“Ebay to my rescue!”

Ebay sorted my problem in full and deserve 5 stars as they are fair in the end. Thank Mr Ebay. Please do stop such practices adopted by sellers as that will increase public confidence.

“Ebay did not honor guarantee”

A seller reported a package delivered to my address. We do not have USPS delivery here everything is left at our local office or PO Box when possible. I continued to check the post office for over a week with the postmaster. The package never arrived. I contacted the seller who said it was signed for, but it was never signed for because I am the only one who signs for anything or checks the mail. Ebay closed the case telling me no refund would be sent. There is no way this package was ever delivered, and absolutely no way I signed for it. Ebay is supposed to provide Buyer protection. They do not! I will never use Ebay again.

I shop on eBay for the best prices on fashion and computer accessories. My last purchase for a designer handbag was handled perfectly. My last purchase for a heated mouse pad was also handled perfectly. I will shop there again.

I love my Hermes leather Kelly bag.
I love my ValueRays Heated Mouse Pad.

EBay has the best prices online and the two items I bought included FREE SHIPPING!

This is a scam company. They sell cell phones on ebay and possibly other electronics. Basically that fund their business by selling maybe 10% of their equipment as wrongly described. Then when the customer gets the item they purchased and it doesn't match the description, when the return is processed, the company says the item they shipped was in the condition as described and that since there was no damage by the carrier then the damage must have happened on the customers end. Then they refund you 50%.

This is a classic bait and switch and since they don't do it to all of their sales, then they are able to keep there ebay feedback up enough that their rating is a misrepresentation of the actual companies' legitimacy.

The holocaust happened because people were indifferent to hate and and wrong doing. This company is allowed to exist because of the same principle. The employees working there rationalize to themselves reasons for working for such a company, as well as ebay makes money off the whole thing so they do not shut them down either.

And we wonder why the nightly news is filled with people going crazy every night... its called cruelty breeds insanity... this is simple stuff

I sold a pressure cooker pro. It was sign for in good condition the thursday. Sunday i am sent a picture of it in pieces the buyer says it arrived filthy and damaged. EBay told me i have to accept the return, it arrives back in pieces, parts missing the damage is from being taken apart. I spend lots of time on the phone with eBay follow there advice they tell me not to worry. I am given no chance to respond. I keep getting e mails to refund the buyer. I am then told they found for the the buyer and i can call tomorrow speak to there appeals department. There is no such thing, eBay then tell me i can get my money back in 2 ways. Send the buyer a invoice from pay pal or go to small claims court, MY ADVICE USE AMAZON EBAY WILL LET YOU BE DEFRAUDED AND HELP THE FRAUDSTERS TO DO IT

These guys are pathetic in their return policies. Neither the ebay made any attempt to return the product nor the idiot seller. It was a deal to waste and loose my money.

Ebay is a group of useless support staff and they have hopeless and customer troubling policies, Guys plz do NOT SHOP WITH EBAY.

They simply replied we only offered a 30 day warranty from the day you purchased the phone... i truly feel duped and will never do business with them again... be careful when purchasing from cellularstream

Beware! The return policies can be hard to navigate, and if there is a problem, good luck! You will likely be talking to someone who barely speaks English and has a poor grasp of its meaning.

I got scammed by the seller XPS Direct on the ebay platform. A Dell Alienware worth of £2k+ laptop has been advertised by this indian seller with certain specs, and he sends it away with lower specs. He was rude and ignorant and he didn't cared ahout what he advertised and what he sent.

So i asked Ebay to intervene, and they said if i don't like it i can return the item and that is that. But if i'd be doing that he'd get away with his wrongdoings and they won't be doing anything. So i asked ebay to get the seller to send a refund for the missing specs worth of value, and then i left the seller a negative feedback.

What ebay did was to remove the negative feedback, and then also closed the case with no solution provided. So i got screwed £2000 by this indian seller and ebay alltogether.

Awful place to buy your stuff. There are way better places!

Have bought a few things but pretty much like to find the worth of items. Their pricing is dead-on... can find a deal here and there... no different that a clearance sale at the retail outlets.

Did some business on ebay through my relative's account: opened my own separate account this year. Due to my relative's account's restrictions, my new, clean account was restricted. After 2 days of speaking to ebay, (in India) I've been told the computer algorithm makes the judgments and the accounts will stay connected. SINS OF ONE TRANSFERRED TO ANOTHER: THIS IS FUNDAMENTALISM. I am a seperate person with a separate paypal & address.

EBay item number: ************** was purchased by me as "NEW AND NEVER USED" cell phone however that is simply not accurate for a number of reasons. Seller sticker inside the phone box states "tested, ready for REUSE", Sim card removal tool is MIA, protective plastic coating is MIA on phone, no seal on the box, not original box, no headphones, etc... so this was a USED PHONE... NOT "NEW NEVER USED" AS this seller DESCRIBE IN THE EBAY LISTING. Do not do business with cellularstream or Unified Solutions Corp who is a known cell phone refurbish service provider, not a retailer of NEW cell phones. BEWARE!

Ebay is great for a buyer. I love buying on ebay.

It is bad for small sellers. I've sold on ebay myself since 1999 and I find the friendly atmosphere and feeling of community you used to feel there has been on a rapid decline since about 2008.

My biggest beef is that there is no more authentic feedback system. A positive feedback left for a seller may not even be positive due to the detailed seller ratings star system. Most buyers probably do not know how much damage they are causing to a sellers account when leaving these 1 and 2 stars, and probably do it unwittingly. They don't MEAN to cause damage, but they do.

After three 1 or 2 star ratings, a seller can and probably will be banned, even with a 100% positive feedback rating.

Sellers are not allowed to leave anything but a positive feedback for a buyer, even if a buyer was difficult, abusive, unreasonable or did not pay, so there's no warnings for other sellers to heed. If you leave a message about the buyer in feedback that is less than glowing, ebay will sometimes remove it and warn you.

The last line of defense for a seller these days is to ban certain buyers manually, problem is, when you figure out who to ban, it's usually too late - they've already ruined your DSR or cost you in fees when you have to re-list what they didn't pay for.

I listed a few items of which you never get charged for listing they just took a 12.3% commission on a sale. Well I went into today to see if I sold anything and low and behold,,, I didn't sell anything but I owe ebay $84.00 just for putting my items on their site. Since when did they start charging seller fees, does not say that anywhere on their website that they charge other than commission.? Needless to say I will not pay them one dime as its a SCAM but also PLEASE PEOPLE DO NOT LIST ANYTHING AS YOU TOO WILL GET A SHOCK and NOT SELL A THING ANYTHING AT THAT

I'm happy with ebay so far. Haven't encountered a single issue yet. I haven't bought anything in auctions or from suspicious sellers, so maybe that's why my experience was so good.

Always had good experiences with eBay. No damage to items and typically you get what is in description.

Delivery is also within the period of time suggested and returns the same.

I don't know if the CEO or Management follow up with reviews or customer complaints but what I have to say is this is my first time purchasing a wig from them and I called about 10 times and all I got was set of unprofessional agents on the phone who need to go back to school! The agent told me eBay would refund my money back and when I called they keep transferring me from one agent to another because they insist on not giving me my money back. They need proper training and they need to go back to school. They are all a set of DUNCE RUDE people who don't know how to handle customer complaints. What they need to know is without the customer there is no business or Job! I will not be buying from you guys ever again! And y'all best believe I will be telling everyone else friends and family and strangers to stay far from EBAY! Y'all don't know how to solve a problem. Y'all giving out wrong information to ppl on the phone then change y'all mouth. Rude set of unprofessional agents and supervisors and so call managers. They need proper training. I do hope the upper management will see this and listen to phone calls that agent telling customer they are going yo refund money then no money back!

Wedding present and the company that eBay sends the watches to check if they are authentic are not trained or authorized to open these high end watches. My Rolex was opened as they open every watch and in the process they broke the gasket in the back. She bought it roughly a month before we flew out to Europe to get married to make sure it arrives on time. She gives me the watch and I take it swimming for 5 minutes in Italy and water gets in it. We immediately take it to Rolex in Milan and they open it up and dry it and notice the scratch marks on the back and realize that whoever opened it did not use the right tools or know what they were doing. This voided the warranty. We sent the watch to Rolex for repairs. In the US there are only 4 service centers that repair Rolex's. It took roughly two months for the watch to get repaired and cost $700. We reached out to eBay to tell them how much it cost to fix it and to get them to pay the bill as it was their direct action that resulted in this watch breaking and the warranty from Rolex being void. I repeat DO NOT BUY any high end watches from eBay. We and now in the process of contacting our lawyer.

EBAY is supported by Dealers (Sellers), they receive income from Sellers, and they will bend over backwards to help them win complaints. Consumers (Buyers) do not win or get their money back. FOR EXAMPLE; I PURCHASED A CITIZEN ECO DRIVE ON EBAY.
The watch arrived and it it said Citizen Solar, it was fraud, a scam I told ebay and they sided with the Seller. EBAY highly advertises Money Back Guarantee for buyers. This is a shame, they agreed with the Seller and I never got my money back. If you buy on ebay always remember "Buyer Beware.

We sold items for few months on eBay and each time we got trouble with a buyer even if it was obviously a scam, eBay supporded him. For them it is normal that in the end you spend money to buy your item, send it and give a full refund on it, it is like giving money. And beleive it or not, when they decide that is the seller fault (100% of time) they refun the buyer for you and they keep the fees for them! That is pure scam. Above everything they declare you are not a good seller anymore after few refund and even if you have 100% positive reviews, you are not appearing on the search results and you are then out of business. Because of this politic, eBay is attracting a lot of scamers, and the rest of buyers are on this website to get cheap products and are waiting the best services such as the one provided by Amazon. If you are a seller I strongly advice you to sell on other websites. I am using Etsy now and everything is fine.

On Nov 14 I purchased and paid for an item that was apparently fraudulent. Ebay cancelled the order but DID NOT refund my money. On Nov 16 I went online for a resolution. Because the order was cancelled I cant even file an online claim. I get stuck in an infinite loop of "you are not purchasing this itemplease choose another one". I finally spent enough time in their hellacious online resolution center to find a phine number - yep good luck with that.

After calling I got transferred 3 times and finally the answer was "I have taken care of this for you - it was definitely cancelled by us and you are due a refund. I have processed it and you will have a refuns within 3 business days."

Today is Nov 27 and still no refund. I have been a loyal user of eBay for years because I trusted that if anything went wrong, eBay would help me. I WAS WRONG. I will NEVER purchase from eBay again.

Tip for consumers:
Dont use it

Ebay over drafted my account twice, which claimed I owed shipping labels that weren't paid for, and the amount they charged me was just tax that they. Created and that they will be deducted that amount owed which I'm sure I had it set up for my sells and shipping will get deducted. Once I sell something and with the same amount they can deducted from that, but of the looks of it Ebay waited to tell me that I owed two shipping labels after almost a MONTH!

Tip for consumers:
Don't Become a seller with Ebay it'll be better to create your own website, so you won't get charged Created taxes that Ebay has made for sellers.

As you can see, I was permanently suspended from eBay within 20 minutes of creating my account. I attempted one purchase. Returned later to check on the bidding status and received the permanent suspension message instead. Maybe I was buying from an untrustworthy seller? I do not know because when contacting them they refused to give specifics stating it leaves ways for people like me who pose a risk to the eBay community to circumvent their community standards in the future. They said I had a pattern that showed I posed a risk to the community and could never be reinstated. I explained I had just made the account literally less than 20 minutes prior and have never had an eBay account before so I was confused how I could have a pattern of risking the community. They essentially responded with, "and you will never have an eBay account again," but in paragraph form. Before I could ask further questions I was literally told, "have a nice life outside of eBay and stay warm" and then they ended communications immediately.
