to act by
Allowing the listing to remain active up to the time the auction ended(obviously considered a few pence in commission more important than removing neo-nazi stuff from their site(as per their rules)!

I "purchased" an item from wyq******* but never received it. I waited several months as it was shipping from China and gave the seller a 2nd opportunity to resend the item. Finally I contacted the seller to request a refund, only to be told that the seller "could not find my order". So no product, no refund, and no help from ebay's so-called "customer service". If this seller has frauded me, I guarantee they have frauded others, and ebay is shamelessly allowing this. I will NEVER purchase from ebay again.

I don't use eBay anymore because paypal got me mad. Watch out as paypal has a tendency to just freeze accounts and not return the custo

Mixed experience. Some sellers are great but i in troubles a few times. Some items i got from ebay were definitely used or already retuned defective products...

TOTAL SCAM *BEWARE* NO ITEM DELIVERED TO MY ADDRESS. COST ME $85.99 FOR A DOG HOUSE AND EMAIL SHOWS DELIVERED 3/6/2020. DIDN'T GET ANYTHING HERE AND UPS SAYS MY TRACKING NUMBER DON'T MATCH. (WHAT) Better Business Call being made. This is a joke and very unprofessional! People deserve to get what they pay for. Would have gave no stars for this review but it wouldn't take.

They do launch investigation when a order is missing. I lost over 200 dollars because tracking marks delivered so its delivered. My item is missing but they wont do anything about it.

I have been buying doing Business threw Ebay for years and always was treated fair but I had a seller that I purchased an item from I ordered 3 of this item different colors one of the items which was a Blue orange and pink the blue I didn't receive I asked for a refund getting the run around contacted Ebay they refused to refund my money I ended up without the item and losing the money I sent proof of the two out of the three I ordered in a photo that I received so now I don't trust them as I did and probably will do less business through them now wonder how many other good dedicated buyers they pull this with as my photo shows I received the pink and the orange but didn't get the blue this is the exact photo I sent

I hv ordered a red tutu dress fr my kid worth rs 2300 bt I got a very very poor quality dress with defective flowers on it, cheap quality fabric, was giving a street bought appearance worth rs 300. I asked immediately to return bt no one has given positive response either the seller (STARTRENDYTUTU.COM a boutique in raipur) or the customer support team. They repeated same line that whatever I got is the best given from their side it cant get returned or exchanched as they don't believe in refund or exchanched policy. I must say ebay is a fraud site n profit earning by mkng us fool n cheatng us. please dont purchase any item from this so called ebay online store.as there is no option of no star or black star I hd to gv it a star. Bt this site deserves fr a sue in the court of india.

I CANT STAND EBAY THEY ARE RIGHT UP THERE WITH EXPEDIA MUST BE THE SAME INCOMPETE IDIOTS RUNNING THIS SITE THEY CHARGE YOU FEES EVEN AFTER BEING TOLD THERE WILL BE NO FEES. I PUT A RESERVE PRICE ON MY ITEM BUT THEY DID NOT HONOR THAT AND TOLD ME TO TAKE MY LISTING DOWN EVEN THOUGH BIDS WERE PLACED. I SAID THEN I WOULD LOOK LIKE A SCAM BUT THEY ARE THE SCAMMERS. SELL ANYWHERE BUT HERE...

Okay, just to let everybody know I was trying to buy a vehicle off eBay, there are literally dozens of scammers, selling vehicles and robbing people, it's happened to me, I've told Ebay about this they're not willing to do anything because for them it's good business but for the customer is not, I guess they don't care, I've reported quite a few scams now but they don't seem to do anything. Scammers open multiple accounts even business accounts and sell vehicles that they don't have, and their excuses is it's a classified ad, so we can't do anything for the customer, but for the scammer they do plenty, they let them upload beautiful pictures of fake vehicles, nice description, they even let them open business accounts so they can get their quids in. Well I'll be posting this type of review all over social media. Oh and another thing. Once this happens, the banks are on their side as well i.e. Santander and Lloyds the two that I know, the two that always advertise,
Were here to help, especially Lloyds.
I told Lloyds in time they said the money was pending, It was the weekend by Monday instead of putting a hold on the money, they let it go. It's a disgrace, but I'm spreading the word.

Be_be store sells almost exclusively what it describes as "authentic" Tiffany jewelry. The jewelry I received was fraudulent. I believe this seller's very large inventory of Tiffany items is air mailed free from China (google "Tiffany China). Merchant turns very nasty when asked about her source of jewelry: I received emailed ill wishes and threats towards me personally and also my husband and daughter (their names presumably obtained from Google). I've learned my lesson: BUY TIFFANY FROM TIFFANY.

Tip for consumers:
Please be aware that authentic Tiffany jewelry cannot likely be bought on eBay. There are many sellers like be_be store on eBay. Any seller who has has more than a few pieces of Tiffany jewelry for sale is very likely offering counterfeit items from China. Always check the return policy.

Ebay used to be the best place to buy and sell on the internet. In the last few years it has gone downhill for both sellers and buyers as well.

Ebay's rules and philosophy that they can run the business better than the seller is causing good sellers to leave in droves. With their restrictions and high fees it is almost impossible to make a profit as a seller on Ebay anymore. They are kicking out all the small sellers with collectible and one of a kind items and promoting the large sellers specifically those from China with cheap imitation goods.

The buyers are having a hard time on Ebay as well as most of the older more experienced sellers are either moving on or diversifying and putting all their good items elsewhere. Ebay has become the yard sale place and the place of inferior quality cheap Chinese goods. Not only that but buyers have to contend with new sellers taking the place of the older experienced ones and they do not have the experience to run a great customer oriented business.

What used to be a great place to buy and sell is now a shell of it's former self and is losing ground everyday. It has become nothing but a yard sale.

How many times in the last years, all of my items has been missing a lot. This time I claim my missing item and they didn't even refund my money for Case #*******582. They come back to me so fast within hours and leave a message regarding what happen. But, they don't seem to bother and follow whatever notification that is listed on their website. Do not even bother to order from them, I was their customer since 2013. Once, it is out of their hand and given to the mail carrier. Your item listed as it was delivered, and you didn't get your item. Close your account right away and don't even bother. They are just giving the sellers our money without your item being send to you. You might be lucky sometimes when you get them. I'm their customer for too long and how many items end up missing. I buy the item again and was received the same result. Their full of BS. I rather spend more on Amazon because your value as customer and they make sure you got your item. How many times they replaced my item? They even send them to me using their own delivery service. I been loyal for too long. I am closing my account because they don't even try to contact you or ask more questions out of you. Even you already leave messages or notes from the box they provide it to you when you claim the item wasn't never received. Don't trust their Ebay money back guaranteed at least your "qualified" like how they think you would then you got your money back. But, I wouldn't waste my time if I was you.

Ebay has a policy of witholding payment for 30 days for "High Dollar" items ($999+). The reasong they say, is to make sure the customer is satisfied and no issues with needing to return it.
1. I sold a sealed and graded collectible. This is an investment, not a waffle-maker. The customer left great feedback immediately. HOWEVER ebay would not release the funds. The customer sent an email to ebay stating that they were thoroughly satisfied, NEGATING the reason for the money to be held. My money was held another 28dys, while my bank account went negative. Ebay is keeping, reinvesting, & receiving interest on MY MONEY! Ebay did not earn that money I DID.

I order a lot and have gotten 95% of good products. If a product does not show up and seller does not work with you by refunding then eBay will step in after a waiting period and refund your money.

Thank you, eBay, for facilitating the damage of my property. For allowing a buyer to misuse the return policy. For allowing a buyer to file "item not as described" because they changed their mind. For ignoring the partial refund the buyer and I agreed to before the item was returned damaged which, in effect, means I paid shipping for someone to damage my property, and YOU facilitated that damage. Thank you for showing me what an irresponsible and buyer-centric company you have become. Thank you for not responding to the three claims I filed trying to get a response so a different refund amount could be decided, but instead forcing a refund. That is NOT seller protection. Your ever so helpful customer support informed me the protection I got was to issue the agreed upon refund so I didn't get a negative rating even though the buyer used and damaged the item before returning it. Why, if that is the case, does it state in the resolution center to not issue a refund until the item arrives and can be examined? Rest assured I will be posting this on every eBay forum I can find.

I had a seller account with a spotless record for over a decade and they ended up screwing me over for chump change. A buyer filed a refund claim for an item I sold to them (first refund claim ever filed against me) but I challenged it and eBay ruled in my favor (buyer's remorse). The buyer later filed a fraudulent refund claim with PayPal and won. I lost the money on a perfectly legitimate sale and eBay still wants me to pay the fees. I told eBay that PayPal stole your fees so get it from them and close my account because eBay is unable to protect its sellers from fraudulent refund claims. Needless to say, eBay didn't close my account and still asking me for the fees. Ebay has been in a steady decline for years. It treats sellers poorly with price-gouging fees and selling policies that maximizes eBay's profits which often hurt sellers' ability to make a profit. The decent, honest sellers have been steadily replaced by dubious sellers and scammers. My advice is to stay far away from eBay. It's a marketplace that you're more likely to be fleeced. For that matter, avoid PayPal transactions, too. It's no surprise that PayPal is crooked since eBay once owned them.

EBAY has become COMPLETELY WORTHLESS! Last month(January 2023), they tried to FORCE me to send out a $140 item to a DIFFERENT State WITHOUT first being paid! They wanted to sit on the money for "AT LEAST 3 weeks" AND I was supposed to ALSO front the shipping costs! Name ONE COMPANY that would ship out an item they are selling BEFORE they are paid for it! There are ZERO! I even offered to just take half plus the shipping and they refused. Then, when I refused to send it out without being AT LEAST partially paid, EBAY tried to hit my checking account for the fees "they lost" for trying to COERCE me into fronting the sale! I told my bank what was happening and they recommended that I just close my account I was using for EBAY and open another one...which is EXACTLY what I did. EBAY will NEVER get another penny of my business...

Tip for consumers:
Do NOT use EBAY. Use Bonanza or some other site or better yet, buy local!

EBAY MAKES IT AS HARD AS POSSIBLE TO CONTACT CUSTOMER SERVICE. JUST SPENT AN HOUR AND COULD NOT CONTACT THEM. I ASKED THEM TO CLOSE MY ACCOUNT 4 MONTHS AGO AND JUST NOW DISCOVERED IT IS STILL OPEN. TALKED TO A REP. AND WAS TOLD THEY JUST REFUSE TO CLOSE ANYONES ACCOUNT FOR 180 DAY JUST BECAUSE THEY HOPE YOU WILL CHANGE YOUR MIND, ON TOP OF THAT THERE REP ALSO INFORMED ME EVEN AFTER 180 DAYS YOU HAVE TO CALL THEM BACK AND REMIND THEM BEFORE THEY WILL CLOSE IT. EVEN WITH NO TRANSACTIONS PENDING. I GUESS WHEN YOU CUSTOMER SERVICE SUCKS THAT BAD THATS THE ONLY WAY THEY CAN KEEP PEOPLE FROM LEAVING

JUST HOPE YOU DONT HAVE TO CONTACT CUSTOMER SERVICE. AND IF YOU WANT TO CLOSE YOUR ACCOUNT IT TAKES 6 MONTHS

Ebay is one of the worst sites you can ever think of while buying a product. I had been trying to buy a 32 inch led from last month onwards and everytime I call them they just say there is a problem with the system. I am calling after a month and trying to book the same led but still it is showing the same error. Then when I call customer service they say that they are facing the same problem and till now OMG. The seller who try to sell their products its a feedback GO TO ANY OTHER CHANNELS FOR SELLING YOUR STUFF BUT A BIG NO NO TO EBAY. THEIR MIGHT BE A LOT WHO LIKE PRODUCTS AND WANT TO BUY IT BUT THEIR FREAKING SYSTEM NEVER WORKS... HAH HAH HAH

Woild not reccomend ebay to anyone i shipped a package from tampa to miami, post office misplacwd the package in miami. My buyer complaon to ebay so they charge me back and refund the buyer 3 days later my buyer gets the package so now he has the merchandise and his money. I get screwed. 3 time in 5 years ebay has rip me off. Avoid ebay
