A seller reported a package delivered to my address. We do not have USPS delivery here everything is left at our local office or PO Box when possible. I continued to check the post office for over a week with the postmaster. The package never arrived. I contacted the seller who said it was signed for, but it was never signed for because I am the only one who signs for anything or checks the mail. Ebay closed the case telling me no refund would be sent. There is no way this package was ever delivered, and absolutely no way I signed for it. Ebay is supposed to provide Buyer protection. They do not! I will never use Ebay again.

I sold an item for £60 through the global shipping programme. I posted it using tracked mail to the GSP address. At this point, I had done my part. From the GSP centre, it's eBays job to get the parcel to the buyer. But the buyer had given eBay the wrong address, so they didn't receive their parcel and put in a claim for it. EBay then refunded the buyer at my expense - so I now have no parcel and am £60 out of pocket. They've told me twice now that the parcel has been returned to me, but the tracking shows exactly where it is - it's in Oslo. I'm in the UK.

EBAY does not protect the seller. They did not care about the actual situation and that the buyer LIED! They did not review my listing or correspondence in order to make a fair and reasonable decision. They simple gave the buyer the refund and I have to pay the return shipping for an item that was advertised clearly and correctly. EBAY SUCKS. If you are a seller, find another place to do your business. EBAY will screw you over. Oh - I forgot to mention I am a 20 yr member and the buyer they ruled for opened their account in May. Interesting, huh?

I have well over 500 purchases on ebay and have sold 2 items. I have only had one or two purchases that weren't completely satisfactory - better odds than I get at the grocery store. I have purchased quite a few items from Hong Kong and China and have yet to be disappointed with those purchases - as long as I'm not in a hurry. They are a good bargain store most of the time. You have to know your prices and comparison shop.

Bought an pair of Nike show shoes from the US but once the parcel entered eBays delivery service there has not been any progress. I ordered the shoes over 2 months ago and have not received anything yet. And since the parcel has entered eBays parcel delivery system you are no longer eligible for refund. So eBays refund policy is BS. And is a complete lie and can't be trusted. And eBay customer support has stopped answering my emails. So if anyone considers using eBay I strongly advice you not to.

I sold a pc on there recently and they told me they are holding my money for 30 days before payout. Yeah... I won't be doing business with them ever again. And on top of that they take to much of a cut not to mention even when I put ( buyer pays shipping) I still ended up paying for the shipping smh. I would give a 0 stars if I could.

I have called and chatted numerous times. They'd approve my account, then suspend all of a sudden for no good reason. I have filled out a listing I was trying to sell, then over and over. Granted, I haven't used ebay in years, and was trying to sell just 1 camera -- after so much headache of Suspended (Why?) -> Unsuspended --> I finally gave up. Not worth my time. The call center is obviously in another country and they want the company to FAIL

Stay away! So disappointed! They say their customer service is friendly and guarantee money back, but they are deceiving and horrible to contact! I lost $500 from Disney tickets cause the seller was a jack $#*! and cheated me and wouldn't give me the money back! I hate dealing with this company! Worst experience ever!

Ebay does not do there job for buyers empty package with stamp on box receiver without contents what you want me to call the police after hours on the phone? 15 years with Ebay Im done Mike Hedrick 2535 100% pos feedback. Over $100 gone in the last month & Im not going to spend hours on the phone & get a different story every time.

Ordered this item never received it although seller provided tracking and shipping information. I just wanted my money back they did not offer another item... idk were carrier left it... not my fault not seller fault but however eBay offered their money back guarantee but 2 days later told me they sides with seller so I will not be given a refund I had to appeal it so I did. The lady said I would get refund in 24-48 hours. Never happened had to call back again and find out the rep never sent any notifications saying she was going to refund my money almost a week later I'm still waiting for my money. I never used eBay before and never will try them again. It's a hassle trying to get your money back plus you get reps on phone who lie to you. They tell you one thing and then the next day it's something else. I called them more then 5 times. Ridiculous I use Amazon and should have shopped there first. I ended up going to the store and buying what I ordered off eBay.

I recently got ripped off my one of their retailers. After searching the net I got a phone number and sat on hold for 40 mins. Then started a email dialogue. But their email addresses expire after sending so they direct you to the website which gives you a one time passcode to call with. After entering that code they hang up on you automatically. Tried 6 times before I gave up on my money. There's better ways to shop than this.

Hello Guys, Don't trust this site's seller if you are plaining a purchase antivirus from ebay. They will provide you the Invalid Product Key and that will not work after sometime. I am facing the same issue. Don't trust these cheaters.

I recently purchased a product from eBay and got it in broken condition. Reported it on eBay site but unfortunately eBay is not so user friendly so the complaint went to seller directly. Since the communication between seller and me was happening through eBay I assumed eBay is aware of this complaint. When I called customer care they refused to accept my complaint and said that I was directly communicating with seller rather than contacting eBay. Now seller is ready to process refund but eBay is not taking any action.
Pathetic website and useless customer care.

Ebay is ridiculous now and becoming a Big brand behemoth by knocking out one by one the mom an pop sellers. You will soon not find neat, unique one of a kind items at a great price, everything will be regulated and mass market product. Customer support is all outsourced to philipines and they are snobby and rude. Ebay is going downhill as of mid 2013.

Ebay has always been my top site to look for hard-to-finds. But it's very complicated and discouraging to sell- policies are extremely unfavorable to sellers. But I must admit it's definitely a place with plenty of surprising great deals for buyers.

Dont use Ebay, i've got a lot of problems about buying staff and they just robb people as they work together with sellers! Ebay is useless is better go to the shop look buy and no headech! They r scams... everywhere!

I was reminded was i always shop with Amazon or Walmart. Bought an item on ebay recently, it arrived not sealed and not as described in the posting. Seller refused to return it, and ebay didn't intervene. Despite the fact that the listing said item can be returned and that it is covered by ebay money back guarantee.

I have purchased a number of fake gemstones like dyed green quartz sold as emerald and amethyst that is purple glass. Ebay is pretty good if you complain in a timely manner but they need to do a better job of getting rid of false labeled gemstones. I finally got a gem tester and as suspected I had a number of fake Gemstones made of glass or mislabeled sapphire that is actually aquamarine or topaz. I still uses ebay but rely on mostly trusted sellers and reading reviews of past buyers helps to ensure your getting what you pay for. I did lose hundreds of dollars on fake and mislabeled gems because I did not have a gem tester earlier and missed the window to get a refund. Ebay needs to better police some site that sell fake a misleading items.

9 out of 10 items I've purchased lately have been defective, scams or eBay pulled the listing after I purchased the item. Then I had to contact them to get my money refunded in two days instead of up to a week. I've had to wait days to get eBay to refund PayPal and then days and days to get PayPal to refund my bank. In a word, they suck and are straight up hustling. Avoid at all costs.

My account was recently suspended on eBay for "breaking policy". I could easily tell that that is not true, as I, as a seller, had carefully read all of their guidelines. I was selling digital products that hundreds of other users do as well, many with 10K+ sold products, yet I was suspended. Likewise, I spent over an hour attempting to contact support, but their website was broken and gave me an error every time. After finally getting in touch with support to explain the matter, they would simply send me a copy paste message saying something along the lines of "we're truly sorry for the suspension, but we will not provide you with a reason for the suspension. This is final". The support was impossible to talk to, and I have lost contact to sellers thanks to it. Said short; they suspended my account without reason and refused to discuss it with me.

Truly an unsafe and unhelpful site.

Tip for consumers:
eBay support are super unfair and careless. Couldn't even bother to send me a real human-written response. Sent me a copy paste instead.

I bought digital Pokemon products, sellers were nice but the eBay support was unfair and careless.

One of my all time favorite perfume would have to be Flower by Kenzo Red Edition. I remember the first time I ever smelt it as a sample from one of those perfume stands at the mall, and I knew that I would always be obsessed with that scent. The best way I can describe the scent would be having notes of orange, blood mandarin, and bergamot paired with orange blossom and jasmine. The only bad thing about it would have to be the price, which is why I recommend you buy the dupe version as it looks and smells exactly the same for only a fraction of the price!

Trying to set an account up. Came to the payment options. Found that even though their was an option box next to paypal this was a faux option. It is compulsory to tick the paypal 'choice'. Weird. I, m guessing that legally you can make a payment anyway you like, but ebay want to 'legally' force you to use paypal. Once you tick the box your choice has gone. I telephoned on numerous occasions as I could not understand why there was an option box, but it was not an option. After one hollow reply after another, the account was closed by ebay. I am now for life permanently banned from having an ebay account, unless I send documentation ie photos of myself. Strangely it hasnt killed me and I fail to see the punishment or bad effect of this. They are basically a law unto themselves. Judge, jury and executioners. The wild west.

The most awful along site I've ever used, stupid outdated policies that only protect the buyer not the seller and ensure that fraudulent buyers can commit their offences with EBays help and blessings. Useless customer service department that you struggle to email and they seem to struggle to understand basic English. For the fees you pay to use the site a yard sale with a three year old running it would be more efficient. I can honestly say I have never HATED any other site in the way I hate ebay. Useless pointless and aggravating.

Bought an apple AirTag which myself and and eBay agent couldn't get to connect. Went into the Apple Store in Belfast where they took one look at the box and said it was fake covered in Chinese writing. They looked up the serial number on their system and said it had been copied 20 times. So I gave a negative review to warn people and phoned ebay. They refunded my money, but took down my negative report. They said they couldn't tell me why because of data protection. Data protection has absolutely nothing to do with a review. They were supposed to be investigating this but the person is still selling online with 100% positive reviews You would think Ebay would be keen to get rid of people selling fake items Think I will report it to Trading Standards a

I have been a member for many years - you must watch the reviews and pay close attention to them. I think that has kept me safe from bad sellers. I have had very few problems and when I have had problems - eBay has back up with either holding the seller accountable or allowing another repercussion. There have been many companies that have tried to copy this and have failed. I have heard horror stories about other sites so I believe that eBay is doing ok and a well-trusted site in keeping up with trying to keep scamming down to a minimum. :)

Buyers can claim items damaged without any picture evidence and get items for free!
Sellers are held over a barrel for everything. Buyers can write LIES in their feedback and ebay will stand behind them! Even if you can categorically prove they are lies, ebay just don't care!
