A seller reported a package delivered to my address. We do not have USPS delivery here everything is left at our local office or PO Box when possible. I continued to check the post office for over a week with the postmaster. The package never arrived. I contacted the seller who said it was signed for, but it was never signed for because I am the only one who signs for anything or checks the mail. Ebay closed the case telling me no refund would be sent. There is no way this package was ever delivered, and absolutely no way I signed for it. Ebay is supposed to provide Buyer protection. They do not! I will never use Ebay again.
Fraud Seller on eBay "malenna_898" delivered a faulty mini projector and I shared all details to her on messages, As per her confirmation I returned item via Auspost and he/she confirmed to refund but she has not refund me for 2 months and not even replying any message, I attached few conversations. I reported eBay several times called them discuss to agents and they said they investigate etc till this time nothing happened. Extremely unprofessional and no actual support to buyers only verbally listening. This situation mentally tortured me, this seller lied to me and then ignore me by not replying. I paid postage for faulty product to deliver to them and this seller is such a big fraud! They think by not replying I will get tired and stop asking my money. Extremely disappointing.
Got scammed by a seller who sold me a fake designer item. Paid £800+ for worthless rubbish. EBay was so unhelpful and gave conflicting advice. This dragged out the process, caused unnecessary stress and confusion. I'm still fighting for my refund until today. But the seller is allowed to continue defrauding buyers. After this experience, I will NEVER buy anything from eBay again. AVOID seller ewelcia******* - she will STEAL your money!
Don't use e bay, terrible customer service. I ordered garden light. Wrong item delivered. Requested immediate delivery of correct item and collection of wrong item. I'm disabled and unable to get to post office. Two weeks later and several chasing phone calls and feeble excuses added to a complete lack of urgency, care or apology still no correct garden light. E Bay your a disgrace to internet buying.
I have been a member of ebay a few years but never before bought anything as expensive as a computer. After trying the computer for a bit it was hard to use, but of course the seller wanted nothing to do with a refund and told me good luck getting your money back! Ebay took over and got me a full refund with nothing that I had to do so of course I am very impressed.
Try to get ahold of customer service for an hour, the automated system is a joke and never get my answer resolved. Finally talked to a live person and was a terrible experience, gave me the run around and no help. After 4 years I'm done.
It was good 15 years ago. I really enjoyed it. Today, the fees are too high and it seems like I was spending a lot of time opening disputes for non-paying buyers and defective merchandise. People will ask $29.95 for a piece of junk that probably couldn't sell for 99 cents. Then there are the behind the scenes infractions like shell bidding and scams. EBay does offer buyers the opportunity to buy vintage items but beware of the price you will pay! In my opinion, eBay is still the biggest and offers the most stuff, but high fees and frequent scams have kept me away. Sometimes, an open dispute(s) can last for several weeks. To me, eBay's open dispute process is a bit useless especially if there is more than one at a time.
Tip for consumers:
Beware!! Read the sellers feedback closely and never completely trust it because some sellers have found ways to manipulate the system. Ask a question, I call it the jerk test. Usually if you receive rude or condescending replay, just say no!
Ebay is a great platform for purchasing and the buyer is well protected. Been selling on ebay for years, and it has become much harder to have a successful business model using this platform. They need improvement in this area but I will continue to shop!
I ordered a pair of Nike 270 shoes size 13. I received size 9.5. I notified Ebay and they said no returns. Do not order anything from ebay. I order things from Amazon all of the time. If there is a problem I can always return the item. Not true with Ebay
Have been shopping online here for years, have never had an issue, shipping is fast and customer service is great. Love the wide mix of items available and you can choose US only (some things I like to get from US only, don't mind buying out of country but love the option)
I opened an account willing to purchase some used items.
First they refused me from bidding. They said I can only buy "buy it now" items.
OK.
I purchased an item, paid for it immediately. The following day the seller contacted me and asked if I really wanted this item (weird?). I confirmed.
It a few minutes I've got a message that "my bid was cancelled" (it wasn't even a bid, it was a payment!) and my account blocked permanently!
I contacted their support and they told me they cannot refund because I'm not a registered user anymore since they blocked my account!
Stay away from this company!
I've been a loyal customer on eBay for a decade. I get an email that says my account has been suspended with no explanation, no details. And as a matter of fact the email disappeared too. There was no way to resolve the issue or even find out what I did this one single time in a decade. The last thing I bought was an 8$ ball. Since they suspended and then blocked me i couldn't and can't even look to see if there was a problem in payment or what. I couldn't even contact the seller to apologize. I must have had an old card but I would have gladly changed it if they'd given me one chance but like I said something shady about it and the fact that you cant get in touch with customer support or even send a simple email. Its absolutely ridiculous. Since then I'm a loyal customer of Amazon and hope ebay dies out and loses money. They certainly are where I'm concerned and everyone I know.
I love ebay. They are really good. I'm a member of ebay since November 2013. I buy a lot there, and every purchase is just how they describe, the shipping cost is very reasonable, but any way be carefull with bad sellers, some of them charge to much, the good thing is that you can find another seller with the same item, but with better price. Don't be afraid, try it. Good luck bidding!
Never order from eBay, This is a scammer site. They post pictures of items, you send your money. And nothing comes, and it's no need to follow the tracking. They know how to lie & make it look like the package is coming when there is no package. They go to the postal service & create labels. But never send the package. And You don't get your money Back. They lie & tell you that you have to wait 10 Business days for your money Back. When it only takes 1 second for you to send your money Amazon is much safer, & the Better Business to order from. Never order from eBay computer tech criminals

Order from Amazon, Amazon Doesn’t scam nor steal . Only eBay steals people money, & scam people out of their money. And refuse to send a refund back . Never send these criminals at eBay a dollar. Do not trust eBay for any reason

I bought two (2) Native American bolos tie one for $198.00 and the other for $97.00 and never received the items and some how the tracking note said delivered but where? Not in my mailbox. EBay said no refund and stole my money, I lost or was robbed by eBay $295. EBay is a corrupted company, please beware of the thief eBay administration. They get from me the middle finger. Honestly and Sincerely MP.

Do your best to avoid this site. Sellers are not vetted and product descriptions are purposefully misleading to get you to purchase. I will never use this site again. They are wild wild west of sales. No guarantees.

If you purchase items it may cost you more to return it than it cost so buyer beware, i bought an item that comes in several parts 7 pieces 1 part don, t work so i, ve asked paypal to refund me, they refused and referred me back to ebay? Their the seller wants it returned? This personolised item should not be sent back once used?
I have been scamed by a seller who never shipped or responded to my messages, and you told me he has 4 more business days to solve the issue before eBay steps in to provide me a refund. Technicality more than 3 weeks to get my money back this is joke. Will delete my account and rate my experience everywhere
This is the 1st time I have ever used ebay. Was Very Happy to find the exact cannister I had just broken. I purchased it from mcclamrock417. Everything went through smoothly, was notified it had been shipped later that afternoon. I just received it thru the mail and am more than satisfied. It arrived well packaged and sooner than I expected.

In the past few months I have had a few sellers that tried to deceive me. One actually raised the shipping cost without telling me as soon as I agreed to buy something. I contacted eBay and they could care less. I am moving on to other avenues to purchase goods. EBay cares less and less. I have been a loyal eBay customer since 2012 and it is only declined. It is unfortunate because the good sellers loose business because of these horrible people. But ebay allows this to happen.
My husband and I had a bunch of problems in this last week.
First his account got suspended because he bid on too much and then the first representative we talked to didn't want to do his job and said "oh, your account can't be unsuspended" which I didn't even know there was a limit to bidding. Then my husband sold two item which in turn they were to be return. He has not received his items back nor has he received the money. EBay has returned the money to the buyers even though the buyers have not shipped the items.
So he is now out of his two items and eBay customer service has said that there is nothing they can do if the items do not arrive which to me is BS. They always say oh thank you for being such a loyal customer with us for blank amount of years and yet they can't help when we really need it? Great customer service *note of sarcasm*

Member since 1997. I was a buyer but needing money, I became a seller. So far so good but the fees are killing me! I've always had 100% feedback. I just got a handbag I wanted to replace my worn out one. It was a rare discontinued bag but I was patient & instead of paying $239, I got it for $60, used twice & I believe it because it looks brand new! So far no probs. Selling!
I've had to call eBay for advice over the years & they're always friendly & helpful, of course I treat them with respect! Same thing with paypal!
I sold my used iPhone on eBay and the buyer expected no scratches from a used phone (eBay definition of used: some cosmetics imperfections but working). Ebay decided to refund the buyer money (out of my account) and still charged me the selling fees ($26). What a bunch of thief... thinking about filling a small claim case against them so they will not do this to others. NEVER EBAY AGAIN! Don.
Good, but Not as good as it used to be. Too many companies in various locations of the world now. A lot of misleading descriptions and pics. Don't know what u can trust and what you can't. Used to be a lot more individuals who actually had experience w/the item they were selling. Now, stock descriptions are used and the seller may or may not even know if It's accurate. As long as you know what you want, where u want to get it from, and check the seller's feedback and check the item description carefully, you should be good. I've only had s couple problems in 12 yrs of using the site.
First I don't buy any item from China, or Japan. I look for true USA companies for my purchases. E bay is faster to deliver than Amazon. (of course I don't have Prime, nor do I want it). I ordered a special flour from Amazon which stated it would ship in 1 month. That month came, then 2 weeks later I got an email. Product would ship in one more month for 2 1/2 month total for waiting. Needless to say, I canceled the order. I am wise to shop at E bay, you would be too.
