“Ebay to my rescue!”

Ebay sorted my problem in full and deserve 5 stars as they are fair in the end. Thank Mr Ebay. Please do stop such practices adopted by sellers as that will increase public confidence.

“Ebay did not honor guarantee”

A seller reported a package delivered to my address. We do not have USPS delivery here everything is left at our local office or PO Box when possible. I continued to check the post office for over a week with the postmaster. The package never arrived. I contacted the seller who said it was signed for, but it was never signed for because I am the only one who signs for anything or checks the mail. Ebay closed the case telling me no refund would be sent. There is no way this package was ever delivered, and absolutely no way I signed for it. Ebay is supposed to provide Buyer protection. They do not! I will never use Ebay again.

I know that sounds harsh, but it's true. Awhile back I posted a review telling of how they stoled money from me, they recognized this and then refused and ignored my efforts to
Ask them to correct their actions.

Now I have noticed how they favor some sellers and disservice others by a consistent practice of placing certain sellers at the top of a page, while others remain either at the bottom, or in a lower position almost like a afterthought. This practice I have seen without exception in many product catorgories over the last 15 months. They have grown so big and without any real competition that they are resorting to criminal actions for more selfish profits for themselves, against the very customers who are responsible for their past success. A Class Action attorney should take a good look at this abusive corrupt company.

Amazon so much better customer service I'll never order again eBay. I was in Hold over 2 hours then gave up. Other companies if a long Hold says they will call you back rather then having you hold.

I bought an item, never received after. 1 1-2 hr Hold I wasn't assured a refund will be issued if the seller won't resend. Today an email said they are siding with the seller he sent it, its my loss the end!

They are very unfair and never consider their customers, it seems ebay has reached to a point, which needs to close their unfaithful behavior towards their customers.

They are not fair at all. Shame on you

Ebay is my worst experience, every time i order items from ebay my order always get canceled for some reason,
My friends always told me to use amazon and now i understand why, i won't ever recommend to use ebay especially when you order an item that you terribly need for survival of pet and then you get a Email with a cancellation.
Also when i call to ask customer service didn't even know why it got canceled.!

I shop on Ebay for more than 10 years and i can hardly recall any cases when i was unsatisfied.
Quality of the sellers is high, there is a claim process in case of any problems and support team works quite fast.
But from my point of view - the prices are higher then on aliexpress or dealextreme.
Of course it's not right to simply compare those marketplaces, but 50% of ebay sellers sell the same things as on aliexpress. Or they just drop ship.
In order to pick the right product among hundreds of choices i used to read reviews on http://skuguru.com
There are sections related to ebay, aliexpress and other internet shops.

Tip for consumers:
Read detailed product reviews on special web sites like http://skuguru.com

Bought lots of stuff and Ebay had my back. The one time I got screwed was my fault for agreeing with seller from RipMeOffChina who claimed he would send it again, well by then the time to complain was passed. You are limited on time to complain and review stuff.

My wife lists unneeded items on eBay from time to time.
In the past year two buyers were successful bidders on an item, she packaged it up but the buyer failed to pay or acknowledge.
Apparently eBay has no consequences for these deadbeats and just tells the seller to re-list it.
They don't suspend them or even warn other sellers that they have a history of making bids they don't follow through with.
Ebay seems content to collect their commissions on successful items and fail to manage their site otherwise.
Ebay doesn't seem to realize that their inactions are encouraging these deadbeats to make more frivolous bids with no consequence.

Tip for consumers:
Don't expect much from Ebay and you won't be disappointed

I was never notified by Twice that they were closing and I have $30 of store credit for returned items and was in the process of moving during the time they posted the letter online in July. They basically gave people a month to figure it out and request a check... then stole our money or merchandise if they werent contacted within that time frame, now with no way to contact them. $30 isnt a lot but it's mine regardless. Bad Business!

I found this and purchased a few different things over a couple of days. My first order was a very old sweater that was so faded. Second order was a pair of coach shoes that where $60 and so so fake. Worse quality than little girl dress up shoes! Third was a coach purse that was also fake had a sticker yes a sticker with the "serial" number that didn't even match this purse. Way to check every item twice! Do not order from this company

I personally use Ebay because their are a lot of cheap items and products on their. I have never used Amazon, so I cannot say anything about Amazon. Note to reviewers: Do not post a bad review because of a seller you have encountered.

Without going into to much detail I Had a problem with a seller unresponsive to email, disconnected phone. I contacted eBay resolution center seem there normal reps job is to act dump and be useless in an accent you can't understand and there good at there job. So the next logical step speak with a supervisor there seems they specialize in being useless and dragging there feet in a slightly easier to understand accent. The finial step was to then ask the supervisor to close my acct so they transferred me to acct service also useless, ended up having to go online and figure it out myself.
Needless to say I do not recommend eBay and that's after spending thousands over the past couple years and finialy coming to the conclusion the savings on a few items here and there are all lost if you have a problem. I will keep hounding them for my $100 refund but don't trust nor will I purchase anything on eBay again.

Used as a buyer for over 10 years with no problems. Started selling last year and had a customer decide not to pay for their item. EBay charged me the seller fees, over $10 and I had to jump brought a bunch of hoops before I could get the charges reversed and resist my item. Seller wouldn't respond or anything so I could relist. I had to wait until ebay said i could close the case. To top it off, eBay does not take action on the buyer and they don't allow sellers to provide negative feedback on buyers who don't pay. They should provide sellers with equal review ability and protections as buyers. I am sure that bad buyers lead to future bad sellers. Hopefully I will find a better auction site on sitejabber; I am no longer an eBay fan.

I contacted customer support to figure out why my account had been suspended. I assumed that it had something to do with my change in email address / password I made a while back in an effort to make my accounts more secure. I waited on chat for over 35 minutes and was transferred twice for them to tell me that their decision was final and they couldn't give me information on why I was suspended. I haven't done anything to violate terms. I am not a seller and rarely use the site to make purchases, so I am clueless as to why this happened. I asked if I was hacked, if I could create a new account, or checkout as a guest-- and they just disconnected the chat. Unbelievably unprofessional and unhelpful. Super frustrating experience.

My shopping experience has been great, but my SELLING experience has been AWFUL. I sold several books on there and half.com won't release the money into my bank account. Why? I do not know because there is no way to get in touch with them. You cannot call them, there is no online chat. You can e-mail them, but they don't seem to respond to e-mail, even though I've written to them multiple times, the first time being about a month ago, the second time being almost two weeks ago. All I know is that my account has been put on "vacation" and in order to get it off vacation you have to contact them, which is frustrating beyond frustrating since you can't actually contact them.

I had problem with shipment and called customer service and they said contact the seller. I said that o did several times without a response. They told me they can do nothing and they sent me the phone number in China! Should I call the seller? Why so the eBay is in the loop from the beginning? Totally irresponsible.

Can't complain about eBay. I own a small cell phone repair shop and purchase all the hard to find repair items I need from eBay. Make sure to log on to Fatwallet.com first before using eBay, so you get even more cashback than the standard eBay Bucks!

Time again we attempted to sell items being offered by other sellers and eBay shuts us down. Our items were listed using the same headings and listing descriptions used by other sellers. For example, we recently listed an antique Asian snuff bottle. There were 533 other listings for the same type bottle although the designs and colors varied. EBay deleted our listing as "drug paraphernalia". The 533 other bottles remain active. Look it up.

We are in our 80's and are not drug users, period. It just happens we have a smattering of Asian collectibles.

We have bought and sold on eBay since 2001. In our opinion, there has a steady decline in eBay and it is not the Seller's friend. We are using other selling outlets as much as possible as we try to downsize.

They dont even deserve a 1 rating
I have a 18 year history( mostly selling but NO SNAGS)
I have my checking account and 2 credit cards linked to my account. I have never had a problem paying fees or purchases, yet they are holding my funds! Yes, they got their fees and are collecting interest on my money! So so so very rude!

Recently, ebay had a message in my account stating they were updating to managed payments as their relationship with Paypal is ending. When I complied, it ended a listing I had that would have sold in 2 days. Their system then applied fees for this listing THAT THEY ENDED to my account. Supposedly they will no longer allow the sale of bullion as of this moment there are exact listings on their site. Previously, near covid I was going to list a small amount of masks that I had. I received a message that they were restricting the sale of these items when there was listing after listing on their website. I have had it with ebay! They are another company that has gotten too big and people need to start leaving in droves until they get the message that they need to start caring about how they treat sellers and buyers.
