International air tickets are generally costly, so when you have a site like this it becomes fairly easy for you to travel. I have used their services numerous times and every time I was blessed with cheap airfare deals.
I booked my flight on Saturday, February 21 and got an immediate confirmation stating my flight was confirmed. After 10 mins, I get a follow up email stating there was a credit card mismatch. I tried calling them several times for the next 48 hours, waiting from 30 minutes to 1 hr and still could not get a hold of a customer service representative. Someone finally emails me stating the flight increased from $765 to $815. I told them that I will only authorize a payment with the original booking price and I haven't heard from them yet.
AVOID at all cost!
Worst service ever. Got a confirmation email when i made the reservation online, then 3 days before my flight got another email stating 'Please be advised that we are unable to issue your ticket as fare has been expired by the airline & your confirmed booking is on hold.' When i called they said the booking was cancelled because the fare had changed. WTF? I ended up paying a lot more to book another ticket directly with the airline, which would've been a lot cheaper if i had done that to begin with!
Tip for consumers:
Don't use this site!
Booked a ticket for my son and received further an email saying they needed further information. Was pretty nervous but called their number and spoke to someone called Marcus and received ticket straight away. He was helpful but I would recommend that you watch your emails as sometimes they need more info to make a ticket. All in all an ok experience with a cheap ticket.
Cancelled flights without notifying us. There was no e-mail (not even in my junk mail), no phone call, nothing! Almost impossible to talk to anybody when you call customer service. You can wait for hours and when you get through you get no answers to anything. They put you on hold after you've already waited an hour and then hang up on you. When asked why the flights were cancelled and we weren't notified, they simply said "sorry", without an explanation. Also, after providing them with my credit card details my card was compromised and I was charged 10 random charges.
STAY AWAY!
Terrible. They cancelled my flight so I had to rebook with another vendor and pay more because they waited 5 days to email me back saying "your booking was cancelled due to airline restrictions." What bull$#*!.
Price was quite a bit cheaper than other sites. Ticket has checked out with the airline so thumbs up from me. One problem with all these travel sites why add extra fees for cards at the end, why not show at the start so we know the final price?
Worst travel agency! Stay away!
Their faregeek app showed me the lowest fare for international flights, but I didn't realize that I have to change airports in Tokyo for connecting flight. I called them and Shane admitted that I will miss my flight. Then he gave me another routes but will cost me about $450 or cancel my tickets for $275. What a scumbag! You know it will cause me missing my connecting flight and yet wanted to charge me for your system reservation glitch? I called the airlines directly and they tried to help me to change my flights but at the end my ticket was locked by the scumbag agent. I have to go thru them for any changes. Don't fall into the trap! They pretty much has hijacked my reservation unless if I am paying more. I refuse to give them another penny of mine!
Do not book with this company. I booked flights online last week and as soon as I hit enter, to confirm my credit card payment, I received an email immediately, telling me that my flights were cancelled.
3 days later, I am still waiting for the funds to be refunded to my credit card
I was making my most awaited and earnest tour to Jordan and saving every penny to indulge once I reach the land! This website helped me with discounted tickets that added to my savings that I later used to buy a souvenir. Thank you so much.
This company is very shady and don't disclose terms, take forever to answer phone (1 hour+), and once they have your credit card number they basically tell you they will charge you for whatever fees they like even when those fees are not disclosed on their website. Thieu agents also are rude and speak over you and don't let you finish your sentence before interrupting you. They have no clue what customer service means and are clearly not in business to get repeat business from repeat and happy customers.
Tip for consumers:
book on the reputable sites like orbitz, priceline, or other major travel sites. Faregeek is the same outfit as bookairfare.com and they were only $20 cheaper but when they get your credit card they will charge it for what they like.
I cant believe the American system allows jerks like this to scam people and can get away with it. I purchased my ticket from these ""faregeek suckers to see my dying father in London. They emailed me at the last hour to tell me my ticket is been cancelled. I spent almost half a day trying to get to talk to someone by phone. Then this Nigeria-like sounding guy finally picks up the phone and tells me to contact the airline then hanged up on me. They didnt take my money out though but what a disappointment? I had to buy another expensive ticket to make it to London by then my father was dead. They have to be stopped!
Tip for consumers:
You get to this side through Skyscanner so be ware when using skyscanner. I hope they will drop faregeek off their list.
People ,people !!! Never never use FAREGEEK in your lifetime. Never !!! Please. Thank you
I had to fly to Japan last week for an urgent meeting. I needed cheap tickets within a short time span. This website was by saviour. Not that I got extremely low priced tickets. But the prices were discounted than the other options I had. That was very helpful to me.
Faregeek's headquarters is not based in the U.S. Therefore they are not bound by the SCRA. Meaning that if your leave gets rescheduled they do not have to give you your money back. In fact what they did to us was charged us 700 dollars to change the flight to a later date with no possibility of ever changing again. Furthermore my O-6 had to get involved for them to even allow the change. Also traveling overseas all of our flights were tentative meaning they were available on a seat by seat basis. You can imagine the frustration trying to bring a family of four to Kenya and back. Faregeek is not military friendly. Also they'll tell you they're a U.S. company, but they only have a home office Maryland. They're main office is in Ontario, Canada. So again, they will say they are not bound by the SCRA meaning they do not have to give your money back or reschedule your flight after you've booked.
Horrible experience with them. Like many other people writing the reviews I have also had the same issue with booking a flight having a confirmation and then emailing a day after to tell me the rate expired and asking me to pay a higher amount than what I agreed. I did not authorise that and called them. Apart from getting an extremely rude response from their customer service they told me my card will not be charged, when in fact the money was blocked and then they charged me the amount I initially was paying for the booking. Called them for a refund and told that they have to pass the information to accounts and that accounts will take care of this which they have not.
NEVER USE FAREGEEK.COM! This travel site is an absolute scam. They are rude and disrespectful, argumentative and made numerous harassing phone calls when I wanted to cancel a proposed reservation. They claimed to be United Airlines representatives and proceeded to quote a fare $2400! More than the one I finally booked directly through United--citing 'expensive taxes and fees.' I do quite a lot of business online and I have never been so insulted and offended. I cannot believe Faregeek.com is operating such a fraudulent scam masquerading as a travel agency. BEWARE!
I booked a round trip with them and then they sent me an email saying that the ticket was not issue because the airlines the used did not have an agreement and the fare changed because of a glitch in their system. They wanted to charge me 300 dollars more, and, of course, I declined "their offer".
They do not hold up to what they sell to you.
Since this was the first time I was booking my air tickets from faregeek, I needed some hand-holding. I dialled the customer service department and a lady named Susan attended my call and guided me patiently through the
Process. The guidance helped me immensely. Thank you so much!
Since I am frequently traveling and is always in search for the best deals, discovering new travel websites is of good use to me. This website seems to be a good discovery for me as I am able to locate amazing offers on some of my favorite destinations.
I wanted to know about the website’s refund policy and hence called up the customer care number. The young lady that took my call explained all the policies in an easy manner to me even though I wasn’t making a purchase. It’s a well informed and co-operative team.
I checked out the ticket booking section. Its awesome. The website is connected with some of the great hotels and offer economical rates without compromising on the service quality and other amenities.
I booked a flight from Toronto to Zurich over 2 months ago. I received a confirmation with a ticket number. Tonight, from my hotel near the airport, I tried to print my boarding pass and I was unable to do so. I called the airline and they told me that the problem was the ticket seller. After waiting for over 30 minutes on hold, the agent told me that they cancelled the ticket. They did this without notifying me. The agent promised to book a ticket and call back within 30 minutes. It's been an hour and no call back. To catch my flight I have to pay double the market price 2 months ago.
I also used the email which says "If you require urgent assistance after hours, please email us on *******@faregeek.com as we monitor our emails 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. We will answer your email within 10 minutes." No response in over 2 hours.
Tip for consumers:
As far as I can tell this website is not a real business. Time to put this website out of its misery and look at legal options to rid the Internet of scam sites like this. Be very weary of this site. My fear is that they are using the website to collect and resell credit card information.
Use a reputable website when booking flights.
I checked out the flight booking section the website has. The rates are very reasonable and you can get good quality service for a very less price. I booked my ticket to Texas and San Francisco using this website.
I called to book a ticket for my unaccompanied child with west jet. They sold me the ticket. After a few days I called west jet to get the papers that parents need to fill out. They informed that my child would not fly on their airline due to the fact that legally a third party company can not sell unaccompanied flights with them. So I called fare geeks back and told them the situation. Their supervisor even phone west jet to confirm and was told they are not legally allowed to sell that type of ticket. So he agreed to a refund. I have been waiting 5 weeks for the money, and everytime I call they give me the run around now. Getting pretty close to legal actions to prove a point on principles.
I faced a small issue when making my final payment using my credit card. The amount charged was wrong. When I approached the customer care department, the issued was attended proactively and it got solved with an hour. That was indeed helpful.
I was lucky my attempt to book did not go through. Whew! I called because the submit button failed to work and I didn't want to punch it twice and get charged twice. The customer service rep tried to book me over the phone for a flight that cost an additional $150 and had different dates. I canceled. Don't trust this outfit.

Don't use this site!
I am bit of an old school and had never purchased online air tickets until recently. I needed to book tickets for Vienna and it was decided at the last moment. My niece referred me to this website. As I was checking out the deals I made my booking and everything was seamless. I loved the experience.
